Blaziken Facts

-The scientific name for Blaziken is "Gallus Cinus" which eoughly translates to "Ash Rooster"

-Wild Blaziken live in Savannas or deserts

-Blaziken are omnivores and, in the wild, eat any bug type, grass type, or small mammalian pokemon they can get ahold of

-Blaziken are actually great parents, and will take in abandoned eggs from other bird pokemon. There was an instance where a Blaziken mothered Quaxly who had lost their mother (she also freaked out bcuz they went to the water and torchic can't swim very well, but it was all fine in the end)

-While wild Blaziken aren't aggressive towards humans, they don't like them getting to close either, and will defend themselves with powerful kicks if they feel threatened. However, it's not uncommon for curious Wild Blaziken to come up to investigate you. If this happens, stay calm and make yourself poor weaker; they usually don't pick on anything that is weaker than them (unless it's prey but you're not prey)

-Blaziken live in groups, and are often the leaders and only fully evolved ones in their flocks. If another member of their flock evolves into a Blaziken, the two will either fight for the role of leadership or the first Blaziken will drive out the newly evolved one

-Male Blaziken are bigger and more protective than female Blaziken. They're also noisier, which alerts other members of their flock

-Male Blaziken are known to be more protective of their trainers as well

-While Combusken were bred for both fighting and farming, Blaziken was bred purely for fighting, which is why they're so aggressive compared to other starters

-The sterotype that Blaziken caw when the sun rises is actually partially true. They caw to warn other members of their flock or to get their attention, and the sun rising lets them know it's day and time to get up to avoid any potential predators

-The downside to this though is that you can train them to be quiet, but they'll come into your room and wake you up at dawn either way

-Blaziken have a status on the Hoenian Horoscope! They're the 10th Zodiac

-Combusken and Blaziken meat is commonly eaten around the world, but in Hoenn, killing and eating a Blaziken can get you fined and a potential 3 years in prison

-While Blaziken can swim and do fine in water, they don't like it and instead bathe themselves using mud, dirt, and dust

-Despite being birds, and most birds being in the flying egg group, Blaziken are NOT in the flying egg group. Researchers think that the ability to breed with other birds died out because they spent all of their time on the ground away from them (my opinion is that it's just egg groups are weird but I can't be biased when sharing facts...)

-Like most fire types, Blaziken will warm their eggs using their fire abilities

-Blaziken's closest relatives are Hawlucha, Dodrio, and Unfezant

hi! i have an unfezant which is approaching middle age (it is the leader of the pecking order of my flock of pidove and is trained as a livestock guardian to sound an alarm in case of potential predators). this individual developed female plumage when it reached maturity and had that plumage for most of its life, but over the course of its most recent molt cycle i've noticed that it is starting to develop male plumage, including the characteristic "mask" and long feather crests. is this indicative of a hormone issue that i should consult a vet about, or is this a natural occurrence?

it's not unheard of in bird pokemon! many female bird pokemon have only one working ovary. your unfezant could have developed a general hormone disorder, or if something happened to her functioning ovary, the other sex organ may have "woken up" and started producing testosterone. it's definitely worth a vet trip to get some bloodwork and make sure everything's okay health-wise, but it may just be a weird natural occurence!

keep in mind that, although it is still genetically a female unfezant, you can expect behavioral changes alongside the physical changes! it may start trying to whip its mask at you or hit you with its spurs. the big thing to watch out for is that, if it grows in the full male plumage, its flight capabilities are going to be affected. watch out for any crashes as it adjusts to its new limits!

second verse same as the first, check out part one for my guidelines on how i made the teams! short version is only 4 pokemon per team, no repeats, and little to no shinies or legendaries

fun fact the unsleeping city was actually the first season i thought of pokemon for, and why i started to make teams in the first place!

i also like unsleeping city a uhhh a lot less than fantasy high so my fantasy high picks (part 1) are a lot more thought out and maybe cooler than these picks but hey i'm still happy with these!

