I think Nimona was a great movie, but the message about suicide is lost on me... Nimona attempting it on the statue, being temporarily stopped, being happy hugging with Bal for all of 5 minutes, then immediately sacrificing herself was a deeply unsatisfying and almost uncomfortable direction to go.

Pretty sure pierre mentioned that every year they went on a holiday together with charles until like...2020. (He said so in a 2021 interview iirc and also said that they couldnt go the past year because of covid, but he hopes they will have time in the future.) Idk if they went fr afterwards, but even this confirms that it isnt just a childhood memory. 🥰
OH MY GOD, ANON, PLEASE... you have just simultaneously made and ruined my entire night. because, oh my god, WHAT AN OTP THEY TRULY ARE... #goals, for real, forever. but also. how the fuck am i supposed to stop thinking about this now?? huh?? how am i supposed to NOT want to immediately write 16k about their holidays through the years?? *melts into a sobbing puddle on on the floor* just, them. THEM, your honour. ❤️❤️❤️💙💙💙

They should keep making shitty atla remakes actually bc it makes the original continue to look better and better by comparison. The Storm tells both Aang AND Zuko's origin stories better in 20 minutes than the live action show did in like a whole cumulative hour spread across several episode. Like the original has plenty of issues but it looks like Shakespeare next to this garbage.

In one of your posts you talk about how (simply put) performance in general and kpop dance in particular always require some sort of acting. It reminds me of a concept of "duality" that kpop fans LOVE to bring up constantly in regards to their favourite idols. My problem with it is that it's usually used when comparing a person on stage and off stage. "Oh, he's so sweet and bubbly in real life, but he's so scary on stage! Duality king!"
Wouldn't that just be an expected part of performing? Not that it's not worth praising, but why have a separate word for it? And even if we use it for idols who can switch between different personas on stage, wouldn't that still be being simply good at acting? Do you think "duality" refers to anything tangible at all?
no it doesn't refer to anything, it's a fucking stupid 'concept' and it was literally just invented wholecloth by kpoppies who do not understand the concept of acting. point blank. the whole 'oh he has a different personality offstage!!!!' is literally just. acting. that's acting you absolute dipshits i don't know what to tell you other than how on earth do you fundamentally miss the very BASIC IDEA OF PERFORMANCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ITS TO BE A DIFFERENT PERSON FROM YOURSELF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! sorry this particular kpop stan turn of phrase makes me absolutely INCENSED like how. how are you so stupid. are they teaching NOTHING in schools anymore??? i know the answer to that is yes but it's still so disappointing. i know i shouldn't be so mean bc the majority of kpop fans are kids but it's just.............idk. it makes me really fucking upset about the future of performing and performing arts where people are heaping praise and lauding literally the most basic of skills.
