i find it really kinda gratifying? nice? that s2 is so far leaning into the sort of childishness that edward often exhibits, like a lot of the meta i agreed with pre s2 was about his Hurt Inner Child and how a lot of his hurt is childish either in origin or in display (and often both) and i think so far s2 is validating all of that. i particularly like the recurring theme of the “eddie” nickname as a sort of signifier of childishness - “hornigold” calls him that sort of derisively the whole time they’re talking and izzy calls him that when he’s essentially telling him to grow up and take responsibility - and like i’ve said this before but ed is really like.. ugh he’s such a Pretend Play guy like i adore him, the way he gets into roleplay is so charming and sweet to me but it’s also very childish, like very Inner Child Moment.. i never ended up writing a real manifesto about DID ed but tjs ed&trauma post makes basically the same points anyway, and i just find it so lovely how they’re doing the sort of wide eyed naive trusting eddie moments with him, like in the tub scene where he cries about having no friends and in his mind palace where he gets so upset about hornigolds character being mean to his bc he’s breaking social norms and just being a general dick, like he expects sort of social fairness that doesn’t happen and gets really upset and takes it very personally when people are mean to him - happens in s1 with the party as well where he has sort of a naive understanding of social exchange where he REALLY wants to have mutually nice interactions with people and takes it really personally if the other person is a dick to the point of it like destroying his very image of himself. idk like the way they’re portraying his trauma as penetrating into or originating from really deep like all the way into his young childhood is so cool to me, he shows a lot of Ex Unsafe Child behaviors and like this is the 1700s but like. creative therapy where he would be allowed to express himself via acting out little scenes or dance or whatever would be soooo good for him i think he would be so happy.

that counts! more under the cut. i wanted to talk about all my mutuals

@its-clockwork-princess one of my best, oldest, and dearest friends. years and years of friendship, roleplay, fanfiction, writing. every time i see a duo on screen or in any media my first thought is always her and my second thought is always “us.” we went through a thousand different fandoms and i can’t remember our first but we definitely bonded heavily over fandoms like marvel, dc, and fnaf at the very early stages of our friendship. her dad was actually dating my mom for a long time, which gave us plenty of time together. literally cant even summarize everything we’ve gone through together, everything we’ve built, seriously been friends for a decade and i plan on staying that way for the rest of my life. i cant imagine my life without her, how bleak and colorless it would’ve been. i’m honored to know such a generous and kind person, and someone who helped shape me into who i am today. a love truly unconditional.

@ohgodmyeyes loved his takes on anakin, thought he was so real and so down to earth even though he could stand to be more egotistical considering how talented he is. i think about a certain post he made about anakin -> vader's dick literally once a day. i'm not even exaggerating at all when i say it was my roman empire. in just that small amount of time i was taught his quiet confidence, his exquisite way with words, and his unapologetic thought process. i maintain a distance from him because i'm playing the long game and from what i've seen on his personal posts i feel like he might be overwhelmed if i come on too strong, as i often do. but that doesn't stop me from grinning every time i see him in my notifs and i get to think, "this message was approved by ohgodmyeyes." very proudly.

@somuchfrstardust we talked in the comment section of anakin edits on tiktok i feel like and then i was like "hey wanna be friends" and we haven't talked in a while but that's totally cool, that's just how i am. i still consider them my friend i think they're a rly cool person.

@banakinbabygirl was one of the first anakin/hayden blogs i followed, i love how they write smut. it's a very emotional way of writing, very heavy on the descriptions and realistic reactions that drew me in and kept me there.

@starmanskywalker is one of my favorite writers in general. anything on her masterlist is an instant recommendation from me, instant like, instant reblog, instant indy review. i'm such a jealous person in general but the way i feel about alanis' writing is beyond jealousy. it's admiration, it's fondness, it's awe. i don’t feel envious i feel fulfilled. i was very proud to become her mutual, her friend, be on a first name basis with her, and write fanfiction with her. we have a collab we've been working on for a while but because we're both so busy and it's such a big project it takes a lot of time and a lot of love, but i'm still so excited for the day it's finished and can be published.

