Can you tell us more about anchors? Just some informations you haven't already give us before? (Also, i don't remember reading about anchors until s3, was it mentioned before at s1 and s2? I've read it all before but can't remember, guess it's time for a reread)

I don't think they go into great depth. I feel like Rahim talks about it and Sydero has talked about it.

I don't think there's much to give besides what I have already said. Anchors are only needed for certain hybrids that have the ability to lean to one side of the other (mostly those with human/witch versus something else). An exception is Amari as she cannot lean more vampire than werewolf, it's literally just she's using her abilities or not. So she doesn't need one. Another would be a siren who is a vampire/mermaid hybrid and have no need for one as they don't lean more vampire or mermaid.

Anchors are used to keep one balanced but that is not the one thing needed to keep them balanced, it's more like a reminder to come back to a happy place. It's usually to bring one back from the extreme, non-human side due to reminding them of their mortal ties. Those with empathy powers usually kind of draw from their anchor to help with balancing which is one reason Rahim and Syd don't try and have the same anchor. You can have one or multiple, they're basically those who you trust entirely and have close ties to.

Murder OC Week Day 2- The Public

Does the public know about your murder oc, do they know they kill people, how do they act around others, and do they have friends?

Day 2 prompt by @murder-oc-week!

The only murder OC of mine who's known to the general public is Epiphany because she's heiress to both Castillo Hotels and Q-Level Software. They definitely don't know she kills people, prior to the start of the story she was involved in 2 recent kills carried out by her bodyguards who were able to claim reasonable defense of others, and only one kill was carried out by her personally, which was heavily covered up with the help of Oscar, another of her bodyguards. She's known for being flirtatious but not particularly warm or caring, and easily angered. She knows a lot of other socialites and celebrities but honestly she doesn't have any true friends.

Wasei has a devoted following on OnlyFans to the point people occasionally recognise him in the street, but not overly famous. He doesn't really choose to kill, and in terms of the Human Nature universe I don't think he has never actually killed anyone. If someone were to open him up in any way and get to his heart they could be in for a nasty surprise though. Was is very annoying, mostly from a desperate need for attention, and not everyone can tolerate being around him for very long, but he can be endearing at times, so he does have a few friends, mostly online. In the end of the story he becomes good friends with Hope, with Phi and Azazel semi-tolerating him.

Jevaun is semi-known amongst the supernatural hunting community, if someone's looking for a vampire hunter especially he's going to be in the top 10 or so names they come across. In that sense, he's the only one whose kills are widely known about, obviously not to the cops but to many, many people who have hired him. He's actually a very warm and caring person in his private life; he has quite a lot of friends (one of these is Rahim), he had a husband, Leander, who unfortunately passed away from lung cancer a couple of years prior to the story, and he also has a now adult child.

Azazel's trial in heaven was a fairly famous case, if only because it mirrored his namesake so strongly. As for on earth, he got pretty famous amongst the Expiation Baptist Church, (a cult made in his name ran by some of @snail-eggs's OCs) to the point they mob and worship him like obsessive fans whenever they catch him. He's not killed prior to the start of the story but many have been killed in his name. If he was to kill the angels would know straight away. Azazel is terrified of everything and unfortunately even when he gets to know someone, he's never going to be the most talkative, and they're not necessarily well-versed in human ways, though they're essentially a kind person at heart. Again, he becomes part of a friend group with Hope, Wasei and Phi.

Theo was "campus famous" in college because he was the bassist in a band that often played at student events, other than that, he's not well known. He has killed a few people prior to the story; the ex of someone he was obsessed with in college (framed as suicide), his fiancee and her lover(thought to be guilty but dismissed as no evidence) and someone who tried to stop him getting to MC(thinking along the lines of a doorman to their building, so far he's covered his tracks carefully enough to not get caught). Theo is initially shy but can be a little too intense once you get to know him. He doesn't really have any friends, which is fine with him as he tends to just attach to one person and obsess over them(looking at you, MC!).

Rahim is rich but he's only really known in certain circles. He already came from a privileged background, becoming a college professor at an impressively young age. But his father also gave him some of his shares in a family friend(Dalian Quintana, Epiphany's father)'s software business, which got him interested in shares and stocks, where he did very well and now he rarely teaches. So he's met a lot of famous people but most people wouldn't know who he is. He's known amongst his friends as a philanthropist who helps people he comes across on the streets and "turning their lives around", so it's not treated as very suspicious when some do die in his care. He's generally known as a nice guy who can sometimes act a little standoffish or downright weird partially because his CIPA leads him to various unusual behaviours. Most of his friends are from a group for those who've lost a spouse, one of them being Jevaun.

Xylophia might technically be vaguely known of by some but overall they're not famous, and she hasn't really killed before the start of the story; they would only really kill if they had to. He's very adventurous and sociable and has a lot of friends, though her preference is always to talk 1-on-1 so they can have a deeper, more honest conversation.

