Here's a small snippet from my Butch4Butch Codywan AU that I'm doing for @codywanfirstkissbingo

“Why don’t you just ask her out?” Cody swears, hammer just barely dodging her thumb. Her eye twitches as she stares at the hammer, before taking a deep, even breath and forcing herself to loosen her tight grip— if she bludgeons her sister to death, she’d have to hire out for help running the front desk, and it’s not worth the hassle. “Rex.” “Cody,” she parrots, annoying in a way that's solely reserved for little siblings. “I’m serious. Just ask her out. What’ve you got to lose?” Cody closes her eyes, and sighs. The fact that she’s receiving dating advice from Rex of all people, means she’s truly sunk to a new low.

omg this is one of my favorites and most thought-out aus, so uhh I could talk forever :)

Cody's mom and Jango divorce when she's only one and split custody pretty evenly at first. After her mom moves for work, she decides she wants to stay with Jango primarily (because of her sisters) and stays with her mom weekends, breaks, etc.

She also hero-worshiped her dad a bit since she was the favorite until Boba was born.

Cody's surname was Marshall-Fett but she dropped the Fett when she turned 18 and could do so legally. Marshall is her mom's surname.

She planned to go to college (and get away from her dad) but couldn't in the end because the gym hit some hard times and Jango was a mess, so she stepped up to take care of her siblings and the family business.

Originally, her dream was to compete internationally and get to the Olympics for boxing, but she didn't have the resources (money or time). Now she wants to coach Rex to make it.

She had a real rebellious streak and did some stupid shit when she was a teenager. Not that she'll talk about it because she's a Good Example for her siblings and she will keep them out of trouble no matter what she has to do.

She loves dogs and cats equally. Someday, she might like a dog as a running buddy. Something decently big and fast.

She lives for gym wear. It's hard to get her in anything else. And if you do, it's still probably oversized or spandex.

Cody doesn't like being boxed in with expectations and she likes what she likes. People don't expect her to be feminine, but she loves pedicures and fancy baths and "girly" stuff too.

She has a bunch of piercings in her ears but they've all pretty much closed up because she would take them out for boxing and eventually forget to put them back in.

In high school, she played field hockey (like every good queer girl does) and was the most loathed person in model UN because she was stubborn and unyielding.

She was not looking for a relationship when she met Obi-Wan. As angry and sad (and abandonment issue-y) as she was when Obi-Wan ghosted her, she was a tiny, tiny bit relieved. (If it was anyone other than Obi-Wan, she wouldn't have given them a second chance.)

Cody was really jealous of and mad at Boba for years because of her messed up relationship with her dad, but eventually she grew up and got over it. She relates the most to him now because he gets the same conditional love she used to get and she's trying her best to protect Boba from all the bullshit.

when I say I love codywan I don't mean it in a casual and totally sane way but in a I had a post-war/no-order 66 codywan fic idea over two years ago that addresses the aftermath of war and living with disabilities and finding peace within yourself during peace time and accepting that your worst is still good enough, and I did a year of research before i ever actually started writing it and now it has a bunch of oc's and Ahsoka has a wlw love interest and I build an entire fucking planet plus ecosystem and society to fit my story and everyone loves Mace Windu and Anakin has a lot of fucking issues and Rex still wants a break more than anything.

AND I MIGHT NOT EVER POST IT. that's how much I love these idiots.

I have only seen the new Spiderman (literally 2 days ago) so I guess that! I think it was pretty good, but tbh I liked the first one more.

Pokemon or bird themed t-shirt paired with shorts or my high school gym trackies if it's cold. I have one green overcoat that I wear pretty much any time I need a jacket, it is very versatile in what weather it can be worn in.

I don't know any celebrities off the top of my head that I share a birthday with, and the only historical event I connect immediately with my birthday is a bad one lmao. Though it happened in the 1920s, so mostly only relevant when I was studying history in high school...

Probably my favourite things that I've posted this year was Dawn and well. haha. (nuts) because they were both very self-indulgent in a way that I always enjoy writing with codywan, though for very very different reasons.

What’s something you’d like to create content for?

I want to write more Aloy femslash!! I've written so much for her, but none really with the characters from the new game, and now with a canon femslash kiss under her belt, I think she deserves to be a wlw icon. Next year for femslash February I'm thinking of trying to organise a Horizon event to get some momentum not just for me but for others to create too

What’s something you were excited about that turned out to be disappointing this year?

I can maybe half say the Horizon: Forbidden West DLC - I liked the overarching plot well enough, and they gave Aloy a lesbian kiss so I'm not too mad, but it carried over almost all of the issues from production that the base game had, which I was keen to see fixed in the DLC. That and the lack of backstory for Seyka or the Quen, the lack of side quests and the lack of interesting stuff to do in the wilds of the DLC made it a bit of a mediocre experience for me (though after HFW I wasn't expecting anything too good anyway).

Not sure if it's hidden, but I'm particularly good at spotting double spaces in a document. Pisses me off (it's my editor brain going haywire... my team is always making fun of me for this at work lmao)
