Making a home 🖤

Summary: The Mandalorians are rebuilding their home world, and you and Din are an integral part of the efforts. Now it’s time to move your relationship to the next level

Warnings: AFAB and Female identifying reader. Mostly just fluff tho, nothing to crazy here.

A/N: So, this was a labor of love from my obsession with Sci-fi. Mostly the leadership structure and world building came from sources such as Ender’s Game and its subsequent sequels. I love the idea that when it comes to rebuilding something important, like creating a society. Leaders who aren’t afraid to throw themselves into every aspect of the process are the ones most likely to succeed, and I think that Din is the perfect choice for this. He’s seen Mandalorian society at its most vulnerable, and still upheld and believed in its creed, and now he’s the one who gets to put it back together. idk, I just think he’s neat. 🥺

Mando Masterlist

You were laying in the Mandalorian’s bunk next to Grogu. Was it weird that you were sleeping in his bunk? No. You were always in his space. You were in his opinion, an overly affectionate person. When you first started traveling with him, he noticed with your friends, you were constantly hugging, constantly holding hands, constantly fussing with clothing. It was just within your nature. You would fuss at the baby, stroking his petal ears, snuggling him close to you any time the option was available, fussing with his tan robe and making sure it wasn’t too long, resting your forehead against his while he babbled at you, staring into his big brown eyes. It was cute. You were also affectionate with the big scary Beskar covered heathen right from the beginning. You held his hand, arm, pinky, elbow, whatever, with no trace of fear or hesitation. You were constantly attached to him. At first, this made him very uncomfortable,then your relentless need for contact became a necessity. The calm your presence brought, the soft feel of your hand in his, the way you practically glued yourself to his hip when your arms weren’t free. In the days before Din got so used to you touching him constantly, you would lean against his side almost aggressively until one of his arms rested on your hip, or lower back, or around your shoulders. He didn’t get it, but who was he to complain. If in exchange for your cooperation, care, and that bright smile that lit up the darkest of rooms, you only asked for him to be near to you, why would he ever deny you? It’s the easiest trade he’s ever made if he’s entirely honest, he’s just glad that it was that simple.

Now though, he was asking a lot of you. He was Mand’alor. King of a desolate kingdom of warriors, that had finally gathered ability and the strength to rebuild, and they were a tough crowd. He was going to have to rebuild them, and he wasn’t so sure he was the best of choices to be the builder, but the has the dark saber he supposed, so it was him or death, and he didn’t plan on going anywhere.

He was currently working on the Mandalore restoration project with you, Boba Fett, Fennec Shand, Cara Dune, Paz Vizla, and Greef Karga. Their motto? ‘No Kriffing Civil Wars.’ At current, rebuilding meant taking his new found Clan, and traveling the planet settling different clans and establishments into their own homesteads. It meant building settlements, establishing governments, planting crops. With the now desert climate of the planet, a lot of this was centered around taking old settlements and making them habitable again, making the once grand domed cities habitable or at the very least finding creative ways to redistribute usable resources, water being the main problem. You were instrumental in this cause, you would scout resources, build homesteads, help negotiate treaties, plant crops, watch children, do whatever you could, and the people of this world were quickly starting to realize that their king found an excellent queen, even if she wasn’t a Mando herself. They respected their leaders to be certain, Din could be found just as easily establishing leadership with Paz and Boba, as he could be found keeping the peace with Fennec and Karga, as he could be found alongside the men and women who would inhabit these cities, building homes or repairing ships. You were just as willing to get down in the muck with them, you were most often found with Grogu strapped to your back, helping wherever needed. It was a deeply satisfying sight for Din, as much as it was a reassuring one for his people, and slowly but surely in your travels, his people fell in love with your willingness to embrace struggle.

What’s funny is, your touchy nature really did well with the often stuffy and formal Mandalorians as well. This race of live fast, die young, warriors had been forced into a more sedentary society since they had been scattered amongst the stars. All were invited, and in some places they were ridged, Beskar clad, societies like the children of the Watch, where there was no casual helmet removal. Others were of Bo Katan’s nature, removal not being seen as such a sin, the way of the Mandalorian practiced just as diligently, but without as much insistence on armory removal protocols. Din and his ramshackle group of world builders were learning that if this planet was to survive, these people survive, a more fluid look at the creed would need to be adopted. It was at your suggestion he took Boba Fett as a second in command. There was a man who kept the code, but was not your typical Mandalorian. He was casual with his armor and his assets, and with his years of leadership under his belt, he was well suited to the work, and it was apparent in his every move. This partnership seemed to work, people accepted that for their way of life to survive, the creed would need to be upheld in a way that suited the progress made in their society. As these cities and clans filled in the gaps of the planet, the true nature of what Mandalorian society had become, became clearer. There were younglings, and foundlings, and Mandalorians with Mandalorian spouses and non Mandalorian spouses, and Natural born mandalorians and mandalorians who had adopted the creed, and Din saw that your being a perceived outsider worked wonders in places such as these. You were courting a Mandalorian who strictly adhered to the code, and you were not a Mandalorian yourself. You spoke Mando’a, you were a buir, you were for all intents and purposes a follower of he creed, and surprisingly Mandalorians of all kinds took to you easily. He could often find you bumping shoulders with older Mandalorians, battle hardened warriors who weren’t the playful type, easily laughing with you about something or another, as often as he could find you with newer and more relaxed Mandalorians whose lives lived in hiding had made them a more accepting bunch. It stunned him that no matter who you were around, a gentle embrace, a pat on the shoulder, a hand shake, all your simple physical gestures resonated with people.