Hope is definitely not famous on any account. She's definitely killed at least one person prior to the start of HN, but it was their only way out of the murder time loop they were stuck in. They've also had kills that were rewritten by the timeline so essentially never happened. Hope is initially shy and awkward much like Azazel, who they're close with and have a huge crush on, but beneath the surface they're significantly less innocent than him. Once they know someone well enough they have an intelligent, sarcastic sense of humour and are very loyal. They don't have many friends but again, they eventually find a group of three others she's very attached to... or maybe four...?

Because of course, all of these characters have the ability to get attached to MC too!

Is all truly peaceful in New York, or has the town found it's newest Phantom Thief?

Dearest and Kindest readers, in regards to your thirst for the latest; I do apologize for my lacking. A Lady has much to do, but upon returning to this pen and paper, I find every time I turn my back there is more bustling about than ever. So, without further a do...

The Gala of the town was such a crash you could say it knocked your stockings off! Or rather, off your feet, and then crushed you with a falling 600 pound chandelier from a two story high building ceiling. Because that is exactly what happened to no-luck, Lucas Hamilton Laurens (@previously-bookie), the town's museum exhibit curator! Sorrows, sorrows, prayers. One must question if this was all a ploy for the guilty party? Possibly the dearest hosts of such dances, @the-dazzling-rahim, or perhaps @kitty-livingston herself?

Worry not! Possibly the most depressing man you have ever laid your eyes upon, you would assume you had been thrown into a Gothic Victorian novel at the mere sight — @sincerely-edevane is on the case. One must question his reliability... as he seems to be more enjoying - perhaps a bit too much 👀 - the sadistic thrill of the chase rather than actually capturing the Mastermind. As reports claim he was seen grinning ear to ear at the sight of a million dollar chandelier broken to shards, that worked as a successful distraction to sway eyes from the vacant pedestal where Livingston's beloved diamond once stood. Perhaps that goes to explain as to why his strangely designed pocket watch - claimed to have been a gift from his Uncle Ronald - was found at the next crime scene only days later! The skull of a T. Rex display located in the center of the museum was also stolen!

According to sources such as the museum exhibit curator's own assistant and sassy lost child, @cicero-defacto, it was a fine early morning when an exhibit from west of the museum had gone off with alerts, once again stealing everyone's attention. Only for them to find nothing, and return to a missing fossil skull. It is said the security in charge of cameras has gone missing too. Thief, attempted murderer, and kidnapper? What doesn't happen in this town? It just so happens that the Dick's (slang for detective, of course *wink wink*) own watch was found at the crime scene. Police have taken it as evidence.

Worry not, the skull was then returned right as the dear curator was released from the hospital as if it had never been stolen. It is said that the Phantom Thief is playing the puppeteer, toying with all the townsfolk like marionette dolls for a good laugh. I suppose this is the effect of writer strikes and no good media being produced, we have resorted to making ourselves the media. Oh, the humanity!

Just now, it has been learned that a young Columbia student - who has an awful reputation on this paper - @coribennett and @the--investigation--team are also on the case! So much for Detective Eeyore working all alone.

With the newest band of the town being said to have stood next to the diamond — a man with rumors of being with criminal business and a vampire — and a Detective now a possible suspect for his own case — Who can we trust?

Upon the next bundle of rumors, shall I appear once more. Gossiping is amongst us, and I find it my duty to reveal it upon us.

Déjà dans Napoléon 2, on se rend compte que le père d’Hardin n’est plus joué par Peter Gallagher (Andy Cohen pourquoi es-tu parti ?) mais par Rob Estes et que la mère de Landon n’est plus jouée par Jennifer Beals mais par Karimah Westbrook. Nous verrons également beaucoup de changements dans Napoléon. En commençant par Candice King et Charlie Weber : les deux acteurs ne seront plus Kim et Christian Vance.

L’actrice que nous avons appris à aimer dans The Vampire Diaries comme Caroline est enceinte de son deuxième enfant ! Sa grossesse l’empêche donc de retourner sur le plateau pour filmer Napoléon. Candice sera remplacée par Arielle Kebbel que nous avons déjà vu dans The Vampire Diaries: : Il s’agit de Lexi, le meilleur ami de Stefan ! Charlie sera remplacé par Stephen Moyer. Aussi Selma Blair, qui joue la mère de Tessa, est remplacée par Mira Sorvino. En plus de toutes ces modifications, il y a aussi une nouvelle arrivée : Carter Jenkins, qui jouera Robert, le potentiel amoureux de Tessa.

