He doesn't do casual sex, at all. He needs an emotional connection first, is it so hard to believe that an attractive person actually wants to connect to someone instead of fucking them? Or fucking their problems away? Is it really so hard to believe that an attractive person can also be intelligent? Can also be kind? Can also be selfless? Can also take care of themself? Can also be a functioning adult? Can also be mature? Can also be damn fucking good at their job? Have yall ever met a real person before?

Dick is Romani and one of the most well known stereotypes about the Romani people are that they are like magically alluring people that can't keep their hands to themselves or that they're like thieving, dumb, dirty animals and what did yall reduce Dick down to? An overly emotional, stupid, pretty slut that acts without thinking.

You know just because something is racist in canon doesn't mean you have to take that and amplify it by 100 in fanon, right? Like the shit I have seen on this website alone, the takes that just won't stop, are literally so much more racist than anything you would ever find in canon. And good God, it's not like you have to make his race the forefront of his character! It's not! No one's is, that would be bad characterization. But should his being Romani affect the way you portray him? Should there be certain things you can be considerate about? Should being Romani be part of his identity? Uh, yeah.

And also. Should you maybe consider what he's actually like in canon to characterize him within fandom spaces? Uh, YEAH.

Dick Grayson is a romantic at heart, is extremely private, and cherishes the emotional connections he has with people. He is a good person because he chooses to do good things. He wants to help people! He's literally a genius, I mean this in every possible sense, academically, physically, emotionally, strategically, picking up and mastering skills with ease, being a detective... that doesn't mean he doesn't have problems. He's an extreme workaholic. He will never talk about his own problems to his friends or family, just the occasional therapist. He's so good with people, he knows exactly how to manipulate situations into his favor, to his own detriment. He will never give up on you, to his own detriment. He bottles up his emotions deeply, and yes, occasionally he does explode. He has a guilt complex the size of the sun. Everything is his fault in his head, Everything. He will accept the blame for anything, for his own rape even, because he's Dick Grayson and hey, he should've known, he should've been able to tell. (This is specifically talking about Miriam).

Everyone puts him on a pedastal because he's the guy that can actually pull off the impossible and no one but him realizes just how high that pedastal is. Bruce wants to be him, thinks there is literally no one better than him, no one who could soar higher than him, the ideal hero. His hero.

Goddamn Superman thinks he's the one person in the universe that will almost always do the right thing at the right time across every universe. And I don't mean that he will BE the right person at the right time, I mean he will DO the right thing at the right time, because Dick believes in the power of choices! Of free will! He could do bad things just as easily as the people around him, he could choose to be cruel because that is literally so. much. easier.

But he doesn't.

Almost ever.

In nearly every universe.

Do you know how much pressure that is? He drowns under the weight of his own perfection, truly. He can't fail.

He can't fail.

Isn't that so unbearably sad? You spend your whole life reassuring other people that everyone gets second chances, and that you are not your worst moment, and that you deserve compassion even at your most despicable, and that everyone makes mistakes, and sometimes things are inevitable, and sometimes all you can give is your best.

You are the only person. Who does not receive that same mercy.

He can't fail.

His family treats him as an emotional punching bag, sometimes a physical punching bag. Occasionally, so will his friends. It's hard to see the person behind the legend. And Dick's legend is truly titanic in proportions... the first child hero. No one could've done it, if he hadnt done it first. If he hadnt done it so exceedingly well. And then he had his own hero team. And then he became his own hero, again. And then he had his own city. He did it all first. The literal trailblazer, lighting the way for everyone else, not letting anyone stop him. Not waiting for anything. A force of nature.

Everyone wants to be him, be liked by him, be acknowledged by him. They all rely on him, the linchpin of a universe. Dick really is like the sun. Warm, encouraging, revitalizing. He is the light in the dark, illuminating and intense. Focused. Powerful. And they are all caught in his gravitational field.

