"Have you ever wished for another love?" Jaime asks Tywin on one night, particularly bold after wine and the dread of the future war curling in his throat.
Tywin doesn't know why Jaime is asking this, he's never taken a lover, not one that Tywin is aware of. And how Tywin regrets it.
Jaime is the most like Joanna out of everyone born of her womb. Cersi isn't Joanna, she never was and never will be. Cersi is a reflection, a poor one at that. Nothing that made Joanna, Lady Lannister, is ever present in the girl. Her viciousness comes from and it holds her over just like it does him.
The imp isn't anything to Tywin, but the only thing he has of Joanna is the way he holds his quill, having learnt it from Tywin by watching him. Tywin himself learnt it from Joanna; she held the quill using all but her pinky finger and he had found it ridiculous. Ridiculous enough to learn how to write like that, just to mock her.
The habit overtook his hand when she died. It was the same way he wrote the first missive to her father, informing him that she had died. He never stopped.
Jaime is...more. Jaime is more Joanna than anyone else.
His eyes are the same shade, as are Cersi's, but hers aren't animated. Jamie's eyes are the same shade of seafoam as Joanna's were when the sun hits them. Jaime has the enjoyment of life in him that Joanna did; the confidence that he excluded that was often childish and cocky, his habit of being unable to sit still for more than ten minutes.
Jaime still has love in his heart, still has hope bursting in his chest. Jaime still loves that imp, enough that the monster's first word was the name of his elder brother. Jaime still loves Cersi, enough that he decided to keep the white so he could look out for her in Robert's years. Oh, Tywin has known of this. Jaime hates the bloody white cloak and how it tainted him, it is laughably obvious. Jaime could have spent the rest of his years being the heir of the most prosperous Kingdom of the continent but chose not to, for Cersi. Jaime lied to his Maester about his inability to read correctly so he could spend time with Tywin, with an excuse.
Tywin remembers those days, days immediately after Joanna's death. Tywin knows. Jaime pretended often to not understand the words, but he had a tick that he'd inherited from Kevan, his bottom lip jutted out for a beat before he pursed his lips and pretended to look upset.
Kevan and Jaime both do that, even today.
He acknowledges the truth to himself. Out of all of his children, he has only ever loved Jaime. His son, holding onto the love of family and the respect of legacy and the importance of good decisions. His son, covered in blood and sitting on the Iron Throne, standing up because Tywin gestured him to. Giving up the Throne and the nation with one side eye from his father, because Jaime knew he wouldn't be able to handle the continent and the power wasn't in the throne away. Jaime, earning a debt from the new King even before the coronation.
Jaime, who smiled when Tywin ordered the Maester to look at his wounds as soon as they made it on the road to Casterly Rock. Jaime, who didn't scream even though he was wrapped in bandages to cure several burns on his body.
His son, who woke up in the middle of the night to see Tywin sitting beside him and writing and reading in the light of a single candle. Jaime, who held his father's wrist under the table for several meals and often brushed his finger against Tywin's pulse, as if reassuring himself that Tywin was alive.
Jaime, for whom Tywin left himself to be ordered around. Jaime, for whom Tywin would set the world afire.
"No," Tywin says,"I never had the time to."
Family didn't end with Joanna, Tywin feels, but it will end with Jaime. The only one who can love in this cursed family, the one who will leave the records of Casterly Rock more golden than even Tywin, because his history will be less cruel than what Tywin has written for himself.
He feels only pride when he looks at Jaime, even if he knows his son can be a fool for love. He feels regret, Cersi won't leave King's Landing, for she is addicted to the power, and Jaime will never leave her alone in that shit of a city.
Jaime will live in that hell and never again go home, all for his love.
He aborts the thought. A war requires them. He needs to leave.
"Jaime," he says as he stands up, pushing his hand against his son's warm cheek and making him look at Tywin. "You're a Lannister, and you will act like it. Tomorrow, you'll face this brat of a Stark, and you'll come back again. Make sure to kill him."

shoutouttttt to the inimitable @rowanisawriter for the tag!! what a delight. :)
tagging…@eelqueen, @lewdisescariot, @collegeoflore, @broscahawke, @kcwriter-blog, @galacticgraffiti, anddddd anyone else who wants to participate!! (as always, no pressure to those tagged <3)
1. Untitled Solavellan story
In his bliss he defaults to his mother tongue, pressing soft sounds to her skin with every kiss.
