"Don't Leave Me Here"

Day 20 - Trunk, Gagged, Camping
[masterlist]
CW: abandoned whumpee, confined spaces, restrained, gagged, gun, whipping, two whumpees,
Tumblr media
The car was at an incline for what felt like hours, twisting and turning along a bumpy road, tossing Whumpee around like a ragdoll in the trunk.
It was hot. Whumpee was sweating, trying to keep their eyes open as they took deep breaths in their nose of the stale, dry air. Loud music radiated from the car's cabin, interrupted by random static as they ascended.
Whumpee closed their eyes and concentrated on the noise. It was the only way to keep the dizziness at bay.
Then the car stopped, and Whumpee opened their eyes to the dark of the trunk and waited. The car shook as the two bodies exited, then shook again when they slammed the doors.
Their muffled voices rounded the car, approaching the trunk.
Then Whumpee saw light, and squinted, taking a deep breath of fresh air.
Two rough hands grabbed them and pulled them out of the trunk. Their bare feet hit dirt and rock, and they were pushed forward, motivated by a gun at their back.
Their spine popped as they straightened to walk, taking in the sight of trees and a small camper parked between them.
Whumpee felt a wave of relief as the nausea passed, but it was short lived as a wail of agony erupted through the trees.
"Keep walking."
The gun pushed into Whumpee's back and they took another step forward, landing on the top of a rock. They stumbled and crashed to the ground, unable to use their bound hands to cushion the fall.
They pushed a pained groan through the gag in their mouth, partly distracted by the scream.
Their eye looked toward the camper, trying desperately to find the source.
They felt hands gripping their arms again, pulling them up and shoving them forward. They kept walking. The camper grew closer, and the three broke the treeline with Whumpee in front.
Another scream. Their head whipped to their right, falling on a body chained to a large tree. The back littered with fresh red slashes.
Standing in front of that body was Whumper, shirtless with jeans clinging to their waist by a belt that was too tight, holding a six-foot long whip in their hand.
They glanced over at Whumpee, smiling briefly. Drops of blood speckled their skin.
"Good. Put them there," They ordered, pointing to another tree a few paces away. The chains were bolted into discolored bark that flowed to dark patches on the ground.
Whumper raised the whip again, twirling it around their head with ferocity.
The slap ignited a fire under Whumpee's feet, and they ran the opposite direction.
Their feet dug into the ground, propelling them forward as fast as they could go with their hands tied behind their back. They glanced behind them just in time to see the tip of a whip flying towards them.
The cord wrapped around their throat, and a hard yank from the other end sent them onto their back. Their elbows took the brunt of the fall, radiating down to their numb fingers as their head kissed dirt.
"Get them up," an unfamiliar voice resounded from behind Whumpee.
Hands grabbed at them again, pulling them. They slid their feet into the dirt and protested, their screams pushing against the gag. The two hoisted them up and slammed their back up against the bark as they pulled the chain to their neck.
No! Nonono-
Whumpee tried to move their head away, only to double over as a strong fist collided into their stomach, making them see spots.
Cold iron wrapped around their neck, and the two henchmen; criminals, captors, backed away as Whumpee fell to their knees and wheezed to calm their spasming abdomen.
The spots began to dissipate, and through the legs Whumpee caught sight of the other body that laid on the ground in front of them.
They were lying on their side with their arm propping up their head. A similar chain was fashioned around their neck with a permanent gag welded onto it, spreading their mouth open unnaturally around a ring of iron. Their eyelids fluttered, looking at Whumpee for a moment before falling shut.
"Good work. You may go," Whumper said.
Two pairs of boots began to walk back to the car, and Whumpee tore their eyes away.
Wait! D-don't leave me here!
Their screams went ignored as Whumper towered over them, snapping the whip onto the ground.