@xstarkillerx is so much more than a person i met on the internet. truly one of my best friends, and i can’t imagine not having him in my life. there’s so much i can say that i have actually already said on this blog before. donnie has a way with seeing the world i just love to hear about. i’ll ask his opinions and experiences on everything simply to hear what he, specifically, has to say about it. when we have conversations inhibitions are left at the door for the both of us instead of just me. i feel skinless, muscle-less, body-less with donnie. an entity obsessed with him on discord as we write novels to each other, sonnets about how we view the world and its fictions. donnie is my bread and butter, and i’m so glad i found him and stalked him and forced him to be my friend and now he’s reliant on me just like i want.

@weixuldo such a sweet person and very understanding of me and my boundaries. i first found wei’s blog through their fanart of darth vader which i loved so much i sent every single one of their posts to my best friend who i mentioned at the beginning of this post. i still go back to look at those works every so often to brush up on my love for them. such a talented artist i’m very happy i’m worthy of a follow back, and that we enjoy each other’s content.

@mcondance i met through hobie brown back in june 2022. i loved how they kept luring me to their page by mentioning me and my hobie works they kept reading, i swear they were using my vanity as bait and it worked. they are, genuinely, so fucking funny. i only have friends that are funny don’t get me wrong, but there’s something about jupie that when i’m talking about them to other people, that person is like “omg jupie is so funny.” like. jupie just transcends my sense of humor to other people’s. they’re funny to the masses. i’m very bad at texting, but jupie is a person i try to reach out to so they know i’m virtually loving on them. they like the attention. another writer i’m so pleased to be mutuals with when they’re so skilled at the part of writing i always feel like i’m most wooden at. the side of smut writing that takes feeling and sensation and even an edge of genuine horniness, jupie is so good at translating that onto a page.

@murdrdocs is another mutual i gained from the height of the hobie brown era and i believe i saw her content through jupie’s page. now we don’t get to talk too much but that doesn’t mean i don’t think she’s not a super cool person. i don’t read much, but the things i do get to read specifically on icarus’ page make me very proud to be her mutual. not only is she an accomplished and gorgeous writer, but her blog designs are always envy-inducing. she shifts her aesthetics so seamlessly—even tho i know how changing a theme can be draining and time-consuming—and it’s always easy on the eyes. her navigation is especially creative and i’ll never forget her newspaper clipping themed announcement for last kinktober.

@princessbrunette another writer i’m constantly in awe of. i met her through her anakin works, and invited myself onto her kinktober taglist when she was still a relatively new blog that’s how much i was instantly attracted to her work. her style is so distinct and so refined, i can overlook non canon work because hers is just that good. she’s also very funny, and has a gifted silver tongue. i’m always impressed with how she’s able to paint a picture in her pieces using nothing but the most concise and visualizing words. it’s not often that i watch something because a friend watched it, but i watched obx for her so i could still enjoy her work that’s how much i love it. our universes we create in our dms are so special to me.

@empiresheir was someone i met through their anakin one-shot about order 66 which i’ve reblogged several times and it’ll never be enough. it was such a good piece i gave live updates to my best friend who was reading it too. i sent those screenshots to her orc cos she deserved to know what i had to say. she was also an essential help when i was writing my kinktober project, kind enough to read my pieces and give me line by line feedback just like i like so i wouldn’t go crazy from lack of attention on pieces i couldn’t post til october. not only another talented and powerful writer (capable of dropping my jaw at how insanely good she is at wording things), but such a sweet person to talk to. and though she’s not active in the fandom anymore i think of her fondly and i hope she’s having such a good time with baldur’s gate.

@darthvvder had a collection of anakin drabbles that i found on wattpad of all places and i was amazed at what i read. thoroughly impressed by the physical reactions her works were eliciting in me. got me to care about smut tropes i hadn’t cared about before simply bcos she was so good at writing them. i posted about a line that gripped me and she commented that it was her, i followed and the rest is history.

