Hmm arguing with P headcanons? Petty lovers' squabble 👉👈
Lovers' spats with Pinocchio would involve...
To be honest... the thing with poor Pino is that he's— basically been made to serve all his life. He's used to doing exactly what he's told without question, so if you ever get mad at him... at first, rightly or wrongly, he'll immediately assume fault and apologise right away.
Expect lots of puppet affection by way of apology; his head resting on your shoulder, his hand in yours, lots of big ol' stares as he tries to work out if you want cuddles. (Best to just take the initiative and cuddle him.)
Before he gains humanity, he's very much like this in every situation. He won't have any problems with anything you do, either; and even if he did, he's not... really used to expressing any problems he has, or being allowed to.
As he gains humanity though, he also gains the realisation that yes, actually, he can express how he feels! So if any lovers' squabbles are going to take place at all, it'd be sometime after that.
For problems he might have... maybe, maybe, he might get a little bit jealous. As he starts becoming aware of his emotions, he realises exactly how deeply he adores you, and... maybe it hurts a little if it seems like you prefer someone else's company. ...Maybe he's a little scared of being abandoned.
He doesn't get mad at you, though. The worst you'll notice is that he might subconsciously be a little withdrawn, busy with other things, suddenly very interested in sharpening his weapon or playing with his legion arm. It's not on purpose; he just... doesn't know how to express himself.
He'll express what's on his mind after being asked, but... it might take a few times asking. He's really not used to voicing his opinions, to being seen as an individual with thoughts and feelings; it takes him a bit to realise that it's okay.
After he gets more humanity, he won't immediately and unquestioningly accept 100% fault for every little thing that happens every time. His understanding of himself as a person grows as his humanity does, as well as his understanding that not every situation is clear cut right and wrong.
So, if you have a problem with him, he'll talk with you about it; he'll apologise sincerely if he is at fault, and if there are any misunderstandings, he's incredibly patient and takes the time to ensure you're comforted and reassured.
All in all, arguments with Pino never last because... well, it's Pino. He loves you, and he's kind and compassionate by nature, and it's not as if he holds grudges or gets spiteful when it comes to you. When a problem arises, he works with you to solve it; and he'll never refuse to apologise when he's in the wrong.

I've seen quite a few people comment on how Sensoji bullied Shouta in high school, but I've never seen anybody talk about how he didn't treat Hizashi or Oboro any better.
Tumblr media
Like...Shouta literally doesn't care??? Shouta just...ignores everything he does??? Which is easy enough when you really only have to put up with someone when your classes have joint training. Hizashi on the other hand? Hizashi's the one who's stuck with him.
Sensoji clearly doesn't think much of Hizashi. We've seen him steal his ideas-and take credit for them, mock him and his friends, and quite literally shove him aside so he can get all the glory in a fight (the interesting thing about that is that 1. Hizashi is smart 2. Even after interning somewhere else, Hizashi is still the only one who knows Oboro and Shouta as well as they know each other. He would have been able to actually analyze and predict their strategies, but by throwing Hizashi away, Sensoji also threw away his best chance at actually beating them)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
through it all, Hizashi seems to mostly shrug it off and take Shouta's advice to ignore him. Except when it's Shouta himself that Sensoji takes a jab at. Then Hizashi immediately jumps to his defense.
Tumblr media
But still, one has to wonder how much of this Hizashi had to endure during his internship? How often has all this happened? How many times has Sensoji taken credit for Hizashi's ideas? How many times has he shoved him aside and said you're not needed here? How many comments has he made about Shouta or Oboro, just to see how far he could push, then to switch to bullying Hizashi, just to see how much further he could go? And many times did Hizashi just...let him?
Then jump forward to when they're adults. Sensoji's stayed with the Buster Union, while Hizashi's parted ways with them, only to return for one big team up. And...there doesn't seem to be any hard feelings between them. That's not surprising on Hizashi's part, it's been repeatedly shown that he's not the type to hold a grudge (there's a really good analysis on that I reblogged a while back that I can link if anybody wants to see it). And Sensoji seems...annoyed by Hizashi's...exuberance, let's call it, but he seems to actually listen to and respect Hizashi's input. There's no more of the antagonism we saw from him as a teenager.
Tumblr media
So there's clearly been a shift in their dynamic. And you kind of have to wonder, was it just Sensoji growing up and learning how to work with others better? Or was there something specific Oboro's death that triggered a change?

Hey im actually curious if you can rate it from 1-10 how much is possessive and jealous enhypen members?
so i already described the way they'd act when they're jealous here, but i'll rank them and give you some additional thoughts i've gathered recently.. since that post is a few months old 🖤
mtl possessive and jealous enhypen member
this is all just according to tarot and my observations.. pls take it lighty! ᰔᩚ
Tumblr media
#1 jake 9.7/10 so.. i kept on debating between him and sunghoon. however, the reason i put jake as no 1, is because he's a lover who's likely to be more emotionally attached to his s/o. in addition to that, his mars is in nonconfrontational libra. this can make him much more passive-aggressive, he won't enjoy openly displaying his jealous nature and will struggle being direct about it. he's someone who will just hold long grudges (scorpios and their lifetime lasting grudges 🥹), find ways to pay you back by making you jealous too.. it's all a bit more dramatic and complicated for him. but it's neck on neck between him and hoon.
#2 sunghoon 9.6/10 the more i read on sunghoon, the more shocked i get about his intensity in love. he's a member who can get much more scary in relationships, since there is such a gap between him as a person and as a lover. he seems to be a big push and pull lover, someone who might give off the first impression of a pretty free-spirited and light-hearted guy.. but boom have him spot his s/o with some other male figure, the man's eyes will turn dark. his energy is pretty heavy whenever i do love readings for him, meanwhile in other readings it can be pretty comfortable.
#3 jay 9.3/10 jay is definitely incredibly possessive. he's someone who holds a lot of responsibility over keeping his loved ones safe and sound, he's very very protective and territorial. his ideal scenario is for you to never leave his side, so that there isn't even the possibility for you to get hurt or be treated badly. this deep desire to never let you go anywhere can definitely express itself in an overly possessive manner.
#4 jungwon 6/10 so, jungwon isn't really the easily jealous or overly possessive type, but he'll feel pretty let down if you manage to get him to that place. i've known a guy with very similar placements to him (aqua ☼ virgo ☾ aries ♀), and he's very easygoing and accepting in general.. however, in love he's immensely passionate. jungwon gives me that same vibe, he's someone who's quite picky and has high standards. so if you manage to date him, he'll expect you to be "all in" and just as dedicated to him as well.
#5 sunoo 5/10 sunoo is a gemini venus.. he isn't really someone who gets jealous a lot, since he usually doesn't take love or relationships seriously enough. but, i remember reading for him, and seeing that he can actually get pretty hurt about people betraying him. i think he kinda stands in his own way by seeming so blasé and unattached to people, when in reality there seems to be a deeply rooted desire to make more meaningful connections, and not just run away from them. i do believe he just needs to mature a little more in order to realize and embrace that.
#6 heeseung 4.5/10 so, heeseung is a very understanding and patient lover. he's someone who's willing, even eager, to put in the work needed to improve his relationships. even when obstacles arise, he isn't really the type to get discouraged or overly emotional about it right away. let's say he caught you texting some other guy.. rather than getting all jealous and vengeful, it's likely he'll just calmly ask you about it without jumping to any conclusions. however, one of his problems in love, can often be the high standards he has for himself. he can be prone to immediately look back on himself, in a more negative manner and blame himself for not having done enough to keep you happy enough. like every problem somehow goes back to him, in heeseung's eyes.

