Papercraft commission of Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian (and Li'l Apple and a bunny), in a pose inspired by Gustav Klimt's famous painting The Kiss! Lan Wangji may be a little disgruntled at being interrupted, but Wei Wuxian is, of course, laughing the whole time.

This piece had some of the most complicated layering I've ever done in a papercraft, which meant I had to take even more care than usual with how every piece of paper was placed and the order in which they could be glued - and I already take a lot of care with that, no matter what I'm making! But the extra time was definitely worth it - I'm really happy with how the final piece came out. ^_^ A very sweet scene for WangXian!

Papercraft Sokka (with boomerang)!! He sold at the con last weekend. For his facial expression, I waffled back and forth between this big grin and a more serious, battle-ready expression - both modes are important to his character, after all! - but as you can see, went with the smile in the end. Sokka can be serious, but I like it best when he's cheerful!

Papercraft commission of Hawkeye and Klinger from M*A*S*H!

Getting commissioned to make characters from this series was a delightful surprise! I knew this show was influential and enormously well-loved, but not much else, so it was fun and interesting to find out more about it as I drew. Plus, y'all know I always love making art of characters dancing! ^__^

A papercraft commission of the client's player character(...s?) from their MDZS-inspired ttrpg! On the left is Yao Yuan, a kindhearted young disciple who occasionally gets possessed by the ghost Jiang Yun, on the right. Recently they've discovered that their souls are merging together! They have, er, mixed feelings about it.

This one had some intense layering! Since Jiang Yun is a ghost, I thought it only fitting that he be made of semitransparent papers - but I also find those very tricky to work with, so I had to put a lot of extra thought into how to construct his figure. The final effect is subtle, but I think it's very cool-looking to be able to see the background paper and lotus flowers peeking through his form.
