i really do have to emphasize that like. horny tumblr is a fucking horrible place to learn about kink. at least half the people here have never had sex (or done kink without sex) beyond sexting on omegle, and even the ones who do have any experience with sex and and kink and IRL kink spaces (including myself!) are mostly engaging in fantasy and theatre and performance. that's fine! that's fun! there's nothing wrong with that. but i do worry so much about all the 18 yr olds i see on here who've never had sex, many of whom have never been in a relationship, and who are building ideas about kink and sex and health based on the most deranged fantasy-of-the-sort-you-literally-cannot-do-safely-irl tumblr posts. i like how leverage throws in random details that are never elaborated on. hardison gets himself a front row seat at the oscars each year, but we only see that in a single throwaway flashback. parker broke a guy's fingers for touching her and it wasn't even a plot point, it was just one in a series of memories of stabbings and so forth. eliot continually knows extremely specific information which implies some extremely specific scenarios he's been in. the more we find out about sophie's backstory, the more questions it raises about what the hell is wrong with her. and the more we find out about nate's backstory, the more questions it raises about what the hell is wrong with him.

I've been seeing a lot of posts lately talking about how no one comments/reblogs/replies/etc anymore, and, as someone who comments regularly on a lot of fanworks, it sometimes makes me wonder if my efforts are worth anything. Then I remember how much happiness I get from comments on my own work/posts and how much the community of fandom can matter, and I remember the power that can be found in spreading joy instead of disappointment.

So -- to everyone who comments on fanfiction: thank you. You make the writing process worthwhile and so very rewarding. You make people happy every day.

To all the people who reblog art and gifsets and meta and anything else with enthusiastic tags: thank you. You make people smile and promote interesting conversations and make being on Tumblr so much more fun.

To anyone who sends people asks about their works, whether it's unprompted or part of an ask game: thank you. You give people reasons to talk about things they love and feel like a part of a community.

To the people who makes reclists: thank you. You give us more to read while showing the author how much their work is loved and appreciated, benefitting so many people.

looking for a fic where Sith!Anakin and Jedi!Anakin switch places

Hi! I'm looking for a fic I read in 2022 when I first started shipping Obikin (Thanks, Obi-Wan the series and my lifelong inability to resist angsty ship dynamics!). I read a few fics and enjoyed them but then didn't read anything further until months later. Anyway, I really loved this one and wanted to recommend this one to a friend recently but couldn't find it for the life of me. I'd really like to re-read it, too. So! Without further ado, here is what I remember:

There's a Sith version of Obi-Wan and Anakin who are already together romantically in an alternate universe

Jedi!Obi-Wan and Anakin are not together at the beginning

The fic opens with Jedi!Obi-Wan and Anakin going to some old ruins.

Jedi!Anakin finds some kind of wall with cryptic writing on it and puts his hand against it, and Sith!Anakin in the other universe does the same thing. This causes them to switch places.

Sith!Anakin automatically assumes that Jedi!Anakin and his master are also together, so he kisses Jedi!Obi-Wan.

Shenanigans happen (and by this, I mean there's an actual plot, of which I remember nothing, which lasts several chapters), and both our favorite Jedi realize they want to be together, too.

SPOILER In the end, there's a wall with the same kind of writing beneath the Jedi Temple, and the Anakins are somehow able to switch back into their rightful universes there. Jedi!Obi-Wan and Anakin kiss, and all is right in the Universe(s).

If anyone could tell me the title and author, I'd be forever grateful! Thank you.

I'm at season 3 of Star Wars rebels and the amount of people that have adopted Ezra is hilarious. Like Hera saw this boi and immediately asks Kanan to take him as his apprentice, Rex sees him and immediately decides that he is his little cadet and is responsible for his training and don't get me started on Maul, he sees Ezra for a few seconds and calls him "apprentice"
