born and raised in london, rashid was the first son and middle child of three blessed into a loving, growing family. his parents were both successful in their careers: his father being a well-respected surgeon and his mother being a professor at a renowned university located in the city, which allowed rashid and his siblings to live a comfortable life in the upper-class neighborhood of notting hill. surrounded by high-end restaurants, rashid seemed to get an affinity for food early-on. he'd pick apart his favorite meals from the surrounding restaurants his family would go to, studying the meal in order to replicate it at home. as a child, he would often help his mother with cooking meals for their family; and once he was old enough, he begged his parents to allow him to cook the family dinners on his own every few days, which only further pushed his love for the skill. rashid was always a rambunctious and curious child, often getting himself into trouble (or simply driving his parents mad). he participated in multiple sports both in and outside of school, but he still had so much pent up energy. he expelled it as best as he could in his youth, whether it was through football (he'll go crazy if you call it soccer in front of him), attending gym class, or trying his best at parkour (he was never really that good; he just liked the thrill of it all). once he was old enough, he started doing things that really tested his need for "thrills": he became a full-fledged adrenaline junkie. he enjoyed racing, doing tricks on a motorbike, going out of his way to only ride the biggest rides at parks, doing bungee jumps, anything. he never got tired of the exhilaration, always feeling the most alive when he was doing something risky. after he finished his education at university, he wanted to do something different. at this point, he had spent over two decades in the same city, doing the same thing over and over again. he was ready for something new. he picked up a few jobs at some of the high-end restaurants in his neighborhood, traveled out on his own, and experimented with different recipes at home. he continued this for a few years, feeling... content, but never really satisfied. it wasn't until a coworker of his mentioned traveling the world to work at renowned restaurants and broaden their horizons. something about that made a spark in rashid's eyes. after months of research, he finally made his decision: he would travel to valparaíso, home to the famous restaurant known as inesperado. he applied, obtained a job as a sous-chef, packed his bags, and moved across the globe. as of 2024, he has been living in valpo for about two years.

has a penchant for cooking pakistani meals, as taught to him by his mother (as she was taught by rashid's paternal grandmother). his favorite dishes are sajji and gobi aloo.

he enjoys running. it's probably the easiest way for him to stay in shape and expel his high energy. he also enjoys football (soccer) and motorcycling.

he loves going bungee jumping, rock climbing (mountains more than rock walls but he'll enjoy either), street racing, etc. typical daredevil stuff. but more than anything, he just loves the rush.

he loves r&b. his favorite artists include anderson .paak, goldlink, d'angelo, marvin gaye, and kyle dion. he'd also die for sza.

he's a dumbass. through and through. simple things don't connect to him and he'll sometimes just stare at you while he's trying to figure out what the hell is going on. it's either a mouth-breathing blank stare, or a big grin with empty eyes where you can see the cogs staying still. there is nothing behind that gaze.

is close with his family back home, calling and texting them regularly. they've yet to visit him, though. he claims to not mind, he's a grown ass man, but he gets sad over it sometimes.

Piper: (grinning) Yeah, I just didn’t want to freak you out by talking about kids so soon. I know we’re only teens and that’s years away, but I want that with you, Cammy, when the time is right.

Cam: I want that too, Pipes. When we're maybe 28 and after we've done some traveling and spent time just with the two of us. (Piper nods).

Truthfully, Cam had thought about having kids with Piper too. She wanted two kids as well, when she was older of course. She was also having embarrassing thoughts pop into her head of how their kids would look like, maybe with Piper’s curly hair and Cam’s nose and eyes, and how they might go after her or Piper.
