My piece from the sketch hangout at Clarke Quay with visiting sketcher friends... Clarke Quay will always have a special place on my heart as it was home for the first 4 years of my life. Somehow I remember things quite vividly even though I was so small then. It’s always a trip down memory lane whenever I visit... it’s not the chic riverfront it is today, but there is a lot that I miss about the old Clarke Quay of the ‘70s... today even with the colorful facades, to me it lacked the character it once had. Random fact: Our Dad had various "things" that he was passionate about it. One of those things was to take random pictures of me and my sister in front of Christmas trees. ANOTHER WALK DOWN MEMORY LANE FOR EVERYONE TO ENJOY! 😍 Awe I was only 8 years old in this picture, it was a mini recliner chair and I hardly could sit in it, but yet I loved it cause it was a chair that was just my size and was just like the ones adults would sit in (at least that’s what my 8 year old brain thought) lol. As you all know I lay flat. This position right here was the closest I ever came to sitting up and as you can see it was still padded with pillows to hold me up, and even with the pillows and lamb skin I could still only sit in this position for a few minutes at a time, but I forced myself to continue to try for years just because I loved the look of the chair lol.
