Ziolet Kiddo Refs!!! Varina Edition!

I decided it’s finally time to post the refs for Zach Varmitech and my OC Violet’s children! In total, Zach and Violet have 5 children! Varina, Vera, Victor, Vallen, and Victoria! Ahhh, I know that’s a lot, but I’m living vicariously through them, and I feel like Zach’s the type of guy that, once he has a child, would want more and more, lol. And Violet’s happy to oblige: She absolutely loves being a mommy!

So without further ado, here is their oldest child/daughter Varina!

Varina Virginia Varmitech

This is long, so I’m placing the rest below the cut, please note there is mention of pregnancy, stillbirth, premature birth, open heart surgery, and loss of child in this reference.

The Basics:

Birthday: May 31st, 2015 (born six weeks early, was due around July 17th).

A Rainbow After A Storm: Varina is Violet and Zach’s honeymoon baby and rainbow baby. They had a stillborn daughter, Alexandria, in July of 2014, so they were not expecting to have another child so soon after this loss. But they decided to start trying for another baby after their wedding ceremony in October of 2014 and…Violet and Zach found out they were having Varina the day of the Annual Villains Meeting (AKA, the Under Frozen Pond Episode)! Thanks to some deductive reasoning from Gourmand and Donita, lol.

Name Meaning: Varina - Strange, yet to be discovered; Virginia - Pure. Named for the fact that she was a pure, unexpected gift. After losing their first daughter, Alexandria, Zach and Violet never thought they’d become parents, but parenthood found them through the unexpected arrival of Varina! She was also given her middle name of Virginia after Violet (Violet Virginia) and Violet’s mother (Virginia).

Nicknames: Vari (Used by Zach, Martin, and her siblings); Sweet Peach (Used by Gourmand)…More to be added?

Physical Features:

Hair Color/Type: Dark Brown, she gets caramel colored highlights in it as she gets older; her hair is long, nearly waist length, it is naturally wavy/has lose curls. She prefers to style it in braided buns, braids, regular buns, or ponytails.

Eye color/ Shape: Blue-Violet, almond shaped - She emphasizes the color with purple eye makeup like her mother Violet.

Signature Colors: Purple and Gray

Style: Girly, preppy, feminine.

Height: 5’2” - She’s petite like her mom, but she is two inches taller than Violet.

She has Violet’s face structure: a muted triangle, she has Violet’s lips. She has Zach’s nose, she has pierced ears, she has a mixture of Violet’s and Zach’s builds, and she has a scar in the center of her chest from the open heart surgery she had shortly after her birth. She has a fair skin tone that is somewhere in between her father’s and mother’s. As a child she had freckles.

Personality/ Relationships:

Personality: Sassy, snarky, sweet, intelligent, bright, observant, devoted, determined, detail oriented. Varina has Zach’s temper and Violet’s spunky attitude and heart. She’s never afraid to stand up for what she believes, and she won’t take no for an answer when she believes deeply in something.

Relationships With Family: She’s a total daddy’s girl, she’s also a mommy’s girl; she is an excellent and loving big sister to all of her siblings. She takes on more of a friendship role with Vera and more of a protective and caring role with her brothers and Victoria. She acts as a second mother to all of her siblings quite often, leading them to get aggravated with him and tease her about being a second mom to them.

Love Interest/Future Family: JJ Z @rosey100’s OC who is the son of Jimmy Z and Koki. I feel like she and JJ marry and become parents at some point, but I’m unsure of what children they have together, any suggestions @rosey100? I initially headcanoned that she became a young/teen mother, but I’m not so sure anymore. If it did happen, I feel like it would make Zach have a heart attack, but he’s wrapped around her finger so he deals with it and love the baby 💜.

Talents/Career:

Special Talents/ Future Career: Varina is very intelligent like her parents, but her skill set is more in tune with Violet’s. Varina is a talented singer, dancer (ballet is her specialty), and pianist like Violet. She thrives academically in every subject, but prefers history, literature, business, and the sciences, particularly, environmental, biology, and zoology based courses. She graduates Valedictorian of her high school class and maintains a 4.0 GPA throughout college. Varina ends up becoming the joint CEO of Varmitech Industries, along with her brother Victor, following Zach’s passing.

A Few of Her Favorite Things:

Christmas is her favorite holiday, she loves everything about the Christmas season, she also enjoys Halloween.

She typically consumes a vegetarian diet, loving fruits, vegetables, bread, and sweets, but she will eat fish, seafood, and white meat occasionally.

Music: Taylor Swift, Michael Jackson, Elton John, AURORA, Lindsey Stirling, Oh Wonder, The Greatest Showman Soundtrack, Halsey, and Melanie Martinez (she’s got her mother’s music taste) are among her favorites.

Animals/Nature: She love all animals, but her favorites are elephants, bears, foxes, butterflies, cats, giraffes. She also loves all types of flowers and being out in nature during any season, but spring and summer are her favorite seasons. She becomes a Wild Kratts kid early on.

She loved Winnie the Pooh as a child, and other classic Disney animated movies and shows, like Kim Possible, all the princess movies, and any of the movies about animals (Aristrocats, The Rescuers, etc.)

The version of Varina listed in this post is exclusive to my Wild Violet AU. @trin-draws-art has a younger (teen) version of Varina included in her Kids on the New Block Au (KOTNB) . In this AU, Varina has much of the same attitude, but her look is a bit different, and she has a different love interest, @trin-draws-art OC Marissa Kratt. after hearing the pitch on your main blog, and scrolling far enough to see the tags you were putting on some posts, i am very intrigued about the everything that is going on (especially with emily) so could i get a brief rundown of the everything pls n thanks you

i spent forever trying to figure out how to tell a "brief" version of this story and this is how i settled on doing it. keep in mind this is the brief version and if you want in depth explanations/analysis on specific parts of the story i IMPLORE you to ask me about it because there is just no way for me to say everything i want to here and I STILL had to omit some details for brevitys sake. ok

content warnings: death. physical abuse. emotional abuse. verbal abuse. violence. implications of sexism. implications of misogyny. body horror. child death. child endangerment. talk of drug addiction. talk of alcoholism. obsession. stalking. kidnapping.

two fucked up siblings [paige jensen, pierre jensen] make a company (regrowth) and make cyborgs about it. first one they make runs away but the data they're still getting from it reveals their tech works like.. extraordinarily well with plant life? they build a tech empire off of this idea. they continue making cyborgs as well but the brother has so much guilt about the first go round he refuses any part in it (but still allows it to happen. his sister is the only reason he has any semblance of power, after all.) the sister continues running new experiments regarding combat and medicine and anti-aging and etc etc with her technology on a variety of subjects-- some willing, some unwilling, some already dead before they could say something either way. notable cases include toni finnigan, a terminally ill woman who engages with the project as a last resort and considers herself indebted to the siblings as a result; neil marshall, a young boy who accidentally saw the siblings first attempt to procure that first subject which went horribly ary and got the wrong guy (who was neils father); emily jyung, the scientist overseeing much of the cyborg testing at paiges discretion who decides she can't live with what she's done and seen and submits herself to the process in order to find atonement; holly pendleton, a girl who signed up for a very simple consumer test, took a wrong turn, and found paige jensen elbow deep in some poor guys chest cavity; and vallen rosamel, an addict and thief who makes the great decision of trying to hit on pierre jensen on absolutely the wrong night. pierres inferiority complex keeps him where he is in his position of power even though the weight of the cyborg project and his involvement is slowly crushing him and paiges fear of failure has her spending more and more time on it in a desperate attempt to make something of herself since pierre (charismatic. likeable. dude) gets all the credit for her (brash. awkward. woman) innovations.