He suspected your easy acceptance mostly had to do with the way you treated the children. They adored you, constantly gathering around your feet and following you place to place. You always drew a crowd of the little ade, wether they wanted to play with Grogu, or wether they liked the way you so easily gathered them into your arms, he couldn’t say. However, if he were to guess, the way you so easily kissed wounds, wiped tears, gave hugs, gave snacks, acted as a natural magnet. You loved children as well as any Mandalorian did. You could be found with children more often than adults most days, multiple ad’ika dangling from your arms or clutching to your back. You would playfully groan and huff, carrying them along with you as you went about your buissness. You sang songs, played games, broke up scuffles. You would share your food, breaking off pieces for any small child who expressed interest. Just yesterday, you were eating some fried thing one of the people gave you, a little girl eyes it and you brake off a bit of it, blowing on it softly to ensure it wasn’t too hot and popped it into her mouth with a smile, feeding her as if she were your own. She squealed in delight, and Grogu huffed, indignant that his mother would share with another child. You rolled your eyes playfully, broke the food in two halves, and blew them carefully. Once cooled you handed one half to Grogu, still carefully strapped to your back, and gave the other to the girl. Then you sat and talked to them both until they were finished, you wiped both their mouths with your skirts. The girl rubbed her nose with yours, and then with Grogu, and gave you a sweet kiss on the cheek before running off with your son to play. It was precious. That was the day he connected the dots. People watched you more diligently when you were with the children, as if testing to see what you would do when presented with a random child, and you always passed. It was heartwarming, and your easy going nature always seemed to win them over.

In all this rebuilding, it was now coming upon time where Mandalore needed to reestablish itself as its own kingdom. It was time to present his clan as the new rulers of this planet. In essence, he was building a royal family, and to do this, it was pertinent that you become his wife. It was well past time now he supposed, the elders on every place they visited always asked him when he would “gotal’ur gar riddur.” Make you a wife. He knew you’d be willing, but what about this whole royalty thing? He had yet to ask wether it was something you wanted. You were clearly well suited to the task, but would you be willing to make that sacrifice? He knew this was coming, the moment he would have to ask you to jump off this cliff with him. It was a steep ask. So, what would your price be? Would it be peace? Space? Freedom? Would your price be to be free of him and his foundling? His son? Would your price for him being a leader, be your separation? Merciful heavens he hopes not. You were headed now to your new home, but if you were to ask it, once you arrived, you would leave in this little ship you’d diligently built into a home, and he would… rebuild. Maker he hopes you stay. He peeks into the bed, and sees you there with his ad, his son. His child you so diligently cared for as your own, even in sleep. You were doing it now, Grogu must have gotten cold, because there he was curled into your side, wrapped in your blanket as well as his own. You had pulled on one of Din’s shirts now as well, but he could see by the way you curled in on the little green bundle of energy, you were seeking the warmth the kid provided without much regard for your own comfort. He huffed a laugh, and pulled a spare blanket from your bunk. You probably forgot it was even there, it having been months since last you needed it, because now when you slept, you were usually tangled up in his blankets, sharing his warmth. He smiled under his helmet at this revelation, and turned back to his little aliit, his family. You breathed softly and one of your hands rested under the ad’ik, his cheek nestled into your palm, his tiny hands were fisted in your sleeve to keep you close as possible. He watched as the child nuzzled down further into you in sleep, his face a momentary grimace, until he scented your perfume and his worries melted. The baby huffed a sigh lightly, and his small snores resumed. How fond he was of you, how much he depended on your presence, kriff, they both do. Why must this be so difficult? It’s not as if he’s actually asking you to jump off a cliff, he was asking you to help run a planet… Nope, still nerve wracking.

“Din?” Kriff it all, he didn’t mean to wake you. You rubbed a hand over

Your tired eyes and squinted at him from the light outside the bunk that was still on.

“Sorry to wake you cyar’ika.” He sighed, pulling your blanket up around your neck. You caught his hand as he went to pull away and began to pull him into the bunk with you. He was thankful he had removed all but his helmet before coming to settle.

“No apologies nessecary my love, I was wondering when you’d come to bed.” You yawned, fondly stroking a finger over his knuckles while he reached to shut the lights off. Once off, he slips out of his shoes, then removed his helmet. The hiss of the seal being broken is always such a terrifying sound, he often found himself spooked even when nobody was around. It’s silly, he knows. Especially because you and the child are the only two people in the world who are technically allowed to look at him, or you will be once he asks you one terrifying question.

“Sorry cyar'ika, I’m here now.” He mutters, nuzzling into your chest with a grunt. You huff a laugh through your nose and smile. He feels the way you tangle your fingers in his hair, relishes in the soft and sweet contact. He turns his face into your palm and he feels how your curious fingers carefully mark out each of his features. He grins, he finds it funny how well your hands know what your eyes have never seen, he can’t wait for you to see him, he can’t wait to gaze into your eyes that always held so much love without the barrier of his visor in the way. To return that loving gaze with his own. He remembers the first time he officially removed his helmet in your presence. It was your birthday. The second one he’d spent with you, the first he’d spent courting you. He remembered tying a blindfold over your eyes and you giggling.