Is any type of hybrid possible or are there certain ones who aren’t? Like could a demon and an angel have a kid or is that not possible with them being complete opposites in a way, and if they are possible what would and what wouldn’t affect a balanced one

There are certain hybrids that are impossible. For example werewolf x mermaid will yield absolutely nothing while a vampire x mermaid will yield a siren. A demon and angel CAN have a child but they would both have to be possessing humans and said human would have to be able to live through such a union for the child to be born. It's a lot and though not impossible, pretty hard to actually get. And as soon as that child is born, everything will be hunting it so it might not live long enough.

It wouldn't be human balanced whatsoever so it would literally just be angel to demon balanced. Obviously staying in the middle is ideal to possess both powers. and trying to go from angel-leaning to demon-leaning would be one of the hardest thing to do since that mindset is not just a mindset and is more like a ... pressure? I don't know how to word it but think of how Rahim was in the Underworld and how he couldn't really fight the angel side of him. It happened and it stayed that way for a while until back on Earth.

Random headcanons I have about the islanders that don’t belong anywhere

Camilo watches a TON of anime. Like… To the point where it’s the only entertainment media he consumes. He also has zero shame about it/doesn’t know that people think it’s cringey

Gary has a quote from Ron Swanson or Michael Scott (specifically the ‘“you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take” -Wayne Gretzky -Michael Scott’) on his Tinder profile

Seb likes big titty goth girls and milfs, exclusively. He and Viv vibe because she has a really patronizing way of treating him (and uh… tibbies *pleading emoji*). The big vampire lady from Resident Evil? He’s in love and honestly the same.

Shannon has horrible spring allergies. Like ‘stay inside with an air filter, can’t set foot in a park’ allergies. Like ‘eyes swell shut welcome to sinus hell’ kind of allergies.

Shannon is bi and loves going to strip clubs. That’s like… Her go-to Friday night plan. She doesn’t buy private dances very often, and prefers to just spend all her cash on the different girls working the floor and doing sets. Real Sassy from Black Ink vibes.

When doing drugs or the nasty, Yasmin has to turn little Yasmin around or cover her eyes.

Lily bites her fingernails down to the point of them bleeding

Priya despises ballet flats (she loudly will declare that they’re bad for your feet, stinky, and above all else ugly) and doesn’t own a single pair. She insists that any outfit that can be paired with flats look better with heels, sandals, or boots. She assumes everyone else shares this belief and will lowkey scoff (or at the very least be surprised) at her besties for wearing them. She’d never make fun of someone, but she just takes it for a matter of fact that everyone dislikes flats.

Priya loves a good bubble bath and definitely posts aesthetic bath pictures of her bath table, candles, bath bomb/salts/mixes, music, etc.

Priya collects all her spare change throughout the year and puts it into a glass jar, and around christmas time she finds someone in need and gives it to them. It’s usually like $400-$600 in change. After she realizes how inconvenient giving change is, she still collects change but at the end of the year brings it to a bank to exchange for bills.

I am in love with Priya.

Lucas is REALLY good at roller skating. He’ll never bring it up, or ask to go unprompted. So I’m picturing MC and him dating/married, going to a nephew/niece’s birthday party at the roller rink, and out of nowhere Lucas is revealed to be this graceful and masterful skater. Maybe it was from playing hockey growing up or maybe he’s born with it.

Lucas coped really poorly with all the attention in the wake of Love Island. He didn’t really consider how often people would recognize him or how much fans would seek him out to proposition him. Unless he won with MC and stays with her, he regrets going on the show (that is until 20 years later when he reconnects with Henrik and they start dating).

Noah has an amazing singing voice. It’s deep, and he has a good ear for harmonies.

Rahim grew up with his family taking him to the gun range, so he knows how to handle a weapon. He’s very knowledgeable about makes, models, and safety, and probably owns at the very least a rifle and a handgun.

Rahim has a TERRIBLE yoda impression that he thinks is genuinely good.

Talia has a terrible Bill Hader impression that she knows is awful. She does it frequently to annoy her friends. In general, her sense of humor is just about being annoying- puns, bad impressions, impulsive physical comedy, all done with both irony and earnestness.

Rohan goes through a jewelry phase where he accessorizes every outfit with some kind of necklace (often multiple), and his go-to look is some kind of sweater with a silver necklace over it. Definitely has one ear pierced, if not both.

Genevieve is lowkey addicted to reality tv- her favorites are Real Housewives and any kind of cooking competition- and that’s what inspired her to sign up for LITG.

Marisol gives amazing massages. It’s a point of pride for her. She’ll go off on people trying to use lotion instead of oil and will always slyly suggest massages in the bedroom.

Jake doesn’t cook a lot of spicy foods, but being able to eat extremely spicy things is a huge point of pride for him. He would ABSOLUTELY go on Hot Ones after Love Island, and that would be the only talk show esque interview he’s willing to do.

Hannah hate hate HATES those foam things they put between your toes when you get a pedicure.