meanwhile in like........ summer 2000 that first runaway cyborg falls into the backyard of this scientist with a really bad caretaker complex named francesca (i never call her francesca/frankie tbh i call her fizzle) who sees this thing with cracked glowing eyes and vines crawling out of its arms and goes oh. okay. and takes it in and starts fixing it up-- culling the plant that's affixed itself to this person's core and repairing the technology and finally fitting a voicebox onto it because it can't speak. this person(?) then relays that it has no idea who it is or where they came from, just that there were two people and this impending sense that they needed to leave, now. because of their lack of memories, they decide on a new name for them and they choosd Cherry, after the type of plant thats now in their systems. cherry uses he/she/they pronouns because fizzle (trans woman) asks him about it and she's like Oh. Um. Good question. Let's... find out? and so they use all pronouns and then never change that because those work well enough.

cherry adjusts well enough but they're really frustrated with their lack of memories because they don't even know if they consented to the process or not, they don't know if they had a family, they don't know what they left behind and what's waiting for them or who's looking (side note-- the only thing that feels any bit of familar are songs. something something foreshadowing something something playlist thats a work in progress). it doesn't help that the time they spent between escaping and coming across fizzle consisted of a lot of people being terrified of them and looking to hurt them (one guy literally shoots them like?? two days before they find fizzle????) so she's got this crushing sense that she's missing a fundamental part of herself that makes her able to be """human"""-- or, at least, accepted by humans. and she decides that whatever that is was probably lost along with her memories. so that really bothers them.

anyways a good bit of time passes and then they start picking up this high pitched frequency and fizzle can't fix it nor figure out the source of it so cherry just has to deal with Robot Tinnitus for a little bit. but they figure out that the frequency changes depending on how far / close they get to... whatever the hell the source is. so they wait till dark and they go out and Follow It, and it lands them at this dingy little nightclub juuust in time to watch someone stagger into the alleyway holding their head like they're in pain. or maybe hearing something very very loud. so cherry slowly approaches as the frequency gets louder and louder and more painful and boop! connection found.

the person she's founds name is vallen rosamel and shit has been WEIRD for him as of late. his hair started growing in a different color about four months ago the plants do that just roll with it, all of the substances he was taking just quit working one day, and theyre having longer and longer gaps in their memory every day. and now there's this SCREAMING in their EARS and oh my god. who the fuck are YOU. so after a lot of confusion and a lot of gentle explaining they figure out that vallens the same thing cherry is. which begs a LOT of fucking questions like What's up with that frequency. Who is making them. How is he just out and about. which are all very very important questions but cherry is so excited to FINALLY FIND SOMEONE LIKE THEM that they forget that for a little bit lmao. but cherry convinces vallen to let their friend do a couple of tests (which are very limited. bc the kind of plant vallens got is a citrus fruit and fizzle has a citrus allergy lmao) and what they figure out is that while cherrys got... like... a fourth of a human brain and LED eyes and cybernetic legs and a cybernetic arm and no digestive system and oh yeah NO MEMORIES, vallens got like. some brain, eye, and digestive modifications. and that's about it. the only thing he can't remember are those aforementioned memory gaps as well as however they came about being a cyborg too. sorry cherry but you haven't exactly found someone like you :( and vallen is like okay I want nothing to do with this. no ones gonna fuckin believe me so i may as well just try to live my life the way i have been (spoilers: that life's not good!) and cherry kind of talks to him for a bit. says she understands how confusing and frustrating it all is. but is also like Man you are my ONE HOPE of figuring out what happened to me can you even just CONSIDER sticking around just long enough for me to know you can't tell me anything new. and vallens like ff. fine. anyways that turns into 1 to three years I haven't decided yet. vallen and cherry (and fizzle) are kind of gay about it. it's fine don't worry about that.

anyways eventually Shit Goes Down. vallen gets activated by some other force, stops responding whatsoever, knocks cherry the fuck out and takes fizzle down too when she tries to stop them. all three of them end up in regrowth. uh oh.

cherry gets confronted by paige who has this whole speech but the basics of it are:

-she purposefully sent vallen out into the world in an attempt to find cherry. was going to just kill them originally but decided to let them linger in case she could ever Use Them for her own purposes and apparently that time has come

-never took direct control of vallen-- any connections they've made with him are more than likely genuine because paige can't handle social manipulation like her brother can-- but she was certainly keeping tabs and certainly knows a couple of things even if she doesn't say it directly (like the fact she's calling cherry 'cherry' and not. whatever his name was before. hm.)

-apparently paige has discovered some shit about pierre that 1. she thinks will DEFINITELY bring cherry onto her side and 2. has made her decide that pierre has to go NOW

-"you can either help me or ill just kill you/wipe your memories and return you to testing" and "you can either get revenge on one of us or lose to both of us" as her main points

cherry is having none of this. breaks the fuck out of her containment and runs rampant through the facility, breaking shit, knocking people out, runs into pierre at one point who just stares at her and calls him a name that........... isnt "Cherry" before she just sprints the hell away, up until he 1. locks himself in an old lab, 2. modifies her cybernetic arm by hand to attach a blaster weapon onto it (painful), and 3. escapes into a vent and finds himself in all the backparts of the facility. ends up seeing more cyborgs during testing and is like Holy shit how many people have they done this to. these people need to go home.

keeping this part brief bc the rest of this will also.... not be. I promise I'm telling the brief version here. cherry finds vallen (has to fight him. doesn't want to. does it anyway.) and gets him out of paiges control via dropping a fucking light fixture on him and shortcircuting him a bit. they find fizzle. they go from the lower parts of the facility where the projects been held up to the company building bc they figure out the servers are there and if Cherry can get into those she can find the other bots' memories (and hopefully enough info to incriminate regrowth?), free those, and get them out of there. they get up there and the buildings been evacuated which makes finding the servers much easier. cherry parses the information and also figures out her memories aren't there + her file is mostly redacted. but theres that name again! the one pierre called him!! and if the memories aren't there then. where are they.

sorry no time to dwell on that bc more cyborgs attack! cherry, fizzle, vallen get them their memories back which overwrites their protocols. good news; thats all the active cyborgs left in the building (gonna give u names right quick-- holly (foxglove), mara (hellebore), enzo (chestnut) ) cherry is like we gotta find you guys an exit. as they do so cherry comes across pierres office and is like......... hey. yall go ahead. i need to. check something. fizzle and vallen are like 🤨 but they're like okay. please be careful. and they Go.