OK BUT WHAT ABOUT THE OBLIGATORY "my big gay demon boyfriend turned into a child :0" ARC FOR MOSHANG like come on. Hua Cheng did it. Lo Binghe did it. Every self-respecting demon must go through it. *snaps fingers* Let's fucking go
Of course Mobei wasn't too happy about becoming weak and unable to defend Qinghua. He even feared that if this continues for too long, Qinghua will just leave him as he becomes useless. And so, he tried to hide in his room, but sneaky Qinghua found out anyway.
*
Shang Qinghua would probably not even recognize Mobei at once bc he became so cute and squishable and tiny and holdable. First Mobei would try to tell Qinghua to get out and leave him alone but Qinghua wouldn't be able to not give smallbei a headpat once and that's it. Mobei-jun can't resist anymore. He needs to be with Qinghua, even if it exposes his weakness now. Screw the pride or the chance that Qinghua will leave...the childish part of Mobei has reawakened in this body, and it demanded to be close with Qinghua as if it was vital. Meanwhile the way smallbei leans in for Qinghua's hand would just break his heart. He literally gave Mobei a childhood trauma and now the said child stood before him, making him realize what a terrible person he is. He can't help but hug his king, who doesn't seem to really object that much, but frowns in a funny way. "Qinghua, let go!" He tries to sound intimidating, but with this childish voice, really? Qinghua only laughs. "My king, I'm afraid there's nothing you can do now to stop me."
*
Mobei wouldn't stop following him around, even though it probably would be safer if he stayed in his room until he becomes normal. Which is why Qinghua has to stay in his room too.
"My king, no one should find out you're vulnerable now. And I have things to do."
"...Say that again."
"My king..."
"That's it."
Although Shang Qinghua wants to laugh at the sight of these puffed up cheeks, he can't argue. Well, if the king says he has a day off, who is he to disobey?
*
He wonders why smallbei clings to him so much, but finds it cute. Mobei knows that Shang Qinghua probably won't be of big help in case of attack, but he just feels the safest with him.
*
Shang Qinghua was dead sure he'll have to pay for this when his king returns to normal state, but he can't refrain from squishing and cuddling with smallbei bc he's just too cute. He knows it's the same Mobei, just that his body changed a little ("a little"), but that only makes him want to cuddle more. He even falls asleep still hugging his king.
When he wakes up, he sees normal Mobei sit near him.
"Qinghua."
"My king...glad to see you in proper state and good health, hehe," Qinghua chuckles nervously. "I hope you're not holding a grudge on me for my...excessive affection?"
"You will pay."
With that being said, Mobei locks him in a tight hug and doesn't let go. Qinghua almost gets scared at first, but then bursts out laughing once he realizes what's happening.
"My king, let go!"
"There's nothing you can do now to make me."
*
"...I thought you will leave. You didn't."
"My king, I would never. Especially when you're like that! How could I leave you?"
"I was weak."
"My king, compared to your normal state, I'm weak all the time."
"You don't need to be strong. I am. But back then, I wasn't."
"And I'm not a princess who needs a saviour. My king, I'm here now not because of your strength. And I am more than ready to be the strong one when you can't be."
Mobei says nothing and tucks his face in Qinghua's shoulder.

Would you do prompt 19? Maybe with Jake? Or Marc?
I can see them trying to be all gruff and nonchalant as a blush spreads further across their cheeks.
"aw, you're blushing." / "no, i'm just cold." + Marc/Steven/Jake
Tumblr media
There's something about Marc that is totally opposed to comfort.
He shies away from it, complains when it's offered to him. He's something like a cantankerous old man, grumpy and grudging and irritated when he’s forced to look affection and comfort in the eye.
Steven is much easier to handle, he accepts the comfort you offer him graciously, usually enthusiastically. When you gift him a new blanket, an expensive one, a soft one, with hand stitched little moons and sphinxes and pyramids along the border, he’s grateful, ecstatic that you thought of him. It's something warm and good and meant only for him.
You watch him examine it, hands clasped in front of you. When his eyes meet yours, wrapping paper still curling to the floor, its with a smile that's so wide it hurts to look at.
"Where on earth did you get somethin' like this? What’s the occasion?" He asks, holding it up to his nose, fingers slipping back and forth over it before he swings it around his shoulders, pressing his face into the material.
You shrug, “No reason, really. I ordered it," you say with a smile, rubbing your hands together nervously. “I thought you would like the texture and we can use it on the couch when we watch films. Do you like it?"
"Like it? I bloody well love it, dear heart," he stretches out his arms, beckons you closer and wraps the fabric around you.
Steven accepts love and comfort and affection so easily, with a kiss and grateful little nudge of his nose against yours.
It was like this too, when you gave him a plushie and a sweater that was too big but had such nice sleeves to worry at and a box of variety teas to try.
Steven appreciates your gifts, and he seems to know what it means to you that he accepts them.
The things Jake find comforting are, at first, very utilitarian.
A new pair of gloves with fur on the inside, hot coffee poured as soon as he's up in the morning, a fidget toy to keep his hands busy.
He grumbles about it at first, but he quickly accepts your little gifts. You catch him smiling when he thinks you aren't watching, rubbing his fingers over the surface of the new pillow you'd gotten him, since he complained Steven's were too soft.
You buy him little scented pods for the cab, comforting smells like lavender and jasmine, and scents that remind him of you and home, like cloves and cinnamon and sage.
Jake stops his grumbling, accepts the little things you give him, accepts that he likes it and that it's how you show affection and care.
"Thank you, corazón," he whispers into your temple, quiet about it, when you leave something out for him, little things that you know he'll love, that you know he'll appreciate because he's never gotten to have his own things before.
This morning, it's a keychain, a good luck stone imbedded in the metal. "So you don't lose your keys," you say, even though you know Jake would never, that he just likes sparkly, shiny little things, even if he wouldn't admit that he does, not even under torture.
"So I don't lose them," he agrees, kissing you again before he heads out for the day.
Marc...Marc is adverse to it all.
He doesn't seem to understand what it means when you try to give him things. You don't say it, but it strikes you, right to the center of your core. It hurts, it burns, that he doesn’t want the things you get just for him.
This is your love language, but explaining that might make him feel obligated to accept your gifts, the little things you find that remind you of them. And that’s the last thing you want, for him to be burdened by them.
You try at first with practical things, like you had with Jake, but he shakes his head, overwhelmed. Like he doesn't know how to accept nice things, like he thinks he doesn't deserve them.
Anything else earned you a confused reaction, and so you gave up eventually, hoping that Marc knows how much you love him, even if he doesn't understand your way of showing it.
It's near Halloween that you decide to risk it again. Autumn was your favorite time to gift things anyways, with the multitude of warm comforting things available. Scented candles and blankets and hot chocolates and candy, socks and scarves and gloves.
A few days before you'd overhead, what to you was a very heated one-sided argument. Steven had been steamed, knocking about in the bathroom. "Bloody hell, Marc! Just accept the gifts! They aren't going to bite you, and you do deserve to have a couple nice things. You hurt her feelings that’s why she stopped.”
The banging around had died down, Steven's voice going softer, the spat ended before it really began.
"Marc?" You say now, watching him cross the street toward where you wait for him outside your office building, shivering in the evening chill.
"Hey, baby," he says, pressing a kiss to your cheek. He always meets you at the end of your shift on Fridays, takes you for dinner somewhere new, a special little routine that lets you know how much you mean to him. "What's that?" He gestures to the shopping bag at your feet.
You'd went hunting for it on your lunch break, and you hope this isn't another failed attempt at showing Marc you care about him, another failed gift.
Taking a deep breath, you reach down and pluck the scarf out of the bag. You figured it was a neutral, safe enough gift, a muted brown color, woven of a soft but firm fabric you know Marc will like.
“It's for you," you say, watching his eyes slide to the scarf in your hands. "It's getting colder and I know how attached to that jacket you are but you always look so chilly. So," you lift it, shrugging your shoulders.
Marc opens his mouth, and you brace yourself for the usual brushing off, the usual denial and pang of hurt that followed.
But no sound comes out and instead of speaking he shakes his head and then dips his head forward.
For a moment you aren't sure what to do until you realize he's waiting for you to slip it around his neck.
When you do and he glances up, he looks sheepish, a pink color spreading across his cheeks, a badly hidden smile, curling at his mouth. "Thank you," he says, the words graveled in his mouth.
"Aw," you murmur, sweeping a thumb across his cheek, "You're blushing."
"No," he disagrees, despite the deepening of the color, his voice an irritated little grumble. "I'm just cold. So it's good I've got this now."
You bite your lip to suppress a laugh. "Good thing." You're delighted, that finally he's accepted something from you.
"Sorry," he twists his fingers through yours. "I didn't realize how much it hurt your feelings. I just - It’s hard for me-,"
You shake your head and cut him off. "It's okay. I know. It's why I stopped."
"But I don't want you to," he says, desperate. "I don't want you to stop. I really don’t.”
You remember the bathroom argument from a few days before. You hurt her feelings that’s why she stopped.
You wonder if he’d been hurt that you stopped, and asked Steven about it.
"Okay," you touch his cheek again. "Okay, Marc. I won’t. I’m glad to."
"Thank you," he says, just a bit flustered at this display of emotions, "For the scarf."
"I would get you a million scarves," you say, tugging at the fabric around his throat. “I would give all of you anything.”

