since ghost and soap are rarely home in their flat, and people sometimes come and go in their long spans of time between leaves, they’ve both decided that it’d be funny if they gave different names to new neighbours whenever asked—and now, not even those who have been living in the building a while now know their real names.
and it’s not like giving away first names would be much of a safety concern. they just like being as confusing as possible if only to watch their neighbours theorize. it’s their own free entertainment, really.

I was making chitchat with the woman who works at the plant nursery and I mentioned that two baby trees I bought the other day aren't doing too well, their leaves are yellowing, maybe I'm watering them too much? what could be behind this phenomenon? and she looked like she was trying to find a gentle way to phrase it but then gave up and just said plainly, "Autumn."
another social interaction that will come back to haunt me at 3am five years from now

As he promised our dad take us to the garden, a last walk before to go to the bed. We first followed him without saying anything and out of nowhere he started talking making us jump a little.
"- what you have seen are the artefacts of the family since the beginning of the history. From war, handmade, gifts, treasure. Being Fates is not simple. We have the power to conquer the world but at the same time with the duty to made him stable and make the humans dream. Some of us took the right path and others... they'd prefer to follow their corrupted mind. Some of what you seen are fates imprisoned in artefact. Like that their power can be use but they are no longer the master of it. I didn't let you go there cause I know you'd be interested and curious about all of this, and I think it's time to let you try. You can go there many times as it please you but if something happened is your responsibility"
We all nodd and make it clear with our dad that we won't try anything bad with what he saw. He told us that he will try to put some etiquette to distinguish between the normal stuff and fates stuff. We were extremely happy and the walk in the labyrinth garden was peaceful and for the first in many years I saw our dad smiling sincerely...

Life :
do some fun drugs. read a fuckton of books. watch a fuckton of movies. get a magazine subscription. go to a bookstore. get laid. have a few orgasms. go to the club. buy a new pair of boots. go hiking. go to a movie theater. eat a pastry. have an iced coffee.
Simple actions for a perfect life....
