How do you "detached" yourself from something that has been going on too long? Too long like you think it's "forever". You know, like that line on your wall in your bedroom that has been there "forever"; the picture hanging in the living room since like "forever" ; the stain on that sofa that's been there "forever" for as long as you remembered, which your parents don't even bother to clean it anymore.

You know, the forever.

For the line, it's probably crack of the wall. Either you fix it or it's getting bigger. As for the picture, well if you decide to take it down, you will see the color that not match, between the other area of the wall and the area where the picture used to be. And for the stain on the sofa, it's probably way too long, there is no way it can be as clean as new now. There is only one choice.

To let it go and find the new one.

#I wanted to do this but had to change it since the only project where I'd actually be doing writing is XYLiro and I'm working on that anyway #I do still have a couple of others I could work on scripts for too but since I haven't started them they're not wips #if one of the old unfinished comics ones wins and there's so many votes for it that the time spent on them goes overboard #I will not make more afterwards because then I'd need to think about it and I don't want to do that I'm sorry skfdhs #if the animation meme goes overboard somehow I'll start another bnha au one though since I do have plans for an afs one #so 10 minutes is a lot but like if the winner gets enough votes for it to be over 10 hours I think it deserves it

The current foxhole court revival has made me give in and actually start writing on the TV series adaptation of it that I've been playing around with in my head since 2015 or 2016 when I first read the books...

I'm over 35 pages into it and I've got an episode structure for the first season (subject to change when I actually finish the first draft of each episode as they all need to be similar lengths and also end in suitable end-of-episode-cliffhanger places).

I should NOT be working on this as the chances of ever getting to make it real are slim-to-none but it is the only thing that gives me joy right now.

Guy enters the nursery. “There you are.”

Citron looks up from where he leans his head on the crib. He flashes Guy a smile.

“Your afternoon lessons will begin in fifteen minutes,” Guy tells him, walking towards him. “You have to–”

“Yes, yes, shhh.” Citron points at the baby in the crib. “Keep your voice down, Guy. You might wake up Tangerine.”

Guy goes quiet. He peers at the baby’s face.

“I might have looked like that when I was a baby, but I don’t think you or me could have known that. Do you think he’ll look more like my father when he grows up?”

“We cannot determine that yet. A week old baby’s features are still developing.”

Citron huffs. “You’re no fun.”

He gently rocks the crib. “But I think things will be different this time. If I spend as much time as I can with Tangerine, we’ll get close. And then maybe my other brothers will become close with me too.”

Guy still stays quiet. The two gaze at the youngest prince’s face, sound asleep.

Citron grabs a stool. “I want to carry him. Help me carry him, Guy.”

“It is not safe, Citronia.”

“It is!” he says in a whisper. “He’s tiny enough! And I need to learn how to carry him, anyways.”

He reaches down to grab Tangerine. Guy immediately lunges forward to support Citron’s hands as he lifts him up, making sure Tangerine won’t slip.

Citron, stubborn as he is, doesn’t let go of Tangerine as he’s out of the crib. “Come on, Guy! I can handle it.”

Guy thinks for a while, Citron staring at him as if he can see the gears turning in his head. He eventually lets go, and to their relief, Citron can support Tangerine’s weight.

“See?” Citron giggles, holding him close. “Oh, he’s so cute up close. Your big brother’s got your back always, okay Tangerine?”

Guy feels something indescribable at the sight.

in your opinion, in 15x09 did dean say in his prayers that he loves cas? like cas heard him say it or think it, wouldn't that make him happy and the empty deal came into place? or did he only think dean was about to say it and that's why he said "you don't have to say it"? in both cases he would have known though, why did the empty didn't come then? why did he say in 15x18 that he want something he can't have, when he must have known he can have it though? or did he think dean meant it only in a platonic/brotherly way? please elaborate. 😭

but yeah i do think dean (unintentional but he just couldn't stop it) told cas he loved him, maybe with words maybe not, but at least in the very emotion - that cas could easily pick up on - that coated every sentence of his prayer

and that's when cas probably lowkey panicked and had to immediately repress x100 by either focussing on the tragedy of it (they could never act on it cause the empty would take him) or lying to himself ("he doesn't mean it Like That") or a mix of both

so when dean was about to confess, cas made sure he didn't have to confront what he suspected he would have to confront and risk the empty coming for him

i think when in 15x18 he says he wants something he knows he can't have, is either that repression worked a little too well, or [insert some other angsty explanation]

and when cas finally says I love you, he sees the "love in his eyes", if I can quote Misha for a sec. and that's when it falls into place again and he allows himself to feel it at last. he knows he is loved and that's what he takes with him to the Empty.