“What are you doing big guy? You gonna take off that helmet and kiss me?” He almost tripped over thin air, because yeah, that’s exactly what this was. You heard the hiss of his helmet seal and gasped, taking that perfect opportunity, he sealed his mouth to yours with ferocity. When you separated, he was amused by the way your hands flapped around excitedly before finally resting on his cheeks. Then the appendages fluttered about excitedly over his features before coming to rest again on his face. You sucked in a deep breath as if to calm yourself and he shook his head with a grin.

“What is it Cyar’ika?” He chuckled, twisting his head to kiss your fingertips.

“I’m just so excited.” You squealed quietly, then timidly your fingers began to dance over his features. Small delicate hands tracing the definition of his eyes, his nose. Giggling at the faint tickle of hair on his upper lip. Your hands were most fascinated by his mouth, your grin growing wider every time his kiss would catch your wrists, or palms, or fingers. “Best gift ever. Oh I can just tell you’re so handsome!” You sighed contentedly, finally letting his face rest in your palm while your other hand softly stroked his cheek. You could feel his muscles flex under your hands as he smiled. It was a perfect moment, now he’s hoping this one will be too.

“What are you thinking about my love?”’you sigh, turning to fully wrap your arms around his neck.

“Come with me a minute. Leave the kid, he’ll be fine.” You sighed and carefully detangled yourself from Grogu’s grasp, and rolled into Din’s awaiting arms. He’s already put his helmet back on, and you smile, bumping your head against his Beskar helmet with a smile as he lifts you out of the bunk. He tried to set you back down and you grumble, wrapping your legs tighter around his waist.

“No!” You whine, “The floors are too cold.” Din chuckled and shook his head, rewrapping his arms under your legs.

“All that farming, that peace keeping, and work, and you’re still a Princess.” He chuckles.

“I’m no princess.” You scoff, biting the patch of uncovered skin at his shoulder.

“No, I suppose not, but would you want to be a queen?” You tensed up in his arms, then grasping his shoulders, you dropped down to one foot, then the other. Then your piercing gaze met his, and he swore you could see straight through his armor to his very soul. It was uncanny.

“What are you saying metal man?” Your voice was barely a whisper, but it echoed in his helmet, startling around his ribs causing him to shiver.

“What I’m saying, is I want you to marry me.” He whispers back, wrapping his arms firmly around your waist. There was a long pause then, and it was as if all the time you spent together flashed be fore his eyes.

Memories of you, caring so fondly for his foundling, holding him like his mother used to hold him. Watching fondly as you held the little green child close to your chest with all the care in the world, he never asked you to love him so deeply, it just seemed to pour from your every action. There were memories of you working so diligently on whatever task you set your mind to, solving problems he didn’t even know he had without batting an eye. He pictures you under the dash on the Razor crest, stripping and reworking the controls to be smoother so landings wouldn’t be so bumpy. Reworking the lighting in the hull to be a bit brighter so he wasn’t constantly straining his eyes to see through his dark visor. Polishing his Beskar and tweaking his vambraces to make sure everything ran smoothly. Even more memories flood to mind. Memories of nights holding you as he woke from nightmares of home, of the terrible things he’d done, of loosing this little family he’d come to love so dearly. Memories of the day you met, two bounty hunters against AT-STs, you dropping the bounty on his son immediately when you saw he was just a tiny green boy. You so easily forwent your life, and fit yourself like a puzzle piece into his. All he had done since meeting you, was ask you to make sacrifices, you’d sacrificed your peace on Naboo, your lucrative career as a bounty hunter (very lucrative as you often remind him), your reputation with the guild. Effectively, you sacrificed your safety for his Foundling. You didn’t have to do it, but you did. If the positions were reversed would he have done the same? He didn’t know, but that’s why he needed you. Every time he thought to give up, there you were pushing him to be a better man. A better Mandalorian. Who better to be queen than you?

“Of course I’ll marry you.” He drops to his knees and clutches at your middle, burying his head in your stomach.

“Thank you cyar’ika.” He sighs and all the tension drips away from his body like the leftover pools of a bad dream. “Thank you.”

“Of course! We’ll do it as soon as we get-“ you stop at his giggle and you give one of your own as he stands and presses his helmet to your head. “What is it?”

“We can get married right now.” He chuckles.

“What!?” You gasp, pulling your head back with both hands pressed to the sides of his helmet.

“Yeah, right now. We’re Mandalorians remember? Gotta go fast or you might die.” he chuckles.

“Ok!” You’re positively giddy, “what do we do?” Your eyes look at him with all the love a gaze could hold and he’s so happy.

“Repeats after me.” Vows spoken in a blur, your cheeks hurt from smiling.

"Mhi solus tome, mhi solus dar'tome, mhi me'dinui an, mhi ba'juri verde."—translating as

"We are one when together, we are one when parted, we share all, we will raise warriors."

Once the Vows were spoken, you stood there, arm in arm, foreheads pressed together, basking in each others happiness.

“Really? That’s it?” You giggle excitedly, hands covering your mouth as if you’ve told him some sort of fantastic secret.

“Yeah! We’re as married as Mandalorians can get! Now that that’s done, here’s the best part.” You gasped as his hands swiftly removed his helmet, while yours flew to cover your eyes with a smack!

