a funny thing about me is that i generally don't feel that drawn to a whole lot of f/f ships simply because i am mostly a gay man and mostly find myself resonating with m/m relationships in media as a result, but every once in a while i will laser focus on a f/f ship like crazy and go absolutely rabid over it in a way that's completely different from how i generally ship m/m content. anyway pearl and marina are the best splatoon idols and i would set fire to government buildings just to see art of them being affectionate. you cannot even imagine what i'd do to see them making out sloppy style

#before i got my wisdom teeth removed i told the dental surgeon i wanted to be put fully under #because i have Issues about teeth removal/destruction #and i didnt want to be awake and experience them doing it #and the dental surgeon dismissed my concerns and told me it wouldnt be necessary #and that some laughing gas would be more than enough. #i kinda just gave up and said okay and they put me partially under #and i kinda half-woke up in the middle of the procedure #and started screaming and yelling and swiping at them with my jaw being held open #(because i have TMJ issues and they were opening my mouth too wide and hurting my jaw real bad) #and the dentist turned to my mom who had watched him dissuade me from anesthesia #and asked her if they should just put me all the way under #and my mom just looked him dead in the eyes and said #'no. you're the one who told him not to use anesthesia. deal with your choices.' #which. was the biggest power move she could have pulled in that situation and i still think it's hilarious to this day #polls

sometimes i get really annoyed with cis comedians who make shitty trans jokes, not just because it's actively harmful, but also because all their jokes about trans people are exactly the same low-hanging-fruit-type of cheap, predictable jokes. it REALLY isn't that hard to make jokes and be humorous about the trans experience. i've seen TONS of jokes by other trans people (and made some myself) that capture the inherently humorous parts of the trans experience without actually being offensive or cruel to others. like these people make it clear they're not making trans jokes to find humor and joy in their lives, they're making trans "jokes" to further the stigmatization and abuse of trans people. but because they're doing so via comedy they try to escape accountability by couching it as "just a joke". like okay sure buddy, it's "just a joke" when you imply that trans people are deceitful liars trying to trick innocent unknowing cis people into sex, but the exact moment a black person makes a completely non-hostile joke about white people, you're crying and pissing and shitting yourself about it. "just a joke" shut the hell up and get real jokes.

#this post is very funny to me after living in texas for a bit (against my will) #like yeah the highway interchanges are a mess #but at least the signage is actually informative and there are dedicated u-turn lanes for highways and major streets #so even if it looks like a clusterfuck it's actually a bit easier to get where you're going #once you figure out how the signage directs you and which lanes to use #like seriously even on non highway roads there are signs a little ways before every intersection #that lets you know what the upcoming cross street is #so if you need to swap lanes to turn there you actually have a WARNING to do so #there weren't none of those heads-up signs in colorado or nebraska #now if only texas had a mountain range to the west so i could tell what direction north is 😔 #textposts

I really don’t know how to explain to you that activism, community outreach, meeting important goals in the realm of social justice, and just generally living life is much easier under the presidency of an average democrat than a republican who was so outspokenly racist, genocidal, inflammatory, misogynistic, and violent that he may have permanently skewed the american right to the furthest extreme possible. I don’t know how to explain to you that the candidate who was so extreme that he brought neo-nazis into the mainstream political landscape needs to be kept out of any political office at any cost. even if it means voting for a center-left democrat who won’t personally sign off on your glorious revolution.
