"You're nothing at all, you are a worthless specimen that I should've swallowed!" Mother said to me, she gets like this every time she catches me dozing off or playing around with my brothers instead of studying. I have no idea why she expects so much from me and I'm not even the eldest son. Yet the day I was born I was forced into this lifestyle, I have to be the best, better than anyone if I'm not. Then my mother will try to drown me again.

I remember that day vividly, she threw me in the water knowing damn well I couldn't swim. In her eyes it didn't matter, she knew that if I truly was the best then I wouldn't have drowned. She's right about that though, I am the best and I do prevail. Ever since that day, she became even more abusive towards me. My mother was supposed to be someone who I cherish, but I hated her. Every night after a long day of enduring her torment I would hurt myself, in ways I wish I didn't. I had begun taking drugs to not feel anything, so that I could deal with her shit but even the drugs couldn't help me after a while, so I turned to violence again. This time it wasn't myself.

"Ay..Ayato..!?" Mother cried out as I tore open her flesh causing her fresh scented blood to burst out all over me, I chuckled at this, then I pushed her away from me, and she ran up the stairs, looking at me with such terror in her eyes. "What's wrong mother? You're upset this shirt got stained with your blood? I happened to really like this shirt too..ah but it soaked up your blood, I don't mind that at all." I must've sounded insane to her, I wanted her to fear me. Kanato and Laito knew the plan, but my part was over. I had wounded her so deeply, I enjoyed every second of it, her painful scream, the shock, it was all so hilarious to me, I couldn't help but begin laughing.

Later that same night, Kanato had roasted her body to a crisp, I was finally free to do as I pleased. I could stay out late, sleep whenever I wanted, not study, not get beat every time I spoke back, I laughed out then plopped on my bed, still in the bloody shirt, I took it off and threw it in the fireplace. It is over now. I can finally close my eyes.

Once I started to drift into sleep, I felt the sudden urge to wake up. It was very cold in my room. I did not understand what was going on, the fire was crackling in the fireplace, I started scanning around my room and noticed in the corner, there was a dark shadow, "You worthless child, You will never be rid of me..I will come back!" The irritating voice was a whisper but it sounded like my mother's voice. Fuck...just leave me alone already! My eyes began to get teary, I despised her so much, I just wished the tormenting would end already. "Hahaha! Yes cry, you regret what you did...I'll make sure you regret it for all eternity..!" After she said that in her ghostly voice, the coldness faded away and the dark shadow vanished.

Shu: He would be sleeping on the staircase when he first saw the ghost but he doesn’t get scared by ghosts or spirits, if the ghost was making a ruckus he would get annoyed, but he wouldn’t care enough to be haunted , I don’t even think the ghost would want to haunt him, the ghost would get annoyed by the lack of reaction from this guy.

Reiji: he would just be drinking some tea in his room then feel a super cool breeze and all of his books would start to shake on his book case and slowly dropping one by one, then he would hear a voice whisper out, he would internally be screaming and panicking but wouldn’t move at all. He’d turn even paler than usual.

Ayato: he’d playing a game of darts with Laito when it happens, the target would drop to the floor, then slide across the room, he would look at Laito and they would instantly think it was the ghost of Cordelia so his reaction would be to start cursing it out and telling the ghost he’d kill it all over again.

Kanato: it would happen while he was in the graveyard singing his little songs, he wouldn’t get scared to be honest, he would try to talk to it but the ghost would get scared of him more than anything.

Laito: he’s with Ayato when it happens and he’s not too sure it’s the ghost of their mother due to the aura the ghost gave off, but he can sense some tragedy did occur to this spirit, he tries to tell Ayato to keep it down and that the ghost wasn’t Cordelia but Ayato refuses to listen.

Subaru: he’d be so pissed off a ghost was disturbing his flower time in the garden, he would also think it was his mother since the ghost caused all the white rose petals to scatter gently, it would shake him a bit but nothing too crazy.

Shu's Pov:

We spent days looking for Edgar...I mean Yuma but he actually was Edgar, I still could not fathom the fact he was alive after all these years I was convinced he was dead. After the fire he set for me to prove my love for her he had completely vanished, without a trace as if he was never here to begin with. I think I'm starting to go insane..I sigh out loud, even my music was helping me, I was not able to sleep without having this constant thought on my mind, I yearned to find him I had so many questions that I want to ask him, this is the first time in a long time that I have wanted to actually converse again. I guess I was too much in my head, I kept hearing my name being called out and it zoned me back to reality.

"Shu..? Hey..Shu..?" she was calling out for me. I looked at her. "Yeah?" I replied back, she began saying something, about finding Yuma and trying again but I was not really paying attention. I found myself zoning back into my thoughts as she spoke to me. It was foolish really, we won't find Edgar..I mean Yuma again, this is pointless, I sigh out in annoyance. " Shut up already..Leave me alone.." I tell her, I didn't want her to get more involved with this and me anymore, if she keeps getting close to me she will just end up in the same predicament as that guy too, I don't care if I stop drinking her blood, I love her so I have to protect her this way. She might not understand but this is the only way.