“Dank Farik Djarin, what are you-“ you started but he slowly pulled your hands from your eyes.

“Mesh’la were married, you can look now! It’s okay!” He chuckled and you opened your eyes.

“Oh Maker!” You sighed dreamily and he beamed. “Those big brown eyes, the hair, that smile? I’m literally the luckiest woman alive.” Then, you smashed your lips together unceremoniously. It was the best kiss of his life. You were even more beautiful without the barrier in the way, and now he could hold you, and kiss you, and be with you, no Beskar required. It was the happiest day of his life.

“Just wait till we tell the others.” You squealed and he laughed.

“Can’t wait Mesh’la , can’t wait till they find out you’re all mine.”

The next day his rag-tag group of advisors all gathered in the new capitol. They were all sitting around, drinking (those who removed their helmets or didn’t wear them that is) and telling stories.

“So I’ve decided that that grumpy little girl? Her face isn’t just like that. She’s a little Bantha that one.” You chuckled, telling them about a child you’d recently taken a liking to at the Covert. “This group of older kids who just got their helms right, they teased her that morning at Breakfast, and I told them to stop. They went swimming, and that little girl is as stubborn as a Mudhorn, and twice as crafty. While they were swimming, she and her little gang of kids not old enough to start training gathered all their helmets, and carried them off.” You chuckled and leaned further into the group, making sure that most of your body was still pressed against his. He loved when you were like this, so care free and happy, at peace with the little clan you had cobbled together. So comfortable with this little family you’d created. They all hang onto your every word, fondness was evident in their every feature. “I let them go to watch and see what happens, cause that little womp rat has spirit I tell yah! So, she takes all these helmets and plants flowers in every single one. Fills em up with dirt and plants, and leaves them all in a row outside the covert for the boys to find.” He laughs along with the rest at the tale, each of them surely thinking as he is, that perhaps his little family might have just found another addition in this little trouble maker. “So eventually, the older kids all get out and they go to find their shiny new helms all filled with dirt and flowers. So, someone naturally comes and gets Paz, and the Armorer and I. So we all stand there, trying not to laugh, and the armorer says; ‘What is the meaning of this, Twyla?’ And she just says; ‘Sorry ma’am, but I mistook these helmets for buckets, because who would ever give these empty headed Nerf Herders helmets anyway!’ Oh god, I thought I had busted a lung!” All around the room his little family spluttered and laughed and he’d never felt more content.

“Wow, I love that kid.” Bobba Fett chuckled. “So anything else new with you?” He asked casually, and you shot Din a side eyed glance. Welp, no time like the present.

“Nah, mostly just peace keeping and introductions.” He sighed, pulling you close. You nodded and curled into him, hiding your grin in his shoulder so as not to give it away. The others nodded and settled again, but before anyone moved on in the conversation, Din put his handto his Beskar covered chin, and snapped his fingers. “Oh, that’s a lie! There was something else about this trip, we got married!” There was a moment of silence about the room, and you couldn’t help but laugh, the look on all their faces was comical.

“No WAY!” Paz was the first to break and once the damn had broken, the joy in the room was palpable. There was celebrating to be done by all, and he was glad that it was you they were celebrating. You were officially his, and he wouldn’t trade you for the world.

Would you be willing to rank the konoha 12 from worst to best?

Actually yes I would LMAO!! I assume you mean like… my own personal favorites between the konoha 12, rather than something like which I think are the strongest.

I do wanna also state that I don’t hate or dislike any of the konoha 12, in fact I kinda like them all?? So please don’t think that I don’t like the lower rated characters. But if I have to rank them, from least favorite to most favorite… (list under the cut!)

12. Shino Aburame

(Sorry tumblr limits me to only 10 images so the lower ranked ones aren’t getting pics I’m sorry)

I… I just don’t really feel that attached to him?? I’m sorry 🫠 his insect and bug abilities can be pretty neat tho.

11. Kiba Inuzuka

It’s kinda a similar thing as Shino. Just not that attached to him as I am to other characters. He does have a dog though, which is almost always a positive point for me not gonna lie.

10. Ino Yamanaka

She also just doesn’t leave much of an impression on me in general. I’m kinda sad that her jutsu is just… kinda lacking?? BUT she seems like she’d be a good friend and fun to hang out with. Also she’s pretty.

9. Sasuke Uchiha

Fun fact when I first started watching Naruto he was my favorite during the land of waves arc! But then we saw Team Gai and the way I threw him to the side SO FAST 😭😂 I do still kinda think he’s a jerk for abandoning all the people who care about him for power. Is it because I take the Sasuke retrieval arc personally?? Maybe. BUT he was right about the konoha elders. In general I just find him very fun to bully. But I GUESS he’s strong and such…

8. Naruto Uzumaki

He’s the main character so I feel like he just gets points with us just being exposed to him the most in the series. I do find it kinda harder to like… I don’t know, be attached to him the farther in Shippuden we get. I guess it’s cuz of the constant power creep, but that’s more of a shonen issue than anything to me. Rewatching the series as an adult, his backstory definitely breaks my heart 🥺 poor kid just wants to be loved and doesn’t understand why the village hates him. It’s hard not to root for him honestly. I cried when he became hokage even though I wasn’t watching the series at the time I can’t lie.