this is the part of the story where I advise you to look at the content warnings up above very carefully

so cherry goes into pierres office and starts rummaging around, looking under placemats and taking apart photo frames n stuff, looking to the password to his computer. she finds some stuff-- other passwords, checks, an image of a girl?, but eventually she just says "fuck it," plugs into it, breaks through the password screen, looks through the files and THATS where she finds her memories. finally. after all this time.

so cherry hides under the desk and downloads all of it. all at once. don't worry about that too much right now but this is a disorienting, horrifying experience for cherry to say the least. and as if the memories themselves aren't bad enough cherry is like... why did he know that name but paige didn't. why were they on his computer. why... was a picture of me... behind one of the photo frames.... on his desk .......

and then the door creaks. and pierre sees them. and explains his side of things. we'll revisit that in a bit. so cherry is horrified and is very much ready to murder pierre. and she, uh. does. she chases him down the hall (because of course he runs. of course.), points her blaster at his head, and fires. she just kills him.

and then, because he's still pissed and terrified, he goes to find paige. paige deploys another cyborg (kudzu; dead body that paige essentially pilots and therefore not considered an "active" cyborg). cherry kills that too (lot easier when youre not trying to keep them alive). cherry finds paige. they talk. they fight. beat the shit out of each other. cherry aims and is ready to kill but realizes that's what paige wants. says she'd rather her be alive for every moment people realize what she's done. lets her go. paige watches him walk away, then gathers juuust enough strength to enter a few more commands into her main console, then collapses.

cherry, while trying to leave the building, is then confronted by a previously "retired" (see: shut down and locked up for years) cyborg, neil (lemon). cherry is horrified to see him-- so horrified, in fact, that she doesn't do anything when he approaches and impales her through the stomach with a blade built into his arms. she drops, and he walks away.

cherry then crawls her way back to the regrowth server room, plugs herself into the system, and uploads her consciousness in a last desperate bid to stay alive. they are found by fizzle and vallen later. reporters and police swarm the building, and they retrieve lemon, having found him curled up in an alcove in the wall of the main trial area for the cyborg project. paige jensen is arrested, cherrys body is retrieved to be repaired by fizzle, and regrowth is no more.

... so. ok. let's take several steps back and fill in some gaps here.

eveline ethel woode grew up in the same town paige and pierre jensen moved to when pierre was about 2 and paige was 10. daughter of a textile ceo and an ex movie starlet, she was very much under her parents thumb. her mother blamed eveline for ruining her career, since she wouldn't have had to have left the business had she never gotten pregnant, and her father's anger at the most likely heir to his company being a woman combined with his own alcoholism led to a lot of physical abuse that left eveline with a permanent limp and a broken nose. this treatment broke eveline woode to her very core. which went almost entirely unnoticed (or at least uncared for) by everyone except for one pierre jensen. because pierre-- pierre was not only perceptive (how else are you going to figure out what makes people like you?), but he was going through something similar to eveline. do you know how comforting that can be, to know you're not the only one? to see someone suffering the same way you are? neither of them deserved that. neither of them deserved to be alone in this. pierre, slowly, fixates on the idea of getting eveline out of her situation-- on saving them both. and maybe, just maybe, he'd finally find someone he wouldn't have to pretend for anymore. maybe he'd finally have a solution to how fucking alone he was, maybe he'd,

and then eveline Leaves. at the age of 16, she pulls the strings to get herself a cheap little rented home for the next year in a town far the hell away that has enough of a reputation of being where no one wants to go, and she leaves. and this... isnt how things were supposed to go for pierre. she was supposed to leave with him. she was supposed to be HIS escape, not her own. this isn't the way things were supposed to go, just who the hell does she think she is, taking his ONE CHANCE of happiness away? it's like she doesn't even care what--

eveline woode lands in a foggy little town in georgia and things are okay. she always loved flowers, and there's enough actual air in the sky here to let them grow. she's as alone and isolated as she's always been, and that emptiness never quite goes away, but at least she's safe now.

anyways, whatever funds she was able to scramble together from her parents isnt going to last forever, so she picks up some odd jobs and through that ends up meeting this guy named scott. scott is a father of two and he's been through some similar shit to eveline so he Notices The Behaviors (and she's about the same age as his daughter which makes him worry about her MORE) (also Why is a seventeen year old living on her own in this shitty town thats worrisome on its own) and slowly eveline starts to become a good family friend of theirs. she babysits his son, housesits, shes invited to things-- anything to make her feel welcomed and loved. which is... not anything eveline is used to. she tries to not think about it, considers it as just doing her job and doing what's right but like. she loves the marshalls. and they consider her as much of family as they can. mason, scotts daughter, fills her in on pop culture and his wife gives her gardening and baking tips and he shows her music he loves from his record collection (and she starts a small one of her own, too!) and theyre Happy. eveline woode is happy.

anyways meanwhile paige jensen is relaying to her brother about her New Ideas for cybernetically enhanced people and how hard it's going to be to find a volunteer willing or otherwise and pierres like ".... otherwise??" and paige is like Oh. I mean. we couldn't do that. i mean, it'd have to be somebody NO ONE cared about that NO ONE ever notices that has NO CONNECTIONS and NO and pierre sees an Opportunity here. and he suggests a target. because she can't be doing that well for herself anyways, right? not without him there. paige has already perfected memory transfers; all he'd have to do is modify them a little and then everything would be the way it was supposed to be. maybe it's a little grotesque, maybe it's immoral, maybe it's too far, but it'd be worth it in the long run. it'd be fine. it'd be fine. it'd be f

pierre finds eveline, follows her for a few weeks, figures out a path she takes at a certain time in the night that's just secluded enough for him to grab her and leave (besides. bad town. lotsa police reports go unchecked. this Can't Go Wrong)

it goes wrong. someone rounds the corner and pierre goes to hit them over the head and realizes it's a man. but the guy gets spooked and falls ass backwards and impales himself on a fence which was NOTTHEFUCKINGPLANHOLYSHIT. and to make matters worse, the guys son rounds the corner too and at 12 years old neil marshall watches his father scott die and gets a good look at pierre jensens face in the process.

so. scott dies. eveline thinks of it as some divine punishment for anything good happening to her. returns to her self isolating ways. the marshalls never see her again. December 18th 1999 pierre jensen goes to her home directly, knocks her out, and drags her away. it's not until december 24th that anyone realizes she's gone and by then there's not many leads besides some missing items, a broken window in the door, and her own blood.

so when subject 0 runs away and pierre is also faced with an ultimatum of kill a 12 year old or submit him to the same fate as his sister that's kind of when he realizes that umm. uh. maybe this was a bad idea actually. because the ONE THING he was in it for is gone and, as far as he knows, dead. but his face is on magazines and he's catapulted into popularity and he has a company to run, doesn't he? and after so long of feeling powerless, of feeling like nothing, can he really bear to give that power up?

