Black fridays that last until sunday... everybody buying their Christmas presents and meals even though it's still one month until that day, but who cares. I treated myself with some socks, as tradition goes, socks for Christmas... A bookmark-calendar with Monet paintings (don't you just love Monet?) and Jane Austen, at home... Today, 26th of november it's Netherfield Park's ball day, go and dance with the Bingleys. . . Today my coffee.

For over 5 months I’ve been coming to this café for my coffee break. I am finishing this course tomorrow and if there’s one thing I will regret about it is not coming here on a daily basis anymore as I live in a different part of town. I’ve been reading and having my coffee with whatever niceties the staff would offer me... so, tomorrow is the last day and apart from the tip (which isn’t compulsory in my country, you should know) I will be leaving a little package of chocolates, for all the kindness they’ve shown me. I’ve read so many books with these women around

I take my friends’ and my booknfluencers’ (yea I just made up that word) recommendations very seriously. And when @luathebookworm tells you to read a particular book, you read it, and that’s that. The book I am currently reading is the Spanish edition of “Commonwealth” by Ann Patchett. I started it earlier this morning and despite it being 346 pages long something tells me that I will finish it before the end of the day. . Everytime I go on a day trip to another town is the same story; I promise myself that no matter how many bookshops I visit, I will only buy one book... but I always break promises. Here's the haul without 3 graphic novels and 2 mangas. I'm terrible at not buying books. Both "Olive Kitteridge" and "Brave New World" are in English. And with them is a copy of the Spanish paperback edition of "The Bookshop" by Penelope Fitzgerald. Have you read any of these? Care to share an opinion? thank you! . Cada vez que voy a pasar el día en otra ciudad sucede lo mismo: me prometo a mi misma que no voy a comprar más de un libro sin importar cuántas librerías visito... pero siempre rompo mis promesas. Este es el botín sin contar 3 novelas gráficas y 2 mangas. I have three posts coming up for the Christmas season and this is the first one. My Secret Santa of 2017 was Oly. The rules are simple, we have a small budget to buy (at least) one book and little details. I've known Oly since... forever and a day... although we've never met in person (2018 will be the year) and destiny made me her 'victim' again. She's so lovely and generous (see stories for the non bookish stuff). Happy Christmas Oly and everyone else!!!! . "I Coriander" was recommended to me by Laura and Magrat. This beautiful edition of Mme. Leprince de Beaumont's version of "Beauty and the Beast" was in my wishlist because I love that tale and I want to collect beautiful editions and retellings of it. Do you recommend any? . . Tengo tres publicaciones para estas Navidades y aquí está la primera. Mi mamá Noel invisible de 2017 es la niña @tdelibros (¡¡¡¡muchísimas gracias bruji!!!!). Las reglas son simples, tenemos un pequeño presupuesto para comprar (al menos) un libro y pequeños detalles. Conozco a Oly desde ... siempre... aunque nunca nos hemos visto en persona (2018 será el año) y el destino me convirtió en su "víctima" nuevamente.