Don't stress yourself, i just thought it could be interesting, thank youu
From Scratch
Tumblr media
Ron Speirs x reader
Summary: No, what bothers you is that ever since he gained control of Easy Company, he’s done nothing but take opportunities away from you. You’re proud to be a lieutenant. But what’s the point of holding the rank if you never do any of the work that comes with it?
A/N: Thank you so much for the request, Anon! I swear I didn't forget about this - or the other prompts in my inbox. School has been keeping me busy this semester, so this took me a long time to write. But it's here now, and I hope you enjoy it! (This is written for the fictional depiction from the show - no disrespect to the real life veterans!) 💕🕊️
Warnings: mentions of war
“Uh oh!” Nixon singsongs when you step into the command post. “Looks like someone is in trouble.” He flashes you a broad grin as you make your way over to his desk and drop a stack of files with a heavy thwack! “What’d you do this time?”
Anger boils in your chest. Not towards Nixon. It’s not his fault. For his sake you try to keep your voice just as light and joking when you shrug and say, “Oh, you know, just the usual sort of thing. Got the scouting mission that I was supposed to lead taken from me and given to one of the sergeants.” You shrug. “No big deal.”
Except it is, and you both know it.
Nixon lets out a low whistle. “Damn. And might I inquire as to who arranged this?”
You roll your eyes. “Do you really need to ask?”
Speirs. It’s always Speirs.
Which seems unfair, somehow. You can still remember the first time you saw him, way back in Camp Toccoa, when he was in a different company, but already gaining a reputation for himself as one of the best runners. One time you passed him as you were going up the mountain and he was going down. He had nodded at you as he passed, and something about the niceness of the gesture made your heart jolt so fiercely that you almost tripped as you started on the switchback.
Then he went on to distinguish himself in other ways – the ever present whispers of rumors and stories that follow him like a cape made out of mystery – and suddenly, after he was put in charge of Easy Company, he didn’t seem so nice anymore. The rumors have never bothered you; Ron is a good leader, and you trust that he’s making whatever choices he needs to in order to keep the company safe.
No, what bothers you is that ever since he gained control of Easy Company, he’s done nothing but take opportunities away from you. You’re proud to be a lieutenant. But what’s the point of holding the rank if you never do any of the work that comes with it? (Well, besides paperwork, that is.)
The most frustrating part of it is that as angry as you are with him, you still feel your heart begin to hammer away in your chest whenever he enters a room – or race into triple time if you think he’s looking at you. How dare your own heart still feel so fondly towards him when your eyes can clearly see the obvious fact laid before you?
The fact being: Ronald Speirs dislikes you. Which kind of makes it feel as if someone is crushing your heart under their shoe, like a cigarette being ground out on the sidewalk, when you think about it.
You push the thought – and the feelings – aside. Or try to, anyway.
“I hate paperwork,” you mutter as you take a seat across from the intelligence officer. “Almost as much as he hates me.”
“I don’t think Speirs hates you.” When you fix him with an incredulous look, Lewis holds up his hands in surrender. “I mean, he might hold some sort of grudge against you, maybe, but hate you? If that were true, I think you’d be dead by now, (Y/N).”
You roll your eyes; it’s a conversation you’ve had before, and one that never fails to fill you with the smallest shred of hope that maybe Nixon is right about Speirs not completely hating you. “Well, now I hold a grudge against him for making me do all this paperwork.”
“You sound like somebody else I know. Ah, and if you speak of the devil, then he shall appear!”
Quick, confident footsteps approach the desk from behind you. Neither you or Nixon can stop the smiles that spread across your faces when Dick appears. Even something as simple as his presence has always been able to lighten the mood, and today is no exception.
He returns the smile as he pulls up a chair from a nearby desk to join you, but not before glancing over both shoulders, searching.
“The devil?” He huffs a laugh. “Weird. You were already here, Nix.”
“Oh ha ha,” Nixon deadpans. He props his feet up on the desk and leans back in his chair.
Dick gently pushes his friend’s feet off the desk, which makes Nixon sit upright. For his part, though, Nixon doesn’t seem to mind it. Or mind that Dick sets more paperwork in front of him. Well, at least someone seems okay with filling out forms. Maybe if you’re extra nice, you can trick him into doing all the work that Speirs assigned to you.
Just as you’re trying to sneak your stack of files in with Nixon’s, Dick raises an eyebrow at you.
“There a reason that you’re stuck inside again, Lieutenant?”
You shrug. “Oh, you know how I just can’t stay away from office work. And how much I love to be bombarded with company gossip by Nix.”
Lewis puts a hand over his heart and gasps. “What?! You mean to tell me that you don’t hang around here because you enjoy my witty banter and winning personality?”
“Actually, I would rather – “
You’re cut off by the sound of someone clearing their throat behind you.
Slowly, you turn to see Speirs standing a few feet away from where the three of you sit. Upon first glance, he looks a bit like a child standing on the fringes of a friend group on the first day of school, nervously waiting to see if he’s going to be invited to join in. But when the shock clears off, it’s impossible to miss the look in his eyes – there’s a darkness lurking beneath the surface that suddenly makes it so easy to see why every rumor thrown his direction sticks to him like he’s covered in paste. It makes your heart drop.
“Good afternoon, Captain,” Dick says, leading the charge bravely, as always.
After a nod and a brief salute, Speirs turns his attention to you. “Lieutenant (Y/L/N), I forgot to give you this.”
Your heart sinks when you realize that he’s holding yet another file full of paperwork. It’s such a setback that your heart can’t even bring itself to run wild when your hands briefly brush his as he hands it to you.
“Oh.” The words feel rough as sandpaper as you force them out. “Thank you.”
When you manage to meet his eye, Speirs has furrowed his eyebrows, which makes him look thoroughly annoyed. Standing so close, it’s easy to see the striking features of his face – like a marble bust of a Greek hero. He’s so handsome, even with the lines between his eyebrows and the frown tugging at his lips. It makes you want to reach up and smooth them away, let him lean into your touch so you can soften his features, molding them like clay into the gentle man that you imagine he might be under his tough exterior and the cold armor of rumors that make every line so harsh and so jagged to everyone else.
But you can’t do that. Instead, you’re separated from him by his armor, just like everyone else. You hate that you’ve caused him to look this way – to look at you this way.
“You know,” Speirs says, his voice quiet and as cold as the look he’s giving you. “it’s a lot safer here than it is on the line.” He glances back at Nixon and Winters before looking you up and down. “Get to work, Lieutenant.”
Then, just as quickly and as silently as he appeared, he’s gone.
It’s so cold, so impersonal. Your stomach turns to a block of ice.
Behind you, Nixon lets out a low whistle. “Well then.”
Get to work. Part of you wants to scoff, brush it off, and go back to your friends. The other part of you is chasing after him, trying to figure out where it all went wrong. Instead, you’re stuck standing there, staring after him, looking forlorn.
No, you decide. You can’t carry on like this.
The file falls unceremoniously onto the desk in front of Nixon as you toss it at him. “Finish this for me, will ya?”
Dick can’t contain the small laugh that escapes him when he sees the surprised look on Nixon’s face. You’re out the door before either of them can offer a proper response.
Outside, you don’t make it far. The door clicks shut behind you, and when you look up, you see him. Ron is a few feet away, coming towards you, closing the distance between you. Unlike a few moments before, he doesn’t look mad. The hard edges of his expression have softened into something like concern.
You stop in front of each other, each waiting for the other to say something.
“Can we talk?” You ask at the same time that Ron blurts out, “I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have done that.”
You blink. “You’re what?”
Voices fill the air as a small group of officers approaches the command post. Ron gently takes your elbow and guides you aside so that they can pass, not seeming to notice or care what it does to your poor heart.
He lowers his voice as the group passes. “Can we talk? Privately?”
The Ronald Speirs wants to talk, alone, with you. There’s no question about it – you follow him.
He leads the two of you into one of the remnants of a building that soldiers have been quartering in. The skeletal remains of the structure probably provide no protection for whatever words he wants to exchange, but at least you can be away from prying eyes.
Alone, his dark eyes look you over. The motion isn’t as harsh as it was back in the command post. No, this is . . . gentle. Like he’s studying you.
You find yourself nervous under his gaze. Clearing your throat, you try to find your words. “You wanted to talk?”
Ron looks unsure of himself – something that you never would have imagined was possible. He runs a hand through his hair and sighs, the sound filtering through the hollowed out room you stand in like it’s the building’s last raspy breath.
“I was an accountant, back before the war.”
Whatever you thought he was going to tell you, it certainly wasn’t that. You raise an eyebrow.
“Oh?”
He nods. “I’m good with numbers; that’s my strong suit. Words . . . don’t work themselves out as easily. Some people mistake quietness for cruelness.” The dim light casts shadows on his face as he tilts his head. “You’ve heard the rumors, just like everyone else?”
Who hasn’t heard the rumors, the stories? Speirs can’t walk through a room without turning heads and leaving a trail of whispers in his wake.
“Yes,” your voice comes out as a whisper. Are they true? you stop yourself from asking, because with his sudden openness, you’re starting to question everything that you’ve ever known about Ron Speirs – everything you’ve thought you’ve known. Who is this man, really?
“I . . . didn’t mean to snap at you,” Ron admits, his voice as soft as the look that he’s giving you. “And I’m sorry about all the paperwork. I don’t have a grudge against you.”
You cringe. So he did overhear that part.
He wets his lips, not quite meeting your eyes. “I try to keep you off the line so that you’ll be safe. There’s no grudge or dislike or . . . I just wanted to keep you safe because – “ He cuts himself off with a deep breath.
With the quiet all around you, the frantic beating of your heart fills the silence. “You want to keep me safe?”
“Yes. If you’ll let me.”
Being in the same room as him felt impossible a few minutes ago. Now though, some inexplicable force draws the two of you together. You both step forward so that there’s hardly any space left between you. Something in the back of your mind wonders how things have changed so quickly. What else have you been wrong about?
“Who are you, Ronald Speirs?”
So close to him, you can see the smile tugging at the edge of his mouth when he replies, “There’s your answer: Ronald C Speirs. That’s all that I am.”
An accountant. Someone’s son, brother, friend who got drafted into the war. A man. The rumors and myths that shroud him fall away until someone you don’t know stands before you. You want to get to know him.
“Well, Ron, it’s nice to meet you. I’m (Y/N).” You smile at him, and it feels natural when he returns the gesture. “Can we maybe start over?”
Ron lets out a laugh and you could swear it was the sweetest sound in the entire world. “I would like that very much.”

