thinking about best friend!theo, who considers marriage a death sentence, losing his mind when he finds out your parents are going to force you to go on dates with potential marriage prospects when you return home. leading to him persuading you to let him steal you away to italy for the summer so he can keep you out of your their clutches and away from the boys on their list who he knows won’t treat you the way you deserve

he's trying to find a way out of the whole thing whilst also showing you around his home and maybe theo should have known it was dangerous to let you into this part of his life he's given no one else access to but god, you're his best friend, practically the other half of his soul, and he can't imagine letting anyone else have this piece of him

besides, it doesn't seem like such a bad idea, not at least until a few weeks pass and there's a new kind of bloom in chest when he looks at you that only grows the harder he tries to fight it and the answer to your problems suddenly lies in a proposal he's too afraid to offer

idk who needs to hear this but if you knit or crochet you do not need to stress about it all of the time. that defeats the purpose of having a hobby. yes sometimes i do projects that require learning new stitches and making several runs to the craft store and searching for a specific brand of yarn and counting stitches and recounting stitches. but i also have a blanket that i call my "idgaf blanket" and it's literally just a giant gloriously repetitive chain stitch blanket made of a conglomeration of whatever yarn i happen to have scraps of. my rules are no undoing for dropped stitches, no overthinking color patterns. for just this one project, i simply crochet it because i like the feeling of crocheting. sometimes i just need to work on my idgaf blanket and that's okay and when it's done i'm sure i'll appreciate it a lot more simply because it never gave me anxiety

why dead boy detectives should have an episode/season set in venice:

1) george rexstrew speaks italian and id love too see edwin speak italian to a client and charles lose his mind over it (+flirting with charles in italian PLEASE I'D DIE)

2) it's a city surrounded by water and would be an interesting confrontation of a certain characters's possible feelings toward water and water related trauma👀

3) it's a very catholic country and would be an interesting exploration of a certain character's possible feelings toward religion and identity 👀

4) it's an absolutely gorgeous city and idc that it likely wouldn't be filmed on location because it's so pretty

5) they can bring back the running joke of charles loving spaghetti, which will seem harmless but ultimately spiral into an arc going into his relationship with lowercase "d" death and how he wanted to grow up, but does his longing for life outweigh all the wonderful things (and people) his afterlife has brought him