Emma sa’lath, he says, and ar lath ma, and bellanaris, and there are older, more intricate words she does not know, yet understands.
In the end, they all mean the same thing: I love you, I love you.
2. Ortolan (an Ascended Astarion/ Spawn Tav story)
She finds the kitchen and the larder and the buttery standing useless– though the rats, if they could speak, might disagree.
They’re busy gnawing at the stock of moldy scraps still in the pantry, hardly minding her approach until she’s on them. When they scatter, her eyes track them like a hunter, like an animal, an instinct she’s developed since her death.
She is stronger, swifter, sharper– as Astarion had promised– but there is violence softly shimmering beneath. She wants to tear at something, always, wants to follow something home. She wants to bite down hard enough to make her jaw ache.
3. Devotion (a Gale/ Tav story)
“I never was one for piety,” she says. In the low light her eyes glint like something sinful, something wicked, a knife in the dark. “So what now? Shall I beg forgiveness?”
Gale snorts. “Now that, I’d love to see.”
But she’s not laughing. She flicks those sharp eyes up to his and gods, it’s thrilling, how she pins him where he stands with just a look.
“On my knees, then?”
4. Colorless, Tasteless (a Lestat/ OFC story)
Lestat had been inside her too, but he was in her blood, and she in his. Even now she could feel him there, somehow, his essence pulsing through her body; she could taste him on her tongue and in her throat. The sensation was euphoric and all-encompassing, incomparable to anything this man, or any man alive could make her feel.
“Tu as si froid,” Henri was whispering. His pace had quickened, and he was fucking into her roughly now, his hands pressing hard into her hips. “Si froid.”
Some nights, before sunrise, Lestat would run his fingers through her hair and read to her in his native French until she fell asleep. She would practice while he was away, and when he came home he would drill her on words and phrases and kiss her any time she made a mistake. This meant that the learning was deliberately slow, but there were words she couldn’t forget, no matter how hard she tried.  Si froid, she thought. So cold.
5. Untitled Durgetash story
“Poison, was it? Isn’t that a little trite?”
She looks almost offended. “Not just any poison,” she scowls. “This one is delicate. Expensive. Liquifies the inside while the outside stays intact.”
She creeps closer with every word and finally crawls into his lap, close enough that he can smell her, a mix of iron and oleander. It makes him want to spread and pin her like a butterfly under glass.
“Still,” he sighs. “I thought I was special.”
“Oh, you are. It is a compliment that I want this pretty face of yours unmarred.”
6. Eastport (a Kendall/ Rava story)
“Can I come in?” Kendall asks. The circles around his eyes are as dark as Rava's ever seen them. “Please.”
“It’s late, honey.”
“I know,” he nods, “And I get that, it’s just that I’m fucking, like, wet and freezing, and I’m–” “Are you high?” The question, offered gently, still makes Kendall bristle.  “I’m good.” “That’s not what I asked.” He looks at her hard, half-stubborn, half-pleading. “I’m good.”
7. Nameday (simultaneously a Tyrion/ Tywin & Joanna story, told in multiple timelines)
Come midnight, Tywin can no longer bear her suffering.
“Is there nothing you can do?” he hisses, once he is beyond Joanna’s hearing.
The maester is up to his elbows in hot water. He scours himself of her blood and Tywin watches it darken the basin, first pink, and then red, and then black. “I assure you, my lord, I am doing everything that can be done.”
Tywin sees he is exhausted, too. The elder man’s skin is flushed and beaded with sweat, the chain around his neck suddenly too large and too heavy for his frame. Creylen hesitates a moment before speaking again, weighing the consequences of what he is about to say.
“Her condition is very grave," he says finally, cautiously. "And I fear for the child–”
Tywin holds up a hand.
“The child is not my concern. If you can only save one…” He glances to the bed across the room, where Joanna lies dying. Creylen understands.

2nd request: ''Hi, umm… I know that you’re probably busy with requests and asks, but um can you write Yandere platonic Lannisters with the Reader? If you can of course'' - send by Anon.