@jarebare99 is my boyfriend :) he gets an honorary mention. i wrote him an entire book of poetry and my thoughts on him so he can read that if he’s feeling left out from everyone getting paragraphs. i met him in irl not through a fandom but idc.

@ddejavvu was someone i’d see in my notifications including my inbox every so often and she was very recognizable. i really can’t remember how us being mutuals happened? i’d like to say i somehow discovered she wrote and wrote well and once i began noticing i consistently liked her content then i followed and lo and behold she was following me too. mei is very respectful of my space and i like that she texts me without expecting an answer back bcos i like to read her updates and don’t always know what to say. i have some of her inbox messages i gatekeep and i go back and read them every so often and think about how diabolical it would be if i answered them and floored the world, but i have yet to be ready to share the genius.

@anakincentric technically through anakin. even though we don’t talk much bcos both of us have really similar no-contact ways that doesn’t mean i don’t think she’s real sweet. i like when she pops in, drops a banger, and then peaces out. like a disney cameo appearance.

@harrisonbrainrot i wanna say han/indiana. i feel like i was already following his blog because i got to read some of his stuff when i was in a han mood and was like, “yea, this guy gets it.” and then when we reconnected in the comments of someone else’s post, i told him i was a big fan which was true, and then wham bam thank you ma’am mutuals. i have no idea if he knew who i was before or if he was following me, but he’s cool asf. not only is he hot and chill, he’s also really kind with me about not texting. a very generous soul who let me use his crunchyroll to watch jjk out of the goodness of his heart, which i am kissing him for. one of the rare writer’s on here who’s unapologetic in the shit they say, which i always admire and prioritize in who i choose to follow. love his han characterization, so when he’s reblogged a han work of mine, i believe it’s been christened by the harrison ford pope.

@anitheus tagging this blog bcos it’s what i followed first but i also follow her other account @silxani because i love her art style. i love how she draws anakin every time. her spider-sam fanart, and her nsfw anakin works are my favorite, as well as the fanart she made of us for my birthday. gorgeous art style i could look at all day, and i like her personality when we text.

@ivysangel i wanna say it was dc comics but i can’t remember the character, might’ve been jason todd. she came for the dc, and stayed for the other stuff including my general tomfoolery. she flatters me with kind words about how i’ve influenced her, which always makes me soft. we have a lot in common, which is always so much fun to compare, and i love that she watched batman beyond when i recommended it even though i wasn’t expecting her to a) do it and b) love it. she’s aware and respectful of my boundaries when it comes to sharing my ideas which i appreciate, and i love seeing her in my inbox. we haven’t had enough time together for me to nail down everything i like about her, but i will.

@loveliestlovelygirl eloise caught me by surprise bcos it’s not often i get instantly hooked, or at least it hasn’t been that way for a while. i haven’t been in an anakin mood for a while, but i still reblog her works instantly so i can get to it later because i know i’ll like it even though i haven’t read it. idk much about her, but her theme makes me bonkers jealous. it’s so beautiful. like her chapter HTML for her fallen angel au makes me drool.

@psuedosis newest mutual. her reaction towards me made me instantly endeared, and i loved her jet works. some zuko pieces as well! hit at the right time bcos i just finished atla animated. very excited to get to know her more.

I've realized that I have not really introduced myself to you all so here I am! I'm a part of a lot of fandoms like Harry Potter, DC, Marvel, Teen Wolf, Percy Jackson, and Call of Duty.

I'm currently in college for film, I want to write scripts and direct movies. I'm a June baby and a Gemini (yes, I love astrology/zodiacs). I'm also very active in roleplaying and have a few OCs.

I promised myself I wouldn't get mired in the weird moral chaos that is bg3's fandom, but I have a legitimate question: for a lot of fans, is this the first time playing with Choose Your Own Adventure stories?