Dick is so much more interesting than anything fandom will spare him. God, what I would give for fandom to give even a 10th of actual attention and critical thought to him or any other poc character in this franchise, that fandom gives to the white characters. I mean, we've all seen it. The narrative fabricated through lies that 95% of fandom takes as gospel because they refuse to engage with canon or simply don't care because it favors their favorite characters. In case you don't know, I am in fact talking about fanon jason todd- aka meaner Dick Grayson with Helena Bertinelli's lifestyle and fanon tim drake- aka less athletic, more victimized Dick Grayson. The white fandom darlings, extremely woobified, you know how it is. Sigh.

I'm just gonna say it, I'm not that optimistic about James Gunn's the brave and the bold and maybe that's just because I love Dick.. He said he was inspired by Morrison's run as Batman with Damian as Robin but the main appeal of that specific era, as in Morrison with Damian as Robin was that it was a DickBats story. it wasn't Bruce under the cowl, it was Dick and the dynamic duo was reversed.

Morrison did write Bruce as Batman but not with Damian. Tim was still his Robin and then Bruce "died" was sent back in time.

So I'm worried. It feels like we are giving the storyline of another character to Bruce and I don't necessarily like that ? Because Bruce has so many more stories to take from, stories with Damian as Robin.

Unless they are doing Batman Inc ? I hope not either.... I kinda hate the entire concept.

Also Morrison retconned Talia to be a rapist and that just doesn't sit right with me. Let's hope he doesn't take that part of the story.

I wanna talk about the loneliness of being trans and intersex.

It's lonely just growing up trans alone, and the same with intersex.

If you are in any of these groups, you'll find yourself a stranger to almost everyone around you. But generally you'll be able to still find big groups filled with people like you.

But the intersection of these two groups is small. And both groups don't often understand each other.

I think it's very common for trans people to in times of great pain, consider going back to before you transitioned, especially if you don't have many people around you.

But if you're also intersex, especially if you have a condition that's more impactful and harder to miss.

You don't have anywhere to return to. And when you look to other trans people, you find no one with bodies like yourself.

You're not quite trans, and you're not quite cis. Even among the people you're supposed to be like, you're a stranger.

And as someone with an extremely rare intersex condition that also isn't externally visible. It's easy to also doubt it is even real, doesn't matter how much proof you have of it.

But even when the doubt isn't there, you just can't find anyone like yourself out there.

It hurts to find myself forgotten in both groups I'm supposed to be apart of. Almost no matter where I go, I'm alone.

Intersex cis people, as much as that might seem contradictory to some.

They don't grow up constantly being told they aren't what they claim to be the same way trans people are. No matter how much I want to just ignore my trans exprience and the label. Being trans is still a huge part of how I've grown up.

I've been beaten belittled and even raped for claiming to be what I am, I can't just throw that away. But even then, I am not like perisex trans people. My body really does work differently.

My transition once I actually started was nigh instant. I don't struggle with passing, I don't struggle with my voice. I don't struggle with being seen as a woman now, and I barely ever did, even before my transition.

And even though this sounds wonderful to so many trans people who do struggle with these things, and don't get me wrong. I am infinitely thankful of it.

It also makes me lose out on shared experiences. It still makes me feel alien in trans communities.

The irony of "having it easier" making things harder, it's not lost on me. And for how much I thought this would make me happy, it has not. Not at all. Instead I just feel more isolated than ever.

Berserk (manga) has a very odd relationship with sexual violence in that it shows rape graphically and long drawn out in a way that makes it feel more like hentai than horror. But also having one of the bigger themes of all the main characters personas being having had sexual violence aimed at them - and it's realistically portrayed as extremely traumatic and destructive to every one of them leading to long standing psychological issues, as well as being some of the main reasons for seeking revenge and the story itself

I wish sometimes manga author's talked more about the meaning in their works the way literature authors might do because I know the author is dead and I wish I knew if there was a point or just a symbol of ultimate violence

