When you think of the women like the woman with the issue of blood, Naomi, Rebecca and the woman at the well. You know what they all had in common they showed up. ________________ They were all uncertain about their outcome of their situation. Nevertheless they showed up for their healing, for someone else or in obedience. God and for some God manifested in Jesus delivered them. ______________ Here's the thing none them got to the other side of their new day the next day. Some of them endured for years, months and days and still showed up. Maybe they were dishearten, discouraged and dismayed. i like not having anyone checking up on me. it's just me and here i am figuring out life as i go. i enjoy the unknown of that. i enjoy the type of faith that makes your knees shake and your eyes twitch a little bit. i have decided that i wouldn't mind this for the rest of my life. independent for better or for worse. there isn't a gaping hole in me that's desperate to be filled. there isn't this lonely ache deep down. it's me and my life. and it's one adventure to the next. if the end of that never comes, i'd be happy. and that's my comfort level. but every once in a while i will see a couple hand-in-hand, walking down the street. or i'll see a husband kiss his wife as they part ways for the day. or i'll see my friends learning about themselves and growing so much in a relationship. i'll see my parents, who after all this time, still go on fun dates. i'll see all of these things and i see a life partner. i see love in the midst of a sleepless night or a horrible day at work. i see the beauty and the difficulty in being fully independent and fully dependent at the same time. i say all this, not to tell myself or to tell you that you are lacking. i say this to remind all the women out there, like myself, who have an all-in or all-out personality: just because you've had a bad relationships, doesn't mean all relationships are bad. doesn't mean you have to rule it out for the rest of eternity. it doesn't mean you can't go on any dates anymore. it doesn't mean you have to spend holidays alone forever. you didn't miss your chance at love. you didn't. depending upon your personality, sometimes the stronger more difficult thing to do is to get your butt up and give a chance to that really killer guy. (this same lesson applies to you too, dudes). fear disguises itself as strength sometimes. but i'm moving forward and shedding that heavy layer. just keep your eyes wide and heart open. that's all i can ask of you. and from this moment forward: i'm vowing to do the same. words by @victoriaexplores #weareunveiled

Lately, I have been pouring myself. 2017 was a year that tore me and built me. I was pulled out of my comfort. It was a year that shifted me this way and shifted me that way. By the end of it all, my heart was exhausted, and every woman inside of me was tired and deflated.  _ I fell in love. And as quickly as I fell in love, I fell out of it. I dived into Jesus like never before. My position at work changed. I began college (pretty much all over again). My family went through some changes. All in that order! But within all of that, I found my overwhelmed-self on paper and realized Jesus was still better. I discovered how much writing pushed my shoulders down and diminished the strain on my forehead. I write because it is exactly what got me through myself. I’m in no way saying I’ll ever write a book, or become famous, because those aren’t my intentions here. My intention in pouring myself to you guys, is that in some way it helps you and reaches your heart strings with the same struggles and accomplishments I too face in this God given life. Through prayer, find what makes you happy, find what fills you, what helps you. Find what you enjoy doing and do it.