Okay. I've already talked about how the comics...pretty extensively screwed over Azula both in my own posts and in reblogs to other posts on the website. So I'm gonna take a break from that and talk about how...the comics screwed over another character I'm fond of.
...I really need to think of other topics.
So anyways, Mai.
Tumblr media
Again, I already touched on how Mai was handled in the comics with my post about how the entirety of the Fire Nation was whitewashed and Azula was used as a scapegoat. But I kinda want to dive into Mai a bit more since it damages her character in particular along with some other questionable narrative choices.
Starting with, obviously, her relationship with Azula. Again, I already went over how they tried to retcon her friendship as being something she was "forced into" and actually holding a grudge against Azula, so I'm not gonna go treading the same grounds again.
What I am going to go into is how freaking pathetic they make Mai look in trying to make this grudge out to be.
See, one of the incidents that apparently Mai hates Azula for is...stealing mochi from her mother's kitchen. Seriously. That's a reason.
Yes. Apparently one of the reasons Azula was a bad egg was she stole mochi the one time. Yep. Something stupid they did as a kid together. But we can discuss how the comics tried to demonize Azula as a child another time to focus on something...well...take a look.
Yeah...for some reason, they had Mai hold it over Azula's head about the time they stole mochi together.
Tumblr media
...forgive me for stating the obvious, but how does Mai look better for seriously holding it against Azula for something that happened when they were literal toddlers? If nothing else, it makes her like a complete womanchild.
And womanchild is not something that should be ever uttered in reference to Mai ever.
Cause Mai's grudge against Azula? It's practically out of control in Smoke and Shadows. I know it's popular to assume Mai hates Azula, but she never actually held much of a grudge against her in the series proper outside of the Boiling Rock incident. But stuff like this:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is too much.
But why am I harping on Mai's sudden hatred of Azula all of a sudden?
See...one of the things Smoke and Shadow seemed to do was to try and paint Azula as Mai's nemesis. The source of her childhood trauma or whatever. That overcoming her fear of Azula will make her a stronger person or whatever.
Except...no...no it's not.
Azula wasn't the source of Mai's issues growing up. You want to know what is?
Mai: What do you want from me? You want a teary confession about how hard my childhood was? Well, it wasn't. I was a rich only child who got anything I wanted ... as long as I behaved, and sat still, and didn't speak unless spoken to. My mother said I had to keep out of trouble. We had my dad's political career to think about.
Yeah...that's what Mai's problems came from.
She was passed over her younger brother by both her mother and father and was constantly conditioned to reign her emotions in and basically be a piece of furniture. Mai literally joined Azula's group just to get away from her toxic family.
Hell, guess who's one of the biggest obstacles in Smoke and Shadows?
Tumblr media
Yeah. Ukano. Her own father.
This could've been something big for Mai. Finally standing up to her father for all the bullcrap he put her through, the real source of all her problems. You know, something that was actually hinted at in Rebound, the Free Comic Book Day issue.
Instead, it all gets scrapped. Mai actually defends her father while showing more hatred for Azula. To me, that's the equivalent of Zuko's tantrum of blaming Azula for everything in The Search while Ozai doesn't even get a mention. Mai would rather throw her friend under the bus while sticking her neck out for her traitorous, neglectful father.
As someone who actually enjoys Mai, this damages her character so much. It doesn't make her stronger. It just makes her look like a coward not standing up against those that put her through hell while projecting her issues onto somebody else. In this case, Azula. And since Ukano's been arrested, now there's no way to properly resolve Mai's issues that way.
That's why I hate what these comics did to Mai. She honestly deserves better than what she got. For a character with as much potential as her, she got a raw deal. Big time.

