Alright,

so there's been an Orange Side™ teased for a long time now in Sanders Sides, right? And the common theory is that Orange will be some form of Rage or Wrath, and will either take over or split from Logan, right? Well, I want to voice my opinion on this, because I believe it's extremely accurate, and could also provide an amazing character to the mix to oppose all of the sides (yes, INCLUDING LOGAN.)

So, first point:

This point is very minor, but Logan was the first side to have his name revealed. If Orange is the last side to be revealed, that would mean he'll also be the last one to have his name revealed, which is an interesting parallel.

Second point:

Logan rarely shows any emotions. Yes, he gets excited about Crofter's, he has some small amount of pride whenever he's right, and earlier in the series he feels small amounts of remorse whenever he does something that hurts one of the other sides. But, most of the time, Logan doesn't show any emotions (and in "Alone on VALENTINE'S DAY!" he even says "Call me when you have something a little less feelingsy"). He shows nothing, except for one emotion (which is fairly obvious given the intro to this post, but I'll still save it for later).

Third point:

Logan has had excellent character development since the beginning of the series. In the beginning, Logan only cared about the logical solutions for any of Thomas' problems. He would constantly fight one of the other sides about a problem until one of the remaining sides or even Thomas himself forced him to see what he was doing wrong and concede or compromise. But as the series kept going on, Logan started becoming not just more academically intelligent, but very importantly, more emotionally intelligent. He understands the other sides more, and he eventually comes to realize that every side has their merit, even Janus and Remus.

Fourth point:

Logan often gets ignored or dismissed by the other sides and Thomas himself. Yes, Thomas calls on him for help for several situations, and Logan often saves the day, but even so, he doesn't always get the full credit he deserves. The most notable examples of him being dismissed or ignored are in "Moving On," and "Working Through Intrusive Thoughts." In Moving On, Logan makes a mistake and suggests they go to Patton's room, but once he realizes what Patton's room is actually doing (especially to Virgil), he immediately tries to get Thomas and the other sides to leave. Thomas, Roman and Patton ignore him, and Logan gets frustrated enough to leave. In Working Through Intrusive Thoughts, Logan constantly tries to get Thomas to follow his schedule for the day, but Remus keeps breaking Thomas' focus on his chores. Then, once Thomas finally gets called by Nico, the final thread of Thomas' focus on his chores is broken and he instead decides to go meet Nico to look at art. Despite all of this, Logan still tries to listen to everybody, including Janus and Remus.

Fifth point:

There seems to be a pattern with the sides and whether they're associated with more positive or negative traits. Logan, Patton, and Roman are all positive. Janus and Remus are both negative. Virgil is both positive and negative. If Orange is Wrath or Rage, this creates symmetry on both sides, with Orange joining Janus and Remus as a negative trait. This is also supported in the Sanders Sides Anime Intro (which I'm sure everybody already noticed but it's still worth it to me to bring up).

Now, to bring it all together:

If Orange is indeed going to be Rage or Wrath, it absolutely makes sense for him to either take over or split from Logan, because the one emotion that Logan shows consistently and often is anger. His frustrations whenever he makes mistakes, or when he gets ignored or dismissed, and especially his "FALSEHOOD" are all examples of how he commonly has outbursts (or at the very least, visible) bouts of anger. Logan's eyes glowing orange when he yells at Remus in Working Through Intrusive Thoughts only add to this. If Orange is meant to be a reflection/the opposite of Logan, then he'll likely show emotions constantly, with the only thing that stays the same being the outbursts of anger, just severely intensified for Orange. This also opens the door for the character development that Logan has had being completely reversed (no matter whether Logan is taken over or if Orange just splits from him). All of a sudden, the rest of the sides have somebody that simply does not care about their opinions or feelings. Orange likely will ignore all of the rest of the sides, or even lash out at them constantly, never giving them the time of day. Orange will refuse to see the merit in any of the sides' functions, which is the exact opposite of Logan, who tries to see everybody's merit. The new biggest problem becomes avoiding Wrath, but to no avail, as he keeps coming back angrier every time, until eventually they all realize that, just like with Virgil, they need to try to understand him. The only problem with that is that it's harder to understand and accept Wrath than it was to understand Virgil.

No matter what, though:

I am SO hyped for these teasers to pay off, no matter what Orange ends up being. I have no doubts at all about Thomas' ability to create an amazing and compelling character for all of us to love just as much as the other six sides.

Yes I did, and I have VERY mixed feelings about it. All I have to say on the matter is, I really hate the “bully ends up falling in love with the person they bully” trope. It’s just layered in so much toxicness

Will I hate people who DO ship them/are happy with this? No! Because they are fictional people that don’t affect my life

Will I support my friends who do ship them and make art of them? Of course!

Will it grow on me? For all I know, maybe! And I’m making sure to leave my mind open to it. Maybe how the story plays out will show redemption and a healthy dynamic. Growth even.

But so far? They REALLY made sure you hate Cassandra. Even the Bewildering Blooms season didn’t give us much of a reason to like her “ah yes the prettiest of flowers have their thrones” dur

Over all? Yeah. Not a OTP, but I’m not gonna go be toxic and shame anyone who does ship it/if it does genuinely become canon. If people are happy for it, I’m happy for them. Life is to short to just police people on fictional issues after all.

It’s not like it’s even an issue at all. Not like some weirdos out there. A harmless ship, that is just not my cup of tea. Nothing deeper than that

there will come soft rains

Jimmy dies as he always does: unceremonious and completely his fault. It's what he does best. This time, he takes Tango down with him, the man he's learned to love in the fraction of the time they were there. He lives with that memory for weeks in the dust of Tumble Town, half wondering if it was ever real in the first place. And he assumes Tango does too, in his own little world away from it all.

