Yesterday, we talked about swapping our usual list of New Year’s resolutions for the simple, yet profound desire to be more like Jesus.⁣ ⁣ Of course, the big question is, “How do I do that?”⁣ ⁣ Because, let’s be honest, that’s a heck of a lofty goal. He’s way up there *gestures at sky* and we’re way down here *gestures at ground*.⁣ ⁣ But although he’s God, Jesus didn’t set an unattainable standard while he was on Earth. In fact, he was pretty practical in how he expressed his love for God and for other people.⁣ ⁣ Rather than stressing about how we’re not exactly like the Perfect Man, here are some everyday things we can do to better align ourselves with Jesus’ example.⁣ ⁣ ❤️ Get familiar with the Word by reading the Bible⁣ 🧡 Smile and say “hi” when you meet a stranger⁣ 💛 Keep snacks in your bag to give folks on the street⁣ 💚 Say “sorry” when you know you’re wrong⁣ 💙 Thank God for taking care of you before eating⁣ 💜 Add an extra 2% when you give (or start giving!)⁣ ⁣ See? Not scary or hard, right? Don't forget your family and friends are only a phone call or video call away! I'm finding it difficult, as I know we all are, that I can't see my mom. I am very close to my mom and I'm missing my family so much. We have video called on occasion and we call each other every day. But I'm feeling that no physical contact. I want you to think about some of the choices you have made in the past.. I'm sure there are some that you wish you hadn't made... That if you had the chance of a 'do over' .. Maybe you would have done it differently.. Our choices affect our life and inevitably who we become..and they are not to be taken lightly! . Because our choices matter...the Bible speaks often of them.. Near the end of his life Moses challenged his people this way: . "This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live" (Deuteronomy 30:19). Choose life! . As Joshua was an old man and nearing death.. he reminded the people of Israel about what God had done for them.. Then he exhorted them with these words: "But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD (Joshua 24:15) . Jesus has given us the free will to choose.. Today I encourage you to seek Gods wise counsel always so you are guided by Him when making decisions for your life.. Teach me to pray

As believers, we “know” prayer is powerful. But do we believe it? Head to the heart. Are we praying BOLD prayers in our secret place? With quiet trust resting in the knowledge that God is faithful and will do what He says He will.

Do our actions align with this knowledge of prayer? I know mine haven't, but that is changing.

I have questioned what prayer should look like...corporate and personal. It seemed to me that sometimes we use more words than necessary. And more often than not, our own words versus God’s. This led me to search the scriptures for any verse containing this topic. Seeking insight into how it should look in my own life.

Recently, the Lord brought to my attention the varying types of prayers. One of these being the Apostolic Prayer Model. We pray this model under the Truth that Christ is seated in heavenly places. As His bride, we too are seated with Him and co-heirs. Out of that glorious realm of fullness, we can release something over the people we have a heart for! I long to play my part in bringing the Kingdom of Heaven down to Earth.

Starting this Sunday, I am going to post one Apostolic Prayer from scripture to focus on for the week. Follow along if you’d like to pray + meditate on these powerful prayers.

✨"I will never change, but I'll never stay the same either." - Taylor Swift ✨26 was quite the year. It definitely wasn’t the year I had in mind but rather a quite eventful yet dramatic one. I found myself on emotional rollercoasters, tons of drama would just creep up on me unexpectedly and I felt like I was being thrusted by the wind in all different directions, trying to stand my ground. More than anything I’m so thankful that God pulled through in countless and endless ways, as He took me out of dire situations and placed me in safe places yet reminding me how my dreams matter. He’s so faithful even when the journey of life is rough and His love was constant especially in moments when I felt like crumbling. I’m thankful to have turned 27, to leave all that’s behind me as I step into a new age/ new era full of healing and embracing freedom like never before.