"Hear Me Roar." — House Lannister.
❝ 🦁— lady l: I'm sorry for the delay but I think you're used to it, right? Lol, I really apologize. These last few months have been absolute madness and my grandfather is sick, my father too and everything is out of control. Anyway, I hope you like these headcanons!
❝tw: obsessive and possessive behavior, mention of death by fire, threats and implied murder.
❝🦁pairing: yandere platonic!house lannister x gender neutral!reader.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
None of this was planned or thought through. Just happened. Your introduction to House Lannister just…happened. Some would say you were lucky, others that you were cursed to have to deal with this family, but none of that really mattered. It didn't matter because you're with them and they won't let you.
Contrary to what many people think, your family was already close in the right measure to the Lannisters, your family was from a House Vassal of the Lannisters so you already had a connection, but it wasn't really strong or similar to what it became in the next few years. Your mother was a close friend of Joanna's and both of them shared the pregnancy, you grew up alongside the twins and that was something that solidified the bond between the three of you.
You, Cersei and Jamie were inseparable. Though Tywin was initially apprehensive about this relationship, Joanna eased her husband's concerns by demonstrating how much she adored you too. It was quite common to see the three of you playing together at Casterly Rock for everyone's amusement. The three of you were never apart, and Cersei sulked when she was forced to say goodbye to you. She hated it.
Tywin was never really close to you, it wasn't because he had anything against you or anything, he was just distant. But that all changed when tragedy struck your family and you were forced to flee to the protection of the Lannisters. Your parents had apparently insulted the Mad King and, as a form of punishment, he had given orders to burn your family. You were the only one to survive because you were protected by Tywin and Joanna. They were your family now. Whether you want to or not.
Cersei was over the moon when she heard you were her sibiling now. And Jamie couldn't be happier to finally have you with them, really with them. Joanna didn't mind, she was happy and she really adored you and was quick to refer to you as hers, Tywin tried to be rational and the voice of reason saying you'd just stay with them until everything worked out, but nothing would work out, not after he became as obsessed with you as the rest of your family.
Joanna was a loving and very kind mother, she absolutely adored you and spoiled you in spades. You were allowed to do whatever you wanted and get away with no punishment. She tried to fight her growing obsession, she really tried out of consideration for her late friend but when you called her ''mother'' for the first time, there was no going back. You were hers from that moment on. She loves spending time with you, reading or doing whatever you like.
Tywin was an authoritative figure and that has never changed over the years, he has only the best for you in mind and that's why he is so strict, but he has a soft side that shows only to his wife and you. He tries to be as tough as his wife doesn't even try, but he will always give in to you. Especially if you look at him with tears in your eyes, his heart melts right there and he does what you ask on the spot. Just like Joanna, you can get away with whatever you do because to him you could never do wrong. You were perfect, and anyone who dared to disagree would find it no good to cross Tywin Lannister.
Jamie is the quietest of his family, he is the understanding brother with your feelings and is always there to protect and take care of you. He is the most protective of his family and he is very suspicious of anyone who tries to get too close to you. He will get into fights for you, feeling proud and triumphant when he gets your support during a fight. Jamie adores you so much, you're the closest thing to an understanding brother he's ever had and he'd be damned if he let anyone take you away. You were a Lannister and always would be.
Cersei is the most possessive and greedy of her family, she will do anything to get your attention and will fly into a rage if she doesn't get it. She hates sharing you with anyone other than her and her twin brother. Cersei might even see you as she sees Jamie, as an extension of herself and not really a person. Like a possession. Something that belongs to her and she's not the type to share. She loves spending time with you, talking, gossiping or just enjoying your company.
The whole family was happy, everyone adored you and you adored them. Everything was perfect. Tywin and Joanna were your loving parents and Cersei and Jamie your mischievous and clingy siblings. Everything was perfect like it's never been before. Until Joanna got pregnant again. Everyone was happy about her pregnancy, including you who were longing for a younger sibling. Cersei wasn't really happy about it all, seeing as you seemed to spend more time with mom than with her because of the pregnancy. Jamie had no problem with that, not like her sister, and just enjoyed this period of Joanna's life.
