NTF WTH?
I was looking for NTF Art one day by curiosity and... you can only buy them with crypto, not "real" money? And the price is over 400$ for one image? WTH? I could hire a artist for less to get what I had seen. Simple characters portraits, head to shoulders. 😓

NFTs: The Next Big Thing in the Crypto World?
NFTs: The Next Big Thing in the Crypto World? What is an NFT? NFT stands for non-fungible token. A non-fungible token is a unique digital asset that cannot be replaced by another asset. Each NFT has its own unique identifier and metadata, which makes it impossible to counterfeit or duplicate. NFTs are stored on a blockchain, which is a distributed ledger that records transactions in a secure…

PSA: The Mushroom Forest
The Mushroom Forest welcomes all merchants, peddlers, traders, and any other sort of budding young salesfolk to its famed market, but most of those who seek easy monetary profit will leave sorely disappointed. To enter the market one must first obtain a token of favor, usually obtained by performing some sort of long, drawn-out task for a Forest inhabitant, which must then be presented and accepted by the Forest. After entering the market, feel free to browse at will, but take care at what you trade for! A side effect of this token just happens to be that any goods taken from the market will, within the next 24 hours, turn into a mushroom of comparable size (hence the name). Great for mycologists and chefs, not so great for anyone else - unless you’re really keen on getting some shiitake or portobello, as those mushrooms seem to be the transformations of choice.
There are those, of course, who claim to have obtained tokens that do NOT transform goods into mushrooms. Don’t be deluded by such scams. For those well-versed in the customs of the Forest, it is an established rule to never invest in Non-Fungible Tokens.

We here at Netflix think there haven’t been enough movies where the characters go to the bathroom. For too long, moviegoers have wondered just when it was that Denzel Washington had a chance for a quick whiz while escaping certain death repeatedly for over three hours of runtime.
And now they don’t have to leave it up to the imagination. Viewers will be rewarded with one non-fungible toilet token (NFTT) every time an on screen character nips out for a slash. Each viewing of an individual urine event is tracked with unparalleled accuracy, forcing the indulgent Hollywood elite to follow market trends for demand for these tokens. No longer will Bruce Willis take Uncle Pete to the vet without you getting a valuable, non-reproducible, testament to the witnessing thereof.
What can you spend those tokens on? Well, we'd like to say urine luck, but it turns out that our IT department is really dragging their heels on implementing this whole thing. In fact, a good portion of them have already quit, the ungrateful jerks. I bet they're working on their own version of the technology right now. Trust us that in the future, these tokens are only going to become more valuable.
Hollywood asks us, isn't it going to massively ruin our art if a significant portion of the folks watching Casablanca are doing so only to fast forward to the scene in which Ingrid Bergman goes to the restroom? You could say that, sure. Art has always changed with the times, though: they said the same thing when we tried to colourize it last year, and add a realistically-rendered 3D animated Don Knotts to the background of every scene. Audiences demanded it, and we gave it to them. And now, we're pretty sure, they're demanding whatever cocaine told us that this is.

