I have a Charjabug who is hyper clingy ans REFUSES to evolve. I got him an Everstone so he'd stop being stressed out and if he's not in his ball hes either in my lap or in a baby carrier in my chest. I love him his name is Cubert
i love you cubert. another prime example why the "halted evolution is abuse" crowd can suck a fat one

Any Futurama fans here from the Inside Out fandom? I drew Anxiety and Ennui as Fry and Leela 🧡💜 I thought this would be a good art idea since their colors represent their characters. If you’re wondering why Ennui has an eye patch it’s because her character only has one eye.
Not super proud on how this turned out. I tried 😅 Mind Express is based off of Planet Express.
Tumblr media
I also made a list of Inside Out characters as Futurama characters:
• Anxiety as Fry
• Ennui as Leela
• Anger as Bender
• Joy as Professor Farnsworth
• Fear as Hermes
• Disgust as Amy
•Embarrassment as Dr. Zoidberg
• Envy as Cubert
(I don’t know who Sadness would be but for now I’m gonna say Scruffy the Janitor ig 🤷🏻‍♀️)
But yeah, Futurama has been one of my favorite shows since when I was 11 in the 5th grade. Such a cool series 🥰 Hope you like my drawing of Anxennui! 🧡💜
Btw here’s the closeup transparent of the Mind Express logo I made:

"You knew I was having twins, why didn't you warn me?" Maple asked angrily.
Limburger turned towards her. "Twins? I didn't know that. Shocking."
"Don't play dumb. You did that dumb little mew reproduction lesson and then I ran into two mew flowers. You knew."
"I didn't know you were having twins." Limburger took another sip of his cucumber lime Gatorade. "I didn't tell you because Cheese thought your reaction would be funny. He was right."
"YOU TOLD THAT FREAK BUT NOT ME-" Maple became too angry to speak coherently anymore.
"I needed help with the PowerPoint slides."
Maple gave up and flew off to Mr. Fuji's room. He was working on trying to teach Cubert how to use buttons to communicate, which was adorable. His favorite button was the mom one and he would start spamming it whenever Fuji left him.
Fuji noticed Maple fly in and pressed the auntie button, pointing at her.
Cubert looked from Maple to the button and back. "Cu..." He pressed the auntie button, and then the mad button.
Fuji looked at Maple. "You do look mad. What's up?"
Maple dumped the two mew flowers onto his desk.
Fuji stared at them. "Are these... what I think they are?"
"Yes."
"Thank you. That means a lot." Fuji picked up the flowers gently.
"Don't read too much into it. Didn't want any other humans finding them."
Fuji left the room. Cubert started hitting the mom button. Maple suddenly felt exhausted. She sank to the floor as her ability to float rapidly faded. Now the auntie button was being rapidly repeated.
Fuji came back in with the flowers in a vase. "What about aunt- Oh!" He quickly set the vase aside and ran over to her, kneeling down. "Are you alright?"
"Probably just... adrenaline crash." Maple's brain was going all fuzzy, like she didn't even have the energy to think anymore.
"You should take it easy from here on out. I'll get you some food and water." Fuji started to get up.
Maple was rapidly feeling worse and worse. She was having trouble staying awake. "Hibernation? Only few minutes and already..."
Fuji stopped. "What?"
Maple didn't answer.