When the day of delivery finally came, it was difficult and painful, you were there the whole time and you saw Joanna Lannister die. Your mother. It was as if your world had collapsed, not just yours, but Tywin and the twins' as well. You welcomed with joy Tyrion, but your father and sibilings did not. They rejected him, treating him like nothing and blaming him for Joanna's death. During the long period of mourning, you were the only company Tywin sought out. You tried to comfort him and seek solace for yourself, you were the only one to witness the Lord of Casterly Rock's vulnerability.
You were Tyrion's only constant companion as he grew up, constantly despised by his family and those around him for being a dwarf, he clung to you more and more. You were the only person who really cared for him, the one who convinced Tywin and Cersei to act with a modicum of decency around Tyrion, at least while you're around.
Tyrion is the most abrasive of his family regarding his obsession with you, he knows very well that his feelings are wrong, to say the least, but he tries to control as much as he can, although he can't help but be so attached to you. He craves your attention and approval as he grows up and even as an adult that hasn't changed. He wants your approval, if he can't get it from his father then he wants his. He is very kind to you, but he is still a Lannister, and may the Seven have mercy on anyone who dares to harm you, for Tyrion would be sure to ruin them utterly.
All Lannisters are obsessed with you in their own way and have their own infighting, Tywin and Cersei want to keep you away from Tyrion as they are sure Tyrion will be your undoing, Jamie is happy to see that you care too about your brother and he makes sure you spend your days with him and Tyrion, much to the chagrin of your father and sister. They all fight each other and wouldn't mind killing each other to have you. But everything changes when there is a threat against you and they all quickly join together to get rid of that threat quickly and painfully. May the Seven forbid anything to happen to you, for you can be sure the whole family would go wild and most likely blame each other.
There are rumors that Tywin supported Robert Baratheon because of a personal revenge, some say it was because of what the Mad King did for your dead family, others say it's because Rhaegar insulted him. Rhaegar insulted him by wanting to take you as his spouse instead of Cersei, and Tywin could not allow that. He would not allow his beloved child to be taken from him. And Cersei agreed with that completely, she didn't want you to marry and leave her, Jamie didn't seem to mind too much but he doesn't like the idea of being taken away from you, as long as you were happy he would be fine. Tyrion is the most selfless and says that if you ever want to marry, he will support you, as long as it is someone he has highly valued. You are a Lannister and therefore you must have only the best and your family will ensure that. They promise you.

with sunlight in her hair
Lady Joanna was said to have been beautiful, with sunlight in her hair. As a child, Tyrion used to dream that had his mother lived, she would have loved him. But Tyrion never dreamed of his mother anymore. Doubtless she would have been as repulsed by him as his father was. And so I killed her he thought, so that she wouldn’t hate me.  But Tywin Lannister always paid his debts and the murder of his wife was one he did not take lightly. He laid in wait and bided his time. I took his wife, so he took mine.

When Modern Reader was accepted into the Lannister House, the Casterly Rock is beaming with love and joy and you can feel warmth coming from the Lannister family and Modern Reader. There are rumours about that and of course that brought attention to Kevan, Genna and Gerion Lannister (Tywin’s siblings). And of course they wanted to meet Modern Reader because they are curious about her. When they meet her, then they realised why Tywin and Joanna accepted her and why they are adoring her. Modern Reader would have tea with Joanna and Genna Lannister.
Modern Reader: Thank you, Lady Genna.☺️
Yandere platonic Genna Lannister: Your welcome, dear. Please, you can call me aunt Genna.🥰
Modern Reader: All right aunt Genna.😁
And later Genna would tell Joanna that Modern Reader is so adorable and Joanna would agree with her.
Tywin and Kevan would deal with some problems concerning with Westerlands, and Modern Reader suggests a solution, which sounds good.
Yandere platonic Kevan: Brother, why you didn’t tell us about your daughter? She’s smart despite being young.
Yandere platonic Tywin being proud of his child: You didn’t ask. I agree with you. My daughter is smart.
Yandere platonic Gerion Lannister (before he disappears of looking for Valyrian Lannister sword Brightroar) spends time with Modern Reader telling jokes and you can hear a laughter from outside. And I think Modern Reader would ask uncle Gerion not to go looking for Brightroar because it’s dangerous and she doesn’t want him to be gone (dead or go missing).