One morning, Gem approaches him. She asks him a simple question:

"What do you want to say to Tango when I'm there?"

It’s quiet, and dark. Almost too quiet. The entropy of the universe seemed like it had finally settled into nothing, into nighttime, and into dark. Jimmy’s still awake. Being on red—it’s like an itch under his skin. He feels sick, feverish, controlled by something he can’t escape. But there's looming to it, too, the shadow of death that clings to him like the scent of smoke.

Jimmy rolls over. The shape of Tango next to him is soft and warm. His eyes are shut, but his jaw works like he’s biting down on his tongue. It must be getting to him, too.

"Tango?" Jimmy whispers.

"Mm?" Tango hums. He’s still awake, but his voice is heavy with sleep.

Jimmy swallows.

“What happens after this?"

He watches Tango’s face. He frowns, just a soft curve of his mouth, his eyes blinking open. He turns his head, and his expression softens, just a bit, as if he notices the worry in Jimmy’s eyes.

"We win or we die. What do you mean?"

Jimmy opens and shuts his mouth. He means so many things. He’s afraid of losing. He’s afraid of not meaning anything. He’s afraid to be without cause. His heart is a heavy stone in his chest that he wills to beat. What are we? Does this mean something to you? Was this anything?

"I mean...” he says, much slower than he intends. “What happens to us? What happens between us?"

Tango’s face falls in the low light. "Oh," he says, punctuated. "I don't know."

"I don't know either."

"I guess...nothing."

Jimmy stays quiet for a long time before he speaks, his voice soft and barely shaking. His heart hammers in his chest. If he wants to leave, he can leave. He won't keep him. He won’t tie him down. He couldn’t.

"Is that what you want?"

Tango swallows, tries to, Jimmy watches, tries to manage the lump forming in his throat.

"No. It's not. I just don't know what's there for us."

Jimmy laughs a little, and doesn’t mean it to sound as self deprecating as it does.

"I'm not unreachable. I could come visit," he tries.

Tango sighs.

"Sure, but..."

"But what?"

He turns, all at once, to face Jimmy. His face is soft, almost sad, and something in Jimmy aches. Tango reaches out to touch his face, cupping his cheek.

"But do you think you'll still want me? After all of this? I mean you and Scott—"

"Scott? No, no, no, no,” he shuffles forward. He runs his hand over Tango’s shoulder; Tango relaxes and Jimmy drags his hand over his shoulder blades, tracing out the dip of his spine with his fingertips. “Scott and I aren’t together. Scott...” Jimmy sighs. “It was different.”

Tango nods.

“We’re different. And I—you—you wouldn't let me die. Haven't...haven't let me die. And I think I love you."

“You think?” Tango says, smiling, a laugh bubbling up into his voice.

“I do,” Jimmy grins. “I love you.”

"I love you, even if the stupid curse never breaks."

Tango shuffles over, pressing his forehead against Jimmy’s. His skin is warm against his, drawing lines against his cheek with his thumb. Jimmy snorts.

“Yeah?"

"Yeah, even if we die tomorrow. Even if it's next week. Even if it's twenty minutes from now. I love you despite all the...the silly warning signs."

Jimmy laughs, especially as Tango reaches up to kiss the space between his eyes. He traces the back of Tango’s hand, where it still rests on his cheek. His hands track up to thread through Tango’s hair at the base of his skull, scritching against his scalp. Tango sighs against him, his breath warm.

"Come find me when this is all done, won't you?" Jimmy says.

"Can't imagine why I wouldn't. Can't even think of it."

And Jimmy thinks to himself I'm sorry I can't save you. I know it's coming. It's inevitable. But maybe if we hold on a little while longer, I promise you we’ll be alright.  

That doesn’t happen.

Jimmy dies as he always does: unceremonious and completely his fault. He finds himself in the shell of what used to be his home, still screaming for help. Still screaming for Tango. The bed next to him is a discarded shape. He has no need for it now, just the wisp of the person he used to be.

There is the warmth of a presence beside him. He's filled with a list of things he cannot say.

What are you still doing here? It's over. Go home. Go.  

Tango’s not gone. He’s there. But god, of course. Of course it was Jimmy’s fault. Of course it would be him. Of course he would curse Tango with the burden of being his. Of being pulled down with him, of being killed. He turns away from him—there’s no need for Tango to care about him anymore. He couldn’t keep him safe.

When Jimmy wakes up, actually, fully, wholly, he is alone. Tango is not with him. He has nothing to find him by. He’s a memory, fast slipping from Jimmy’s hands like the sand outside the saloon. From beside him, Norman stirs. Jimmy sighs, his heart heavy in his chest.

It was all a bad dream. A bad dream.

Maybe it was his fault for being too much to love.

gosh guys so many things happened this last month☠️☠️☠️☠️ i had to do a emergency surgery to remove a wisdom tooth, the roof of my house FLEW WITH A RAINSTORM 🤩🤩🤩🤩 AND IT WAS ALL, ONE. DUCKING. WEEK BEFORE. THE PRESENTACION. OF 2. (TWO). COLLEGE PROJECTS I HAD.

Of couse, my group was the worst :3 of the :3 semester:3 but at least i passed (i hope so, mr. Talles havent give us the project notes yet 😔😔😔 that mf, he is so hot)

Dang guys, i missed this place, i missed the fandom, everyone and i missed you elesme 😭♥️ i always saw the notifications but never had time to check what it was about 😭♥️♥️♥️♥️

Dang guys, im still at work, (this month is gonna be hard work because of the holidays, so probably im gonna evaporated again at the end of the month), but im better, just a little tired (i was sick this weekend and still recovering), soon my shift is gonna end and i will have time to work on my drawings use new blushes, i cant wait to draw again 😭♥️