teru mikami analysis bc i love him
hi i'm just here to rant about how much i love teru mikami's character because he's genuinely such a well written character. this is probably gonna be unorganized and just rambly. i might rewrite it later but for now i just need another reason to procrastinate and focus on my silly emos.
(oh yeah also spoilers if that isn't obvious)
-------------------------------------------------------------
mikami is probably one of the best representations of religious trauma (at least imo and from what i've seen). i haven't read the manga yet and a lot of this might just be me projecting, but either way he's still the top in my books. there's SO many scenes and details about him that remind me so much of myself when i was still heavily involved with christianity (and to be clear, this is my own interpretation, not me tryna shit on any religions. that's a big wompwomp no-no. respect ppl hoes). so here's some random bits about mikami that make me go "OH SHIT ME-CORE ALERT!!!!":
the entire thing with his mom. i know that when he reflects back on his mom's death, he talks about how he's happy the whole thing happened because "she's evil and god killed the evil for me thanks god" but i completely believe the whole thing is just him brainwashing himself. like think about it for a second. his mom just died in the same car crash that involved his main tormentors, and this was also right after he was holding a slight grudge against his mom for defending said tormentors (she obviously didn't do that. she was just trying to help mikami view the world from a more realistic point of view to keep him out of trouble, but when you're that young and that passionate about justice, to him it'll seem like she's defending the same evil he's trying to fight). when you combine these things together, this is just gonna lead to a WHOLE lot of conflicted and lost feelings, and we see that in mikami. he had just been through a rough conversation with his mom, and she died before he could even get a chance to really think about said convo. all he is left with is a mixed feeling of loss, resentment, and fear. however, on the other hand, her death meant that the tormentors she was defending had also died. so to him, it has to mean something, doesn't it? the group of bastards that had been ruining his and others' lives and had finally been rid of. and if this had happened right after his mother had been defending them, it has to be a sign, right? there has to be a reason for all this hurt, right? when mikami is viewing the world through these lenses, it makes sense that'd he'd suddenly want a reason to justify his mom's death, even though it feels unbelievably cruel. so he finds a reason, and he finds that reasoning through god. this is honestly something that i used to do a lot when i was still heavily invested in my church, and i'm sure there are others who have been in the same situation. when the world is unjustifiably cruel, people will make up justification for it. it's a fear tactic that many people fall prey to in religious environments, and if not treated, it can fester into much more toxic environments for the people around them.
^^^ tldr: mikami copes with his mom's death by telling himself "it's okay that my mom died!! she was working for satan and god had to kill her!! thanks god!!" and if that's not the most religious-trauma-core shit out there then idk what is.
ALSO LITERALLY JUST EVERYTHING WITH LIGHT'S DEATH???? YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW MUCH THAT SHIT HURT MAN. the realization that your god is not the god you thought you had been following used to be some of the scariest shit out there to me and mikami had it thrown right at his face when light died. not only was his god gone, but his god was never a god to begin with. he was just some guy. some pathetic guy who was now bleeding out and screaming on the ground. he had dedicated his life to this thing, and it was never real to begin with. and so he dies with it. because when the god revolving your life is gone, what other life do you really have? mikami was the perfect fucking example of that and i need it to be talked about more fucking please guys he's literally just like me fr i swear.
that's all i can think of right now tbh. if there's any typos in here no there isn't you're wrong nuhuh. anyways i fucking love mikami's character. he might be an antisocial autistic boyloser edgelord but he's MY antisocial autistic boyloser edgelord and i will defend him with my life. that hoe did EVERY wrong thing but your honor he is just a silly guy.

This is chapter 1
Summary: this a brief smoking session with season 3 Daryl, right after escaping the farm but a little bit before finding the prison. Daryl and Y/N don't really talk despite being in the same group since the quarry. Daryl's holding a grudge towards Y/N for helping Rick to handcuff Merle to that rooftop and doesn't really want anything to do with her.
Pairing: eventual Daryl x fem!reader
Word-count: 533
This is also a little experiment, if this goes well I will create a series out of this story with longer chapters. This is also my first time writing a fanfiction so I hope you'll enjoy. Sorry for eventual grammar mistakes, English isn't my first language.

Chapter 2
┌──────────── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆───────────┐
You have been traveling with Daryl Dixon for a few months now, and you cannot help but feel drawn to him. His rugged exterior and quiet demeanor had something special in them.
However, you have not dared to converse with him. Despite being in the same group with the same goals, you have only received some grunts and unfriendly glances from him. You didn't really know why he did; he talked with everyone one else except you.
You noticed that he usually sneaks out at night for a cigarette or two, and you decide to follow him one night, primarily because you used to smoke too before the outbreak, and you wanted to see if you could get some from him.
“Watcha smoking?”
The question caught Daryl's attention as he turns around. With his expressionless face he replies "Tobacco. Ya want sum?" as he pulls out a pack of cigarettes he found after the last exploring excursion.
For the first time in months he responded to you.
His face remains unchanged, he just stares at you waiting for your answer without showing any emotion on his face.
"I didn't know you could be so generous" you affirmed with a tiny bit of sarcasm in your voice while grabbing a cigarette from his pack "You got a lighter too?”
Daryl ignores your comment, he simply tosses you a lighter, his facial expression remains unchanged, it seems like if everything is not a big deal to him. In the meanwhile he also grabs a cigarette but it looks like the lighter doesn't want to work. Despite this Daryl remains calm and doesn't seem to care too much about it "This lighter sucks" as he shakes the lighter trying to ignite it while keeping his cigarette between his teeth.
You remained silence, glancing at Daryl trying to get the lighter to work. He looks quite silly and clumsy in this situation.
Daryl finally manages to light up the cigarette, he leans against a tree and looks at the sky. A long silence then breaks.
After a bit he speaks again "What brings ya t' follow me?”
"Just the cigarette smell" you admit "now can you light also mine?” hinting at the cigarette in your hand.
As he hears your request he turns away from the sky without saying anything and lights up your cigarette too.
"Got what ya wanted? No' leave" he says giving you an expressionless look, and without waiting for a reply he goes back staring at the sky lighting up his own cigarette once again.
"Why are you always so rude?" You commented quite annoyed by his attitude while grabbing a deep drag from your cigarette.
Daryl slowly shakes his head as he takes a drag from his cigarette, still not looking towards you
"I dun' have t' be friendly or chat with ya just cuz we are in the same group. We barely even speak, we are strangers" he replied with the same neutral expression
He was right after all.
"Now... Do i have to ask again?”
"Alright, alright. I'll leave" you said taking your cigarette with you, smoking it on your way to your tent
Daryl gives you a short nod. He doesn't speak, he simply takes another drag from his cigarette and goes back staring at the sky.
└─────────── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆───────────┘
Thank you for reading till the end. It's very appreciated. If you're liking this idea by far please lemme know.

Not sure if I even read the Breaking Point fic. Maybe, maybe not. But I have my own share of fics that "we can fix canon" but make worse.
There one fic I recall (the name slipped from my mind) where ofa somehow shows the class A1 all the abuse Izu endured by BK - it was all thanks to bk and Izu forced team up- and still...people did nothing.
Now think about this premise: ofa shows the abuse and people are just midly concerned.
Why is that? Why make Izu be seen as a victom and get help and support is smth so rare in this fandom?
It is rare see Ochako and his so called friends do stick up for him in fics and not be demonized. Hell, there one where class A1 finds out bk bully Izu(OH MY GOD HE TRIED TO KILL HIM...why fics make them discovery their past as if is a big plot twist?) And proceed to give a taste of his own poison.
And...."this is bad. They shouldnt do this. Poor bk"
You know, some stories talk aboht forgiviness and can be a really touching and well done thing....but those are rare, extremely so. I'm tired of "forgive them bc this is correct" let Izu hold grudges. Let Izu dont forgive bk and be in his right.
A dorama who got this right is The Glory. The mc was horrible abused and got her revenge and in no point people were "forgive them" to mc.
To conclude: this fandom seems to tnink Izu and pain are the OTP when it really isnt nor should be.
Yeah, the fandom can be... Desensitized to this issue so to speak. I think this is for two reasons.
1. So much of Bakugou's behavior is brushed off as a joke. It's easy for people to turn a blind eye to his treatment of Izuku because so much of it is glazed over by cheap laughs.
Honestly I'm pretty sure that's why people think we're so stuck in the suicide baiting in episode 1. Because that's the only moment the series ever really treats Bakugou's behavior as serious as it is. Like, yeah, that was bad, but that's far from the only thing Bakugou's ever done to Izuku. There's attacking him during the Quirk Apprehension Test, hunting him down and seriously injuring him during the Battle Trials, being purposely uncooperative and punching him during the Final Exam, coercing him into a fight after curfew and demanding information that absolutely wasn't his business, throwing his headpiece at him, attempting to forcibly draw Blackwhip out with no consideration of the consequences, etc. Mind you, everything I just listed happened at UA (a few when he was supposed to be "changing"). I would argue that a good number of these things were worse than the suicide baiting.
But they don't register in people's heads the same way because the narrative doesn't treat them the same way. So when fanfiction authors try to write these stories, they're only looking at one aspect of it while turning a blind eye to everything else. They might do a decent job addressing how Bakugou treated Izuku in Aldera, but do a piss poor job of addressing his behavior at UA.
2. Horikoshi doesn't allow Izuku to be looked at as the victim.
This wasn't always the case. We're supposed to feel bad for him in episode one. We're supposed to think that his treatment at Bakugou's hands during the Battle Trials is brutal. He was written to be the sympathetic underdog who's been given a bad hand in life and gets treated like shit because of it.
But that began to change around Deku vs Kacchan Part 2. Hori knew that Izuku had to forgive Bakugou if the viewers were going to. But there was also no way to realistically do this if he actually had a negative response to Bakugou's treatment of him. So he gave us the implication that Izuku wasn't bothered by it at all (which we know isn't true because he was extremely upset when Bakugou said what he said in episode one). He confirms this through All Might of all people, so it has to be true, right?
And most viewers will accept this at face value. Because they're looking for an out for Bakugou. They're looking for a way they can like him while not condoning a bigoted bully.
That's how I see things anyway

