Azienda Agricola Giol

An unexpected bike ride to hear me tell the story of life and past, of lives and generations that follow one another in a splendid setting of the Giol family who since 1919 returned to Italy after an absence of years. It is Giovanni Giol from Mendoza (Argentina) where he emigrated very young, after having created an empire and the largest winery in the world, who bought the whole complex from the Papadopoli: the Castle, the Park, the Ancient Cellars and a huge green area , which I was able to appreciate during the tour. Today her great-granddaughter Luisa continues with pride to defend this paradise supported by Vittorio, her son, with the aim and desire to protect and protect an unparalleled historical, cultural and environmental heritage. Azienda Agricola Giol. Un giro inaspettato in bicicletta per sentirmi raccontare la storia di vissuto e passato, di vite e di generazioni che si sussegguono in una cornice splendida della famiglia Giol che dal 1919 rientra in Italia dopo un'assenza di anni. E' Giovanni Giol da Mendoza (Argentina) dove era emigrato giovanissimo, dopo aver creato un impero e la più grande Cantina del mondo, ad acquistare tutto il complesso dai Papadopoli: il Castello, il Parco, le Antiche Cantine e un’enorme superficie verde, che io ho potuto apprezzare durante il tour. Oggi la sua pronipote Luisa continua con orgoglio a difendere questo paradiso supportata da Vittorio, suo figlio, con lo scopo e desiderio di tutelare e proteggere un patrimonio storico, culturale e ambientale senza eguali. Come si dice: " hai voluto la bicicletta, adesso pedala"! si, infatti, ho pedalato vicino a Vittorio, l'attuale erede Giol, una pedalata goffa visto il mio abbigliamento poco consono all'attività proposta, con noi il collega ed esperto enogastronomico Mario Pegoraro, con il quale spesso sono in viaggio degustativo per conoscenza, approfondimenti e crescita sensoriale. Una pedalata dei ricordi, di storia, di anime. E' stata una visita e degustazione di esperienze, Vittorio mi ha fatto provare la sboccatura in acqua di un Metodo Classico di Raboso Piave, che emozione. Il Raboso è il vitigno rosso più antico e tipico della Repubblica di Venezia e Giol è il più storico dei produttori producendolo almeno dal 1427.