so. additional things. neil marshall gets his memories back and ends up spending a lot of time waiting for cherry to get repaired and wake up because he needs to tell eveline he's sorry and that he misses her and also that he's sorry. fizzle and vallen kind of get the fill about eveline from neil bc the poor kids gotta talk through this shit good god. cherry gets repaired and is functional, hypothetically, but she still doesn't wake up.

so from the database he's still in, cherry is the one sending out information about the story. there's this desperation to understand why they're here and how things ended up like this and to make people know what happened to them. what happened to eveline. because cherry has lived their own life with their own experiences that have shaped her own ideologies and attitudes and shes.... not.... eveline. not anymore, anyway. and this crushes them in so many ways because things were getting so much better for eveline for such a long while there and SHES the one who deserves the friends and the family and the revenge and the peace of mind but she DOESNT GET IT. she'll never get it, because cherrys the one who gets it. because eveline woode died on december 18th 1999 and cherry is what has grown through the gaps like an infection and how much of her is even left there, really? something something commentary about haunting the narrative and being considered less of a character and more as a motivation when you always deserved better from the narrative you were stuck into.

anyways. cherry does eventually get back into their body, reconciles with the fact that eveline is not her humanity and that maybe he never was human and that's okay because it's him and that's all that matters, continues to have turmoil about it but it's. fine. rough reconciliation with the marshalls because he's not eveline but they deserve to see eveline alive again so here he is. cherry pushes on and values the life he has and can only hope that that can in some way grant evelines memory peace.

anyways cherry would be 43 years old today and i think he owns a record/head shop and still goes to therapy once a week send fucking tweet

A Sunrise Is A New Day

Chapter 3

A new day starts with Eden's new forming habit of the pass few days of crying at the first sign of daylight as it seem she trying her best to become a rooster which caused Naoto to laugh when I told him the joke before we come into town and after I got her settled down with a bottle I start on fixing my own breakfast before hearing a wagon pulling up to the house only find it's Hinata with the other two after stepping out see who it is.

"Breakfast?" I gesture to what I had cooked but they shook their heads no.

"No but thank you, I'm here to inform you about things you'll need to know now that you're settled down...." She trails off after I had help her into Mother's rocking chair I put by the fireplace once she notice Emma walking in her working clothes of a button up plain colored shirt as dark brown pants cover her pants with brown suspenders laying comfortably on her shoulders while worn dirt dust covered working boots on her feet as a worn hat sits on her head but what caught my attention is the two small wire cages in her hands with a chicken each squawking.

"We bought these and a goat for you." Emma smiles at me when I thanked the two after taking ahold of the wire cages to set beside the door for now and follow her out to the wagon where a almost grown white goat is calling in the back.

"The mother clearly didn't want her as she won't let the little lady eat with her siblings so I had to feed her myself until she's got winged." Emma places the goat into my arms where I set it next a post to tie it to with the rope around its neck until I can build a pen for it before going back inside.

"Every Sunday the whole town gets together at lake Miyu to talk, gossip, and among other things." Hinata started talking after I fixed everyone some tea and got comfortable as Eden is laying in her rocking crib that's been move next to her.

"As you know Shin and Imaushi owns the Vallen supplies store in town which Shin is one of Emma older brothers, There's Mikey an Omega that a year older then her and there Draken another Omega though his been adopted into the family while his two years older. Now we have one doctor in the whole town which is a Beta named Tetta Kisaki and mated to Hanma Shuji an Alpha, there's one teacher for the school he's Mitsuya Takashi an Omega which reminds me that you should be careful around here as there's many unmated Omega living in the town as for some reason Alphas don't tend to come here much." I nod, having so many unmated Omegas in one small place isn't really a good thing for a unmated Alpha like me.

"There's Takemichi Hanagaki thought everyone calls him Takemitchy a very good friend of mine, he sews clothing for work with another Omega named Chifuyu Matsuno which he's mated to two Alphas Baji and Kazutro....." She continues on as we all sip on our teas and she plays with Eden while gently rocking her cradle until around late noon.

"I thinks it's time to get going, my love. We got things to finish before the days finished." Emma gives Hinata a kiss before helping her up and to the wagon with Naoto following behind.

"If it ok with you two, can you look after Eden until tomorrow at the gathering so I can get things settled with animals which I'm go thankful for!" I quickly asked once they're settled into their wagon.

"Of course, she's such a little sweet heart! You thinks it's ok?" Emma nods at her Omegas request since she doesn't want to cause her to have one of her mood swings, I go to retrieve little Eden and carefully hand her to Hinata.

"See you tomorrow!" I wave them bye, once they're out of view I roll up my sleeve and get to work on the pen for the goat which I decided to connect to the wall there since it doesn't have a window, using my Dad's old jackhammer I drive stake I had found in the small barn with some boards into the ground and lucky there's enough space in the barn for them to sleep in for nights with the horses. My shirt clangs to me with sweat after a few hours of working in the hot summer sun which I decided to take off my shirt at lunch and splash water on top of my head after taking a few sips before getting back to work. In the afternoon with at least two or three hours left of sunlight when I finally got the pen done to move the three animals in which I remember about the job opening at the mill.

"Shit" I cures before quickly putting back on my shirt and saddle up Warwick my all black male horse while Thane my other all black male horse calls after us as we leave into town.

"Oh, oh, oh" I mumbled as I pull Warwick to a stop outside the mill and jump off to quick tie the reins to the post to walk to the first person I see that finally up their work.

"Hello, I'm look for the owner?" Which they point me to a small office which I thanked them before walking in, an old man is sitting in a rocking chair while reading as he waits for he's workers to finish up so he can lock up and go home which he looks up when hearing the door opening to see me walking in.

"Hello sir, I heard you need a worker for the mill?" I bow my head slightly in respect for the older Alpha.

"Yeah, what you heard is true and I heard there is a new Alpha in town which that is you correct?" I nod at his question.

"Yes sir that's correct." I remind formal and respectful until the older Alpha says otherwise.

"Drop the sir and formality, son." He folds the newspaper and throws it onto the desk before getting up.

"I'm getting too old to care about that stuff anymore. Well, I'm Mansaku Sano but everyone in town calls me Grandpa Sano." He holds a hand out to shack which I did.

"You want the job?" He asked after sitting back down in his rocking chair and though he's an old Alpha I can clearly see he still stand tall and strong like he's still in his earlier years, I nod again.

"Yes, Hinata informed me about the job and the one at the blacksmith but Mr. Wakasa had said that one is already taken." The older man nods before looking me up and down.

"Just understand that I can get rid of you easily if you step out of line and I understand you got a kid to raise which I heard is the reason you moved here."

"Yes, you heard correct but I can let Hinata and Emma babysit her while I'm at work." He looks up at me.

"My granddaughter and her wife?" He gestures me to a wooden chair which I thanked him for and set down, I nod.

"Little Eden seems to have already taken their hearts as soon as we got here." He nods with a smile.