Of course Tywin and Joanna are happy that they accepted Modern Reader as well as Cersei and Jaime. So one day they decided to make a family portrait of House Lannister and everyone were there, Tyrion wasn’t born yet. Modern Reader was standing close to her parents and siblings. When the family portrait was finished, everyone enjoyed it.
Meanwhile Modern Reader is standing out among Lannisters. It’s NOTICEABLE how Modern Reader looks DIFFERENT from Lannisters. And Modern Reader also notices it, but all Yandere platonic Lannisters (Tywin, Joanna, Kevan, Genna, Gerion, Cersei, Jaime) tell “Y/N, you are Lannister and you always be a Lannister no matter what.” ☺️🥰😌🥰😉😊😊 (Modern Reader is about to cry with happy tears 🥹)
But of course there would be those who would say that Modern Reader is NOT a Lannister, saying “The lions have a cat, not a cub.”- which means as an insult. But Modern Reader doesn’t care, well because you shouldn’t mess with a cat, especially with a wild cat.
Tumblr media
All Lannisters love your reader and treat them as family. The Reader is the Lannisters' secret guardian angel. Honestly, I don't know who would want to deal with such an angry cat.😅

songfic tag game
thank you to the legendary @rowanisawriter for the tag!! as a chronic playlister, this lil tag game was so delightful to me. 🙂
ended up doing five fics, so i’ll tag @lewdisescariot, @eelqueen, @lavenderfluorite14, @kcwriter-blog, and @galacticgraffiti (as always, no pressure 💕)
Rules: Pick a song to accompany each of your fics or as many as you like. This might be the fic's inspiration or just pure vibes that you'd like to share with readers. Tag as many people as fics you feature (or do as you please!)
the merling queen: some pre-asoiaf scenes of cersei’s relationship with her lady mother. a little bitter, a little sweet.
new york, i love you, but you’re bringing me down: a(n unfinished) kendall and reader story. experimental. smutty with a side of melancholy.
all we do not say: gale and tav in the underdark. a bit of sentimentality, a bunch of yearning (my specialty).
any man’s bride: pre-asoiaf tywin and joanna lannister. joanna is matched with another suitor. tywin won’t allow it.
a light to break all shadows: halsin and tav in the shadowlands. nightmares, comfort, more yearning. the usual.

The thing about ships who look like one of the parent pair is that you can use their fanart for the children .
For example : you can use any ned x catelyn fanart for job x sansa , also any Tywin x Joanna fanart can be viewed as Cersei x Jamie Lannister. It's kind of cute !!!!

REUNION
Ok I'm late for the party but I want to party too so I shall post the promps for the next week let's thank @albinokittens300 for the fantastic idea!
Tumblr media
REUNION: part 1, The Lannisters.
When Tyrion Lannister the third was born his mother felt despair for him: what broke Joanna’s heart wasn’t her son's achondroplasia, it was his soulmark. Normally any mother would be happy to have birthed a child with a soulmark: they were destined for greatness by the seven, they were wise as this hadn’t been their first life and there was someone out there that would die for them. But not for her baby boy it was too small for her to make sense of, if he grew they might learn who he might have been once or who his soulmate was, but its smokey color told her all she had to know… It was unrequited love: his soulmate had rejected him in their last life. How could anyone grow up happy knowing that the one the gods had chosen for them had foregone them?
Tywin wasn’t sure how he felt about his youngest: his soulmark told him and the world that the babe was destined for greatness, but also that his life shall be marked by tragedy. He had never been an overtly religious man, but after the birth of Tyrion he cursed the gods both the seven, the old, the drowned one and R'hollor: if they wanted to punish him they could, but they should leave his sons out of it. After brooding for a while the Lord Paramount of the West returned to his wife's bedside and found her crying in despair.
“Please Joanna, don’t cry.” He begged his beloved.
“Why Tywin? Why? Who could be so cruel as to disavow their other half?” The man knew that there was no answer to what she asked him so he pulled her close carefully as he looked at their son in the crib.
“Don’t despair my love: he shall be loved. He is ours, he is a Lannister and we will teach him that the mark on his skin doesn’t decide everything in his life. Yes he is destined to be great, yes by being marked he shall be the next Lord Lannister, yes there is someone that the gods believed to be his that wasn’t, but we weren’t marked by them do you think I love you any less because of it?” He asked his wife who shook her head.