I've been in my room all these weeks, avoiding her, avoiding everyone and everything, it was all so pointless, I wasn't even hungry..this feeling was familiar..Another knock on my door, probably from her again. I didn't answer, I needed to get away from this manor for a bit.

I decided to leave for a few weeks, without telling anyone, not even her. I knew it was stupid but I still had a glimmer of hope left in me that I would be able to find him, I searched the deep forests, and mountains, by the ocean as well, nothing. I ventured into the demon world as well, no one heard anything, it is as if the name Mukami ceased to exist. Time works differently in the demon world. A month quickly turned into a year when I arrived back at the manor.

When I returned I wanted to just crawl into my bed and sleep, I was truly exhausted..this is the most I've been energized in years..I walked past her room and it was as if she could sense me walking by because her door opened, she looked at me with such sorrow in her eyes, I gave her nothing but a blank stare, my love did not die for her, it was simply closed off, I'm a creature that harms everything it goes near, I do not deserve her and I do not wish to see her in pain but she looked gravely saddened. "You left..no one heard from you in so long and you just left without a trail...I was so worried." She cried to me. "I do not have to explain myself..leave me be, I'm tired." I told her, I could see she wanted to say something but stopped herself, she nodded then smiled strangely, it was a twisted smile, unsettled by this, I went to my room and closed my eyes.

I believe a few days or maybe weeks had gone by, no one came to my door or bothered me at all, it was strange, the usual chaoticness of my brothers was at an all time low, as if no one was here, it was too quiet. I finally got up from my bed and the sight I saw when I opened the door shocked me, there was writing on the walls of the hallway that said "I love you" " I did this for us." , in deep red, it smelled like fresh blood, my first thought was Laito or Kanato went insane but then I felt my heart drop, did they hurt her??!

I felt adrenaline hit, in cold sweat I ran to find her. This cannot be happening again, I do not want to lose her too..I kept repeating this to myself, please let her be alive, please make sure she is unharmed, I found her in the dining room, all of my brothers were there, all of them lifeless, sitting in the chairs. She was there drinking a cup of tea and it smelled like, "Shu, you've made it.." she said smiling warmly at me, I was horrified.. "Why did you do this?" I asked her. "You don't understand..I found Yuma, but your brothers did not want you to see him..they were getting in the way." She said to me, it feels off though, I couldn't tell if she was being truthful or not but I decided to trust her.

She offers to take me to him, so I follow her down to the dungeon..strange place to keep him. "Why would he be here..?" I asked her, trying to not make my suspicion obvious. She gave a shitty explanation and honestly I was not buying it..I wanted to get out of there, before I could leave she stabbed me right before my heart so I knew I wasn't going to die but it hurt horribly, then she locked me up in a cell, making sure to restrain my hands. She took the blade and cut her wrist then licked the blood from the wound, kissing me deeply, feeding me her warm oozing blood, I've missed how hot it was, I wanted more but she pulled back and left.

"Let me out.." I told her, then I began screaming it but she was just walking away, before she shut the door she said in a whisper "Now, you'll never leave me.."

-They would have a daughter who is very androgynous. But identifies as she/her.

-Reiji is the second oldest, he knows what it’s like having sibling rivalry and because of this he only has one child.

-Was raised to be the perfect house wife but also an independent gal.

How do you imagine the shapes and personalities of Subaru children, female and male?When you said that Sho has a child who looks like Reiji, I laughed inside and imagined that if Subaru had children who looked like his three brothers, he would have a tornado in his mind,😭 but that's impossible because they're not even from the same mother. I actually will be doing the kids personalities and possible short stories for all the DL boys x Yui soon, well if that’s what you all would like to read now with Subaru..his kids could possibly have golden eyes since Karl Heinz has golden eyes but the hair color with either be white or platinum, we have no idea what Yui’s parents look like so the genetic play is very limited, I think their kids would have very light colored hair regardless. Their personalities would be very similar to their mothers more likely, however they both do have extreme rage issues/anger issues but only to things that trigger them, they also are very quiet and like to keep to themselves, very sweet kids when unprovoked.

I have this head canon that if Shu and Yui had kids together they would have twins, a boy and a girl. The boy would look just like Shu, but the girl would have dark raven hair similar to Reiji, this would honestly cause confusion to Shu but he’s educated enough to understand how genes work, but he would definitely jokingly question Yui like “you sure she’s mine??” Lmao anyway, the boy would have his mother’s comforting and compassionate personality but the girl would be just like her father, killer sarcasm but with a severe princess complex. Also Reiji is way nicer to the girl then he is to the boy. All their uncles would spoil the shit out of them, however Laito, Kanato and Reiji adore the girl, Subaru and Ayato adore the boy more because they can actually teach him things like hunting and sports. This is how I think they would look but yea that’s just my two cents, I wonder what their names would be tho:

I didn't even notice the time, it just hit 1 am...I have been studying for this Statistics final since 8 pm..I didn't even notice time was going by so quickly, I did have like 2 cups of coffee which is very unlike me but I did need energy. I heard music from a distance though, it was loud and coming from the dorms it sounded like party music, who parties on a Sunday night? I was a scholarship student so I tried my best to stay away from the rich kids, they were usually the party kids. I'm surprised campus security didn't shut down this party yet. Anyway I made it back to my dorm and just my luck, this loud party is on my floor..I won't be able to sleep at night if this continues and based on what I was hearing, it seems like their party just started. "SHOTS SHOTS SHOTS! WOOOHOOO!" I heard people yell in sync, it was very annoying. I'm not one to EVER go up to someone's door and tell them to keep it down but tonight might have to be the night...