The writing seems to be classic CYOA in the epilogues, at least with the evil post-game companions I've experienced. If you roleplay someone happy with your choices, the game generally reflects that those choices were satisfying in the exact way you'd expect. If you roleplay someone who regrets your choices or has doubts, it usually reflects that you should regret those choices. Either way, the "reader" is given a predictable response in order to fulfill their desired narrative.

Don't believe me? Go through the epilogue and try to play a character who both likes and hates every companion or where they ended up. Some changes are subtle while others are more dramatic. A few quick examples, all from a single save: Playing a character who hates Halsin, though you romanced him, your conversation is short, civil only because Halsin is too mature to rise to your insults, and stilted. He's a distant companion that you've pushed away successfully.

Playing a character who loves Halsin and romanced him, the conversation between you is extraordinarily long and sweet, and you are written as dear to each other. It includes, potentially: sharing stories and teasing him about his more salacious ones, talking about his love of children (and them loving the bear), learning how he's settled into his new life, hearing about him finally finding happiness, being welcomed into his community, welcoming him to share in drinks, and even joyfully adopting an owlbear. This image is just the very beginning of it.

Playing a character who disapproves of Shar but encourages Shadowheart to follow Shar anyway, you get a zealot's lecture about how you're being naive, thinking that Shar's exploiting people, likely confirming your feeling that she's a lost-cause cultist now. The happiness in the conversation is one-sided (from Shadowheart).

Playing a character who is fine with Shar and encourages Shadowheart to follow Shar, you get a short, sincere thank you, and she immediately starts trying to bond with you. The tone of the conversation remains upbeat as she expresses how pleased she is with the church despite its difficulties and how she'd do everything again in a heartbeat.

Playing a character who doesn't like being an immortal consort, but ascended Astarion and agreed to it anyway, gives you an Anne Rice-like fight between bitter eternal lovers. You also get some petulant dragging of your friends.

Playing a character who loves being an immortal consort and ascended Astarion gets you the dark fantasy of all-powerful monsters in love, gleefully ruling and exploiting the world (along with your friends and probably each other) together.

These are all valid endings to the exact same story with very different implications for the future. It's easy to muddy the potential narratives if you try to hold all the unique, mutually exclusive dialog options together.

Remember, at the end of the day, this is written as a linear experience. Everyone's epilogue choices are self-contained in their own story, even if it's possible to reload and choose a different final page. Have fun fishing for unhappy endings if the drama gives the flavor you enjoy, or seek out happy endings if you want to feel fulfilled by your choices. Just know that not everyone will experience or want to experience the same ending for an otherwise identical set of choices in game. That's the cool part of getting to choose your own adventure.

AITA for snapping at my (18f) friend (19f) and then not talking to her again?

In middle school I met this girl who was in the same grade as me. We met because we were both friends with the same person, and slowly became friends as well. I wouldn't have called her my best friend though, she was just one of the people I hung out with at school (one of the few people, I struggled with having friends back then)

Flash forward to high school. The mutual friend moves away and just leaves us two. We're also in some of the same classes together, namely a digital media class we were in all four years of hs (we even sat beside each other all four years)

And well. her company was nice, but I wouldn't have called her a close friend. I never really told her many secrets, but I would be there for her in emotional support over her family being pretty shitty to her over and over again.

During our last two years, we both worked on the school yearbook (which was what you did in the last two years of that digital media class). I thought it was very enjoyable to work on it, and was extremely proud of the first one we produced, especially because the staff complimented it.

The second year (our senior year), however, was a little different. My friend started missing a lot of school because she was having stomach issues, and when she was at school she either spent more time roleplaying with her long-distance boyfriend (technically fiancé??? I didn't really understand their relationship, I was honestly very weary over it) over discord or half-assing the work she was supposed to be doing. In the end, she kinda stopped showing up to school, and I ended up taking over all the pages she meant to be doing, and changing the ones she did do because we changed up the scheming and her work was now very out of place.