Okay, Tech will never admit to it, but he finds it super sexy when you wear his goggles during the sex.
Especially when they don’t properly fit on your head so every bounce on his cock the goggles are slowly slipping down, which gives him the excuse (as if he needed it) to hold your face.
Take it away! ;3
A little something for you, my love! 1k words, gender-neutral reader, but feminine leaning.
Tumblr media
When you first joined the Batch as their mechanic, Tech instantly didn't like you, purely because "why do we need a mechanic? I possess all the skills necessary to keep ourselves, and the Marauder fit for work-" blahblahblah, and in all honesty, you agreed with him, despite his negative way of saying it.
But the GAR has assigned you to this squad, so unless the Sergeant decides to dismiss you, then you're here to stay. (And there's no way that Hunter is going to do that!)
You and Tech have got off on the wrong foot… well, Tech has a grudge against you as he views you as his 'replacement,' but you're simply trying your best to get on with everybody - which you're doing a great job of!
Tech always insists on doing repairs, and it gets to the point that Hunter has to intervene, pull him aside, and chew some sense into him. Tech will sit and sulk, pretending to put his focus into one of his side project, when he's really glaring at you in the corner of his eye like a grumpy child. Wrecker has the nerve to comment that Tech is only jealous, and… let's just say that that argument didn't end well. So, after a few weeks of getting on with your work, you decide to give your friendship with Tech another attempt. To his surprise, you ask for some assistance with soldering the hull of the ship after a crash landing, and Tech jumps at the opportunity. He's only doing it to flex his skills, but hey, maybe this is what you need to bridge the gap!
To Tech's surprise, the only protective gear that you pull on is a pair of thick work gloves (and your overalls, but they're almost always on,) and Tech practically screams at you! He insists that you must wear some form of protective eye gear, despite the fact that you're only soldering tiny wires together on the lowest setting - a job that will take twenty seconds, tops.
Nether the less, Tech rushes off, and soon returns with a spare pair of goggles, a replica of his most beloved ones. You pull them on, despite feeling like a goof ball, and get to work. It doesn't take long for the thought of Tech's goggles to slip from your mind, and you spend most of the day with them on, working as if they're now part of your uniform.
Tech, despite getting on with his work, keeps catching you in the corner of his eye. As smart as he may be, he can't understand why he's feeling the need to loom over you, that is, until you decide to take a break.
After breaking a sweat, you unbutton your overalls, and wrap the sleeves around your waist, leaving your upper half in your tank top, your skin able to breathe at last! Tech's goggles come to rest on your forehead, and you're finally able to give your eyes a good rub after discarding your gloves.
Ah, there it is! The realisation! Tech finally understands why he's been acting so strange towards you, ever since the start. Sure, having his job 'taken away' definitely hurt, but he seemed to be seething purely because you're attractive, and he doesn't know how to proceed with that information. He's spent his entire life around his brothers, Jedi generals, the Kaminoans, and Mandalorian trainers - all of which aren't romanceable, (although that hasn't stopped some of his vode… Commander Cody!)
And then comes along this pretty mechanic, now wearing his goggles, and currently asking him, "what are you staring at, Tech?"
"Oh!" Tech sputters. "I was… well, I noticed that you are having a break, and I was considering doing the same."
"Have a break then, Tech," you shake your head, not understanding why that was such a big decision for Tech.
You two finally have your first, proper, civil conversation on your break, both sharing snacks, and enjoying a mug of caf. The friendship builds from there, and hey-ho, before you know it, you're both in each other's grasp!
It was your idea to keep his goggles on during one of your many intimate moments. They're your goggles now, but you still refer to them as "Tech's spare pair," despite Tech's protests that, "they're a gift, an item to ensure your safety, darling."
You two shouldn't be fooling around whilst attempting to do repairs, but the Batch are out on a supply run, and you two haven't had a moment alone since the other week when you snuck off on Kamino. The Batch totally don't know about your relationship - winkwink!
Overalls are discarded, as well as a certain someone's codpiece, and you can tell that Tech is considering stripping off more armour as you sink down onto his length, seeing as he's burning up at the sight - his darling, still half-dressed in uniform, wearing his goggles, is bouncing on his cock whilst letting out the sweetest sounds that he's ever heard.
"How the kriff do you manage to keep these on?" you laugh as you move your hands up to shift Tech's goggles up onto your forehead, but a sudden hand on your arm stops your movement.
"-Leave them," Tech gasps. His eyes suddenly turn wide after his outburst, and he begins back peddling, "-I mean, that is… if you want to? I find their loose fitting rather attractive… and-"
"-Tech," is all you need to say to shut him up. "I'll leave them on, even if they are slipping down my face."
A firm pair of hands grasp onto your hips, and with caution, Tech rolls you onto your back, his length not slipping from you. "Let me take over then, cyar'ika. Just relax, and enjoy the ride."

Hi!! I was wondering if you can do a tarot reading regarding seonghwa’s future spouse like general information (foreigner, what they would look like appearance wise or characteristics) and their dynamics as a couple. Thanks!
Park Seonghwa tarot reading - characteristics of his future spouse
Tumblr media
-> do I have his energy permission to do and post this reading? 10 of pentacles
Tumblr media
personality
someone with a lot of life experience, maybe older than him, might call him "boy" a lot, but in a playful way. it doesn't matter how old they are, they have gone through a lot. street smart. this is someone that doesn't hold grudges oftenly, they might have difficulty solving issues and rely on him for that, to move forward, he would love to help and feel useful. they're full of energy, have a childlike wonder and influence others to be like that too, might be someone who gets bored with daily life easily, like they'd call him all the time during work to pass time. they're quite pessimistic, it seems that they have a stressful past, like family/home life and they may be apprehensive of love and connections. seonghwa would be protective of this person to the point that they would be inspired to open up to life and others, he would be a great influence to them, a turning point.
career and fame
for now, they seem to be unemployed and trying hard, by the time they marry, this person will have accumulated good money, they will be very successful in their career and well known in their field but they will become worldwide famous because of seonghwa's fans.
I think this person is or will be a streamer, like a gamer or vlogger, I see them trying recipes, new products, things like that. might be a reality show star, influencer or something similar, they won't have to work really hard to get money and stability. in the future, it seems they'll be a stay at home parent or partner.
foreigner?
I think they are a foreigner but these two will meet while one of them travels, I see mostly this person going to korea for business or school.
appearance
allegedly!!
they seem to be mixed, come from different backgrounds. they have a pointy, downward nose, weak arms, Roman ethnicity, elegant features like a statue or a high fashion model, raised eyebrows, an easy beauty (everyone agrees they're pretty), might have a big, flowy hair or wear headscarves often, may be muslim. two toned lips, natural or made with makeup. might have golden skin or blonde hair, they may look like they live on the beachside. a symmetrical and balanced face, I think they have a conservative fashion style (like jongho), big ears, light colored hair, many patterns on their clothes, expensive clothes, may not look like their age, much emphasis on hair and things they wear on it, they may style it with hats or decorate it often with flowers, tiaras, cloths, etc., beautiful and dainty hands with short nails.

