“I’d offer you the Whyren’s,” Karrinnah said, passing him the mug. “But I’d like to fuck you.”
Luke nearly fumbled the drink, barely getting it safely onto the table, goggling at her.
“But you’re young,” she continued, settling into the lounger opposite him and crossing one leg over the other. “And I don’t want you to feel like I’m taking advantage.”
Please, Luke thought, an unbearable rush of desire and longing surging through him. Please do. She was the most beautiful thing he’d ever seen — and smart. There were secrets in her green eyes, and promises.
She was a woman, nothing like the girls around Anchorhead that he’d grown up with and the thought of her capable hands on his skin… well, he was sure she could teach him things even Fixer didn’t know anything about.
His gaze trailed over her curves. Even swathed in the loose, soft layers she wore to protect her fair skin from Tatooine’s harsh suns she was elegant. Enticing. She made him want to take his time. To unwrap her, one layer at a time, finding new ways to appreciate and pleasure her at each step.
“Will you teach me?” He asked, flushing a little at the hoarseness of his voice. “What you like?”

i've seen so many posts talking about percy adopting luke's role as chb's big brother. and while i do love the sentiment of percy being that safe space for all of those demigods, i think it would make an equal amount of sense for annabeth to also adopt that role. she's been at camp since she was seven years old, so not only does she have a deep understand of the chb community, but she can sympathize with all the youngers campers who are struggling to find a family within that community. furthermore, she is a resourceful two-time war veteran with more experience than almost every person in that camp combined. annabeth could also be the older and experience camper for all of the newcomers. period.

-the encounter of two kids-
Tumblr media
Just an imaginary scenario:
Young Yoru found Luke crying by himself and offered to become his "guardian human" to cheer him up. While Luke was embarassed since it was supposed to be the other way around (him being her guardian angel), he appreciated her kind words.
They later met again in the student exchange program at Devildom and while Yoru doesn't remember their past encounter, it's probably better that way since now Luke can properly act as a real guardian angel (not a crybaby!) to her! (o゜▽゜)o☆
(Yoru still treats Luke like a little brother though, she feels like a caring big sis to him XD)

I’m so excited for the new Percy Jackson series but also terrified because this is finally going to put it into perspective for me that these are CHILDREN. Some of them area few years older than me, my age, and some are even younger than I am and watching them fight (and spoiler if you haven’t read the books-Luke betraying them all) is going to be so awful. Especially seeing Annabeth, a twelve year old, being in charge of the Athena cabin is finally sounding crazy because I can see just how young she is.

There is cause for optimism when a rising star in country music sings about being a checkout girl while looking adoringly at the queer Black woman who wrote that song at the Grammys.

My sister and I just got done re - bingeing "Percy Jackson and The Olympians" so we could finally watch the last two episodes and OMG . . . . . . . . . . . . IT WAS SOOOO FREAKING GOOD!!!!!!!! WE LOVED IT. It's such a good show, there better be many more seasons to this show!!??!!! 🤞 I'll be pissed if it gets cancelled for some reason. I enjoyed the whole season a lot but episode 7 and 8 were my favorite.

Luke and Annabeth's relationship closely mirrors that of an elder-sibling, younger-sibling relationship in an abusive household. Idk but I've been thinking about this a lot, so I need to put it out there to get it off my mind.
Their relationship is one siblings share in an abusive household. Where the elder one tries their absolute hardest to make sure that their sibling doesn't have to see or bear the burden of their family. That their sibling doesn't have to shoulder the burden that their older brother or sister has been carrying from the get-go.
The elder one tries their absolute freaking hardest, gets up in the morning even though for them, mornings seem the bleakest and nights the most treacherous. But they get through the day to make sure their sibling is safe. They shoulder the taunts, and insults, and tirades of their parents, take care of their breakdowns, and steps in as their therapist, even though on the inside, they are just done.
They are done with this nonsense, of having to be the bigger one in every shitty argument, of getting up each day and trying to understand what kind of day its gonna be, and then accepting their defeat because in this situation, triumph is a long time coming. They are done with their parents treating them as a punching bag. They are done stepping in every time their younger sibling fucks up and they have to step in to bear the brunt of their parent's wrath. They are done.
And so they leave. They leave their house when they come of age, and they go far far away, even though it kills them to leave their younger sibling behind, even though they know its wrong to flee because if they don't, they wouldn't be able to stop themselves from jumping off of a roof the next time they're on one.
They leave.
Leaving their little siblings behind.
And the younger ones just can't fathom what's up with them. I mean, of course the know, they've seen their older brothers and sisters struggling. But they just can't get over the betrayal, and the hurt, and the fact that they're the ones left behind. They're the ones who'd have to shoulder the burden now. There would be no one for them to turn to, or cry to, or share a dark joke with at the expense of their shitty parents and there would be no one left who'd be there to love them.
And I think that captures Luke and Annabeth's relationship so perfectly.
That is their essence.