i seriously got into Adventure Time somewhere around the mid mark of Season 3's original airing, though i think i watched a few bits from earlier stuff here and there, and i think you could describe its worldbuilding as a slow burn; you get a lot of really weird goofy stuff throughout, but the thing is that none of it is ever dropped or abandoned. It keeps getting built up on, so seemingly random one off jokes wind up being extremely heavy implications of genuinely important cosmology down the road. And technically i think this sense of background lore hinting at a big iceberg beneath the waves that no one in universe notices is a BIG part of Adventure Time and its themes of cylical eras; like all the post apocalyptic ruins everywhere. The characters don't comment on them and don't seem to think they're unusual, but the audiences it, the audience KNOWS what it means and I think that's a really interesting approach to worldbuilding? Letting people put the dots together I mean
forreal, like you start the show like “teehee this is fun, theres only one human boy in this whole world? the dog stretches for some reason? theres a princess made of gum? a vampire?” only for them to explain why all that is and that its all more involved and plot relevant than you expected. not to mention all of the underlying philosophy and nods to real magic practices and belief systems. like they made their wizards have three crucial characteristics: “magic, madness, and sadness” that alone tells me they know their shit.
also the coolest thing about the cyclical eras is that it doesn’t stop with what we see in the show’s present, episodes where they see into the far future (like Cubert’s grayble episodes) and see Ooo in a dramatically different era where you see things like Finn & Jake’s tree grown freakishly tall or PB’s attempts of expanding and preserving her candy kingdom EVEN then. It’s a world you can Feel time passing by.

Chapter 8: heavenly tears
-Break the cycle-
Azael snapped awake in the hospital bed she once relaxed in
What a horrible nightmare
She thought. Sitting up, that awful headache from before shot back again, clutching her head she stood up.
Desperately, she searched for anything to take this awful headache away.
Snatching up a bottle with the label Aspirin in bolt letter attached to it. She wasted no time throwing the lid off and shoving the substance in her mouth like a starving child.
She poured some 'water' into a cup and chugged. When finished she smacked her lips together and sighed, then flipped backwards back onto the nursery bed.
After a few minutes, she got up again noticing a pain in her side. She moved her arm to see a giant gash in her side.
How hadn’t she noticed that before??
Then the realization laid upon her, perhaps while imprisoned those…things cut into her and gave her drugs to not feel pain or even notice. Well, seems the drugs were wearing off.
She cringed, and scrunched up her face while trying to get up and search for some bandages to heal herself, after all she was in a nursery medical room. Wouldn’t be that hard to find some supplies to treat her wound.
She searched the cuberts and cabinets for bandages, wrappings, anything to patch herself, but it had looked like someone came in and whipped the shelf’s clean of its resources. Not even alcohol could be found.
She grumbled in anger. Her wound made her side burn in pain, she sat down and attempted to stop the bleeding.
What kind of crappy ‘medical’ room is this?!
She thought, keeping pressure on the wound while searching some more. She kept searching until her side stung so much she couldn’t even walk or stand. She sat in the corner where she previously slept, mumbling in anger to herself.
Is this it?? Am I just going to die here? All because of a stupid cut?
Her thoughts raced, her sharp breathes echoed off the unstable walls. The toon laid her head back, her eyes became moist and it was becoming quite hard to see. She closed her eyes and a golden tear formed, rolled down her cheek, and fell onto her wound. It stung and she jolted forward.
She sucked her teeth and looked at her wound to see it had disappeared. It was gone.
It..it’s gone? H-how..?
She rubbed her eyes to look again. Still gone, but how was it gone? Was it…
The toon stood up. She felt fine, good as new. She walked around and still felt no pain.
"Huh…" she scoffed.
she didn’t even need bandages, or alcohol. Her tears did the trick. The little angel was still somewhat confused by this sudden power but accepted it.
Her main concern now, is why the nursery was almost empty. It definitely was somewhat full when she entered to rest. Had someone come in while she was asleep? The thought ate at her.
She decided to leave, and pack up little things she had left. Such as food, a blanket and her satchel.
She decided to go back through the vent she once came in through. Throwing the satchel around her shoulder, she jumped and held onto the vents floor and pulled herself up.
She kisses the little angels nursery a goodbye and set off to find somewhere new to possibly stay.

