When Izuku Midoriya needed saving, it was Katsuki, Todoroki, and Iida who went rocketing across the sky to reach him.

Both times, our Twin Stars decided to set their own needs aside and allow the other’s trusted friend to take the lead in bringing them home. Izuku knew Kirishima was the right choice to get Katsuki away from the league quickly and safely, and Katsuki knew Iida was the better man for the job of catching up to Izuku and bringing him back.

Can we please just take a moment to appreciate the parallels. Please.

I don’t think it makes sense to assume that Jason was mocking Mia’s past. At all. The thing that got jason painted as violent back in the 80s was his anger against rapists…how does that turn into mocking a victim? and that entire story was written by winick. Do we honestly think winick intended to communicate that? The same writer who made Jason’s first kill a man who was trafficking children? Who had Jason pause in his mission of madness to make sure those kids were found by the right people so they wouldn’t be in further danger?

Something from one of my more casual things I work on. This one is for my winx club future/next gen au

Riven here is related to the largest coven of witches in the magic dimension, Magica. His grandmother was Magica’s matron witch, the lady in charge. The way the coven works is that direct female descendants of the matron get first dibs at being the next matron. Riven does have two cousins who had dibs but they asked for Riven to try for the position to make the original pick between the two cousins more interesting. Neither of these cousins really wanted the spot as much as Riven proved he did so they released their claims to make Riven matron. These cousins now act as his right hands and do most of the fun public sightings for the coven. Since matron witch is a female position, it’s a secret that Riven holds the position. He uses that creepy cloak and stays completely covered when acting as matron in public.

In this lore I’ve set up, witch covens are an almost secret sort of tradition just now coming back into public knowledge. Magica is a good several hundreds of years old and there’s a handful of other covens just as old. Witches are usually seen as solitary but coven witches will tell you it’s because “modern” witch education encourages witches to work alone and sabotage each other for power. By now, the Realms see witch covens as pretty influential groups and may ask for input based on the generational knowledge these covens cultivate.

#the thing about romance that actually gets me #is that somehow it is the most direct connection to the love of God #for me #and I know mostly we speak about God’s love in terms of familial love or friendship and of course it is all of that #but romance is so unnecessary and so complete and so piercing and direct #at its root what it is #And Tim Riggins man. #he just pulls back the veil #and lets you see what unconditional unselfish complete love looks like #and it’s breathtaking! and it makes me cry #and with him and Lyla it isn’t the usual balance of a dynamic that’s selling it #because she IS the worst and she is rejecting love in favor of her girlboss villainous little aims #she just also wants Tim occasionally as a treat and as something to use for her own ends #and I don’t ship it at all #And not for a second does it make his love less beautiful #it’s also such a moment because when he says it there is this struggle that passes over her face #and Minka Kelly isn’t a good actress! But in that moment she is. She can’t help it #Kitsch has simply drawn back the veil and forced her to look on the face of love and the reaction is this brief struggle #between her humanity and her ambition #and the ambition wins but it’s such a cold soulless pitiful little victory #and it’s just. I cry every single time I watch it which is a lot because I’m always rewatching it #friday night lights