Anyways, I'm wrapping up my senior year and the yearbook staff (which was me, two other students, my friend, and the digital media teacher) took a staff picture for the end of the yearbook. As usual, the friend isn't there. When we put the photo in and write down the yearbook credits, I ask my teacher if we should put the friend's name down since she was technically part of the group, and the teacher reveals to me that since she missed so many days she ended up being removed from the digital media class, which meant she wasn't on the yearbook staff anymore. I felt that was a bit of a rude move, but I also understood, so I left that decision alone.

Yearbooks then come out, and it took a while, but I guess my friend finally got her copy somehow, because she suddenly texts me in a fit of anger about not being in the yearbook staff section. She accuses me of not talking to my teacher about it (even tho I did) and going off on me about how I should have stuck up for her. She said a lot of other things too, but I long since deleted her contact, so I don't exactly remember.

What I do remember tho, was that I was pissed at her for making an assumption like that. I was also stressed as hell because at the time, my grandfather had just gotten diagnosed with lung cancer. The same cancer that killed my grandmother, his wife, when I was young. I remember that I replied to her telling that unlike her assumption, I tried to stick up for her, but I had to do what the teacher said. (She had been removed from the class anyways!) I also remember that I told her about my grandfather and being stressed about it, and that "now is not the time to do this". I wanted us to talk more about it later, after she calmed down and I got my head on straight.

It was the first time I snapped at her. She never replied to me. Eventually, I just decided to move on and deleted her contact. If she wants to get back in touch, she'll be able to. I know I probably should've checked in on her at some point, especially with her rocky home life, but I was honestly getting sick of her. Sure, we were there for each other emotionally, but I was starting to feel like all I was there for was to help her with her schoolwork and listen to her vent 24/7, which was slowly starting to make me more and more stressed.

It's been a little over a year since that happened, and I still hope she's doing alright and was able to move out at the very least. I was wondering if me snapping and choosing not to check in was an asshole move, considering the context.

GENERAL.

Extreme selective and private, as we rarely follow first.

Having a busy life and being easy to be exhausted, we often do not have the time and energy to socialize or write, so please be considerate of our pace.

Due to our age and blog's contents, we generally interact with those who are over 21 while rarely are we mutuals with those from 20 - 19. We do not engage in having romantic ships and writing sexual contents with those under 21.

Do not imitate and steal anything off of our blog.

If we’re not close, please like / reblog what we share on dash from any blogs but ours.

While we have animated and live action faceclaims for Astereus, they have endless verses and their versions. If there's any you'd like to explore, feel free to request, otherwise we will write them in your main verse, if not our own instead.

Most verses will have a storyline that corresponds to our series’ current canon arc.

We mirror-format our writing partners and match the point of view they write with.

This blog is a single driven story based roleplay, so new interactions are to be set in the blog's current canon arc unless plotted / tag-stated otherwise.

To avoid plagiarism, we do not share much details of our original work on here and instead in dms if close, but, essentially, it touches upon the existing generations of beings known as Antigods, having meta awareness as a knowledge that they are a character in a fictional universe, and most Antigods are known to protect the Mundane and Miraculous from malicious spiritual entities called the Metaeide that are created after their own fears and traumas and negative emotions.

Our original lore prominently explores the meta genre as they are intertwined with all of Astereus’ verses and their versions. They can not be reduced or removed for any reasons and under any circumstances. If you do not have the energy or interest to work your muse into our lore, then please refrain from following us.

DNI CRITERIA.

☇ We do not interact with those who writes or have interest in the following characters and medias ( includes having verses for these medias regardless of being anti respective creator ) with *exceptions to close friends or us following first, but not limited to : Billy Hargrove, Endeavour, Makima, Helmut Zemo, Homelander, Jason Carver, John Winchester, Kilgrave, Soldier Boy, Stormfront, Negan Smith, William Afton, whitewashed MCU characters, and those affiliated with Hydra and First Order; medias of 13 Reasons Why, Attack on Titan, *Creepypasta, *Five Nights At Freddy's, *Game of Thrones + House of the Dragon, Hazbin Hotel + Helluva Boss, Hetalia, Killing Stalking, *The Boys + Gen V, The Mandela Catalogue, The Wizarding World ( i.e. Harry Potter ), Saltburn, *Succession, *Until Dawn + The Quarry.