All the even questions of the Edgy/misc OC ask meme for Ash please.
Tumblr media
What's something about your OC that people wouldn't expect just from looking at them?
I don't think there's much hidden about Ash, he is for the most part as he seems. Maybe that he's capable of holding grudges for a long time, since he doesn't seem the type? He appears more laid back than he really is.
When scared, does your OC fight, flee, freeze or fawn?
His default is to Freeze or Fawn. He only fights when he's angry or upset, but scared... yeeeeeah........ 😶
How easily could your OC be convinced to do something that goes against their moral compass?
Not tooooooo easily? At least, not so much nowadays. Unfortunately in a relationship that breaks down quite a bit, but otherwise he has a pretty strong set of principles.
Would your OC ostensibly be able to get away with murder?
lmao no. I think he could believe he could, in the right circumstances, but Ash would either get himself caught or just hand himself in, no way he could live with it let alone not crack under pressure.
What's an AU that would be interesting to explore with your OC?
well, he is already in my apocalypse-style AU, where he's... not that different, but also quite different lol. He's definitely a more active participant in the toxicness that is him and Loch, for one. He's less of a passive, lovesick puppy and more aware. He's not the one doing the chasing this time, and tbh, after their teen relationship, he doesn't really ever try to convince himself it's love. But he lets Loch catch him sometimes because, tbh, he doesn't really have much else.
Is your OC self-destructive? In what ways?
Yes and no. He doesn't really go out of his way to damage himself, but he allows himself to be taken advantage of, to be led into doing himself harm. And there are times when his self-worth has taken enough of a beating that he does do stupid things, like sleeping with Finn the first time just because fuck it, he'd already had a one-night stand, might as well have another right?
How does your OC want to be seen by other characters?
I don't know that he much cares what people think of him, other than as a good person I suppose.
What is your OC's pain tolerance like?
Not that high tbh, but he's not really a baby about pain either. Like if either of them is gonna be dramatic about stubbing their toe or something, it's gonna be Loch lmao.
Is your OC more cold and detached or up close and personal?
Close and personal, though only with those closest to him. He's not cold or detached with others, he's just not particularly extroverted.
Does your OC have a tendency to get jealous? If so, how does this manifest?
Yep. As we know lol. ~trust issues~ from Finn's infidelity have him freaking out over things that shouldn't be a problem, or reacting to things that shouldn't be a big deal, but he is getting much better about it.
What character alignment would you consider your OC to be?
I actually hate this question SO MUCH because the alignment chart is so fuckin RIGID and ordinary people don't really fall into such unnuanced categories, but I GUESS Neutral Good. In the sort of passively good way. Like he's not out there doing good deeds for the sake of it, but he will usually choose to be a good person when it matters.
What is an alternative life path your OC might have gone down? How different would their life be if they'd made those decisions?
Things would have gone very differently for him had he never dated Loch, but unless he found someone much like himself, I could see him getting himself hurt eventually anyway. He throws himself into relationships and puts too much of himself into them, and it's an easy thing for someone to take advantage of. Like, for example, even if he hadn't slept with Loch that one night, okay he may not have immediately jumped into bed with Finn, but... I don't know that he wouldn't have been caught in that web later down the line anyway. Finn's good at spotting an easy mark, and Ash would have presented a good target whether vulnerable at the time or not.

dating Dallas Winston head canons: wholesome edition
in my head, Dallas is a classic scorpio man who plays tough but is actually a big softy when you get close to him
Tumblr media
obviously, he's very protective and everyone knows that
but sometimes that manifests in unexpected ways like wanting you to call when you get home safe or reminding you to eat/sleep/take care of yourself
sometimes his protective side feels a touch bit controlling or overbearing, but he does it because he's terrified of something bad happening to you
he's incredibly touchy/physically affectionate in private, but not so much in public
unless someone else flirts/shows interest in you and then he has to make it clear you're with him by wrapping an arm around you
he was super private and even a little standoffish at first
but once he opened up to you, it was over. he would share anything and everything about his life and how he feels from that moment forward
underneath his tough exterior, he's actually really sensitive
he learns to recognize small changes in your mannerisms/behaviors when you're mad/sad/upset
"Why are you picking at your fingernails like that, Doll? Is something the matter?"
he also has a creative side, which most people don't know
he draws little doodles/sketches, which he loves to show you
"What do you think of this one, Doll? I think I'm getting the hang of drawing skulls!"
so you buy him a sketchbook or little notebook to draw in, which he fills with random doodles of things that remind him of you
even though he shows you a side of himself he'd never let others see, Dallas still has his faults
he holds grudges sometimes, usually over small things that don't seem important to you
his mood can change seemingly at the drop of a hat because he's always got so much on his mind
"Dally, why are you mad all of a sudden?"
"I was just thinking about that prick, Shepherd."
"Well stop it, we're about to have dinner."
when something's bothering him about your relationship or about your behavior, he's very direct about it. sometimes too direct.
"You know, Doll, it really pisses me off that you used the last of my favorite soap! That stuff's expensive, don't waste it!"
"Geez, Dal, I was just taking a shower. I'm sorry."
"Well, bring your own soap over here since you stay the night so much."
once you start sleeping over, he clears out a drawer for you in his dresser. he wants you to keep some essentials at his place so you don't have to leave so often
maybe he even goes out of his way to get tampons/period supplies or a bottle of your shampoo for you to keep at his place
he wants you to feel comfortable there, so he tries to find out what makes you feel most at home
of course you feel most at home wherever he is
but one big way that Dallas shows his love is by learning what makes you tick, even the smallest things you might not even notice about yourself
everything from how you like to be held, how you like your hair played with, what makes you feel safe, to how many times you snooze the alarm clock in the morning or which pillow is your favorite
and you do the same for him. he recognizes the effort and clearly appreciates it even if he doesn't say it
like how he loves having his head scratched when he's laying in your lap and how you scratching his back helps him fall asleep
Dallas has insomnia and doesn't fall asleep easy so he shows he appreciates it by telling you how rested he feels in the morning
he's not one for grand romantic gestures, but he'll go the extra mile if he thinks you want him to
he's really good at reading people, especially you, so he always picks up on when you want him to be more romantic or put more effort into things like dates
at the end of the day though, it's all the small things about him and all the small things he does that make you fall head over heels

