If you spend any time online, you probably have some idea that the digital ad industry is constantly collecting data about you, including a lot of personal information, and sorting you into specialized categories so you’re more likely to buy the things they advertise to you. But in a rare look at just how deep—and weird—the rabbit hole of targeted advertising gets, The Markup has analyzed a database of 650,000 of these audience segments, newly unearthed on the website of Microsoft’s ad platform Xandr. The trove of data indicates that advertisers could also target people based on sensitive information like being “heavy purchasers” of pregnancy test kits, having an interest in brain tumors, being prone to depression, visiting places of worship, or feeling “easily deflated” or that they “get a raw deal out of life.”

Many of the Xandr ad categories are more prosaic, classifying people as “Affluent Millennials,” for example, or as “Dunkin Donuts Visitors.” Industry critics have raised questions about the accuracy of this type of targeting. And the practice of slicing and dicing audiences for advertisers is an old one.

But the exposure of a collection of audience segments this size offers consumers an unusual look at how they and their families are packaged, described, and categorized by ad companies.

kiruru RSRM and ZKRM - their names were still corruptions of zekrom and reshiram like from pokemon but i totally forget what they were exactly

should i infodump with their normal names or keronian names. since im aiming at the frog followers i guess i might as well use the keronian names. however i am going to mention troll romance quadrants and not fucking elaborate iykyk.

also note that this all comes from when we were like 13

nijuju's bandaged arm is burned beyond repair due to makuku attacking him. why? because long before that nijuju had (accidentally? cant recall really.) gouged makuku's eye out, resulting in that gnarly scar on his face. in a more "hallmark movies but for trolls" world perhaps they would be kismeses. but no. they just hate eachother.

nijuju and nadede are moirails btw. they used to be a Moirallegiance-Or-Whatever-Its-Called Polycule but um. the other troll died. badly. don't remember what happened exactly but yeah they died badly

nadede and kigogo are boyfriends yayayaaay :3 the stories behind kigogo's scars are not nearly as dramatic. kigogo is simply a daredevil. he's also gay yippee

yea rezozo is floating! he can just do that he has weird powers just for fun. also his eyes are closed all the time and if they open he will enter a murderous rampage. the only known victim of this is his wife who he misses very much. Anyway he's really silly and moirails with makuku. also he was synthesized out of xellos and rezo from slayers (hence the keronian name i gave him) and my friend thinks thats kinda lame now but i respect him for it tbh

makuku also has magic powers they come from that amulet to the left of him. it has the blessing/curse of his ancestor (who killed people with a big sword for funsies)

viruru is very alphyscore. she created those two kiruru, who in the original lore are a blackblood and a whiteblood, which are not blood colors trolls are supposed to have so theyre Heavily Mutated. some real unethical stuff happening but it's ok its fine

Wait, actually. I got another OC semi-ramble to say. Aint bout Alec and Ray this time, but bout a non-human OC that is now bouncing around my head cuz of one of the snippets I wrote.

Can yall imagine how mind-breaking it is to actually have a character in a story that is self-aware and fully knows the fact that everything in their world is nothing more than a fabrication made by a human behind a screen typing everything out with a predetermined fate that they're powerless towards it?

Meet Alerik, Creator of All in my original and vast universe. He is... a mess to write for. Mind-breaking for me and him honestly, whenever I think of his self-awareness it's like I go on a philosophical journey and an existential crisis that neither of us is prepared for.

But can yall also imagine how lonely and heart-breaking it is to have that character, that instead of going through with the bad route of breaking free from it, continues to love and love and love and just continues to hope, making the best outta his own situation even if he's fully aware bout everything, so he comes off as carefree instead?

Master Xandred/Dokoku Chimatsuri

Last night, I drawn My version of Master Xandred ( or Dokoku Chimatsuri if you prefer Samurai Sentai Shinkenger over Power Rangers Samurai ) from Power Rangers Samurai.

I kept some designs from the original picture ( such as his head ) because he already looked demonic to begin with.

This drawing took me a few hours and this is actually the first drawing I did since I did some logos back on December 8th 2022, which will not be uploaded AT ALL due to the lame title that I came up with when I was 11 years old.