If you infantilize Astereus or send most prompts that involve your muse giving them aid or comfort, it's a hardblock. Even though they are childish at times, don't treat or view them as a child in dialogues or descriptions if we don't know each other well.

Please get our side of the story before ushering judgement if heard anything about us. We’re always open to provide explanations and discuss as mature adults. Any anonymous asks about any issues we may be involved in or other parties in any shape or form, even if said with good intentions, will be blocked.

BLOG SYSTEM.

We often clean our Tumblr and Discord lists to avoid overwhelming atmospheres.

Hardblocks is always done to show it is our doing instead of Tumblr’s unless stated a softblock spree is done. We hardblock mainly if we sense that another have strict interaction expectations that we feel we can not fulfill or we lose a connection with them; it is usually not anything personal or because we expect anything out of them. If softblocked, we’ll hardblock to avoid confusion if it's Tumblr's doing or otherwise.

We break ties if we see vague / psa posts that we feel are targeted towards us.

We do not enjoy ghost mutuals as we tend to feel that we’re being used as a number, so we’d appreciate that our posts can be liked / commented at times for our comfort.

We usually do not follow our mutuals’ non-main blogs to keep a small dash, but you’re welcome to follow if so wish, though we will softblock while keeping your main if falling inactive or no interactions are done there.

INTERACTIONS.

Platonic, familial, and other such dynamics are okay to plot and develop, but romantic dynamics must be slow burn as it is built with the closeness between muses and muns.

Astereus is polygamous as every interactions per muse is set in a single storyline, so the interested muse will learn about this fact before they enter a relationship together.

If your muse can detect presences in Astereus’ body via heightened / supernatural senses, ask us if they can be aware their body is inhabited by multiple individuals first. Those with telepathic abilities, do not read their mind without asking us for consent.

We’re not comfortable with exploring toxic romantic dynamics along with plots involving amnesia and cheating. We are extremely selective with muses who have history of stalking and / or manipulation due to personal experiences with these matters, but if we follow first, then know we feel comfortable to follow this muse while being aware of their nature.

We do not engage with angst focused plots and threads often. We will approach if anything becomes overwhelming, but keep this in mind when interacting with us.

While we will specify a Starwaker, you do not have to as we can decide who can correlate best with the context and character.

Interactions with children Starwakers are reserved with closest writing partners only. Unless we’ve done excessive plotting and you have our direct consent, do not request for any younger Starwakers under any circumstances or you will be hardblocked.

Astereus have the Awareness, a special ability of awareness in the future while they and everyone else they interact with are a character in a continuous storyline, essentially treating Astereus’ Awareness as themself being omniscient, so they will learn certain things about your muse over time, but we will never take advantages out of this fact. Astereus will only know the basic details of your muse unless given consent to have them learn in-depth details.

OOC IMPORTANCE

Having emotional detachment as a defence mechanism that was developed over time, it is difficult for us to create and maintain personal connections, hence, we may often have trouble initiating conversations and replying consistently, but we try our best as we do want to interact in some ways. We may also appear as fleeting with us frequently cleaning our following + friends list as our ongoing amnesia and emotional detachment are major influences, but anything we do to curate our space is never meant to be a personal malicious intent.

We have ongoing amnesia, meaning we forget newly gained events over time, so please gently remind us if we forget anything important, in or out of character related. We will find out if you lie to or manipulate us with our amnesia taken to your advantage. Don't try.

As the alters of the Starwake System and DID are often referenced in and out of character, we also have DID. We are highly passionate of OSDDID while we wish there are more characters with either conditions accurately portrayed to raise awareness and have systems, including us, feel seen and validated. We are always welcome to answer questions regarding OSDDID out of curiosity or for characters + writings related. Any hate on OSDDID or judgment towards our plurality will never be tolerated. We've received hate many times for this and none of it had affected us, so just leave us be.