7. Sakura Haruno

I used to not like her much, but that’s cuz Kishi can’t write women let’s be honest. I’ll always be super impressed with her growth as a ninja herself, particularly as a medical ninja. The Kazekage Rescue Arc really shows how amazing she can be and what she’s capable of. I loved her fight with Sasori. I also relate to her constantly wanting to catch up to her teammates and just feeling like dead weight. Girlie I love you and you deserve happiness 💖

6. Hinata Hyuga

SHE’S A SWEET GIRL SHE’S DOING HER BEST SHE’S TRYING TO FIND HER PLACE IN THE WORLD AND I!!! SUPPORT THIS GIRL!!! She’s also super cute with one of the best designs in the series. Her fighting Pain is so emotional like. She’s risking her life for the guy she loves and admires most in the world. I gotta give her props for that. She’s not the strongest obviously, but I do enjoy her character a lot.

5. Shikamaru Nara

My brother’s favorite, so I feel a lot of secondhand happiness about Shikamaru!! His shadow jutsu is… well, basic, but very versatile (I kinda wish ino’s jutsu got a similar treatment). His strategies make him a really fun character to watch from start to finish. His arc with Hidan was so cool. Very good character in my opinion.

4. Choji Akamichi

Ok so not gonna lie he’d probably rank lower on my list when I was younger, but again, rewatching as an adult I just love the guy!! He’s such a kind soul and works to protect his friends. His backstory also just kinda speaks to me as a kid who was often excluded from activities with my peers (sometimes also cuz of my size). I’m so glad he found shikamaru and is best friends with him. He deserves so much love. He’s a good lad!

3. Rock Lee

GODDDDDDD HIS CHARACTER IS SO GOOOOOOOOOODDDDD!!! I remember liking him even as a kid, but now that I’m older, it’s just amplified. To see someone with uh… no natural talent whatsoever get so far as a shinobi is just so satisfying to see, especially since I can relate nowadays. If anything, seeing him struggle and still fight for what he believes in has made a bigger impact on me now than when I was younger. I REALLY wish he had more fights though. Fights where he won mainly on his own. Also his fight with Gaara in the chunin exams is ICONIC YOU CANNOT CHANGE MY MIND THE WEIGHT SCENE CHANGED MY 9-YEAR-OLD BRAIN CHEMISTRY!!!

2. Tenten

I!!! LOVE!!! THIS!!!! GIRL!!!! AAAAAAAAA!!!!! There’s just something about how her strategy is to overwhelm her opponents with so many powerful ninja weapons that just… speaks to me. Her design is cute, I find her personality fun, and she’s my favorite female Naruto character. I wanna be her friend so bad. Also her journey in letting go of a childhood dream just… HMMMMM SPEAKS TO MEEEEEE as a very depressed adult. She makes me smile and laugh and cry and I just want her to know how amazing and special she is. She’s… a 10/10 😎

1. Neji Hyuga

WOOOW OMG WHAT A SHOCK RIGHT??? Man what can I say about Neji that I haven’t already. He just really awakened something in me way back in the day, and he still occupies my mind to this day. I think there’s just something about seeing a character suffering quietly for so long and taking it out on others (and himself) grow into a person who tries to better himself and look more so on the bright side of life, despite what life has thrown at him. (Again that’s kinda something that means more to me as an adult than when I was a kid) he deserves so much love and happiness and I am so proud of him Neji Hyuga I love you so much

I just want to say it's been delightful watching you get into One Piece. It's been one of my main fandoms for years, but most of the people I was following who posted about it moved on to other things and I didn't have the energy to try to find new ones, so my dash has been pretty empty of it and I mostly just kept up with the anime/manga and not much else. Your enthusiasm for it, and all the art you've been posting and reblogging, has been a highlight of my days. I have a One Piece fanfic I've been trying to finish for years, and I've felt more like writing it in the past week or so than I have in a very long time (haven't actually managed it yet, but maybe soon, I hope). I'm glad you're having fun, and I can't wait to see you get farther in the series. <3

Kinda refreshing to see a female character getting to finally make the same (if not even MORE) whacky faces like the boys do hhdfhgjkdf you’re doing great sweetieeeee 😂 (also good to see Hachi again!!)

Also the intro to Celestial Dragons and slave trade is so. Man. This is VILE. The extent of horrors the Government will look away from because they’re Celestial Dragons doing the horrors. AUGH. Gross. The situation is revealed in a really neat way too, very engaging. Sooooo satisfying watching Luffy full on punch one CD in the face tho, BLESS. Love that funky lil dude. He really doesn’t care who you are, he can and WILL punch you if friends are threatened.

ALSO I do see Ace’s execution being set up in the bg. I know in a general sense what….happens to him. I don’t like it, let him out 😭

Hmmmm. I can see why this show was popular, but I can also see why it faded out of people’s memories. It’s a 13 episode show from 2003, there not a lot to talk about.

The show is decent. You have to get over the black humor/racist jokes, lots of sex stuff, and random gore, but AFTER those, it’s pretty ok? I think the only people that had like, character development was Abe and maybe Joan?