I need to write down the timeline of Zouey and Nant + Phop. Might edit this post along my rewatch:

Zoueys Birthday, 18. September 2023:

Zouey started to have a crush on Jason, they started chatting in September

the guys pestered Nant about his virginity too, so Nant didn't start sleeping with the playboyys and taking drugs yet either

nothing happened at that time yet but:

"Why do I have to go all the way back to last year? That's when it started"

April:

2024 or 2023 ?? (since Thai New Year is in April, April 2024 still counts as "last year" from a 2024 pov I guess)

The circumstances are still foggy here. (That said I am glad we didn't have to see that scene on screen). But I need more information how sentence 1 and sentence 2 are relevant to each other. Also how they got from texting to meeting. Zouey told Teena that he tried to have sex with someone but it didn't end well. Is that what happened or was it a "different version" he told Teena. (before someone asks, yes it's relevant for the plot and characterization)

Zouey is mad and disappointed at Jason (but as we know still has a crush on him)

Nant was the only one knowing about it "that's the reason he couldn't stay"

Nant is in debt

after taking Soongs drugs, nobody wanted to help him with he got involved with Nuth and drug dealing

so we are talking about him being in debt with Jason for throwing out his drugs to not get busted by the cops

might there be an ulterior motive of Nant to use this to get Jason behind bars so he doesn't have to pay the debt anymore?

not saying he wouldn't have exposed him anyways but it's convenient

Nant asked Zouey to come out as witness

-> him as witness sounds a bit as if there are more... well we audience know later about Porsche. But did Nant know? Could be possible since Nant and Porsche lived together before the others joined and they seemed close then according to Porsche. Yet something happened that Porsche is pissed at him. Porsche didn't seem to know that Nant wanted to expose Jason... or did he? (side note: Zouey did not know about Porsche being Jasons "sugar baby" / other victim, if we believe his surprised reaction in ep11)

Zouey didn't want Nant to expose Jason / what happened to Zouey, so he suggested Nant to fake his suicide instead to get out of the debt

Nants fake suicide & the time Nant went missing

Nant came back home to see Zouey & packed his stuff to go abroad after the video was done

Zouey told Jason to kidnap Nant for whatever warped messed up crush feelings he still has for this man

Nant was in the VIP room of Playboyy, held by Jason the whole time

assuming the party of episode 1 is Zoueys birthday again? So we start episode 1 around 5 months later after he got raped by Jason and Nant disappeared?

Nont arrives to investigate Nants disappearance

Zouey frees Nant from the VIP room (because Nont is sniffing around)... when Nant asks Zouey why he is here, Zouey refuses to answer:

Zouey got a ticket for Nant to the states via his mom, Nants & Nonts dad lives in the states

... look at him feeling guilty then when Nant hugs him and tells him that Zouey is always treating him the best. WHILE simultaneously we hear ep14 Zoueys guilty voiceover to that image, knowing that Nant indirectly got killed because of his stupid plan. PLUS this is just a few moments away from Nant getting killed by Phop.

Phop kills Nant in ep8

which happens after Nont held them both at gun point

after Nuth reveled the suicide video and the issues he had with Nant

but I don't think Phop recognizes Nant, since he wears a mask when they run into each other

it cut's back to the talk with Nuth, Phop promising him that he's not losing the drugs

Phop is shocked when he takes Nants mask off at the end, so he did not know it was him (or he didn't expect him to die) ... he just didn't want to get busted or robbed... I mean Nant does look shady here

News announced that Nants body was found

at the end of ep9

he was found naked in a forest near Rangsit, had been dead for 48 hours

side note Teena x Zouey

Zouey finally agrees to have sex (all the way) with Teena at the end of ep7 (did he know then that Jason comes back soon?). After Zouey confesses him that he is his muse and that Teena is the only one allowed in his art room. Teena is not as perfect as the image Zouey has in his head but he likes him despite that. (lets hope Zouey doesn't compare Jason & Teena 🤐). It was very unusual of Playboyy to not show their sex scene here despite it being a long awaited moment for the characters (and audience). They witheld Jump x Porsches first time too. We only saw that when it became relevant later in a flashback to define their relationship dynamic. I wonder if the Teena x Zouey scene will be revealed in the continuation / special / season 2 ... We got to see later sex scenes between these two after that. Where Zouey is more dominant, tho he did show some of that already earlier in ep7 during their art picnic.

