Ekko kicked open the door with his metal pipe drawn and Jinx gripping her pistol.

The bioluminescent algae soft glow from the window was the only source of light provided in the dark room.

"I told you that no one would be here." Jinx put her gun in its holster and took her mask off.

"Silco took me here sometimes. Singed must have figured after I bombed the council I would come looking for him and relocated."

"I know," Ekko removed his mask and held his weapon over his shoulder. "But I rather be safe than sorry."

"Yeah, Little Man," Jinx walked down the stairs and dragged her finger on the railing. "This dust will kill us all." she smiled teasingly.

Ekko chuckled and followed her. "Shut up."

"Oh, so you want me to kill you then?" she wiped her dust-coated finger on the back of his jacket.

Ekko swatted her hand away. "You can kill me after we kill Singed." he surveyed the papers scattered across the floor.

"He has to be scared of you. He left in a hurry." Ekko grinned.

"He better be fucking terrified of me." she spat.

"I'm going to tie him up. Then one by one, I'm going to insert needles in his skin and watch him squirm and bleed.

He's going to scream in agony. Then I'm going to be the one laughing and smiling this time." she seethed, her eyes glowing brightly to indicate her rage.

Ekko put his hands on his girlfriend's shoulders and gently rubbed them. "We will eventually, Sugarbomb," he assured. "All we have to figure out is where the hell he is."

"You've diced those up quite small haven't you?" Sandi asks looking at the almost minced vegetables.

"Habit." Andrew shrugs not looking up from where he was continuing to chop the vegetables into micro-pieces.

"You make it a habit to chop vegetables down to their atoms?" Noel asks incredulously.

"It's the only way to trick some people into eating vegetables." Andrew says.

WIP Actually-Wednesday

This lovely image popped up again while I was down a tumblr rabbit hole and I remembered I’d actually already written the scene it reminded me of when @womble1 flagged it as having Estera-vibes. It’s a little way down the line plot-wise so I cut the bits that refer to the actual content of the conversation they’ve just had but I think it still works as a scene so I shall fling the words here anyway as maybe it will inspire me to get the next chronological chapter done!

Oh and the location in the story is the breakwater by the lifeboat station, in case anyone wanted to know 🤣

✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨

The wind had picked up and the waves were beginning to splash up over the breakwater. Probably time to get back on dry land.

Estera clearly thought the same as she stood up with a purposeful air and Scott followed suit, cramming the remaining packaging into his deep coat pockets. She glanced up at him, her concern she’d ruined everything written all over her face and he raised his arms ever so slightly, an invitation she could ignore without awkwardness should she chose to. She did not so choose, and threw herself into the hug with such vigour he nearly overbalanced into the water. With minor flailing he rebalanced the both of them and rested his chin on her head as they stood there a while, tiny amongst the relentless energy of the ocean around them. The pair of gulls screeched as they wheeled and chased each other through sky overhead. Scott watched the horizon as he tried to find the right words to reassure his friend.

“I’m glad you told me. It doesn’t change anything.”

That was a lie. It changed a lot of things.

In particular it had birthed an intense new desire to seek out those responsible and systematically remove them from the face of the earth. But that wasn’t practical, even if a not insignificant part of his brain was now distracted by wondering how it could be achieved. It also wasn’t very International Rescue. He squashed the train of thought right down.

It also changed his view of Estera. He suddenly remembered sitting with John in Patricia’s office and watching him begin to finally understand some of his big brother’s experiences. He remembered the relief when he realised John didn’t think less of him, but somehow more. The last thing he’d wanted was pity… This was the same! He needed to make sure she knew… pulling back a little, he crouched slightly to look her in the eye.

“The only thing that has changed is I know a little more about you and that makes me even more impressed by your spirit and your approach to life. You’re stronger even than I realised.”

She bit her lip and smiled weakly, the drop in tension of her shoulders was noticeable. He hoped it was the same relief he still felt.

“I’m always going to think you’re great, that won’t change, ok? You don’t need to hide anything from me.”

Something undefinable flickered across her face before she dropped her head to his chest and seemed to collect herself. She pulled away and straightened her coat.

“Thank you, Scott. You are truly a good friend. You are also getting soaking wet.”

He looked down at his spray soaked coat and chuckled quietly “Seems to be a common occurrence in this town.”

“Shall we?”

Alright I realise I’ve been talking about lots of different things with no particular direction over the past few couple of months so here is my current plan with regards to actual proper content. As for the people who followed me for lore content, I’m afraid I don’t have any plans of posting any (mainly because of the recent lack of new content outside of merch). I would at some point like to make a post talking about Endzeit and Tuberculosis (because for anyone who doesn’t know, I currently work in the biochemistry field and disease and medicine has always been a big interest of mine and in LE it’s specifically stated that Endzeit has tuberculosis-like symptoms (plus it would be a good oppurtunity to spread some tuberculosis awareness because it’s much bigger issue in modern times than you might think if you live in the west)) but I make no promises on when that may appear.

Hopefully that should give you guys some idea of what I’m doing behind the scenes. I do plan to reopen that five line ask game soon but I’m going to get that fantasy AU quiz finished first. Hope you all have a good day!

Ekko calls her, baby blue because of her hair. Jinx calls her cherub and affectionately calls her child as Silco did.

"What mystery challenge will await our bakers in this week's technical challenge?" Noel Fielding's voice questioned over the shots of the bakers all looking at the covered ingredients. "As per usual Paul and Prue have gone off to, I assume, stare passionately into one another's eyes talking about sausage rolls. The bakers technical knowledge of baking will be put to the test." Noel says.

"This week bakers," Noel looks at them all, "You will all be making a quickie!" he announces.

"Love, I believe it is pronounced Quiche." Sandi says.

"No, I think I had it right." Noel shakes his head.
