Aziraphale comforting Crowley in his magic (?) prison in Heaven just before falling🖤

It can be used to dispose of annoying people: Perfect if you have younger siblings. Please, take note Mae, use that rope to restraint Celegorm and Caranthir forever.
this is for the lovely @playing-with-inks who requested maitmo teaching wee finno how to fly a star kite! i couldnt decide between your regular 5-pointed kite suggestion or the actual-shooting-star-kite caught with an enchanted rope made by feanor, so i went with both 🌟 (playing-with-inks has such a wonderful story where this is referenced on ao3, so i highly suggest you read it if you want some wholesome mae-finno content!!)
thank you for such a lovely prompt!! apologies it took so long, but this it was so so fun to do, and i hope it matches your expectations! 🥰 (and thanks for all the wholesome supportive messages along the way hehe)
bonus: the origin of the magic rope

Russo the color version of your art caffellatte100 published on Ao3, the one with Fingon and Maedhros in bed with the green background is strikingly beautiful. I just looked at it for hours, because green is my favorite color but also because it just hit me that I never saw your art and it's a shame that you don't have enough appreciation! ❤️
AW thanks! 😊
To be honest, green is my favourite colour too, so I can’t agree more ahah
You should definitely read her story, she’s incredibly good at writing and her story was so sweet and comforting! Also, she’s the one that finally convinced me to read The Silmarillion and for this I love/hate her because the book is good, but it’s the sadder thing I ever read!

can I use your Silm art as screensaver?🧙🏻♂️ the one Maedhros andFingon are walking on stars at night? I cried reading that story and your colors, style are just magical
Hello dear, except for reposts on Tumblr or other socials, of course, you can use my art as a screensaver! I’m happy you like my art and yes, the story is heartbreaking and it was as sad as beautiful 😭❣️

Jewellery design sounds so fascinating 😍 I would love to see some of your works! There's somewhere I can find them? I love your art!!❤️❤️
It’s more complicated than you may think and a lot related to chemistry but I loved it! I always loved to work with 3D software and jewellery design is utterly inspiring for that part. Yet, one of the best and relaxing moments was the conceptual/sketching part because, while it was slightly maddening to draw all those little patterns, at the same time it was so much fun!
This was one of the latest works I did for an Haute Couture Jewellery Brand!
I presume you can find more sketches and work on my Instagram page I made as a sort of “portfolio” even if I got bored after 2 weeks ahah

I guess Azur et Asmar is so incredibly special to me because I was raised in Europe but my father is a 4th gen Moroccan. As a child I was obsessed with fairytales, and lived halfway between Arabian Nights and the French compteurs like Madame D'Aulnoy. Seeing both parts of me, both cultures, both aesthetics, in the same movie, not having to choose, it made me cry, particularly the two fae each in their cultural attire but RELATED... and "the country beyond the sea, that smells of rose and mint
(2) under the sun..." Azur's connection to a country he's yet to see because of the descriptions of the woman who raised him remind me so vividly of sitting with my father with a glass of mint tea, and seeing his eyes go someplace far away, as he talked to me of the jasmine climbing the trellis, the roses, the pots of mint in the window, the desert sun, the bright colors and loud voices of the bazaar with its cones of spice, the loud song of the muezzin... excuse me I have to cry a bit 😭😭😭
I COULDN’T AGREE MORE!
My dad is Maroccan as well, (my whole family came from different cultures and they are all important to me) and, as I said a lot of times, Arabian/Tunisian/Maroccan aesthetic in south Italy, where I lived for a long time, is everywhere.
Azur et Asmar reminds me of those nights curled in bed with my dad telling me fairy tales from his childhood. It’s always heartwarming.
I’m not a fan of 3D movies and, since it’s old it isn’t great, but GOD the costumes are identic to an old fairytales book I had when I was a child. They are so pretty 😭 and I don’t let me start with the background because you know I have a special place in my heart for very intricate patterns.
But, I mean, there isn’t a single Michel Ocelot’s movie that I didn’t love