Jason is back in ep10

Zoueys art exhibition is his big dream

back then we thought he wants to do the exhibition in Jasons office for investigation reasons but nah... that's actually the opposite of what he wants. He's kind of a double agent here. Zouey wants the investigation to stop so his scholarship and exhibition doesn't get endangered (which is linked to Jasons goodwill.. affection). When Zouey is shocked about the reveal between Porsche and Jason, his first question to Porsche is "What you said isn't true, right? Your adoptive father doesn't sleep with you, right? He doesn't hurt you, right?"

Now is this actual worry for his friend or also worry for himself and his plans?

He desperately needs this exhibition to happen for some reason. Presumably to impress someone? To prove it to someone or to himself? His parents? Maybe Jason? (Aob is / was the same with Jason, his obsession to be number 1 in Playboyy. Might be a manipulation thing Jason does, to make people fall in love with him to make them do what he wants). With Porsches earlier voiceover about the opportunity to work with Jason, we constantly saw Zouey beaming up at him. Indicating that this might be his goal.

Later Zouey tells Jason that he wants the exhibition theme to be nudes but Jason smiles and says that's not working with the schools image.

In ep14 we see Zouey having beef with Den the school director, also about the theme of the exhibition being nudes and not "deep enough" for the schools image.

Zouey & Jasons private interactions ep11

Zouey has extreme respect for Jason, is intimidated by him even but still has a crush on him AND his future depends on this man (big ass power imbalance and abuse if we ever saw one)

Later we have this interaction between Jason and Zouey, also very in character and plot. When Zouey once again asks about a nude exhibition. Jason asks if Zouey will be the model. But Zouey is the artist not the model.

this is a weird thing to say when Nant was the only one knowing about Jason and him. Maybe he slipped here, projected again like in ep1. Or maybe there is more we don't know yet but the baddie bunch knows about. Maybe that wasn't about Jason.

I mean with this mean ass cliffhanger they left us sitting in the finale, there is definitely still some stuff left open for Zouey...

Do you think that Edward can differentiate between genuine impulses and intrusive thoughts? Can he sense intent at all? I've had some pretty horrific intrusive thoughts due to mental illness. Like you've said, people think things that they'd never do but intrusive thoughts are much more intense, so less "ugh, I'd love to slap her" and more "what would happen if I pushed her into traffic?" Considering that Edward has been to medical school you'd think that he'd have SOME insight, but then again--he judges literal children for not being perfect saints in their own personal minds that HE'S violating, unwillingly or not.

I think he probably can now. But in the early days? How would he know?

It's interesting to me to think about those vampires with psychic gifts in the early days because like, it must have been a lot to learn and figure out. Sure, Alice had premonitions as a human so maybe it wasn't that much of a learning curve for her, but most of them gifts got enhanced to such an extent that it must have been really confusing. Edward hearing thoughts that aren't his, Jasper feeling emotions that aren't his, etc.

It does make me wonder about Edward's vigilante era, as that was still fairly early in his vampire life. Now SM says on the Lexicon that he was only going after the worst of the worst, serial killers and serial rapists, not someone who killed someone once and had a guilty conscience or whatever. But she also says, in the Guide, that Edward's first victim was Esme's abusive ex-husband. And while I guess it's possible he was secretly a serial killer or something in addition to being an abusive asshole, Edward couldn't have known that when he decided to kill him. So how strict was he on the SERIAL part, really? And did he ever get confused by some intrusive thought that the person never had any intention of actually acting on?