Oh! Yeah yeah!! I’m sorry I didn’t mean to leave her out, I forget sometimes what I share here and what just me and Arin have talked about 😅 I’m glad you enjoy our aus though that means a lot 🥺💕

Guess should start really quick saying there’s 2 different sets of kids depending on the au. For MLUAU, since it’s linked universe inspired, Legend and Maggie have 5 kids (it’s kinda a neat way Arin thought of to translate that LU Legend has 5 adventures to his name ^^) So Glens the oldest (and his personality’s inspired by LTTP), then Aster to represent Oracle of Ages (he had a twin sister, Autumn, but they were both really sick when they were born and she didn’t make it), Ivy’s next and inspired by Links Awakening, then Sean is inspired by A Link Between Worlds and little Willow by Triforce Heroes ^^ I think I made a post about them all here ^^

For Legacy AU, which kind of just explores LoZ Hero of Legend’s life after his adventures, we gave Link and Maggie three kids: Gayle, Eileen and Lir!

But for Some stuff about Eileen!

I think I’ve said before she and Gayle are twins. Gayle’s a little bit quieter but Eileen is a spunky bundle of energy. Like to think her nickname from her dad would be “sprite.”

When Maggie was expecting the twins they moved and kicked *a lot* to the point it was pretty uncomfy, the only way she was able to get them to calm down a bit was singing to them (like to think it was a little family trick that lasted until Autumn’s time. His mama ended up using the same trick with him, magical kiddos are little bundles of energy akskd) In Eileen’s case I guess some things never change TvT

Her magic allows her to fly (she didn’t get her mamas wings though, none of the kids did.) She honestly has a hard time keeping her feet on the ground and would rather dart around every which way like a dragonfly and annoy her twin. She and Maggie both enjoy racing around in the air together.

She has a huge sweet tooth (another trait she shares with her mom lol) and likes cooking, although she leaves the kitchen an absolute disaster whenever she uses it. …her parents can’t complain though because they’re both pretty terrible at cooking (with legend a touch better than his wife ajsjdk)

She also loves animals of all kinds and does her best to nurse them back to health, it’s harder for her without healing magic of her own though (only Mom and Gayle have that gift,,, mamas away sometimes though and Gayle is squeamish and can’t access his magic when he’s too upset or stressed so,, yeah there’s been some hard situations.)

I like to think when she’s a bit older she was the one who first figured out and used the fairy spell from Adventures of Link. Then she would have her own little wings in her fairy form and her mama would be thrilled to get to share that part of her life with one of her kids. That would also mean getting to see why her mama adores flower naps so much. RIP tho fairy form makes Eileen even *harder* to keep track of than before akskdk.

Uh, also random but unique to her I guess, if she were to hurt her wings in fairy form and change back there would be some pretty bad phantom aches and pains.

She’s also pretty sensitive to the cold, all the kiddos are although nowhere near as much as their mom is. Winter kinda means family cuddle piles around dad, guys a living space heater.

Oh! She also ended up swiping her dads old green cap and wears it all the time ajsjdk

ya know. i think she’s lying to herself about how much she likes kids. i don’t think she’s inclined to them but playing babysitter all the time has made her p child adverse. however admitting this means realizing she can’t gain “i am a normal respectable non-offending person who no one has any reason to have any issue with” points by raising 2.5 kids. so. yeah she just chooses to keep lying to herself

- How i feel about their canonical writing/handling

tbh i think i do a bad job portraying her comphet? buuut. to take a step back and think neutrally about things, i think that’s predominantly a result of, again, the role she plays in the story, and the fact we’re not in her head. we can judge how well i write her comphet when we get to pick her brain a bit more in ftes. id rather have a more subtle, more accurate depiction, then one that’s made inaccurate with how in your face “wow my bestie is so pretty if only girls who liked girls were real…” it is. (<- not that portrayals like that are bad/wrong, it’s abt enjoying yourself while not feeding into negative stereotypes! i just don’t really want to depict her comphet in that more lighthearted manner).

- The one thing i’d want to make canon about them

again. this is prolly just gonna be stuff which didn’t happen in canon but could’ve if things were different? w/mekaru i think if she studied psychology more and like. Dedicated herself to it she could easily rise to shsl psychiatrist level. this is canon but i think that she’s specifically interested in medicine when it comes to treatment of the human condition. she likes and grasps it all, but the history of assorted pills is where she Shines

(obligatory: okada aimi is mekarus bestie! she’ssss. sapphic, i don’t have anything more specific/anything otherwise canon for her. she likes mekaru and thinks mekaru likes her back (she’s right), buuut. she hasn’t confessed because she thinks she’ll be rejected (she’s right, again.) she’s trying to gently tug mekaru into having a Revelation but it hasn’t been going v well for her.

Okay so what happen was, one day there was a tv crew outside my high school and school just ended. So while I was waiting to go home, the crew was interviewing students. And they came to me and asked if they could interview me. I for some reason couldnt decline them. They just told me to talk about my idol. I looked at my friend and asked her "Who should I talk about?" "Batman, you wont shut up about him" (She was right 😐)

...So yeah, I just talked about why Batman was my idol in my school uniform VERY seriously in the national language. Cause the tv crew was actually from a non-English news station. Lo and behold, some time later my friend sent a link to the new program where my part was showcased. So in the entire news section, there was just kids talking about their parents and how hardworking they were, I was the only 16/17 talking about Batman and how he fights crime 😭 but without context it looks like I'm talking about the cure of cancer or some shit, I dont know why I was so damn serious 💀 I'm not sure what the program was even about lol. So yeah, the news got pretty famous in school cause only around 2/3 people from my school was showcased and I was called Batman for some time after that 😂 Sometimes random people would just yell Batman at me and I have no clue who they are lmao 💀 I had a taste of fame and I'm still chasing that high 😅 it was fun times for sure

Also pls call me by my nicknames, dear author. You have permission, I kinda miss hearing my nickname, I dont hear it as often now. It's also cool how you had like a batman-themed bedroom 😂 I wish I could have something like that but DC stuff would always be expensive in my place. I’d be a deer in the headlights. I’m an introvert.😅. This is the first time I have interacted with people differently.