What is the story behind Kildare and Dim-Witty the janitor? I’m not very familiar with these characters.
Dim-witty is a duck character more seen in the much older comics and not very well known, so its not surpise you aren't familiar with him. While his last name is Duck he has no family conecting to Donald.
Tumblr media
This is my favorite design of him but he has a few more modern ones where he's taller and more chubby. He was often paired up in donald every now and then but eventually was made as a first mate for Captain Moby Duck.
I like to head canon he's secretly a witch or something simular, one who specializes in potions and healing (thus why he's working as a janitor at a mental hospital, to try to use his magic to help them)
As for Kildare Coot. He's a cousin of Donald's through Casey (Elvira's brother) While I don't think Canon every said who Kildare's parents were its widely accepted by the fandom that his dad is Cubert coot, son of Casey coot and Gretchen gabe.
Kildare is mostly featured in the italian duck comics, he wasn't to popular in america since he was very simular to Fethry.
which he is but like a thousand times more wacky, He's also more seen with Scrooge's half brother in the italian comics called Gideon.
In his debut comic, (Literally called Kildare the Weirdest duck in the world) Kildare somehow proved he was sane of mind and was allowed to leave the mental hospital he was in (he then proceeded to ride a bus like it was a horse and visited Donald's house)

You! I'm calling you Casper! You being the nice ghost, by the way. Mean ghost? Your name is probably something awful like Bartholomew and that's why you're so mean all the time.
“My name isn’t Bartholomew! It’s Cubert!” the mean one shouts.
“Everyone just calls him Cub, though!”

Cubert: Relax, Dad. We just invited a few friends over.
Farnsworth: Hmm. There's something wrong with your story but I can't put my finger on it.Of course! You don't have friends!
Hermes: Yeah. Why do these popular kids consider you cool all of a sudden?
Dwight: Um ... we're just cool, is all!
Farnsworth: Balderdash! I'll be the judge of who's cool, using the cool-o-meter!

hey so remember the fic I promised like a year ago about Fry being a father/older brother  figure to Cubert?
well I started it.I kind of filled it with sad moments  and I want to go back explain everything and lead up to the spot I started at.(that being 2 years after he married Leela) I want to go in and add the original ideas I had about Fry and Leela’s marriage. so its half Fry and Leela being cute together but its also one long appreciation post about Cubert.  I even have some ideas about the way things work in this world like Fry talking to his family and filling them in on events.