NFT’s - N.R.
warnings: one-shot; heavy flirting, talk about boobs, fluff; reader and Natasha have a secret relationship.
Bucky, Steve and Sam were sitting in the kitchen of the compound talking and drinking over laughs. You walked into the kitchen, grabbing a drink from the fridge and turned to them opening the bottle of water taking a sip out of it. Sam looked over at you and looked at your shirt and frowned a bit, “‘I love NFT’s’. Y/n do you even know what NFT’s are?” Bucky and Steve both looked at you then back at Sam. You leaned up against the counter on your forearms and looked at the three men.
“Yes I do, that’s why i’m wearing the shirt.” you frowned a bit.
“What’s an NFT?” Steve looked at you and Sam.
“It’s like a crypto asset, kind of like money on the internet but you can't like sell it to other people...its hard to example. NFT stands for Non-Fungible Token.” Sam sighed rubbing his head.
“So why are you wearing a shirt saying you love that?” Bucky asked confused.
“That’s kind of silly y/n. Do you even have one of those?” Steve chuckled.
You smirked, “Yeah actually I do. I believe you and Bucky have said it to me before.”
The three men looked at you very confused, “Huh? I’m so confused.” Steve said.
You sat up and pulled down your shirt and the three men read it, in white letters it said, ‘Nice Fucking Tits.’ The three of them started to blush really hard and Bucky hid his face in his coffee cup.
“Oh, wow okay.” Steve nodded humming.
“Hey boys, and y/n.” Natasha said as she walked into the kitchen with a towel wrapped around her waist, wearing a red bikini top, her hair wet. You blushed at her slightly exposed chest.
“Now, those are some nft’s.” you said looking at the men and they all broke out laughing and leaving the room, leaving just you and the redhead.
“NFT’s?” she questioned you grabbing a glass of water, taking a sip.
You smirked at her walking up to her, cornering her against the counter, you towered over her a bit, “Yeah, you got nice fucking tits.” you looked down at her chest as water dribbled between her tits.
She snorted and put her cup down on the counter, looking at you, “You are very very y/n.” she looked down at your shirt and giggled, “You love nice fucking tits huh? NFT’s?”
You bit your lip nodding, “Yeah I do.” you press yourself up against her putting on hand on her hips and the other on her neck, “Come on, you know mommy doesn’t like a tease.”
She looked up at you blushing as she leaned up, her lips brushing up against yours, “That's tough isn't it?” she whispered, pulling herself out of your grip as she walked out of the kitchen, she stopped at the doorway, as you looked back at her, “Are you coming? I have to shower, my tits arent gonna wash themselves.” she smirked as you groaned and ran after her.

Can you imagine what a digital white ethnostate or a cyber caliphate might look like? Having spent most of my career on the inside of online extremist movements, I certainly can. The year 2024 might be the one in which neo-Nazis, jihadists, and conspiracy theorists turn their utopian visions of creating their own self-governed states into reality—not offline, but in the form of Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAOs).
DAOs are digital entities that are collaboratively governed without central leadership and operate based on blockchain. They allow internet users to establish their own organizational structures, which no longer require the involvement of a third party in financial transactions and rulemaking. The World Economic Forum described DAOs as “an experiment to reimagine how we connect, collaborate and create”. However, as with all new technologies, there is also a darker side to them: They are likely to give rise to new threats emerging from decentralized extremist mobilization.
Today, there are already over 10,000 DAOs, which collectively manage billions of dollars and count millions of participants. So far, DAOs have attracted a wild mix of libertarians, activists, pranksters, and hobbyists. Most DAOs I have come across in my research sound innocent and fun. Personally, my favorites include theCaféDAO, which aims “to replace Starbucks” (good luck with that!); the Doge DAO, which wants to “make the Doge meme the most recognizable piece of art in the world”; and the HairDAO, “a decentralized asset manager solving hair loss.” But some DAOs use a more radical tone. For example, the Redacted Club DAO, which is rife with alt-right codes and conspiracy myth references, claims to be a secret network with the aim of “slaying” the “evil Meta Lizard King.”
The year 2024 might be one in which extremists start using DAOs strategically. Policies, legal contracts, and financial transactions that were traditionally the domain of governments, courts, and banks can be replaced with smart contracts, non-fungible tokens (NFTs), and cryptocurrencies. The use of anonymous bitcoin wallets and non-transparent cryptocurrencies such as Monero is already widespread among extremists whose bank accounts have been frozen. A shift to entirely decentralized forms of self-governance is only one step away.
Beyond practical reasons that encourage extremists to create their own self-governed structures, there is an ideological incentive too: their fundamental distrust in the establishment. If you believe that the deep state or the “global Jewish elites” control everything from governments and Big Tech to the global banking system, DAOs offer an appealing alternative. Conversations on far-right fringe platforms such as BitChute and Odysee reveal that there is much appetite for decentralized alternative forms of collaboration, communication, and crowdfunding.
So what happens if anti-minority groups establish their own digital worlds in which they impose their own governing mechanisms? What are the stakes if trolling armies start cooperating via DAOs to launch election interference campaigns? The activities of extremist DAOs could challenge the rule of law, pose a threat to minority groups, and disrupt institutions that are currently considered fundamental pillars of democratic systems. Another risk is that DAOs can serve as safe havens for extremist movements by enabling users to circumvent government regulation and security services monitoring activities. They might also allow extremists to find new ways to fundraise, plan, and plot radicalization campaigns or even attacks. While many governments have focused on developing legal frameworks to regulate AI, few have even recognized the existence of DAOs. Their looming exploitation for extremist and criminal purposes is something that has flown under the radar of global policymakers.
Technology expert Carl Miller, who has long warned of potential misuse of DAOs, told me that “even though DAOs behave like companies, they are not registered as legal entities.” There are only a few exceptions: The US states of Wyoming, Vermont, and Tennessee have passed laws to legally recognize DAOs. With no regulations in place to hold DAOs accountable for extremist or criminal activities, the big question for 2024 will be: How can we ensure the metaverse doesn’t give rise to digital white ethnostates or cyber caliphates?