"Haha, Emma had told me that over lunch! I can see that the both of them will be great parents! Plus it was all that Draken and Mikey could talk about over supper after attending the usual Omega gatherings when they saw little Eden in Hinata arms!" I smiled at the imagine that appears in my mind of all the Omegas cooing over little Eden.

"Hey Grandpa....." Emma trails off when seeing me sitting in the office which she says a quick hello.

"Everything is finished and the last person just left, you ready?" Grandpa Sano stands from his seat one again and places his hat on his head, we all left the office so he can lock it up before following Emma to her wagon and got on which he turns to me.

"You got the job and the mill opens at 8 in the morning until four in the evening on Sunday,I suspect to see there." With that Emma snap the reins to get the horses into moving which I move to get onto mine and back to home but Imaushi flags me down before I could completely leave the town.

"Sorry if I'm bothering you but my wife wishes for you to stop by the house and pick one of the calves out of our lot as a home welcoming gift!" He calls from the stores poach which I nod and call by.

"Ok, I'll be there after getting my wagon!" I move on to the house to get Warwick and Thane hook to the wagon before making my way over to the larger Sano family which Hinata had told prior in case I need to go there for any reason, soon I see a medium size house with two levels to it as it's wooden roof is slanting on one side almost touching the ground as it over hangs the front door and the balcony of the second level as a stone chipney sticks out of the roof. I can also see a garden is siting in the front big enough to feed a nice size of a family while having extra on the side but my attention is taken by the person that had step out the front door and the one peeking around the frame, even from here I can tell the one on the porch is short with blond shoulder length hair as some of it sit in a small pony tail on top of their head wear a long blue dress that's cropped with ruffles and the one around the frame is quite tall but that's all I can tell anything else until my closer.

"Hello!" Shin waves once seeing who I am after the short one called into the house and watch as I pull the horses to a stop.

"Imaushi had told me to come over and said that you wanted me to pick a calf as a welcoming gift?" I questioned which he nods before turning to the house calling the two over.

"(Y/N), this is my younger brothers Mikey and Draken." Shin gestures to the two by his side, the short one I had seen from afar is Mikey and Draken is the taller on. He had long blond hair that's pulled back into a braid while the sides of his head are shaven with one side tattooed which isn't seen a lot on Omegas and wears the same dress as Mikey except it's green.

"You're the talk of the town!" Miley blurred out once I tip my hat to them after pulling the brakes on the wagon and hop off which Draken hissed at him before Shin calls my attention from around the back of the house which I jog over with the two behind me.

"Everyone is nice here! Hinata and Emma give me two chickens with a goat and now you want to give me a calf!" I expressed after Shin gestures over to four calves that have already been winged from their Mammas.

"Well, you have to start somewhere!" He lays a hand on my shoulder as I lean over the pen to look at the calves.

Laina looked back at her mom rolling her eyes once more realizing that she finally had all four of her parents attention, "And I'm sick of constantly picking up the pieces when Chloe, Cj and Julian can't babysit." Kailee placed her hand onto Laina's hand, "We had no idea you felt this way." Kailee squeezed her step daughters hand before looking back at her husband nudging him to take over.

"My bad ass mom is cussing out our dads about this stupid feud, again." Cj smirked taking a seat, putting his foot on the wall, "Mr. Davis, this isn't your living room." the new asst. principal said walking by noticing where Cj decided to place his sneakers when he too a seat. "Maybe you can explain to me why mt feet don't belong on the walls at school in detention?" Cj asked her before he removed his foot out of respect for the attractive female authority figure. "Just don't do it again Mr. Davis." She said in a low tone of voice and a sweet smile and continued her way to her office to meet with parents.

Laina raised her eyebrow exactly like her mother and older sister do when they're about to go off, "but all of you only care about you're other kids anyways so i'm going to find Max and run away to Disney world and actually get there this time!" Laina pushed her seat out as she stood up with her hands firmly pressed onto the table and used it to push herself to turn and rushed out into the hallways seeing her siblings, Piper and Max. "Who wants to go to Disney World?"

Vallaslins of Lavellans

I was thinking about my Lavellans recently and to my utter surprise I discovered that my characters’ vallaslins are not only decoration, but also represents some of their personality traits as well as facts which I established before. Moreover, they also show which Elven God they like/admire the most and also, which was even more a surprise to me, the love interest, which I chose for them. Starting from the first to the Keeper, my headcanoned future head of clan Lavellan:

Vallen Lavellan (The First):

She has the vallaslin of Dirthamen, the God of Secrets, because as the First to the Keeper, she has to seek old knowledge and keep it secret. I chose Blackwall for her, without even realizing how magnificent idea it was. As we all know Blackwall has a secret, a pretty big one, which also means that it’s exactly kind of a secret, which Vallen would want to discover, so I assume that she was pretty aware that he was lying nearly from the start and was collecting pieces of the puzzle until Blackwall revealed everything. She was not sharing her suspicions with anybody else, so I can fairly assume that if he told her the truth, she would certainly keep this secret for him, because as much as secrets, loyalty and family are everything to her.

Vestariel Lavellan (The Second):

She has the vallaslin of Mythal, Goddess of Love, also known as protector or All-Mother. As the Second to the Keeper, her duty is to support the First and protect the clan from harm, as well as tending to the clan’s needs. Though for Vestariel it was never as much of a duty as something she would do regardless, as since the very young age she was already very loving, caring and aspiring to guide the ones who needed that. She is considered a mother figure by the younger Dalish elves from clan Lavellan. I chose Cullen as her love interest, because he is a deeply flawed, but also deeply hurt man, someone whom a person like Vestariel would want to help. She wants to heal his mind and heart, as well as teach him that mages don’t deserve to be persecuted and shouldn’t be treated as they are now, because just like for Mythal, justice is as important to her as love.

Aravel Lavellan (The Third):

He has the vallaslin of Sylaise, Goddess of Domestic Arts, the Hearthkeeper. He is the kind soul who seeks to keep peace among his people, but also between Dalish and the outside world, according to Vir Atish’an. Among the clan, he is the Third to the Keeper, which means that his position isn’t as important, but also that he can seek the knowledge and way of life he values the most. He chose to become a healer of the clan, thanks to what he is considered as important as First and Second who focus on other needs of the clan. The metaphorical fire and the heart (of the clan, or to achieve one’s goal) which burn inside are the most important things to him, which also means that he is drawn to people who embody them. I chose Dorian and Bull as his love interests because of that reason, as they both embody those qualities well and intrigue someone like him. Creating a safe “warm” place that is open for them is Aravel’s way of showing love and devotion to his lovers, which means a lot to them.

Nellana Lavellan (The Hunter):

She has the vallaslin of June, God of Crafts and Building. She is the clan’s hunter and protector, who also likes to create her own bows and arrows. She was always interested in woodwork, so it’s probably not even surprising that Blackwall caught her eye. I chose him for her because they share the same passion for crafts and can understand one another thanks to the fact that they’re both kind of outsiders in their respective groups. Blackwall isn’t a proper Warden and feels burdened by that knowledge, while Nellana for quite a great chunk of her life was estranging herself to her peers and isolating herself due to feeling as the only one who actually has any issues with keeping some old elven traditions, like protecting graveyards with dangerous spirits and such, as well as strangers, especially humans who sought her clan. Clan Lavellan was always very open to interaction with humans, which didn’t sit well with her till she met Blackwall. She also had a very good chemistry with Sera as they both are different from others, so of course she romanced her as well. They connected over shared mistrust of some of the more hard to understand parts of magic, which scope and purpose are usually only understandable to mages, not mere people like them who have only their skill and bow.

