Sorry but it's so funny to read your hot takes!
🔥 Terms like queerplatonic, queercoding, and other ones that include this prefix.
It’s funny that white gays act like the Q word is just like black people reclaiming the N word but then have histrionic meltdowns when a person in the LGBT is asking for it to be tagged with a trigger warning or that it not be said around them or in reference to them. Ya know because just like the N word some people aren’t comfortable with it in any context and some people are only comfortable with it in specific situations or with specific people, and those people deserve to have their personhood respected.

you might think the mcyt community loves gay people with how they ship every man together. however it might be one of the most homophobic communities i’ve ever tried to be a part of. holy mother they will twist anything gay into a knot of queer micro identity until those cubes are no longer gay at all

I wish that the greater LGBT community understood that just because you personally reclaim a slur doesn't mean you should apply that to everyone else. I don't mind using the word queer for myself. I reclaim the words queer and dyke because it's like a "fuck you" to every man who tries to insult me with them—but that doesn't mean I can go around calling every lesbian I meet a dyke. That doesn't mean I can go around calling every gay person a queer.
Why?
Because those words are slurs. They have historically been used to demean and hurt gay people. And many LGB people don't want to be called slurs, even by other LGB people. Especially elder gay men/lesbian women.
Reclaim queer for yourself, but don't apply it to the whole community for fucks sake.

I’ve been skimming Strange Aeons’ video about MOGAI (it’s a pretty good video I think I just have a short attention span lmao) and something super interesting during the first half of the video jumped out at me and I wanted to talk about it.
The people trying to invent "more inclusive" terms for the LGBT community (GSM and then MOGAI) were also exclusionists in their own right. There was paranoia about if the term "GSM" would invite paraphiles, kinksters, and even cishet crossdressers into the community, which people (ESPECIALLY back in 2014 Tumblr) had a visceral hatred and disgust for. If someone tried to propose that a sex worker is a sexual minority, how would that conversation go over? Who counted as a sexual minority that we should care about? And that's SO fucking fascinating to me on so many levels about how the 2014 MOGAI / GSM inclusionists weren't nearly as inclusive as they painted themselves to be.
Do I particularly care about inclus/exclus discourse nowadays? Nah, not really. Do I still think it’s super interesting that even the most inclusive of people would inevitably find reasons to attempt to exclude people from the community that they personally found revolting, strange, or, in a word, ‘too queer’? Abso-fucking-lutely.

this is a redraw of a print i made years ago! you can buy it here!!
this is the first time i really... digitally painted bcuz the solid colours and basic gradients werent doing it for me, and then i had a crisis bcuz i convinced myself for 2 days that the clouds had to be painted and not cartoony
n e whoozles im really proud of this one!! the new gilbert baker is one of my absolute faves so im glad ive now used it twice
the description on redbubble says more on the flags so-
A print representing transgender being used as an umbrella term featuring the sapphic flag as the women's dress, and using the hijabi and cat to imply the genderqueer flag, with the basket and its contents being the nonbinary flag. The trans umbrella has strings hanging off in the colours of the new Gilbert Baker flag. The sunset in the back is the colours of the sunset lesbian flag, with the sun and sand being the colours of the butch lesbian flag. Violets, symbols of sapphic love, are featured on the two humans, the cat, and the bouquet. The blanket they're lying on is the trans-feminine flag.
(timelapse under the cut)

Man you are EMBARRASSING thinking queer is a slur 😭 It is a word we have reclaimed, it is a word we will keep using whether your dumb ass likes it or not; just like dyke and fag and tranny also. We are queer and we are here
GO TO THERAPY YOU SELF-HATING FUCK!
YOU DON'T GET TO DECIDE WHETHER OR NOT A SLUR IS RECLAIMED! ESPECIALLY NOT IF THERE ARE OTHER PEOPLE IN THE COMMUNITY WHO STILL HAVE TRAUMA ATTACHED TO IT!
LEARN TO HAVE SOME EMPATHY YOU DROOLING SIMPLETON!

imagine defending a racist queerphobic woman who fantasizes about sexually abusing little kids. Couldn't be me.
Yeah new rule considering this guy has nothing better to do with his Sunday than bother me with his inane ramblings about a woman he’s never spoken to towards another woman he’s never spoken to, I’m gonna start responding with nice facts about Lily
Lily sends me any King of the Hill meme she sees because it reminds her of me and it’s really sweet. It’s gotten the point that if I catch it again somewhere else I think about her.

Ok so I keep seeing these "about me posts" and I haven't done one so this is it I guess.
[Edited]
You can call me Emu, he/they(/it?), im autistic, I have adhd, anxiety, depression, dyscalculia, suspected dpdr, probably dysgraphia, possibly dyslexia, possibly ocd and ive got some other fun stuff like that going on. (I say possibly and probably and stuff because im not currently diagnosed for those and the other ones too but I am being diagnosed for the other ones im just waiting for my next appointments)
I'm a genderqueer trans guy, boyflux I think, but trans guy fits enough. I have bad dysphoria days and project that onto loads of characters so be prepared for that.
I'm a Christian and I welcome questions about faith if anyone ever wants to talk about that. Also I myself do not swear, but I reblog stuff with swearing in it only because it's always super funny.
My fandoms (in no particular order):
Marvel, comics and movies/shows
LOKI LOKI LOKI LOKI I KNOW THIS IS MARVEL TOO BUT LOKI LOKI LOKI
Agents of sheild (I know it's marvel too but it's not the main stuff)
Friends (tv show)
The Office (US)

When I say stop speculating about celebrities sexualities it isn’t in a “assume everyone is straight and go with the status quo” way, it’s in the “most people only speculate so they can praise straight performers as ‘q*eer icons’ instead of actually liking a gay person” way.
