The other rested on his back. She shushed him soothingly, rocking gently back and forth until Wylan whimpered in pain, and then she stilled. “Sweet boy,” she said. “You’ve had a rough night.” Wylan nodded mutely. He felt the bed shift where Jesper sat down on the other side of Wylan and next to Aditi. He whispered. “Wy. Please, please go to the hospital.” He shook his head. “I can’t. He’ll find me.” Aditi’s voice didn’t waver. “Who’s gonna find you, dear?’ “He’s gonna kill me. I swear to god he’s gonna kill me-” “Shh. Your daddy’s after you?” He nodded. “Alright. You’ll be staying here then.” “Ma-” “I believe Wylan, Jesper. If he doesn't want to go, I'm not taking him.” “Ma,” he hissed, looking at her as though Wylan couldn't hear his concerns. “What's gonna happen? He can't fix himself.”

YES. Watching the whole game from Jean's POV was so interesting tbh because we had such a different view point with Neil. Everything had an entirely different tone. The foxes seemed different but we had context from the other books so we knew how they felt during the game and what they were doing. And Jean's reactions were a whole other thing.

But yeah, but Jean said Andrew tore out of the goal to get to Neil I fucking lost it.

i keep thinking about jean’s POV of riko going to hit neil.

in aftg, neil is so focused on riko coming down with his racket to hit him that it seems like andrew comes out of no where to save him but i love that jean sees it. and it’s not like he just moves out of goal or anything, no, he HAULS ASS to get to neil to save him. that to me says everything. i love them so bad

Matthias grunted, looking at the unconscious man across from them. “Eat.” “Don’t tell me what to do.” “Eat the food, Brekker. We don’t need any of us in poor health.” “I’ll eat,” he said thoughtfully, pulling the bowl closer to him. “But not because you told me to.” Matthias hummed, smiling, more to himself, than anything. “Right.” He looked at him, sipping from the bowl. Matthias had forgotten a spoon. Then again, civility wasn’t a high priority right now. “Jesper wouldn’t want you starved.” He hummed sarcastically, a subtle venom in his tone. “Oh, were you two close?” “Demjin, do not lash out at me. I am trying to help.” “You’re not.” “I don’t see you doing much more than sulking.” Kaz glared at him without turning his head, his eyes simply darting over with a narrowness to them. “I’m questioning this man for information about their operations.” “And yet you know only what Inej heard and shared.” “Watch yourself, Helvar.” “I am right.” He stood, the chair scraping, wood on wood. Kaz looked over to him. “You’re smart, and you’ve gotten us through worse with less.” He furrowed his brow. “Do not get distracted. Distraction is for when Jesper is back.” “I’m not distracted.” “Fear is a distractor,” he said. “It’s the thing that eats at you until there’s nothing left. Believe me, I do know. We were all children once,” he said, narrowing his eyes. “Even you. You kept your head when Inej was taken, what is it now?” “I don’t feel like being interrogated,” Kaz said, picking up his bowl again.

About the AO3 "No Guest Comments for a while" warning

If you're not following any of AO3's social media accounts you might be in the dark as to what kind of "spam comments" have engendered this banner at the top of the site:

These spam comments have been posted about a great deal on the AO3 subreddit for the past couple of days. Initially they comprised a bunch of guest (logged out users) bot comments that insulted authors by suggesting they were using AI and not writing their own fics. Some examples, from the subreddit:

But it then escalated to outright graphic porn images and gifs being posted in comments, again by logged out 'Guest' accounts. Obviously, I'm not going to give examples of those, but between these two bot infestations, AO3 has clearly decided to act and has temporarily closed the ability to post comments for users who are not logged in with an AO3 account.

Unfortunately, this means that genuine readers who don't have an AO3 account won't be able to leave comments on fics that they enjoy.

If you are a genuine reader who doesn't yet have an AO3 account, I strongly suggest getting yourself on the waiting list for one. More and more AO3 authors are now locking their fics down to registered users only - either due to these bot comments or concerns about AI scraping their work - which means you're probably missing out on a lot of great stuff.

Hopefully guest commenting will be enabled again at some point soon, but I suggest not waiting until then. Get yourself on that list.

Wait times are going to be longer than usual at the moment, due to the current Wattpad purge [info on Fanlore | Wattpad subreddit thread], but if you're in line, then your invite will come through eventually.