(Does Edward mention Charles in Midnight Sun? I can't remember and don't have a copy handy to check.) But I think in the present day Edward knows the difference between truly murderous thoughts and intrusive ones. He's not going to necessarily go into a panic when he hears them now, they probably do have a different 'flavor' than other thoughts. But I could totally imagine it took him awhile to figure that all out.

I have been wanting to tell anyone about this series of events at work. The story doesn't start with me, an ex-coworker who was a Lead and was the one who checked in Julius the dog for a month-long stay. It is well known that his owner Mario is a bit of an Eccentric old Queen. He thinks he's a vampire and other shit. Whatever. He's checking his dog in and mentions he's going to Colombia to find a husband and do cocaine.

Okay go off, if I were retired and lonely I'd probably do something similar. I know he's lonely because every time he comes in he starts the same conversation about how all his family is dead and he's single.

Clearly, he's a bit out there, but if I was a retired old gay like him I'd have some fun too. Whatever. The owner calls our partnered trainer for a few sessions. A few weeks go by and for the third training session, he's not answering. Really weird for him, but we chalk it up to him avoiding roaming fees.

Our trainer finishes his allotted training since he didn't answer to add more. She calls multiple times for 3 days, and she wants the extra money. This is very important.

We get a call from one of Julius's emergency contacts since s in South America saying that Julius is going to be staying for another 3 weeks, and now his stay is two months. Mario has to pay us the current total to prevent abandonment, Joe's friend gets the money wired and the stay is extended, he's using Facebook Messenger as his communication method. So it takes a whole day to do this Totally get it when I got back to my home country. I do the same with Whatsapp. This is normal, this is fine! We extended the stay.

Three weeks pass and we get another call from the same agent, Julius is staying one more night, and Mario's flight got canceled. Annoying since the dog is nasty and a pest (affectionate) but we extend the stay.

He comes in to pick up his dog the next day straight from the airport (not that far it's maybe 20 minutes away). He starts chatting with the Manager, Assistant Manager, and me. He's talking about drinks food, and hotel price. He keeps making a point about the currency exchange rate. USD to COP. So cheap to him. The Assistant and I eye each other we're both Latino so this is annoying.

Then he starts ranking about how he hired security to escort him through all the major cities of the country, Medellin, Cali, and Bogota. All with heavily armored guards.

Our computers start fucking up so the invoice has to be inserted manually, my Manager does it. This is when he starts talking about how dangerous it was in Colombia, how that's why he hired guards ( he had pictures, lots of them, lots and lots). Now I'm uncomfortable. Colombia isn't as dangerous as he's making it out to be, normal people live normal lives and tourism is huge!

By then I'm praying to Jesus and his baby daddy too, as he admits to drunk driving and running over a dog. Then he starts calling the locals whores? How everyone was pimping out their kids and everyone and their mother were forced into sex work because of poverty. Everyone was greedy and envious. I'm trying not to leap over the counter and beat the shit outta this guy.

Then he starts talking about how the main purpose of his trip was to go find a husband. He was proposed to by 2 guys, he showed us the rings (ugly as the man wearing them) and emphasized again how "they were all so fucking greedy". How everyone wanted to talk and be near him because he was popular and had money.

I try to veer the conversation away from that but he goes back to the shit load of drugs and sex he had. My Assistant manager leaves around here.

Now for the pièce de résistance.

He starts detailing how he got KIDNAPPED by a "family" (I'll sell my left kidney if they actually were a real family)

He was fucking ransomed for 7K USD and proceeded to explain that he was kept subdued with sex. This explains his mystery absence and random ass extension AND how his friend was the only one who could be contacted. As well as the obscene amount of money paid in full to extend Julius's stay. This guy is fucking loaded and he was showing it off so much that someone noticed he's as stupid as they come and kidnapped him.

Sweet baby Jesus. But it gets worse.

This is your reminder not to censor words in tags because it blatantly defeats the point of tagging something so users can filter it out.

