Gotta add a little of my two cents in here since I've been dealing with Chronic Pain for years now:

Take all of these with a full glass of water. It helps wash it through your system, not only getting it working faster, but making it easier on your organs.

DON'T take these on an empty stomach (especially the NSAIDS.) I cannot stress this enough!!! It is best if you eat food with these. I usually have a piece of bread when I'm taking mine and have a little something after just to be safe. It's easier on the stomach and trust me, you don't want to experience the conseqences of not taking it with food.

Despite what the table says, I've found that Aspirin actually helps me with my migraines. However, everyone's body is different and reacts differently to certain things, so just thought I should put out the opinion that Aspirin does work for some with migraines, especially the ocular ones.

And as always; monitor how much you take.

Also....this post is entirely correct: Don't wait until your pain becomes the absolute worst to take the painkiller. It won't work or be as effective as if you take it before it becomes agonizing. Trust me----I'm known to try and hold it off and it never turns out well as when I feel the pain coming on and decide to act right there before it flairs up more.

I think this is also another important thing: but don't mix alcohol and painkillers together. Please...just don't. It even says NOT to on the bottles (and yet I know many who continue to do this.) Read the label!

There’s no such thing as work-life balance for neurodivergent & chronically ill people.

This is because everything in my life requires work:

maintaining friendships

keeping up with my hygiene

managing bills

making money

remembering my basic needs

sleeping regularly

outputting creatively

All requires some aspect of work for me.

And when everything in your life requires work, your balance goes out the window.

If you're neurodivergent and overwhelmed — I see you.

If you're chronically ill and overwhelmed — I see you.

You're not dysfunctional.

You're not incapable.

You're doing your best.

I’ll forever be confused how we (the marauders fandom) looked at the whole cast of characters and concluded that the sarcastic ones were Remus and Regulus. I can’t recall Remus ever being sarcastic in canon, and the only words we get from Regulus are incredibly earnest and pompous and compared to Percy Weasley in tone.

While the characters who do engage in sarcasm—Sirius, Severus, and ‘cheeky’ Lily—are relegated to “too vapid to understand sarcasm", “pompous prat with no sense of humor” and “incredibly sweet until she’s not”.

Oh, how quickly the past is forgotten. 

They are part of the reason A03 is a thing now. Not the whole reason, but part of it. 

The Great Purges of 2002 and 2012 are when ff.net got a wild hair up their ass about THINK OF THE CHILDREN and nuked any fic posted on there that was explicit. Thousands upon thousands of nc-17 smutfics were lost.

It’s what led to the creation of alternate hosting sites for smutty fic…AdultFanfiction was the one I went to…but thousands of fics would never be recovered.

every single one of these people’s switch is seen as this astronomical good thing and treated with respect, while snape’s change is constantly CONSTANTLY dragged through the mud. but if you want to berate and belittle snape’s change for being selfish, you need to take off those hypocrisy glasses and do it for the MULTIPLE other characters who ALSO change sides for selfish reasons and not moral ones, thank u for coming to my ted talk

doing things for yourself is not selfish, especially when you’ve spent more time putting others before you only to be drained and unfulfilled. giving is good, but some people are only out there to take and refuse to give back. don’t let them take everything from you, and if they never return your kindness, consider lessening it. their true colors might be revealed once you treat them the way they treat you.

Didn’t see a problem with his friends performing Dark Magic on Mary MacDonald, compared it to the Marauders pranks

Dropped a tree branch on Petunia

Attacked Remus in PoA whilst he was trying to explain things and literally said the words ‘I’ll drag the werewolf. Perhaps the Dementors will have a kiss for him too’

Continued to refuse to listen to Sirius’s explanation even though he was being compliant and had only once tried to fight back, without magic, after Snape attacked Remus

After he found out he wasn’t actually going to get an Order of Merlin, or have the satisfaction of seeing two innocent men in jail, he exposed Remus as a werewolf

You do know Snape was indirectly responsible for Lily and James' deaths, right? He told Voldemort the prophecy and that's what made Voldemort target the Potters, it's canon. Keep stanning for his useless sack-of-shit ass, but people are never going to stop hating him for this truth and it says a lot about you when try to act as though this disgusting act of his was no big deal.

Not to mention Snape asked Voldemort not to kill Lily when he found out and immediately changed sides- did you forget that tid bit? Personally he didn’t give a fuck about James because, well, would you give a fuck about your bully who publicly humiliated you and never apologized for it? Even if he was “indirectly responsible,” as you so claim - that doesn’t change the fact he himself was devastated by it and risked his neck just to make sure Voldemort was defeated - even getting himself killed in the process.I don’t know, personally I think it says that I’m an open minded person. I can see Snape made a horrible mistake and he tried to fix it by being a double agent.My problem with you Snape haters is that you take every single little mistake he has made and crucify him for it. Really, you only have one reason to hate him, which is because he abused the students. You have no other reason to hate him, ESPECIALLY not when he was a student himself. I seriously don’t understand why most people and even Harry believe that Snape was brave.Snape behaved awfully not just to Harry but to all of his students , and I would truly admire him if his “love” for Lily was really shown , like protecting Harry since he was abandoned by Dumbledore to the Dursleys, or really having him protected or informed even upon Voldemort so Harry didn’t feel so alone on this matter, facing the greatest evil alone! Seriously why does everyone forgive Snape for his disgusting character just because at his death moment shared his love for Lily to her son? Why does that make him brave? Did he do anything to honor Lily who he so “much loved” ?? No! He was a cocky bastard and for me nothing justifies Albus Severus Potter’s name , named after the “bravest” Slytherin headmaster he knew. Just no. I thought J.K.R. Wrote Harry’s character in a way he is shown to us as a smart and brave and lovable and charismatic person but honestly , naming his son after Dumbledore and Snape was the stupidest thing he ever did.

forming a routine. getting more sleep. showering more often. eating more than one meal a day. finishing an assignment on time. allowing yourself to take breaks when you need them. drinking more water. going outside more. spending more time socializing. not going to events that are draining. cleaning the dishes before they pile up.

some things seem like little steps that we barely acknowledge, but every one of them is a part of progress.
