There were, who knows why, some artichokes and cheese, and I, of course, chose the latter. And then I sat outside, under the olive tree that never borrowed us a single olive but grants us a sun shelter every year because I knew the idyllic scene would lure company. Difficult times ahead

Today, in the midst of one of the worst infections I’ve had with my skin in recent years, I am so in awe and thankful to God. I’m thankful that after 10 months of feeling awful and not myself at all that I finally have an answer. I’m thankful that He pulled me through when I felt low about myself and freed me of insecurity, reminding me that there is so much more to me than my appearance. I am thankful for the strength that the Lord gave me, to let me finish my college course without getting too ill to do so. Like all of us would be, I am upset that it took me so long to get a diagnosis but things can only get better now. I’m already finding the treatment difficult because of the side effects but knowing I have God in my corner is a huge comfort. I am so in awe of the blessings He has placed upon my life over the last few months. It has shown me that when you give the battle to God, the battle is already won!
