#mine #boston #mount auburn #washington tower #I almost lost my life on those steps going up #on the way down there was a couple walking around and I heard the footsteps …. #and ran #besides the light from the window pictured above it’s PITCH black in there #idk how I’ve lived this long #but that poor couple didn’t deserve the yell or it’s echo hahah #we all got to the bottom half in fear half dying laughing #I do too much #but I make ppl laugh so it’s ok #I thought we were alone and it was getting dark out! #anyways I love it up there #perfect for moonrises sunsets and leaves changing #and can see my lil chapel #and walking around the gardens in the fog is always a vibe

Next Depot by TIA INTERNATIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY Via Flickr: Seattle, Washington, USA. Please enjoy a long exposure photograph featuring some exciting light trails produced by the traffic that flowed past me that evening. My fascination with light trails was what originally catapulted me into night-time photography several years ago, on a very cold night in Gastown in Vancouver. I’ll never forget that moment as I ultimately think it’s what led to everything I’ve done in photography and the people I have met since, including many of you. If some of you are familiar with the Gwyneth Paltrow movie, “Sliding Doors”, I think my discovery of light trails was my “Do I get on the train or off the train?” moment in photography. I think I’m still on the train, traveling to as many destinations as possible, always waiting for the next depot. I don’t create such photographs nearly as often anymore, so this image is essentially a tribute (and personal reminder) to why I love and continue to experiment with photography. Build for the 1962 World’s Fair in Seattle, the Space Needle is the tallest structure where one can take in views of the city.  The tower itself was built to withstand winds of up to 200mph and up to a 9.0 magnitude earthquake.  The observation deck has great views and the rotating restaurant at the lower level gives guests a place to sit down and grab a bite.  It typically takes 45 minutes to complete a full rotation but at max speed, it can do it in about 20 minutes. Alternately, it can also slow down the rotation so that it would be a full 90 minutes to complete a cycle.