I LOVE BIENVENUE SUR LES CH'TIS AND AZUR ET ASMAR AND I'VE NEVER SEEN ANYONE MENTION THEM EVER!!!! I just got the whole scene with the furniture in my head, when they're talking about why the house is empty and the guy's accent makes "ils sont siennes" (they're theirs) sound like "ils sont chiennes" (they're dogs) 😂😂😂😂 did you know there's an Italian version?
Benvenue sur les Ch’tis is hilarious and I love hearing ch’ti dialect, it sounds so charming even if I can barely understand it (because, even if I speak french, it’s so harddddd)
My favorite part is this one:
Philippe : Bonsoir Biloute, HEIN ! Mi avec euch'l'équipe de l'poste, on voudrait...
Antoine : ...On voudro ! On voudro !
Philippe : On voudro, on voudro arcominder eul' même cose. Ch'il vous plait, HEIN !
Le serveur : Excusez moi je suis pas ch'timi, je suis de la région parisienne et j'ai rien compris!
I know there’s an Italian version and I saw it, but for some reasons I much prefer the french version over Benvenuti al Sud. To be claer, both films are great and I like Claudio Bisio as actor, but since I lived for a long time in south Italy it always rub me how southern people are portrait.
I know both films have been criticized for this, even if I understand that a comic movie need to exaggerate a bit. The films show how the preconceptions come from people who live outside these regions and that living there they understand that they were wrong. so i guess that's fine. it's not a movie I watch often, but it's certainly a movie that I enjoy watching when I need to laugh without thinking too much about it.
*hinale* AZUR ET ASMAR IS MARVELOUS
Still, I prefer Princes et Princesses because it's the oldest movie I remember watching and it's incredibly soothing to me.
(La Reine cruelle et le Montreur de Fabulo it’s the sweetest part and I love it with all my heart)

what was the operation in your hand for?
One day I was foolish enough to say, after I failed my math exam, “this day couldn't be worse” so of course, a car decided it was the right time to walk on me lol
Now, I don't personally believe in God, but I like to think that, if he/she/they exist, it's probably a funny guy.
I broke my leg, arm, shoulder and basically a good 30% of my body. I'm fully recovered and I can do everything, despite some problems and the need to check at least one hundred times before crossing the road.
Still I broke my left hand quite badly (I'm left-handed, of course, and with a lot of bad luck) and I had several operations to fix it, it's quite good now, I can write and draw again, it's just very shaky so I have different ways to improve my drawing and writing, like exercises and tools 👌

your silmarillion art is so beautiful! what tablet do you use?
Nowadays I’m simply using Autodesk Sketchbook on my Ipad. In the past, I used Wacom’s tablets and it was fantastic to work with them, especially the one with the screen.
Now I prefer to use the Ipad mostly because I can draw everywhere, so I can do something even during my lunch break, and Sketchbook have the Predictive Stroke Tool and it has been a blessing since I had several Operation on my hand and it’s still quite shaky!

I can see why people like them together, personally I don’t care a lot for romantic or slash relationships. I know I draw a lot of ineffable husbands, but I don’t usually seek stories or artwork about others? It’s probably because I’m lazy, I don’t have anything against Michael/Ligur, I’m just more interested in other aspects of the story.

I have a question that hopefully, you will be able to clean out for me: I was recently trying to write an Italian character that has many relationships (not all romantic!) and I know that Italians have different ways to say “I love you”. But since I don't speak Italian, I wanted to ask you: a parent would say “Ti Amo” to their child?
Technically, In Italian we have two different ways to say I love you:
Ti Amo: It’s (technically) romantic. It’s the big gesture and all, it’s said between lovers and we make sure to not say this too early in the relationship because it’s something that you would say to someone very special.
Ti voglio bene: means “I love you” but is shared between siblings, relatives and friends, (or lovers if they are early in the relationship, maybe). It means that you really care for this person, but not in a romantic way, even so, isn't less powerful as meaning and amount of love!
Some parents say Ti amo to their child and it’s ok, Ti amo means that they deeply care for them. If I have to be honest, I always feel like it’s weird when a parent says this to their children but it’s still ok.
For my part, I drop the “Ti amo” way too much, but it’s just how I am, a lot of us use the expression with sarcasm and irony, but who doesn't do that? Also, I always use nicknames like “sweetie, love, honey, sweetheart, dear” but It’s just because I have the soul of a grandmother as my friends say😂

You are so damn funny and talented, everyday I hope I will find a new artwork of yours and I always check the tags because they always kill me. How a person can have so many hand jokes is a wonder to me 😂
Maedhros, Illustrating a scheme to win the next battle: “Even if this could be highly dangerous, on the other hand... I don’t have other hands, so we will have to stick with this plan.”
Fingon: Laugh without shame
Fingolfin: Slightly worried, both about the plan and the mental state of his nephew
Manglor, worried as well, trying to restrain Caranthir: Don’t
Caranthir, that one boy who can’t keep his cool for two seconds straight and hate hand jokes: “This is the day I will kill my brother”

I have a question: I sent you an ask some time ago and you still didn't answer, are you having problems with your askbox or did I offend you?
Anon, I don’t know honestly. Since I started a new job I have less free time nowadays, so I have to admit I ignored a bit Tumblr.
Since in my ask box there aren’t questions that offended me I assure you, if I didn’t answer is all on me. I love to receive questions and answer them, so feel free to ask me whatever you want.
However, some other friends made me notice that I didn’t answer them as well, so it could be a problem with the ask box!