oh also unsleeping ch. 1 and 2 spoilers ahead of course :]

Sophia

Purugly - symbolizing La Gran Gata! also it just feels like Sophia would have this pokemon it fits her Vibe

Furfrou (Heart Trim) - she is a hair stylist!! of course she would have the hair stylized dog!!! she mainly keeps her as the heart trim but it doesnt 100 percent always stay that way

Mienshao - cool and cute monk pokemon for obvious reasons lol

Raticate - represents kugrash after he dies(?). shockingly the raticate and purugly get along well, and are actually pretty nice with each other

Ricky

Boltund - there’s no dalmatian pokemon (which there should be maybe) so this is the closest i got to representing Ox! boltunds are VERY fast though so it still works lol

Blastoise - what better pokemon to have as a fireman than a giant water tank? probably got a squirtle when he was young and it evolved as he grew up :]

Kleavor - represents the fireman ax he carried

Machamp - Ricky is all about exercise so naturally i gave him the super buff pokemon. they probably train together and like do pushups or whatever fit people do

Kingston

Dachsbun - representing both the dog he gets in season 2 along with bagels in general, which seems to be a symbol for him (see the vox populi pin)

Drampa - similar to how i imagine the dragon of bleaker’s street would look, it also just feels like an old man of a pokemon (which kingston is)

Blissey - i like to imagine doctors/nurses get blisseys once they like are hired in healthcare to help their trainers with the patients (and also blisseys are absolute TANKS in terms of defense)

Magnezone - Kingston did that cool tech shutdown/takeover thing in one of the season one battles at the stock market and i thought that was cool. and also it fits because Vibes

Misty / Rowan

Gardevoir - a beautiful pokemon that always looks youthful, just like Rowan

Primarina - a singing pokemon that wouldve helped Misty practice her singing for plays

Meloetta - same reason, a singing pokemon lol

Scream Tail - rather than a standard Jigglypuff i would like to imagine an ancient thousand year old one was much more interesting! it also ties to Rowan's reincarnation thing she has goin' on

Iga

Goodra - a dragon to represent the storybook dragon inside of the chest she has! i didn’t do charizard because i saved that one for a future season team (take a guess who)

Gimmighoul - a chest pokemon because. she. she has a chest thats very important to her. yeah!!!

Perrserker - pure vibes i just feel she would have this pokemon lol

Hatterene - also mostly vibes, she Is a psychic so it works but yeah she gets a hatterene because i say so

Kugrash

Rapidash (Galarian) - unicorn totem

Unfezant (Male) - spicy pigeon totem

Ladyba - juicy cockroach totem (i didn’t do kricketune because i want to use it for a later team. can you again guess who)

Arceus - our first true legendary! kugrash literally becomes omnipotent so you know what he can have pokemon god on his team

Cody

Aegislash (Shiny) - it’s literally The sword pokemon of course Cody would have one. it’s shiny because if he spent a long time growing his real sword collection he can spend a long time finding a shiny. also it’s black and red like Thirsting Blade Dark Excalibur Mega Genesis

Grimmsnarl - the most emo pokemon ive ever seen so of course Cody gets it. as a treat

Houndoom - “but aloe why didn’t you give this to Fig?!” shshhhshshhhh. listen my sweet child. houndoom is for the emo boys. which Cody is. and also also it parallels the other paladin on the team, Ricky, and his dog pokemon, Boltund. does that make sense….