Another issue that seems to fuel effemimania is our cultural tendency to sexualize femininity and femaleness in all its forms. While countless feminist writers and theorists have analyzed the ways in which the sexualization of femaleness and femininity permeates virtually every aspect of our culture and has a negative impact on most women's lives, they have typically ignored the way this tendency creates an environment in which "male femininity" is almost always considered in purely sexual terms. For example, most popular images and impressions of trans women revolve around sexuality: from "she-male" and "chicks with dicks" pornography to media portrayals of us as sexual deceivers, prostitutes, and sex workers. And of course, there are the recurring themes of trans women who transition in order either to gain the sexual attention of men or to fulfill some kind of bizarre sex fantasy (both of which appear regularly in the media, and also in Bailey and Blanchard's model of MTF transgenderism). In this context, it's easy to understand why Bailey and Blanchard were able to get away with proposing a homosexual/autogynephilic model for MTF spectrum trans people without ever being challenged by their professional peers to apply their theories to FTM spectrum trans people. To do so would require these predominantly straight- and male-identified gatekeepers to view masculinity and maleness in purely erotic terms--in other words, to reduce maleness to the status of mere sexual object (something that they would be loath to do in the unlikely event that this line of reasoning ever crossed their minds). This unwillingness to sexualize masculinity to the extent that femininity is sexualized explains why the gatekeepers endlessly dwelled on every perceived nuance and variation that occurred in the sexual practices and fantasies of the MTF spectrum population while simultaneously adamantly claiming that there was no such thing as female transvestism, no erotic component to FTM crossdressing, and no such thing as a gay-identified trans man.
— Whipping Girl, pp 134-135 (2nd Ed)
Serano also talks about how transmascs were routinely viewed as more “psychologically stable” compared to transfems by medical professionals because it was seen as “basically rational” for a woman to want to be a man, but hysterical, pathological, and disturbing for a man to want to be a woman. Furthermore, trans women were routinely at the whims of the sexual desires of the professionals who oversaw their medical transition, with many doctors outright stating in medical documentation that they used their own levels of sexual attraction to their transfem patients as the basis for whether they would refer them for surgery or not. And on the flip side, if trans women were too feminine, too attractive to the cishet male doctors, they would be accused of faking or exaggerating for attention, while trans men were praised for their performance of masculinity and escaped the sexual eye of the overwhelmingly straight doctors - because it would be gay to do so, and of course these doctors aren’t gay! How dare you even suggest that!
The conclusion ultimately is that there is no good way to be a woman - trans women are stuck in a double bind where they must perform an incredibly rigid standard of femininity in order to be given access to hormones, and are then punished if they “go overboard” or their performance of femininity doesn’t suite the sexual tastes of the doctors who gatekeep their ability to transition. This is again where transmisogyny has a massive amount of explanatory power as a concept, and why trans men do not face this same double-bind - our masculinity can be denied as fraudulent, and often is, but the act of pursuing masculinity in the first place is seen as a genuine, taken-for-granted common sense pursuit, a “mercy” that is not afforded to our transfem siblings.
This is not to pit transmascs against transfems, but to acknowledge the basic reality that our masculinity provides us with some bargaining power in medical and psychiatric contexts, not because trans men don’t face discrimination or transphobia, but because we have the ability to be rewarded by patriarchy for our identity as men - which is itself a violently misogynistic privilege. This fact should enrage you, not towards trans women for pointing this very obvious and basic fact out to you, but towards the people and institutions conducting this violence in broad daylight

"Yes." | “Kneel.” | Best of Three | Correspondence | Appraisal | Collapse
Six guys in a row, on their knees, blindfolded and gagged. Major seethes, shifting his weight on throbbing knees. How much goddamn longer does he have to wait for something to happen? He caught a glimpse of the other sorry fucks kneeling beside him, as he was forced down to sit on his heels. He tried to buck up, and only got pistol whipped for it, so. He’ll just fucking wait.
“Are you going to behave?” Says someone vaguely in front of him, off to the left. Talking down at one of the kneeling guys. Major cocks his head to listen as a gag is pulled out of someone’s mouth.
“Fuck you.”
A small, mechanical click. Then something like thunder cracks. Major jerks, trying to throw himself to the floor, heart lodged in his throat. There was a flash of light, he thinks, as a fist cinches in his hair and forces him back upright. A gunshot. It was a gunshot. He doesn’t hear any groaning or screaming, just… that’s a body slumping to the ground. Heavy, dull, lifeless.
A shoe scuffing on the floor, and that voice again. “Are you going to behave?”
A gag is pulled free, and a breathless, nervous voice answers. “Uh - yeah. Yeah, sure.” It’s right beside Major, this voice. He can all but feel the guy shivering beside him, inches away. He smells like sweat and stale clothes. Major chews on the cloth in his mouth, listening hard. A click, metal on metal.
Another deafening crack, and the flash of light is brighter this time. Major’s whole body tries to flee from the noise against his will. It’s only when he’s yanked back again, his scalp burning, that he registers the hot, sticky spray that hit his face a second ago. He doesn’t have to hear the body falling to know that there is now a dead body crumpled beside him.
Fuck. Fuck, fuck, fuck. Someone is pulling the gag out of his mouth. Normally he would be cursing up a storm, demanding answers, calling these creeps every twisted insult he could string together. But for once, Major holds still, and holds his tongue. Hot metal presses to his forehead, the point of pressure small and haunting.
“Are you going to behave?”
All thoughts leave his head. There is no decision to submit. He cannot see, isn’t allowed to move, and the gun to his head makes his response come out as instinctively as a breath. “Yes,” He answers, firm in the knowledge that it is the right answer, and hushed in mortal terror. He’ll behave, whatever that means. There’s no other choice.
The cooling metal disappears. Another footstep, off to his right now. The kneeling guy on that side is barely breathing, taking in tiny gasps that probably starve him of oxygen.
Major feels dizzy himself. He wasn’t planning on caving this fucking early. Planned to be a stubborn asshole, maybe get tortured for a few weeks, or make some daring escape and kill a few fuckers on his way out. But he can tell already, from the tension in the air. From how fast those guys’ mistakes got them wiped out. He’s gotta learn fast, here, or his last thought will be that he should’ve behaved better.