10 Amazing Futurama Comics
There is a severe lack of Futurama content on this and other sites (seriously, the Night at the Museum movies have more fics than Futurama). And, nobody posts about the Futurama comics. So I’m posting 10 of my favorites.
10. Attack of the 50-Foot Amy (Issue #33)
Tumblr media
It’s actually not as sexual as the cover makes it out to be. The basic premise is that Amy mistakes the can of growth spray (that Cubert and Dwight want to use for their science fair project) for hair spray and sprays waaaay too much before her anniversary date with Kif. Meanwhile, Bender teaches Fry the wonders of video piracy, but after he gets scared by a movie home alone style he eats his disc of pirated movies and starts uncontrollably acting them out. You can probably guess how these two plots connect.
While I do list this one as one of my favorites, it’s far from perfect. The artwork is good, but the scaling on Amy is very wonky so she looks more like a twenty-foot Amy (also Dwight’s eyes are drawn weird in this comic, he looks blazed out the entire time). But I cannot help but be charmed by this comic. It’s got some sweet Bender and Fry friendship moments and actually makes me believe Kif and Amy’s relationship for a little bit. They are very sweet in this comic, although Kif does go through some pain in this comic.
Best moments: They way they resolve the plot is actually pretty funny and clever, plus Bender hopped up on pirated movies is a joy. At one point Fry gets shoved by Steven Spielbot (don’t ask) and Bender goes all Rocky on his ass saying “No one talks to my gal, Adrian, like that!” It’s very sweet and...subtextual if you understand my meaning. This one also has anti comic book piracy message at the end which was ironic for me to read.
9. Doctor What (Issue #32)
Tumblr media
The Professor creates a time traveling port-a-potty so that you can pee in whatever time and space you want, although it’s completely random. However, Zoidberg accidentally breaks the potty, so him, Leela, Fry, and Bender have to keep randomly flushing to get back home. On each of these new worlds Zoidberg keeps accidentally saving the citizens, getting medals, and ends up becoming addicted to the fame he keeps winning. Which leads to them getting stuck in a post apocalyptic New New York.
This is the infamous Leela-Bender-Fry fusion comic, Leelan von Fry-Bot. His backstory is actually a little sad, but I won’t spoil it here. This one is pretty good, because it has Zoidberg as the hero. Actually quite a few of these feature Zoidberg as a fourth member of the delivery crew which is weird, but not entirely unwelcome. It’s also fun to see these other worlds, and now that I think about it it’s actually a little similar to The Late Phillip J. Fry, what with the time travel to different interesting worlds.
Best Moments: I actually liked Leelan’s backstory, and his interactions with his “parents” (you’ll understand when you read it) are actually pretty funny and a little cute. Fry really wants to be a dad you can tell.
8. The Simpsons Futurama Crossover Crisis II
Tumblr media
The professor creates a device that takes characters out of their stories into the real world. Trouble is, he tells the mayor that this invention is useful because you can get slave labor out of the characters because they technically have no constitutional rights. The Simpsons end up working with the Planet Express crew, but an accident leads to the release of ALL FICTIONAL CHARACTERS EVER.
This is a sequel comic to the Futurama Simpsons Infinitely Secret Crossover Crisis (fun fact: a reference to several famous comic book arcs). I chose this one above it though because I think it understood the assignment better. The original is funny, but I just don’t think that Springfield is a good setting for a Futurama crossover. Springfield for all its zaniness, is not the future. New New York, however, is great for this crossover. We get several scenes where we see the Simpsons going through space and fighting off monsters. We even get to see the other residents of Springfield in the future, Mr. Smithers becomes a space pirate and Mr. Burns falls in love with Mom, it’s great.
Best Moments: Some of them I already mentioned, but I cannot stress enough how hilarious the Burns-Mom romance is, it’s especially good when you can hear their voices in your head. I also like the friendship the Simpsons have with the Planet Express crew.
7. Six Characters in Search of a Story (Issue #14)
Tumblr media
This is a very interesting comic. The Professor falls asleep, so to pass the time the crew decides to look through his old failed inventions, and well, that’s a very bad idea. The most interesting thing about this comic is it’s designed so that if you want you can only read certain panels to follow one person’s story. The Futurama comics do this a lot of the time and it’s always interesting.
The shenanigans that occur in this one are really funny, and there are some great looking pages in this. Also the Futurama crew clearly took ideas from the comics, and this is one of them. You can tell from the cover art that this does have elements of “Benderama” in it, what with Bender cloning himself ad infinitum. I also really like the climax, it’s a little schmultz-y for Futurama, but I don’t mind.
Best Moments: Fry gets stuck with a Spanish speaking Bender and I don’t know why but it’s really funny to me. The professor also gets some funny moments in this one. And Scruffy. Scruffy is always a delight.
6. Igner-ance is Bliss! (Issue #63)
Tumblr media
Yeah this is the infamous robot Leela and Fry comic. Don’t worry, like the cover says, it’s not as dramatic as it looks. The crew has to go to a world that’s too dangerous for humans, so Fry, Leela, and Zoidberg all have their consciousnesses put into robot doubles so they can make the delivery. However, it turns out this planet is a sort of getaway spa for robots, and the crew decides to party it up there, at least until Bender discovers that this is a front for an evil plot by Mom. The subplot is mostly about how Igner is not respected by his brothers.