I was shaky, nervously walking over to this roaring room. I somehow managed to muster up the courage to knock on the door, but that did nothing, I doubt anyone heard that light knock, so I did it again harder this time. The door opens. "Hey guys, it's okay~ it's not campus security, it's just some cute girl." A tall slender guy stated, he had a fedora on and smelled of liquor. Before I could even usher out a word he grabbed me and pulled me inside. There were red solo cups and empty bottles all over the floors and tables, there were a few people passed out, some were dancing about. "Hey, who's the host of this party?" I asked out to the guy with the fedora, he chuckled slightly and pointed at himself and a guy all the way in the back, he had spiky red hair and dangerous green eyes, his look was hard to forget. "I told you to stop inviting girls with a lackluster chests man." he said to the fedora guy, which made me look down at my breasts and I could imagine just how bright red my face had turned. "Don't look at my chest pervert, anyway I came here to ask if you guys can turn it down, I have an exam and I can't sleep if it's this loud." I tell them both, they look at me then each other and begin to laugh. "Not this foolish bitch thinking she can tell us how to live our lives~!" the fedora guy laughed out. "If we turn down the music, what will I get in return?" the other guy asked, his eyes gleamed at me. His gaze was very intense and it made me uncomfortable. "my gratitude" I stated firmly, this caused them both to laugh. "the fuck am I supposed to do with that?? How about you take your gratitude and go fuck yourself with it, or even better, let megive you that honor." His words were very rude and disgusting honestly, he was probably drunk but still doesn't give him the right to talk to someone that way. "No thanks, you're not even my type." I told him. "You heard that, Ayato? I think I am her type, I'll give you a great time little bitch." The fedora guy commented, I just wanted to get out of there and sleep already. "You two aren't making any sense at all, I'm leaving." I tell them and attempt to leave but to no avail.

The guy named Ayato grabbed me by the wrist and squeezed it, it hurt. He handed me a red solo cup with some drink in it, "We were just joking around, right Laito? Come on, have a drink before you go." He seemed sincere in his speech, I guess one drink might even ease my nerves a bit. I told myself I wouldn't party in college but in this circumstance I think I have no choice regardless. I drank from the cup, it tasted good, nice and sweet. "Woah look at her jugging that, that's kinda hot" Ayato commented. "Want more?" he asked. I don't know why but I agreed, I drank and drank so much everything started to get blurry, I don't even remember what happened next.

Ayato's POV:

This ballsy girl walked into our party room, and ended up bringing some new entertainment to this party, she got so drunk she didn't even pass out, she started stripping her clothes off and dirty dancing with me, she smelled like a virgin it would be cool to take her virginity while she's all wild like this, I was turned on by this tit-less girl, I started to feel up on her while we were dancing, less dancing and more groping at this point, her nipples being twisted in my fingers, while I took my other hand and slid them into her shorts, she was soaking. She leaves, and the partying continues you, its laughable if she really thought the party would be over cause she opened her legs for me.

The next morning there was a campus alert that someone hung themselves in their room. It was on my dorm floor, I went out to look just like everyone else and I could feel my stomach dropping, that girl from last night..Yui she's the victim..I threw up to this sight, everyone looked at me strangely. I ran back into my room. "Ayato, wasn't that little dead bitch with you last night?" Laito asked me, I turned to him and nodded, I felt like throwing up again. "Oh who cares, she's dead now, come on let's throw her a funeral party~! May she rest in peace the silly dead little bitch~" he chanted, and again the partying continued like nothing happened..I still remember those saddened eyes she had, I really must have been that good she had to kill herself after, she's dumb I would've given her more.

I don’t say anything to him. “Where are the women??!” Kanato yelled out, throwing his sword to the ground, it made an irritatingly loud sound. “They’re probably hiding in that temple over there” Laito stated, and pointed in finger to a large structure it was quite lovely, the art and the color, it was a sandy dune nothing like the churches that were built in Europe.

We all make our way to the temple, Laito was indeed correct, the women were there and they were in for a difficult time, but as I said before, this was the way of war. My brothers wasted no time and began to defile the women they found. Reiji had them strung up, naked and slice cuts all over them. Tell it to someone who cares, get out my way mortal” I reply back to her, she looks furious, I got a better look at her, she had silky slightly curled platinum hair and pink eyes, she was very pale for a desert person, she must be royalty..the princess Yui it had to be her.., always indoors she’s wealthy enough to be kept inside.