Professor Alecai Kainen - He is Andy’s favorite professor at Oxford who teaches the secret wizard students. He is hired when the war starts to lead a team to experiment with magical weapons created by TOWER (@savetheundoneyears) so they can learn to disarm them and make cures for any curses or hexes or effects. He refuses the suggestions of some of the most brilliant minds of the wizard world and instead insists on hiring his students for his team. He does it so they can gain experience, however he starts to regret it later when the dangerous work starts to take his students lives. He always tries to put himself first and protect the students. He does eventually die doing so. FC: Martin Short

Audry Kainen - She is the daughter of Alecai and is one of the first women students to attend Oxford lectures without chaperones when the rule is lifted in 1914. She strives to be more than just Professor Kainen’s daughter and tries to prove that she belongs and that she didn’t get there simply by being his daughter. She does love him though and he is very proud of everything she does. He knows she is capable on her own without him. Audry and Andy have a friendship that starts out rocky (as you do when two powerful intelligent people think they are both right) but they end up great friends. She reminds Andy of his sister and she also likes that he isn’t one of the many guys who wants to sleep with her or doubts her because she’s a woman. FC: Jessica Biel

PERSONALITY

Child: Growing up he was afforded a lot of luxury as the Vallens had a lot of money. He also would follow his sister around everywhere and loved when they would play. He was also curious about everything and was given the best tutors and he quickly displayed natural intellect and was gifted like his sister. Once his sister discovered her magic and got her letter, he also wanted to explore magic and soon after he got his own letter. This catapulted his confidence as he knew it was rare for two magical children to come from muggles.

Teenage: During Hogwarts, his success in his studies built his ego even further. He was proud of himself, his intelligence, his family, and magic. He also started to experiment with his appearance as he started adopting a more feminine look. Wherever his sister would go, he wouldn’t be far behind. They became really close as their parents expected them to attend all the fancy rich parties they threw at their estate. They would stick together and gossip and whisper about all the guests as they giggled and joked about people.

Early Adulthood: Andy followed his sister to Oxford University after they graduated Hogwarts. They both were hungry to learn more and soon discovered Oxford University home to both a muggle and secret wizard population. They had the best of both worlds to study. Andy started to feel lonely and sad as he was naive and egotistical and did not talk to anyone. He thought they weren’t like him enough to be worth getting to know them. He did not really mean for it to be rude, but he just didn’t think about it. Once the First World War breaks out, he starts to grow up a bit more and learns to separate himself from his rich and gifted upbringing and he gains friendships in the team founded by his wizard Professor that experiments with magical weapons and whose goal is to disarm and find cures for them. He ends up watching half of his team die horrible deaths in accidents with the weapons.

Late Adulthood: After the first war, Andy finishes his studies. Instead of becoming a professor at Oxford or Hogwarts (he’s offered many jobs from both), he decides to try to help the less fortunate receive education. He moves to a small country town and teaches classic literature to muggles. He tries to escape the wizard world a bit because of his experience with dangerous magic and may have PTSD. When the Second World War starts, he is offered a job again from the wizard world which he immediately turns down. He no longer has the ego and ambition to be a hero. Instead, he keeps teaching and also protects his students. He would also shelter and help refugees escape while making sure children still receive safe education and not be forced to fight.

ATTITUDE

Most at Ease When: Reading classic literature, hanging out with his sister at parties, using his brain

Stressed When: Having to have small talk with people he doesn’t like, being apart from his sister, being lonely

Priorities: Proving his worth and intellect, his friendship with his sister, achieving high academic degrees, keeping his students safe and educating them (later in life)

Strengths: Intellectual, loyal, innocent, secret kind heart, unapologetic for who he is, who he loves, or how he dresses

i find the map and draw a straight line

Prompted by @momsthetic - zinnia (I mourn your absence)

They all pile onto the Wicked Grace after they escape the Gallows, an unusual kind of cadence with Anders and Fenris lying dead and Carver running up the gangway on Esther's heels. The crew is all already awake, gawking at the chaos as the Gallows burn, and there's a long moment where they stare at the newcomers, ragged and bloody from their fight out of the city. A single shout from Isabela sets the sailors all back to rights, and the bustle of a ship readying to sail leaves the rest of them at loose ends on the deck.

Esther wants to be the first to recover, the smell of the sea usually almost as sweet to her as it is to Isabela, but Merrill's got a death grip on her hand that she doesn't seem too keen on loosening, and Esther can’t bring herself to do anything but stare. None of them speak, looking out over the docks as Isabela’s captain’s voice and the responses of her crew echo behind them. Heart sinking, Esther watches the roof of one of the warehouses collapse, a fresh plume of smoke billowing out from where it stood.

Varric’s murmured “shit” isn't meant to be heard by the others, but he's not as quiet as he thinks he is and it defuses the tension, if only a little. Merrill lets up on Esther's hand, and Carver loosens his armor and leans forward onto the railing.

“Shit,” Esther echoes, but it's hollow, and the tension grows taut again when she doesn’t follow it up with a joke. Merrill leans against her, silent, and Carver nods slowly, in sympathy - they put the whole city on her shoulders, and she failed.

They're still quiet as the crew finishes their final checks, and Esther feels her heart lift the smallest bit at the thought of being out on the water, escaping the city with her friends to finally just be Esther again, not the Champion of Kirkwall. But there's a small flurry near the gangway as Isabela sends someone to pull it onboard, and Aveline waves him away while gesturing their ragtag group towards her.

“I'm not leaving,” she says bluntly, once they've within earshot. She gazes out over the city, wincing as the flames spread to another building. “There's no one left, now with Meredith gone - not that Meredith was worth it in the first place. I can't leave while the city is in this state.”

Isabela eyes her critically, face calculating. “All right.” She claps Aveline on the shoulder, respect and insolence all in one. “I'll see you again, big girl.”

Aveline rolls her eyes, but there's a softness in her face, and she nods to Isabela before turning to Esther. “Keep out of trouble, Hawke. Maker knows you'll find it.”

Esther tries to give a cheeky grin, but it doesn't quite work, and instead she inclines her head. “You wouldn't be happy unless you had to come pull me out of something, you know it.” Tears prick at her eyes, but she blinks them away. She will not cry here, not with everyone watching. Grimacing, she fakes a cough, to try and sell that it’s the smoke.

Aveline nods once more, turning without another word and hurrying back down the gangway. She draws her sword and shield as she hits the ground, and the crew pulls the gangway onto the ship, and Aveline turns a corner and is gone into the maze.