This one is fun, and I love a comic where Bender has to be the voice of reason. It is clearly killing him to be the responsible one, but I love it. Also, I have a soft spot for Igner, so it’s nice to see him get thrown a bone for once. This also has some really fun jokes with everyone, but Zoidberg in particular gets some bangers. I think my only problem is it ISN’T as cool as the cover makes it out, but like I’m happy with what it is.
Best Moments: Fry beats up Bender at one point and wins, I think he deserved it. Also, y’all know Admiral Ackbar from Star Wars? He makes some cameos in this one. Also all the robots (sans Bender) make a Japanese style mecha and it’s the coolest thing ever. Plus everything I’ve said about Igner I love in this one. Oh also Fry beats Calculon at poker and I really love that.
5. Who’s Dying to be a Gazillionaire? (Issue #5)
Tumblr media
This one is sweet. The IRS is threatening to bankrupt Planet Express, and if they can’t think of a way to make a million dollars they will go out of business. No one really has any ideas and doesn’t even really care, except for Fry who is determined to save Planet Express. He gets the idea to go onto Who Wants to be a Gazillionaire to make the money, even though it’s a trivia show and if he loses he will die.
This one really warms my heart, it’s Fry at his best, just doing what he can for the people he loves. Even the professor is great in this one. I don’t want to spoil it, but trust me when I say it’s good (god I hope I’m not building this up too much).
Best moments: The end panel. But also the resolution of the story is great, and I really appreciate this comic for Fry as a character.
4. Rumble in the Jungle (Issue #38)
Tumblr media
This is a fine comic. Leela is mad that she’s not being respected by Fry and Bender, and it’s bad enough that they don’t believe her when she says they’re going to crash into a planet. They end up parachuting down and getting separated. Leela ends up as queen of some workers in the “Amazon,” meanwhile Fry finds Bender’s corpse and goes off to avenge him.
This one is fun, and another fun one for Fry, because he’s determined to avenge Bender and works hard for it. This also includes the original Frender, not the ship but fusion. Leela and Fry even have a fight scene against each other and it’s honestly great.
Best Moments: Fry is great throughout the entire comic, and Leela spends most of her time beating up random animals. Bender also using a lead parachute he made out of toys he stole from children is funny, especially because I’m always a sucker for Bender doing dumb shit.
3. Don’t Go Taking My Heart! (Issue #69) (nice)
Tumblr media
Mom only has a couple weeks to live, unless she can get a heart transplant. It’s revealed that Mom uses the cryogenics lab to get new body parts for herself, and that Fry was supposed to be her heart donor! Unfortunately, because he was unfrozen she now has to get him to work for Mom Corp to make sure his heart stays intact for the procedure.
If you can’t tell I love the Fry-centric comics, and I also like the comics where Mom is the villain. Of course this comic doesn’t go completely how you expect it to go, it’s actually REALLY sweet. I also love the fact that in this comic Fry actually makes a great intern. He basically has the job of a secretary and he’s GOOD at it. And I love seeing when Fry is good at things. The reason why I put this at only 3 is because it doesn’t really have a subplot. Bender gets a job at mom corp to but it’s only there for a couple pages, and Leela’s new crew gets two panels and that’s it.
Best Moments: The moments with Mom and Fry, but also guess who Mom’s doctor is? I’m actually not going to reveal it because it’s so random but also hilarious.
2. Boomsday! (Issue #58)
Tumblr media
The Professor builds Bender his own parents, as a way to placate/discipline Bender. However, these parents decide that Fry is a bad influence on Bender, leading to them kicking him out. Meanwhile, the Professor’s doomsday devices are all stolen, and he has to go find them.
Both of these plots are funny and good. Bender’s plot is also really sweet what with his friendship with Fry, and his wish for parents. Meanwhile the Professor’s plot is just really funny and I do love seeing the Professor in his element. The ending is mostly heartwarming.
Best Moments: Everything with Fry and Bender, and Bender has a sweet relationship with his fake parents. Also, the Professor uses Issac Asimov candles on the robot mafia which I found a great joke. Oh, and the Professor’s first doomsday device was made when he was four years old and I love that. The end of the comic also has very nice message.
1. Rotten to the Core (Issue #27)
Tumblr media
The world’s weather has gone kerflooey, and the Professor has figured out that his invention that can drill into the center of the Earth has been used. It conspires that Bender sold it at a yard sale to some aliens call the magmoids. The magmoids are trying to steal magma from the Earth’s core and the crew has to go and stop them.
This is my favorite because it’s a great character comic. All of the main three have great moments, and it’s also a great science comic. The Earth’s core is incredibly magnetic so of course Bender starts spouting out folk songs, and also SECRETS. I can’t believe no one has used the fact that canonically magnets make Bender incapable of telling lies. Anyway, it’s just really fun.
Best Moments: Way too many to count. Bender and Fry are told to cut out the “Brokeback Moanin,’“ Leela and Fry are bitter at the end, Fry tells story about his childhood, Bender has some great secrets to tell, the Professor gets a really fun ending, Bender has a rare moment of generosity, and the entirety of the climax is all kinds of fun and sweet.