Corviknight - emo pokemon #3 on the team. also knight means sword so in a roundabout way it’s another sword related pokemon

Pete

Polteageist - Pete has a teapot in his official art and while yes. it is blue and so is the non-shiny form i think purple in general fits Pete a LOT more than blue so here we are lol

Musharna - literally the dream pokemon this was an easy peasy pick and very obvious

Hypno - another dream-like pokemon but much more scary to maybe represent a sort of nightmare compared to the sweeter dreams from Musharna

Vivillion (Garden Pattern) - representing Luna his green butterfly familiar! i feel like everyone (including the PCs) forget Luna exists and it makes me a little sad :(

Okidogi

- Enjoys belly rubs but refuses to acknowledge it in fear of it will make him look weak

- Often carries around Kieran and the other members when needed

- Also helps Kieran reach high places

- Met Dokutaro when Okidogi was kicked out of his pack for being too scrawny and weak; Dokutaro took advantage of that

Munkidori

- Is the weakest of the trio when it comes to strength, uses his powers to make up for that

- Has excellent mobility and flexibility

- Parkours super well

- Is the first to figure out Dokutaro's true intentions with Kieran

- Can both see the future and move things with his mind

- He met Dokutaro when he was lost and away from his family (he fell due to his clumsiness and got separated)

Fezandipiti

- TRANS KING WE STAN

- Wanted to be beautiful to impress a male Unfezant

- Didn't get the Unfezant but got chained to Dokutaro's will

- Collects and hoards shiny objects and glass

- Wants the Loyal 3 to be as beautiful as himself, so he makes sure that they look their best when robbing towns

- Is the one who did Kieran's new hair

- Likes the nickname "Fez"

Dokutaro/Pecharunt

- Is a lot bigger in my AU for reasons (about the size of a human head)

- Hates peaches and bans them from the household (Also dislikes oranges)

- Only opens up its shell when offering people/Pokémon its mochi or Toxic Chains

- Is the one who takes his job the most seriously (he's the leader after all)

- Stayed at Peachy's for like hundreds of years and even tested out controlling people on the shopkeeper there

-Allows the Loyal 3 to have some kind of free will most of the time. They still feel a sense of loyalty to him, but it's not outright mind control. (He only does that in certain situations)

Kieran (yes I'm adding him here because in my AU he's a member so)

- While he hates Ogerpon now, he didn't have the heart to completely throw away the mask he had of the Ogre, so it's just stuffed under the bed in a box

- Survives off of chocolate and spite

- Was a regular customer at Peachy's and always wondered about the odd plush there, imagine his surprise when he found out that it was a Pokémon

- Autistic and ADHD (like me)

- Hates presenting stuff

- Doesn't go home after school so he just hangs out with the Loyal 3 most of the time.

Best Pokémon Gym Leader Tournament- Round 1: Match 6

Our first match to put Gym Leaders from the same region up against one another, who will come out on top in this Unovan showdown?

Our first contender is Skyla, the Highflying Girl! She flies into the 21st seed spot just like she flew into our hearts. A skilled battler and pilot, Skyla is another leader with some inconsistently gendered pokémon. In the games, she has a female Unfezant, but in the anime, it's male! Though just a couple of years later she dropped the pokémon in favour of a team filled with 'S' pokémon- Swanna, Swoobat, Skarmory, and sometimes Sigilyph! Will her charming appearance and trivia win her the match?

Cheren, the one who seeks the right path, was the more successful of our two competitors in Round 1. Coming in at seed 12, he's also the first in Round 1 of contestants to be a former rival! For a guy who's always looking forward, he's ironically the only Gym Leader to get his own new gym but not a new badge to go with it- compared to Kanto's Janine, who took over the same gym and kept the same badge. But his Normal type Gym Leader lineage holds true here- he's another tough battle known in infamy to challenge run players! Can that same strength overcome Skyla?

I can tell you that the main reason Shake would ever have Pokemon and the favorite types he would have would just be for the sheer purpose of causing chaos and reigning terror to the people around him

His favorite types would be Electric Types (his most fav type), Bug Types, Psychic Types, Fighting Types, Flying Types, Rock Types, Ghost Types, Poison Types, Dragon Types, Dark Types, and Fire Types

All because to him, they cause the most damage and most chaos to those around him!

Also tried my best to get the color coordination done, really hope I did a good job here!
