Some SUNNAH OF EID UL FITR 🌌

1. Give Zakaat ul Fitr before Eid prayer in the form of food and not money. [Bukhari 1503]

2. Do ghusl, use Miswak and wear you best clothes (men should use itr too)

3. Eat odd number of dates before Eid prayer – it is Sunnah [Bukahri 953]

4. Say Takbeer loudly, Its Sunnah and keep repeating these till the prayer starts. [Surah Baqarah 2:185] and Men should raise their voices while reciting takbeerat but women should NOT raise their voices.

👉🏼 Allaahu Akbar, Allaahu Akbar, Laa ilaahaa ilallaah Allaahu Akbar, Allaahu Akbar, wa lilahil Hamd.

5. Pray Eid Salah in congregation (jamaat). It is compulsory on all adult sane Muslims to pray the Eid prayer (Sunnah for Women). [Bukhari​ 974 & 975]

6. Please be happy, praise Allah and be grateful. He blessed us with a beautiful month Ramadan and allowed us to complete it Alhamdulillah. I know this Eid is going to be different with all these things happening around the world – may Allah rectify our situations – it is still important that we celebrate Eid with happiness and stay grateful and obedient to Allah.

SUNNAH OF EID UL ADHA 🌸

*1⃣ Doing ghusl, using Miswak and Perfume before going out to the prayer.*

And you should wear your best clothes – this is for men.

‼️ With regard to women, they should NOT go out wearing perfume and makeup.

*2️⃣ It is compulsory on all adult sane Muslims to pray the Eid prayer (Sunnah for Women).*

He (ﷺ) commanded everyone including women, children and the elderly to attend. Even menstruating women should go to the place of congregation so that they may partake in the blessings. [Bukhari​ 974 & 975]

*3️⃣ Say takbeerat all the time from fajr of 9th Dhul Hijjah till asar of 13th Dhul Hijjah and also while going out for Eid Salah* [Surah Baqarah 2:185]

‼️ Men should raise their voices while reciting takbeerat but women should NOT raise their voices.

*👉🏼 Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Laa ilaahaa ilallaah Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, wa lilahil Hamd.*

*4️⃣ It is preferable to pray the Eid prayer on open ground* and not at the masjid if possible. Neither Adhaan nor Iqaamah are said for Eid prayer. [Bukhari 957]

*5️⃣ It is Sunnah to say the extra takbeers i.e. say 'Allahu Akbar' seven times in the first rak'ah and five times in the second.* [Ibn Majah 1276]

*6️⃣ It is Sunnah to take different routes to and from the prayer ground, preferably walking if possible.*

Jaabir (رضي الله عنه) reported that the Prophet (ﷺ) used to return (after offering the Eid prayer) through a way different from that by which he went. [Bukhari​ 986]

*7️⃣ To eat from the sacrifice after coming from Salat ul Eid.* [Ibn Majah 1756]

‼️ If you don’t do udhiyah/Qurbani on first day and cannot eat from your sacrifice after Eid Salah then you can eat anything after coming back from Eid prayer.