But to be in the news would be awesome and your friend deserves a reward. She waited until she saw it one day and said, “V would love to see this.” Haha, I would do the same thing in her shoes. But wow her just saying you should. Oh lord, I would have done it too. Just became a robot. Then afterward like I said that why did I say that. But that's me. I don't like speaking much as my voice is naturally lower. So when I speak louder it's like I'm screaming and that hurts my ears.

I will say DC stuff was always expensive for me too. I did more of save the birthday money and Christmas money and was like I want this. But yeah the Batman theme was great. I always kept a darker theme in my bedroom. And clothes. So maybe that's just me.

Now V you do know that you can dress up now. In the safety of your own home. I have stuff that not even my very very close friends know about. 😁( besides there are other holidays to dress up even if it’s for yourself.)

But I bet you’ll look good in a cowboy hat and a cape. Interesting choice. I’m interested in what you would do. 👀

Now the pillow sewed is adorable that’s something that can be treasured for life. And I’ll encourage you to make your apartment a Batcave theme. That looks awesome. We need to fix this only Batman thing. There must be a way for more Batman stuff V. You can do it. (Unless you are in school or saving money don’t do it. I understand as I’m a student as well.) But birthdays are a day to spoil yourself.

I'm happy you liked the Fluff. Vanessa is different from my other ROs as her personality changes depending on when or how I write her. Like when I first wrote scenes of her after Aspen's death the “Wonderful” Mother showed up. Vanessa was harsh and in a way, I had never seen her as. Well in a way I’ve written her as cold and not feeling anything and that Vanessa. She scared me. Seeing her thoughts in that way was hard.

Now Vanessa would love all the hugs and kisses in the world. Especially with the hell, she’s been through. (All the characters have pain and it’s not on purpose. I let them write themselves at specific times. 🤔 it’s hard to describe.)

Vanessa is in some ways a kid still. Vanessa needed to grow up to survive but she has moments when she’s a little girl again and can be free. After all with her lifespan just barely a dent in it, she has time for it.

Yes, Gracie is very adorable. Her ear was not always like that. I got her before I graduated high school. (You might be older than me. 😅 most of you are so hello 👋.) When my mom brought her home it was more of you always wanted a dog so I got one now that you're older. And Gracie's tail did not go up for 🤔 I think two months. I was staring at her one day and poked near her paw. And then we started playing and it started to wag so fast I was laughing and just happy. I didn’t feel like that in years of the shit I went through with people. Then I think roughly a year later her ear was up. Funny enough it was both but over time it was just one. And it’s up all the time. But If a strange noise or if a dog barks far away both will shoot up, to me she looks like bar ears. Haha yes, I did a comparison to a bat. Gracie loves pets not hugs as much she’ll let you but then will pull away. But if you did meet her she’s more of a pet my butt. Yes, Gracie will turn and shove her butt on you.😆😆 I remember when this girl was talking to me. Gracie pranced and did a surprise butt shove to her.

I don’t mind sharing another. I’ll get a more updated one as my phone likes to make pictures disappear. And the travel has been great V. I drove at night while my mom drive during the day. So school work online and writing for me. Might try drawing again if I don’t hate it. Can do buildings but people not so much.

i know! ;w; it’s just that shay’s my only oc that directly affects canon and i have so many ideas for her so i really wanna finish her canon story if that makes sense.

the majority of my ‘problem’ (and i hesitate to use that word) is that she’s not a main character, she never has been — she’s in my favorite group of side characters that suffer from a ‘villain of the week’ formula, so it’s just a bit tricky to find a spot to squeeze her in, y’know? i have literally SO many ideas i haven’t mentioned (and i know i tend to complain that i don’t have any) which i think are really neat, it’s just a matter of figuring out how to throw everything together qwq”

i totally agree with ocs just being for fun tho! they don’t need to serve a purpose. i have a couple that don’t do much and i still love them, even if i don’t really talk about them very much on tumblr.

i'm gonna need more antagonistic dynamics too tbh.... she is absolutely going to be as polite and nice as she is to any other person because c'mon... it's Hakuno. but! i feel like there's a biiig sense of distance that comes with having this sort of dynamic with her. as we have seen in canon for example, hakuno's really frikkin aware of their status as enemies with other character- she's always saying stuff like "even though we're enemies?" and not understanding why'd be nice to her when she's their enemy... stuff like that!! i mean, enemies to friends or enemies to lovers is def not out of the question ((ФωФ)✨️ ...) but it'd be so fun to see the development!! which i guess is the appeal of those dynamics in da first place !