“Of course not! I love you as you love me: I don’t need any mark to tell me it!” Joanna said passionately, causing her usual stoic husband to smile at her.
“Let us show him that a mark isn’t final.” Tywin whispered to his wife who nodded and he held her until she fell asleep.
He stood up and gently lifted his son from the crib where he laid asleep and took him into his arms. “You are my son: you shall be great, you are a lion, a Lannister: a mark won’t have the final say in your life. You will have it: let the world hear you roar.” He whispered to the baby as he caressed his sandy blond locks with some gold, silver and even black peppered through the tuft of hair, and then Tyrion yawned in his fathers arms before accommodating himself and signing contently. “We shall work on your roar little one.”
______________________________________________________________
Jamie at 11 knew that his baby brother would be special from the moment his parents told him he would be a big brother. He was surprised when his parents took him aside to give him the news, but he was happy he would protect the baby from anyone who would try to harm him! Just like the knights of old! He would even work extra hard with his teacher so that he could read the baby bedtime stories and when the baby was older Jamie would show them the best games and the best places to hide: they would be best friends!
He was very excited to share the news with his cousins and aunts and uncles! His parents allowed him to tell the rest of the family: while his parents congratulated his parents he went to his cousins to talk to them and tell them how happy he was. His cousins congratulated him well; those his age, Gerion, Tyrek, Cinthia and Tyrish didn’t really understand what was happening, only that there would be a new baby. He was happily speaking with Lancel, Tion and Martyn about becoming a big brother when Cersei, his favorite cousin, interrupted them.
“You can’t be seriously happy can you Jamie?” She asked him with a sneer.
“Why not? I’ll be the best big brother there is in all of Westeros! We’ll be the happiest family ever!” Exclaimed Jamie, confused at his favorite cousin's anger.
“You are really naive if you believe that for even one second Jamie, that or you are still a baby yourself!” Screamed the blonde.
“What? Why?” Asked the boy with tears in his green eyes.
“Because it’s obvious that the baby is an accident! I haven't heard the adults talk about Uncle Tywin and Aunt Joanna wanting another baby!”
“Cersei!” Exclaimed Kevan, embarrassed by the scene his daughter was causing. He saw his brother clenching his fists and jaw in anger, but he relaxed under Joanna’s touch.
“Kevan, Tygett, Genna I believe it’s best if you leave for now. I can see that some of the children are getting cranky due to lack of sleep. And Cersei: just because we never spoke about our desire for another child doesn’t mean we didn’t desire one. It’s very arrogant to assume you know what me and your aunt want and it's bad manners to listen to the conversations between your elders.” Declared Tywin with a voice colder than any winter in the true north. “Jamie, come with us son, you may choose our deserts.” he added in a gentle manner. Jamie just nodded while he cleaned any tears with his shirt before running towards his mothers arms.
After that dinner Cersei apologized, but Jamie felt it to be false and he never forgot what she said even if he forgave. Half a year after telling the family about the baby Jamie was 12 and he was staying with his aunt Genna because his parents were at the hospital waiting for his siblings birth. He was anxious, his parents had told him that they would stay at the hospital a few days with the baby after it was born and that he had to be good to his aunt Genna wile he stayed over and help her with Tion and Cinthia, his father would call him once the baby was born and the next day his father would come to take him to meet the baby. Jamie jumped up from where he was playing mario kart with Tion when his phone rang and the ID called said dad.
“Dad!” Exclaimed the boy happily.
“Hello son, how are you?” Asked his father, he sounded tired.
“I’m good! You? How are mom and my sibling? Do I have a baby brother or a baby sister?” Asked the 12 year old boy.
“Hold your horses son. I’m good, thank you. Your mother and Tyrion are healthy, you have a brother as you must know due to his name.” He heard his father’s answer before he started celebrating jumping up and down while his aunt looked amused at the scene and Tion jumped up and down with his older cousin.
“Jamie! Jamie! Jamie!” Came from the phone.
“Sorry dad…” Apologized Jamie feeling embarrassed.
“Don’t worry son, can you pass me your aunt? I need to talk about some things with her.”