“We now call it the community industry. The history of the web went as follows: at first it was military, then education and now commerce oriented. What are the possibilities of artists in the confrontation with these three systems? All of the time you can notice the anti-authoritarian spirit that changes flavour. At one stage it is simply pacifist. At another time, when it comes to education, it deals with intellectual independence. As Twain once said: “I’ve never let my school interfere with my education”.
Right now, we live in a corporate atmosphere. The dominant frame in the artistic field is decorative art, but I cannot waste my time discussing it. In new media art, the radical and experimental artists always confront the dominant frame. And right now, it is the community industry that provides the most useful grip that the corporate world can possibly have on the online population. You have all these various dimensions of self-‐disclosure, and when you disclose things about yourself you share parts of your privacy that feed the system. And I think this is a good topic for artists. I am currently working on a project with Heath Bunting. I think this is a good topic because people are blind, they behave as sheep.” — Vuk Ćosić

sometimes i think about the moment i lost respect for my last boss which was when we were on a 2 hour car drive together and he asked if i would ever do nft's and i said no and we had a 15-20 minute debate about the validity of non-fungible tokens, the purposes of them, the financial incentives, and i wound up discussing the concept of what 'qualifies' as art and the value of art vs investment in nft bro culture, and he replied with, "yeah i don't think digital art is art either" and in the process of trying to figure out how he possibly got that from what i was saying he also revealed that he didn't know what bored apes were and i realized he didn't know anything about the topic he was debating and in that moment i stopped giving a shit about what this guy had to say about anything which obviously isn't ideal in an employee/employer relationship but also he was a theatrical technical director who didn't like plays that weren't musicals so in hindsight there were flags

PRAISE FOR Yelping the Tegmine by Cal Freeman
The paragraphing of verse in English turns on the cusp of Lyrical Ballads, not from the familiar to the strange, but the opposite, from the weirdness of heightened speech to the conversational pitch of emotion which, upon reading it, we seem to have always known. Cal Freeman’s poetry scaffolds a similar structure through which his lyric moments flash. He cannot disguise that he is a Detroit poet, and unlike Levine, who abandoned (except in poetry) the once smoking landscape of Southeast Michigan, this increasingly accomplished poet has engaged a life there that is complex and erudite. His is a first-rate talent. Loss is his common topic, and there is a deep philosophical openness to the work of grief. Showing uncanny patience for the thought of longish poems, Freeman holds onto what unfolds for him and then what is revealed for us; as with all good poets, we do not know what he is after at first, but in such wonderfully titled poems as “Dichotomy Paradox as a Non-Fungible Token,” “Yelping the Tegmine” (the title poem), and “Adrian Dantley (AD) Circa 1890s,” we ourselves might say, as we arrive at our understanding, that it’s “the first time [we] remember feeling this way.”
–Kevin Cantwell, author of One Thousand Sheets of Rice Paper
“Nothing really ends, you think, looking out across the lake and knowing otherwise.” This is a book full of haunting poems. Barrooms, Inns, cafes, restaurants, rivers, lakes, memories of places and hard working people living or lost, what’s said and unsaid, the poet alone, reading a book of poetry sipping a whiskey at a bar also shadowed by its past, and always the “returning to something: song, place, or figment.” Cal Freeman’s masterful craft, attention to word, phrase, and detail leave us in awe of his talent. “…the walleyes have minted my irises/ on a bed of sediment and turned them into silver” he says, and we are hooked on his “… certain kind of singing.” Ideas shift mercurially from micro to macro, leap from the quotidian to the philosophical immersing us in real worlds woven with loss yet so alive and vibrant that his poems become the ultimate tribute, an act of preservation and resurrection, and all the while the constellation Tegmine continues to shine over us all.
–Zilka Joseph, author of In Our Beautiful Bones, Sparrows and Dust, and Sharp Blue Search of Flame