A sneak peak of the first page of a lil mini comic about the young king of hyrule! It'll be about 4-5 pages of angst (yay!)
I don't know yet if I'm going to post them as I finish or wait until I have all of the pages done, but nonetheless the first page is pretty well complete.
(I will tag any trigger warnings, but if I miss any please let me know so I can tag it properly!)

this might make me sound ignorant but is the radfem part of term not about hating men? they hate trans people, they hate men and they view both as predatory, obviously men are not their primary targets but I feel like it would be incorrect to say that they don't hate men, especially since many of them believe in gender separatism (which is bs for numerous reasons). it's wrong to bring up men every time someone talks about the transmisogyny terfs spew bc that would be derailing the conversation but can men (trans/cis/whatever) not express how they've been hurt by terfs in their own posts or conversations? apologies if ive completely misinterpreted what you were saying I just want to understand the topic better
I’m not disputing that terfs hate men. However, I think it’s an error to highlight their hatred of men as ideologically significant. Sure they talk about hating men, but their political alliances reveal that dismantling patriarchy, or a desire to oppress men, is not a concern for them, given that they support the criminalisation of sex work, the state enforcement of sex as biologically determined, and are allied with the same right wing groups (such as the Heritage Foundation in the US) that want to criminalise abortion and reinstate “traditional” white western gender norms. If you view terf political goals through the lens of hating men, then their political efforts have overwhelmingly been a massive failure. Which I don’t think is very useful analysis!
A hatred of men is also not politically useful in general, because there is no money to be made or political battles to be won hating men. Hatred of men is not a systemic issue because men are not oppressed as a social group on the basis of their manhood. There is no political or financial infrastructure built on the foundation of hating men, nor is there infrastructure dedicated to maintaining a systemic hatred of men. Hating trans people, however, is extremely financially and politically lucrative, particularly hatred of trans women/transfems, because of how transphobia and misogyny intersect with and reinforce one another. There are ample political, financial, medical, and social institutions that operate on the maintenance of patriarchy, many of which terfs share a political platform with. So terf hatred of men is clearly not that big a deal given how willing they are to ally with right wing groups and fascists, who are the last people on earth to tolerate the oppression of men as a political goal.
This is why people (myself included) take umbrage with the continued insistence that terfs hate men as a central foundation of their beliefs. It’s not incorrect to say that they hate men, but hating men is not the problem with terfs. Hatred of men is not an inherently reactionary position anymore than hating cis people is. The problem is the way terfs conceptualise gender, and the political goals that flow from that conceptualisation, which affects all trans people but primarily affect trans women/transfems. The spectre they raise about bathrooms, about sports, is always the age-old transmisogynistic conspiracy of “a man in a dress” “invading women’s spaces” because the historical legacy of transmisogyny looms large in public consciousness, and reinforced by medical/psychiatric institutions in particular, in a way that hatred and fear of trans men does not (autogynephilia exists as a mental illness but autophallophilia does not, for example. Julia Serrano talks about this in Whipping Girl if you want to read more on the subject). Terfs don’t care about trans men in men’s sports, they don’t raise the counter-spectre of trans men being mass assaulted in bathrooms by cis men who discover that they’re “really women” - these are not rhetorical moves that are interesting or useful to them, because it does not position them as victims. Trans men are hurt by their transphobic rhetoric, suffer under transphobic laws that are passed, and face transphobic discrimination from people in their lives as a result of how mainstream transphobia is (and I am speaking from significant and traumatic personal experience on this front). We are not, however, the face of the transgender boogeyman, and we are not the primary target of terfs. We are targets because we are trans, not because we are men. To be dismissive of the claim that terfs hate men is not a dismissal of the pain and violence transmascs go through, because our oppression is not founded on our manhood.
So when you see terf political efforts and terf rhetoric, their obsessive focus on trans women as arch villains who need to be destroyed, and you come to the conclusion that a hatred of men is the animating force behind terf political activity - that is a transmisogynistic conclusion, both because you are framing their transmisogyny as something that is primarily informed by a hatred of men, and because “terfs hate men” is a non-sequitur in discussions about the political and social damage that their beliefs cause. If terfs hate men, they do so as a hobby, and I don’t really give a fuck about their hobbies

Whumpee shaking in their chains, bracing themself as well as they could muster as the whip fell again and again. Their back was in shreds, engulfed in pain that only seemed to grow and grow.
When whumper came to release their chains whumpee sobbed. Finally, finally, it was over.
But it wasn’t.
Whumper wasn’t taking them down, oh no, they hadn’t earned that yet.
No, whumper was simply adjusting them. Turning them. Preparing the skin on their chest and stomach for the last.
And somehow, that made the next strike even worse.