They weigh anchor, picking their way out of the harbor and giving the Gallows a wide berth, and Esther doesn't move from her spot on the railing. She stands still, Merrill on one side and Varric on the other, with Carver nearby and Sebastian hovering and Isabela calling orders behind her, until burning Kirkwall fades over the horizon. She doesn’t give in to the tears that threaten to fall, but she doesn’t say anything else even when the city disappears, and her expression when she finally turns away is brittle.

They leave Carver at Ostwick, off to rejoin his Warden unit. Everyone that’s left of their ragtag band of misfits troops off the ship together, Isabela shouting about half a day’s shore leave to the crew and the rest attempting to make merry like this is something they do all the time. A bar is found, one Varric complains could never live up to the legacy of the Hanged Man, and they take up their customary places around an unfamiliar table. A smaller table too, chosen to avoid thoughts of the gaps in their circle, and the conversation does not flow as easily despite the much better ale.

Esther does not beg or plead with Carver to stay, to shirk his vows and his duty and the mantle she gave him to save his life. Or, at least, she wouldn’t look to be begging in the eyes of someone who did not know her - but those standing around her as she says goodbye to her brother know her better than she ever thought possible.

“But who will protect me from the big scary darkspawn?” she jokes, trying to force her characteristic lilting humor back into place. To his credit he doesn’t call her on the fragility of her voice, responding only with a long-lost smirk and a deep, put-upon sigh. But when he grasps her hand and she pulls him in for a bone-crunching hug, his eyes are shiny and wet.

All of them watch as he mounts the relay horse that will take him to the Warden outpost a few hours outside the city. He rides straight out, not turning even for one last wave, his greatsword almost as big as Merrill familiar on his back, and Esther's heart squeezes in her chest as he rounds a bend out of sight.

She doesn't cry, blaming the city’s dust when she blinks too much. They make their way to the ship, no longer trying to mask how dejected they are, and Esther tries not to look at any of them or any of the crew who could try to be helpful. She takes her place back at the railing as the ship glides out to sea, Varric and Sebastian on one side and Merrill on the other, Isabela barking orders in the background, and every flutter of a sail out of the corner of her eye has her turning to look for her missing brother.

Sebastian leaves when they reach Hercinia. They end up in a bar again, but there’s barely a hint of conversation this time, as if the removal of links from their chain has made the rest of the links even weaker. The walk to the Chantry afterwards is quiet.

“There should be a merchant caravan going to Starkhaven soon,” Varric pipes up finally, and Sebastian nods, and they lapse back into silence. They follow him up the steps into the the ornate building, waiting impatiently while he secures a place to stay for the next few nights, and breathing a little easier once they're in the open again.

Varric leads the way to one of the largest shops in the city and waves familiarly to the dwarven shopkeeper, earning himself a scowl in return. He wheedles and nudges, laughing at the shopkeeper’s grumpy demeanor and waving the others off to let him work.

Despite the inauspicious beginnings, it's not long before he's found a place for Sebastian in the caravan that will take him home. They troop back outside into the street to say goodbye, and most of the group makes their way back to the ship as Esther tags along with Sebastian back to the Chantry.

She doesn't cry this time, either. “What is with the incense here?” she complains, swiping at her eyes in an anger she doesn’t really feel, unable to find the words to tell Sebastian she’ll miss him.

Sebastian gives her a hug and a smile, clasping her hand as she steps back. “We will meet again, Hawke,” he says, and she nods, not trusting herself to speak again. He looks away as the bells ring through the building, marking the hour, and she hurries back out without turning around, following the noise of the docks back to the ship.

As always, she stands on the deck to watch the city fade behind them, Varric and Merrill flanking her, and this time Isabela's shouted orders feel like salt on an open wound.

She thinks they're safe when they dock in Wycome, with nothing to draw any of the last few of her friends away from the ship, but there's a letter waiting for Varric when they arrive at his second-favorite bar. He tears it open, confusion filling his face, and Esther's heart sinks as he reaches the end and looks up at her apologetically.

“I have to go,” he says, and her heart threatens to shatter as she stands rigid beside him. He doesn't elaborate, knowing the details won't matter when the effect is the same. Merrill and Isabela hover behind them, quiet, as Esther balls her hands into fists and wills herself not to fall apart.

They stay in Wycome for four days, far longer than Isabela had intended. Esther spends most of the time with Varric, trying to joke and failing and spending more of her time in silence than she ever has before. He lets her be, uncharacteristically unsure of what to say, and they muddle through the last few days as best they can.

The last night, as Merrill and Isabela and Esther prepare to take ship again and Varric prepares to join another caravan heading back west, they somehow find a tavern none of them have ever been to. Esther and Varric go drink for drink, Isabela fleeces far too many people at Wicked Grace, and Merrill watches it all with big, curious eyes.

Everything seems fine for a while, each of them more relaxed than they've been in recent memory, limbs and tongues loose from ale. Esther joins the Wicked Grace game, pretending she's worse at it than she really is and laughing, less brittle than in weeks. “Hey Fenris -” she calls, and realizes what she's said, and she drops her cards so quickly it's like they're on fire.

There's no excuse she can pass her tears off on this time, and she flees the tavern as quickly as she can. She's never been to Wycome before, but the seedier part of one town is much like the seedier part of another, and she tucks herself into an alleyway reminiscent of the one behind her uncle’s house and finally lets herself sob.

Fenris isn't just scattered off to some random part of the Free Marches, he's dead, and so is Anders, and she never saw eye-to-eye with either of them but they were part of her group of misfits and now there's empty spaces in the world. She cries harder, back pressed against the damp stone walls of a Wycome alley that smells of Antivan wine, and pleads with a Maker she’d long since decided didn’t care, her voice little more than a whisper.

Merrill finds her first, despite her terrible head for directions, and calls out behind her for the others as she drops to her knees and wraps her arms around Esther's shaking shoulders. She doesn't speak, just murmuring softly in an attempt at comfort. Varric and Isabela make their way into the alley as well, their faces grim when Esther doesn't look up.

They stay that way for a while, the Chantry bells chiming the late hour going unheeded as Esther finally lets herself cry. Eventually her tears slow and her sobs quiet, and as Merrill helps her to her feet Varric slips his hand in hers, the weight of years in his squeeze.

“This isn't the end, Shorebird,” he says, his voice wavering as he tries to pretend he hasn't been holding back his own tears. “You'll be back here, or back in Kirkwall, or you know, soon enough.”

She nods bleakly, her silence more an answer than any words would be. They all make their way back to the ship, Esther leaning heavily on Merrill’s shorter form as though she’s lost the strength to hold herself up. Varric carries his things to a waiting merchant cart, heckling and giving bad advice even to the last, and then he's swallowed up by the unfamiliar map of the city and Esther has to grip the ship’s railing with all her strength to prevent herself from running after him.

They set sail in the morning, and it’s all she can do to convince herself that Merrill and Isabela aren't ghosts, too.

Zach and Violet Kiddo Refs!!! Vera Edition!