“Sure! Bye dad, love you and mom and Tyrion.” Said Jamie before giving his mobile phone to his aunt who gave him a smile and a kiss on his forehead accepting the phone.
The next day Jamie saw his father, he looked tired but that didn’t bother the boy much his aunt had explained that babies were loud and needed much attention and Tion had complained about how Cinthia would keep him awake when she was little, he didn’t realize how the serious conversation his father and aunt where having stopped abruptly. Once Jamie was in the car with his father, his father started explaining him about Tyrion: how he would never be as tall as other children or adults, how he was born special he had a soulmark and all that came with it Tywin also explained how this meant that the next Lord Lannister would be his baby brother (which was fine by him he didn’t want the castle nor the responsibilities that came with being lord it was bad enough that dad wanted him to be the next head of LannisCorps) he was told the his brothers other half had rejected him in their last life and how it would probably happen again in this so he made Jamie promise to help his mother and him and show Tyrion that the mark didn’t show if he was worthy of love or not.
When Joanna showed little Tyrion to Jamie the older brother couldn’t understand how anyone could decide that he wasn’t worthy to be loved and he vowed by the seven that he would be Tyrion's best friend and protector and he’ll show him how worthy of love he was!
Jamie celebrated every single milestone of his brother even more so than his parents! He was Tyrion's first word: well the word had been Jay, but it's still counted. The rest of the family was very happy with his baby brother, except Cersei who told him that Tyrion was a monster and how couldn’t he see it? The baby had already usurped his place as lord of the rock: what did it matter to her that Jamie never wanted to be lord of the rock nor that Tyrion was the rightful heir by the laws of the seven… Trouble with Cersei aside, Jamie was proud of his baby brother: Tyrion was smart and clever and it seemed as if being smaller than normal didn’t bother him. Until his fifth birthday Tyrion was a happy boy ,even if when he was smaller he claimed to have dragon dreams, extremely smart for his age, but after his fifth birthday Tyrion changed not much, but Jamie noticed and their parents too. Jamie suspected what might be happening: Tyrion was dreaming of his last life and shortly his suspicions turned true… one sunday morning Tyrion came into the living room crying and asked him and their parents why they loved a monster like him. Once Tyrion was calmed by their mother he told them what was wrong, in his dreams his father and siblings hated him because he had killed his mother when he was born: their parents explained to him that his last (?) family were wrong, sometimes a mother dies giving birth and that it wasn’t the fault of the baby and whoever believed so was stupid.
As the years went by Jamie noticed slight changes in his brother: he slept only the necessary, he was smarter by the day, he knew things he shouldn’t at his age  and his manners were impeccable, but even if Tyrion would always smile and joke and be his happy self it looked as if something weighed him down. Their parents told him that it was normal: Tyrion could remember another life and from the things they had been told his last life had been long ago, before the north became part of the seven again!, and in those times children were not children for long, not even nobles.
______________________________________________________________
Tyrion had known his whole life he was different: he was cursed by a mark that showed the world, if he ever decided to leave his wristband off that is, that he wasn’t worthy of love or at least not true romantical love. His family, this one, had shown him nothing but love and they praised his work and efforts, even his father.
But he knew better due to his dreams he knew what he was capable of and that scared him. The soulmark alone he could live with even if it taunted him, not even the one the seven had chosen for him was able to love him, but the dreams they haunted him. He knew that he wasn’t the same Tyrion as the one from his dreams yet he was ...and much of with they had done was due to external pressure and the social norms of that time: his parents made sure to sit him down and explain nature vs nurture to him in detail once they realized how much he struggled with his dreams.
When he was twelve name days no years old he decided that he would take the reins of his destiny: he would use what he learned from his dreams and use it in his favor. None told him what to do, except his parents and maybe Jaime. But even after he took that decision and swore that he would never look for his soulmate his mark wouldn’t stop burning: most of the time pleasantly and others it hurt… Even if he wanted to deny it he wouldn’t go looking for his soulmate because she would reject him or she had done so already in their last life, but because he loved her he could never make out what she looked like, but she was beautiful ethereal and deserved much more than a dwarf.
Next part are the Starks! This was supposed to be a one shot, but I got carried away and it shall become a triology, lol. No Beta.