E.g; tag something with rape, not r*pe or r@p3.

Great. Except now they're forced to see your whole rape-based post because its not being filtered by their settings because you censored the word rape so they didn't have to see it. So rather than just seeing the word once in the filtered post alert, they're seeing your entire post and however much detail it has.

"Well they can just censor out both!"

Why? Why should someone have to filter out 1593734 variations of a word instead of just 1? Why should they have to censor two words when you could just type out one and save hundreds of people the additional effort?

Nobody needs protecting from the tag itself. Stop censoring the tags.

i just went to see dune 2 with my dad, i have never seen dune 1. these are my thoughts on a movie i had absolutely no context for:

-why does it open with them napping in a desert

-creepy mom just has convos with a fetus it’s so funny

-speaking of creepy mom she was wild like “start with the most afraid” girl what???? i know your starting a cult but you could at least be slightly normal about it

- she feels freudian to me

-the bug people are lead by drax from guardians of the galaxy

-i love the blue worm juice that gives you blue eyes and hallucinations.

-zendaya is way to good for this dude oh my god. when he like talks about marrying creepy rapist girl (who i will get to, i have thoughts) infront of zendaya and everyone she knows. timothy would not need to dual the bald serial killer. i would have gutted his ass so fast if he had done that to me

-i wish she was allowed to say fuck so she could curse someone out. i saw it in her eyes she wanted to tell creepy mom to go fuck herself so bad

overall i did enjoy the movie. the music and visuals fucked, but also i understood basically none of it. please explain to me what was actually happening

Thank you for the compliment ! ^3^ Unfortunately, I don't have much headcanons about Revy ? Or, rather, I don't think about it so much, if that makes sense ?

With the few hints we were given about her backstory, overall I tend to think that :

she killed her dad and the cop who raped her ?

she went to prison for some time (confirmed in the arc with Feng)

she's really close friends with Eda despite how much they bicker sometimes

she's also kinda friends with Shenhua, Sawyer and Lotton despite how weird that sounds even to me xDDD

she definitely has a crush on Rock though I doubt that she noticed it herself, as of right now in the story

she used to be a stripper in a BDSM show to make a living (I think that's also confirmed but it's been a while since I read the series from the start), which is why she was so good at it in Shaitane Badi and in the arc with Feng

maybe she'll be the one to kill Jane someday (but that would mean that she and Benny would become enemies and no one wants that)

I also always wondered how she and Dutch met, as well as who taught her to use two guns (becoming known as "Two Hands Revy"), but I have yet to think of believable ideas. x)

Anyway, that's all. She's really the soul of the Black Lagoon series (with Rock obviously), but the fact that BL subverts gender norms makes her even more extra special as a heroine in my opinion.

Amazing how everyone on Team Green is supposed to just “get over” the absolutely horrendous things Team Black does to them, but Team Black is fully justified in everything they do.

Criston Cole is still upset that Rhaenyra coerced him into sex even after he said no? (Otherwise known as, raping him.) He should just get over it, she’s a strong and powerful woman who is allowed to say no even after she denied him that same choice. Why should she give up the things she values just because she forced him to give up something he valued?

Aemond is angry that Lucerys bullied him, attacked him 4v1, and cut out his eye, leaving Aemond permanently disabled and likely with chronic pain? Who cares! Lucerys was only a child, and he faced… Well, okay, he didn’t face even a hint of a consequence, but still! His mom is Rhaenyra, so he can do what he wants just like she can! And he was totally justified in everything he did to Aemond because… Aemond… spoke a truth that was obvious to anyone with eyes and a lick of common sense, then later claimed a dragon that was now unclaimed?

If they should just get over these horrific and traumatizing events, shouldn’t Team Black be able to get over things too? Lucerys died on a mission he never should have been sent on in the first place? Whatever, Rhaenyra has other children, just grow a better bond with one of them! Aemond had a spare eye, Rhaenyra has spare sons, that’s how it works, right?