Well, I already gave you Varina’s details, so now it’s time to share the details about Vera! Zach and Violet’s second oldest daughter! I am putting a cut below because it’s a lot again! Please note there are mentions of pregnancy and drinking, but they are only implied/ minor mentions!

The Basics:

Birthday: December 14th, 2019 (4 years younger than Varina)

Drinking, A Fashion Show, and a Christmas Wish: Violet and Zach had been told they never would be able to have another child after Varina’s traumatic birth, but they wanted more children and Varina kept asking for a little sibling every year for Christmas…until her wish finally came true. Vera is the product of a wild night at one of Donita’s fashion shows when Zach and Violet were there to provide security (Zach’s Zachbots) and entertainment (Violet sang in the show). Donita gave them a little too much to drink….and Vera happened…As such, Donita often claims Vera as her own child, and they form a very strong bond.

Name Meaning: Vera - True; Vanica - Gift of God. Named for the fact that she was a true gift from God (see section above 😊). It should be noted that her name is pronounced “Vaira,” Zach and Violet collectively agreed that they hated “Veara” as a pronunciation.

Nicknames: Ve (By Zach and her siblings), Ve-Bee (By Martin), My Protégée (By Donita)….others to be added?

Physical Features:

Hair Color/Type: Dark Brown, but a shade lighter than Varina’s; long hair, but not as long as Varina’s - it goes to the bottom her rib cage; her hair is naturally wavy/has lose curls. She prefers to style it in a ponytail, down, with headbands and hair accessories, or with braids.

Eye color/ Shape: Emerald Green, round - they look just like Zach’s eyes. She uses darker eye makeup (browns and greens) to accentuate her eye color.

Signature Colors: Lime Green, Rose Pink, Black, and ✨Sparkle ✨

Style: Girly-Chic, preppy, formal, high fashion (she’s a girly-girl and complete fashionista).

Height: 5’4” - She’s taller than both Violet and Varina, something she likes to tease them about 😂.

She has Violet’s face structure: a muted triangle, she has Violet’s lips, she has Zach’s nose, she has pierced ears - two sets of piercings to be exact, and she has a mixture of Zach and Violet’s builds. She has a fair skin tone that is somewhere in between her father’s and mother’s, but it is a bit darker than Varina’s. As a child she had freckles.

Personality/ Relationships:

Personality: Sassy, sweet, caring, creative, intelligent, devoted, determined, ambitious, confident. Vera has Zach’s drive and determination, and Violet’s sassy attitude and heart. Vera is the type of person who knows what she wants and she’s not afraid to put in the work or effort to achieve her goals. This does not mean that she’s heartless though, she never wants to hurt or harm anyone with her actions, so she tries to ensure that everyone she works with or associates with is treated fairly and is comfortable with her and her decisions. She goes the extra mile to make sure those around her are loved and cared for.

Relationships With Family: She’s a total daddy’s girl and mommy’s girl. She is a loving sister to all of her siblings. Given her position as one of the older children, she does take on more of a caring role toward her younger brothers and Victoria, but nothing like Varina’s motherly role. She’s more of the older, wiser, fun sister they can come to about anything with no fear of judgment. She has the strongest relationships with Varina and Vallen, they both, in many ways, are her best friends.

Love Interest/Future Family: Due to the demands of her career, Vera does not pursue love until later in her life, she is well into her 20s when she finally decides to start dating, and even then love finds her unexpectedly. When visiting with the Wild Kratts crew on break from her touring schedule, she becomes reacquainted with a fellow Wild Kratts Kid, Nolan (please note I only ship her with the fictional version of Nolan, not the actual person, and I only ship them together as adults).

As children they were great friends, but once they are adults their friendship blossoms into a romance. I imagine that once Vera is in her 30s she decides she wants to start a life with Nolan. She still performs locally and releases music from time to time, but does not tour. Nolan is very supportive of her career and encourages her constantly, being so proud of the fact that she uses the proceeds of her career to help others and animals (see section below for more info).

They marry and have a couple children together (I feel like a boy and girl 😊). She and Nolan, along with Vallen and some other former Wild Kratts kids, eventually take over the Wild Kratts organization, carrying on the legacy of the original Wild Kratts Crew (@creativegenius22 helped me figure out the relationship/dynamic between Vera and Nolan! Thank you!).

Zach’s reformed by this point, but he still grips about the fact that his daughter married a Wild Rat and is a Wild Rat, so a similar reaction as he had with Varina and JJ.

Talents/Career:

Special Talents/ Future Career: Vera is very intelligent like her parents, and while she thrived academically in school (always making the honor roll and getting good grades), she decided to channel her creativity for her career. She is a skilled pianist, singer, and gymnast, and she excels in ballet and lyrical dance. When she became a teenager she decided she wanted to pursue a career as a musician. Much like Violet, she gets started locally around her home, performing in talent shows, etc.

Donita observes Vera’s talent and decides to take her on as a model and performer for her fashion shows (at this point Donita has stopped using animals for fashion), just like she did with Violet. This is Vera’s start and she gains a strong fan base. After a couple years she decides to go out on her own, but is nervous to perform alone.

Vallen had joined her many times when she worked for Donita, so once he graduated from high school, they form a sibling duo group much like Velvet and Veneer. They often donate many of the proceeds from their shows to animal conservation and cancer foundations; in particular they help donate to the Kratt Brother’s Animal foundations. They perform together for a few years, then Vallen quits to pursue a career in zoology, at which point Vera comfortably becomes a solo musician.

A Few of Her Favorite Things/Fun Facts:

Christmas and Valentine’s Day are her favorite holidays. Even though she doesn’t have a romantic love interest to celebrate Valentine’s Day for many years, she just loves love and enjoys the day with her loved ones.

She typically consumes a pescatarian vegetarian diet, loving fruits, vegetables, fish/seafood, bread, and sweets. She will eat red and white meat on occasion, but it is rare, it typically only happens at holidays if it’s a dish she really likes.

Music: She love boy bands and pop music, some of her favorites are … Britney Spears, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Michael Jackson, Big Time Rush, The Wanted, Conor Maynard, Halsey, and Melanie Martinez.

Animals/Nature: She love all animals, but her favorites are nearly any type of bird (humming birds, cardinals, peacocks, doves are just a few of her favorites), butterflies, dragonflies, big cats, domestic cats, rabbits, pandas. She also loves all types of flowers, but roses are her favorite flower. Spring and winter are her favorite seasons.

She is not as outdoorsy as her other siblings, she, like Zach, prefers to stay indoors, but she will go outside and enjoy nature when the weather is nice. She becomes a Wild Kratts kid early on.

She loved Sofia the First as a child, and other classic Disney movies and shows, like all the princess movies: Princess and the Frog is her favorite animated movie. Another interesting show she enjoyed was Green Acres: she loved Mrs. Douglas’s sense of fashion. She absolutely loved the High School Musical Series, Ryan and Sharpay being her favorite characters. She also loved Trolls…especially Velvet and Veneer 😂. My, my, wonder why she became a fashionista and singer…