i love character development ofc but i have always been thinking about- how about reverse character development ?! 😳 hakuno is a suuper interesting character to me because- well, it's like a white sheet of paper! it's blank! i feel like there are soo many directions her character could go and i think it'd be so fun to explore! characters who bring out the worst in each other maybe?? enable each others' bad habits?? and oh boy it'd hurt so much on hakuno's part because she wants to be better and is always wanting the best for others so like (: IT COULD BE FUN METHINKS..!

letter writing threads!! i feel like you can tell a lot about a muse by the kind of letter they write 👁👁✨️ having hakuno write down her thoughts and feelings into paper just sounds super interesting to okok- i'd imagine her letters sounding more like very formal reports tbh 💀 but i think it could be so fun and a really neat way to really get the Insight(TM) on da muse!

speaking of the letter writing tho- something related to arts and humanities! drawing? music? writing? sculpting? dance? anything and everything creative pls. hakuno's way of thinking is very logical so i think she struggles with understanding things that don't really have a solid factual answer, but that's also what makes it so interesting! art can really touch people's hearts too and that's the kind of thing hakuno needs desperately 🥹 even if she can't fully understand it right now ! your muse showing hakuno their creations maybe?? bonus points if their works say a lot about them as a person or means a lot of them!

i'm a sucker for childhood friends so i want that for hakuno too 🤧✨️ !! it doesn't have to be friends in specific tho- i just think there's something special about knowing someone when they were younger :thonk: kids tend to be more honest i guess? and i mean hakuno still is, but for better or worse, the hakuno we now know keeps the "bad" parts of herself hidden away while actively trying to be the person other people need – a younger hakuno wouldn't have that mindset yet methinks! BUT YEA BACK TO WHAT I WAS SAYING 😳😳 it's fun to see how that could affect the dynamic especially when they meet later on!

5. What do they dislike about each other?

Rin can’t stand Dabi’s lack of self care. When he comes back with worse burns or she can smell excessive smoke on him, she gets furious but never admits it’s her affection that gets her annoyed. She covers it up by saying he’s bleeding on her belongings when really she just doesn’t want him to bleed at all

Dabi can’t stand her arrogance some times. He believes in her abilities and that if she sets her mind to it, she’ll accomplish it - but even to him she gets a little over her head and doesn’t like that she uses him to clean up messes she makes (but on the flip side, she always calls on him as backup/clean up because she knows she can rely on him and sees him as a powerful ally)

13. What is their favourite kind of kiss?

A dominating one on the lips. One where either of them has power/control over the other, but even if Dabi instigates these kind of kisses, Rin always ends up on top *wink wink*

20. Who is the most clingy?

Neither of them are necessarily clingy. Both need each other for different reasons but they don’t openly cling to one another. Rin is more obviously affectionate from time to time in a sense that she acts more ‘girlfriend like’ just to annoy him, where as usually both of them will be somewhat discreet whenever they’re doing something ‘nice’ for the other

(cheeky extra: they never fall asleep cuddling - mostly cus Rin doesn’t sleep - but during the night Dabi always ends up reaching for her and cuddling a part of her while he sleeps. Even if she’s wide awake, she just accepts it because it’s one of the only ‘pure’ things he does)

23. Why did they choose each other?

At first it was a matter of convenience, now it’s more of an actual attraction to one another. They met on a rooftop one night when Rin was about to complete a drug deal (she being the dealer) but ran into Dabi who just decided to chill on that particular roof that night - they had a bit of small talk after neither was intimidated by the other and after a little while she found where he was and got in contact to ask for a favour essentially. She promised him some funds and a phone etc if he’d kill some people/burn down some buildings for her but they ended up becoming ‘friends’ for what it’s worth and constantly called on one another for whatever reason they needed them for.

Dabi was a useful asset in Rin’s arsenal so she didn’t wanna lose that connection, and Rin was a bit of a laugh who was up for anything in Dabi’s eyes basically - so after a couple years she made the first move and they’ve been ‘friends with benefits’/together ever since! Tho either doesn’t seek romance anywhere else so they’re basically exclusive and most people assume that, they just never said it outloud

39. Who does the most mundane household tasks?

Neither of them really, neither have a ‘home’ essentially so they don’t have the pressure of household chores. HOWEVER, Rin grew up in a ‘perfectionist’ household where she was always to be tidy and sophisticated and perfect basically so she resents being overly neat in anything she wears/does - but a little part of that has stuck with her even now so she likes to keep her personal hygiene up at the very least - clean hair/skin/nails etc, clean clothes when she can. Dabi just doesn’t give a fuck and bleeds on her stuff all the time and like I said: she’ll get mad as if she’s annoyed about the blood but actually she just doesn’t want him hurting but she’d NEVER EVER tell him that

44. What would a stranger think if they saw them out together?

When they’re in public they are always wearing face coverings (sunglasses, masks etc) or hats/hoodies to hide their appearance so most people would see them and think ‘they’re a bit mysterious’ or ‘I probably shouldn’t fuck with them’. The general public annoy the shit out of both of them so they avoid it at all costs if they can - especially after joining the league and being hunted by the heroes commission - but they give off major ‘wild animal’ vibes and shouldn’t be messed with. If either are feeling overly protective that day they’ll put an arm around the other and walk super close, but most of the time it’s just side by side so they’re seen as ‘together’ or Dabi slightly behind Rin in a bodyguard kinda sense while she leads the way. To put it simply, they try real hard to not be noticeable, so if they were to be seen or noticed, they’ve give off those vibes - but most of the time they’re under the radar