i think so much about the alternate planet express future from “the late philip j fry.”
we don’t see very much of it, but there’s so much angst potential for every surviving character because they lost the most prominent members of their work family.
hermes had to feel guilty about bender’s death specifically, given the events of “lethal inspection.” if any other robot died, they could just move their consciousness elsewhere, but bender? gone for good. and now he’s got that on his mind while also presumably handling the professor’s will and inheritance? how does he get sleep? and then eventually he dies but thrives on a pogo stick so at least he’s got that going for him. (he already knows how to live as a head, after all.)
zoidberg spent much of his life knowing the professor, his best friend could die, so for it to happen because of completely different causes must be strange. and hubert was the one person to really understand zoidberg (besides mom and robot santa but you know what i mean, they were friends), and then leela fires him quickly, and where is he to go? i don’t think he even realizes he gets kicked out but it’s still sad.
i assume amy would get to take over the scientific part of the job, so good for her, but i doubt she’d be unaffected. she clearly has issues with her aging body when she’s older, and she’s going after younger guys (though she’s not alone there), but this could’ve happened even if her friends hadn’t died, yknow?
and that brings us to leela and cubert.... the fecal enchilada of marriages.... leela’s the only one we truly explore in this episode, but her marrying cubert for vaguely resembling fry is such a fucked up concept, and even cubert seems weirded out by it. i imagine cubert himself is probably messed up losing his clone-dad and basically taking his place, which could be why he looks like kind of a childish bum despite previously being so cocky and smart, and i think they could have actually bonded over their losses even beforehand. cubert also must have some good faith towards leela as he’s heir of planet express but let leela take the reigns. but it’s still gross since she knew him as a child and is using him to relive her glory days. plus cubert is still a dick.
it’s not actually clear how long they were married before divorcing -- it could be two months, two years, or twenty years -- but one idea i wonder about is what if they somehow had a kid during that timeframe just because that would throw them for a loop and could partly explain why they’d stay married at all (besides business and tax benefits). that idea doesn't quite track with her older age at the time but who knows? future is weird.
it is clear that leela diverted most of her attention to expanding the company during her aging life (i like to think she had to fend off mom as a competitor several times, which would be awesome to see), which is pretty baller, and i imagine she may have liked to fill her company with, in her mind, a bunch of expendable employees who she’d never grow personally attached to and never have to care about losing. instead of sleeping and dealing with grief and nightmares, she can cowrite business models and negotiations with hermes. (i imagine they must have grown somewhat close over the years.)
anyway i’d love to make a fic about this someday if i can do it justice.... it’s Sad yeah but really worth exploring.

did anyone's school not have a lil cult or cult-like thing that popped up?
ours is Cubert, at least on my team (we're split up into different groups for some reason)
essentially, Cubert is a cube-demon who can shapeshift to some extent (some memorable cuberts have been anime-eyes cubert, microwave cubert, photorealistic cubert, and the four-part hallway cubert) that has extended across a good portion of my english teacher's room.
at this point i've made more cuberts than anyone else (probably around 20-30) and i have two in my locker- hatsune mikube and drink arsenic for a fun victorian aesthetic- because i was worried people wouldn't like them and also i was told explicitly not to put up arsenic cubert which i can reason out why