Seeing onehundredandeleventropicalfish posting about Three Septembers and a January made me notice something I never did before and now I can't stop thinking about it.
For anybody who hasn't read the whole comic just in case, MASSIVE spoilers for Brief Lives and the entire end of the series below.
So we know the main plot of those issues gets kicked off by Desire and Despair wanting, as per usual, to fuck with Dream and show him up in a "who's the most powerful" contest. When Dream manages to influence Joshua Norton and Desire doesn't we get this exchange:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Dream gets smug, rubs Desire's nose in their loss, and what do they do? Instantly and explosively lose their temper, drive off in a huff, and vow to bring the Kindly Ones down on Dream's head; clearly not an idle threat as we saw from Doll's House.
But that's not what gets me, I expected this. What I didn't really notice until I took a look at this again is how different the reaction was, to Desire getting both foiled and found out by Dream in Doll's House. I mean, objectively the Joshua Norton thing is really, in the grand scheme of things, not that big a deal. Meanwhile Desire put significantly more effort into the plan to trick Dream into spilling family blood.
So, Unity showing up and taking up the cosmic bullet again for Rose, foiling that plot, should be a much more infuriating failure. But...well, just look at how they react when Morpheus calls them out.
Tumblr media
In the next panel they're even smiling. Desire doesn't seem put out much at all.
That's a...very chill reaction. Which is weird, right?
Which makes me wonder: what if Desire didn't actually want to succeed the second time? What they got so upset about the first scheme, which was just to basically "prove" who was better at influencing mortals, because it was something they actually truly wanted to achieve, but the second one would've actually killed Morpheus and deep down, whether they admit it or not, that wouldn't have satisfied them?
Now, I'm not here to like, completely woobify Desire. I find them so interesting precisely because they embody every single impulse in human nature - including the malicious ones. Desire went to incredibly great lengths to set Dream up, and he genuinely could have fallen afoul of the Kindly Ones right then and there for killing Rose. There's just no avoiding the fact that this whole thing was incredibly deliberate.
I'm not saying Desire didn't really mean it at all, necessarily. What I am saying, is that I think it's more complicated than that. And that maybe, even Desire doesn't always actually know what they really want. They truly wanted to show him up over Norton, so when they fail to get that, they get as angry as you'd expect. They think they want Dream dead but when the possibility actually comes up and is foiled Desire...just doesn't seem to have it in them to get all that upset. And when you look at their reaction upon learning Morpheus killed his son, Orpheus:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
...I just don't see how it could be more clear than that. You can't really call it theories or subtext when Desire says verbatim that they got what they may have once wanted, past tense, but now they aren't happy, they're scared.
I'm just taking it one step further and arguing it's possible that Desire hasn't actually wanted this as much as they think for a little while. I mean, this is such an incredibly proud being who holds onto minor grudges so tightly. Why wouldn't they want to be deeply dishonest with even their own self about how much they actually hated Dream?
We know already that among Desire's most distinctive qualities are: 1) their intense pride and 2) bubbling below the surface, the desperate need to be and feel in control of everything. Doll's House ends with Dream lecturing Desire on how the Endless don't, or shouldn't, actually control humans, humans shape them. And Desire immediately shuts that thought down, refuses to consider it.
Desire cannot seem to stand feeling vulnerable or weak, thus gets into constant competitions with Dream even over minor nonsense and never considers "hey, maybe you could have an ounce of chill and let this go?" Because that would mean, in their mind, letting Dream have the last word. And thus you get one or both constantly needling each other and escalating what should be minor squabbles so they blow up bigger, and bigger. It seems like a microcosm of what happened to Dream and Desire's relationship over the years.
Knowing that, is it really such a stretch to think that Desire's pride and subconscious fear of allowing themselves any true vulnerability (except with Despair) could drive them into deep denial about any feelings they find embarrassing? And what could be more humiliating and unacceptable, to Desire in this era, than having even a moment of sympathy or concern for Dream?

ok, tng update time. i'm quite behind! monday we did "deja q," tuesday we did "a matter of perspective," and then wednesday was "yesterday's enterprise."
deja q: NOT as bad as i feared but still not great. turning q into a human was a fantastic idea because in general it helps facilitate empathy when you see a character suffer, which worked a little on me, and then also i greatly enjoyed seeing him suffer because he was so annoying before, lol. guinan and worf kicking him when he was down were the best <3
another smart choice was to have data be the only one who had any sympathy for him - precisely because data's "feelings" ""can't"" be hurt and he's less likely to hold grudges. also, because data is wonderful and it's easy to get behind his cause of reforming q into some kind of functional being
AND it was good that the first time q felt shame it was because data almost died for his ungrateful fucking ass...correct response
unfortunately i still have many problems. during that section right before data's sacrifice move, all of the goodwill q generated by being fun to laugh at kind of evaporated because he was being annoying
SECONDLY, i have realized the reason i dislike q is because his main two personality traits have aged horribly. firstly is the "randumb~ XD" humor (the mariachi band at the end of this ep, the random napoleon soldiers from the other ep, his various costumes...). i think the only person who could ever do that kind of humor well was robin williams and they didn't cast him as q and also he's dead now, so knock it off. his second personality trait is that he's smarter and more powerful than anybody else in the room which he (and the people writing him) seems to think is a license to be an asshole to them, as long as it is charming assholery. think t*ony st*rk, house, bbc sh*rlock. this of course is a deeply flawed premise to begin with, but he doesn't even do it WELL. nothing about his assholery is charming. specifically i am thinking of all the "worf is dumb because he's a big brutish klingon" jokes, which are for sure fantasy racism and border on ACTUAL racism, because they're derivative of horrible antiblack stereotypes. not that q is the only source of this kind of stuff aimed at worf, but it's really damning that it's ALWAYS the first thing out of his mouth and played for laughs and made his "but worf i'm a klingon at heart too!" bit extra unfunny
anyway, bringing in a SECOND q to praise him for his "selfless" act is eeehh considering one q is already one too many and the act wasn't even that selfless. it would've been better if he said the only reason he was doing it was for data, specifically, so he could stop feeling shame - that's more genuine than trying to get me to believe he'd give himself up for that ship of people even if really what he was mostly doing was committing suicide.
nonetheless i DID really enjoy getting to see data laugh at the end. GOOD for him <3 also lmao, the moon is falling, so true. JUST like majoras mask
a matter of perspective: the one thing i don't understand here is the bit where picard is a horrible painter and then data insults his art. like yes it was funny but i thought it would have something to do with the main plot. riker sees events this way and that lady sees them this way. not unlike in the art room where everyone interpreted the nude model in a different manner!
ALSO, WHY IS THERE A NUDE MODEL. does that woman not live and work on this starship. does she not have to command respect from her coworkers the rest of the time. they didn't even do this in the holodeck where that sort of thing would have made sense!! the one time you WANT the holodeck around...
anyway, i thought this episode veered dangerously close to dud territory. trial drama is fine, even though it begs the question of why no lie detector in tng. holodeck recreation also fine in this instance, as was the murder mystery
but why ON EARTH did they feel the need to show a fake version of riker attempting to rape this lady and then have deanna go well that's the way she remembers it because i sense no dishonesty from her :) this is just the true way each of you remembers it :)
LIKE THERE IS A CANYON OF DIFFERENCE BETWEEN RIKER'S VERSION AND THAT LADY'S VERSION. it's not like they can both partially be true. in one instance she flung herself at him despite his clearly being uncomfortable and in the other he forced her despite her asking him to stop!!! like in this case what you do is believe the woman except because riker's our protagonist we know he didn't do it except they never CLARIFY that he didn't do it??? obviously i don't think for a minute that he did, but of all the fucking things to leave open...
anyway i hated it. i actually hated it more than catherine did which may be a first for tng
yesterday's enterprise: TASHA YAR?????????????????????????????
ok, the premise of this was kinda confusing at first, but i don't give a single fuck. TASHA YAR!!!!!!
i was so happy and confused to see her but the more scenes she had...man. like, ok, they did not HAVE to have her make out with this guy. even in death they will not stop doing this to her. but the whole thing where guinan was like your death was meaningless and empty in this timeline so she decides to go back and die in the past instead...GOOD for her
also, i'm a little confused on my canon - i think the battle that other enterprise went back to die in was the one that worf's parents were killed in? which is why he wasn't on the bridge because he fuckin DIED at age 6 or whatever? i guess they must have done enough good to save at least some people??
anyway, ABSOLUTELY adored this one. tasha yar redemption arc. that was the LAST thing i EVER expected to see on tng but here we are. they even made that other captain a woman although lmao in the end they refridged tasha nd this other captain. STILL. if shes gotta die let it be better than the death she got in canon. i'll miss you queen
my one gripe, aside from her boyfriend, is that she and data had a lil scene in the elevator and im mad we could not infer from it whether or not they had fucked in this timeline. rip :(
NEXT TIME: "the offspring" and "sins of the father," which is a normal title that does not at all match the title of a merlin episode i wrote a 130k coda about
