I feel like the tv shows that define me better are anime, so I’ll just go for two lists, one for anime and one for non anime tv shows 😅

8 (Non Anime) TV Shows I Love

(In no particular order - The fact that I love them doesn’t mean that I like all the seasons 😅)

~ The Simpsons 🍩 (1989- …) / What can I say? Iconic. It’s a classic.

~ Supernatural 👻 (2005-2020) / I love so many characters in this show, it made me laugh and cry, some episodes and seasons are amazing and I love Dean with my whole heart. And Bobby and Crowley!

~ Once Upon A Time 👑 (2011-2018) / The first three seasons and the Musical Episode are 💫💫💫 I love Hook, but also Peter Pan, Zelena, Pinocchio, Rumple, Mulan and Regina.

~ How I Met Your Mother ✋🏻 (2005-2014) / It’s so fun, even though it can be painful sometimes. I think it really describes my generation.

~ Friends ☕️ (1994-2004) / I watched it only a few years ago, but i immediately found it so comforting! Chandler and Joey are my favorite characters! They’re lovely!

~ Top Gear 🚗 (presented by Richard Hammond, James May and Jeremy Clarkson; 2002-2015) / I love the specials and it’s so fun. Some scenes had me rotfl.

~ I Medici ⚜️(2016-2019) / The second season got me in a chokehold. Francesco is such an interesting character and his chemistry with Lorenzo…!

~ Cobra Kai 🐍 (2018-…) / The soundtrack! I love Johnny’s POV, and i’m also fond of Chozen. It’s nostalgic and funny, and some scenes and characters make me laugh so hard. But some others like 2x06 Take a Right (the one with the old Cobra Kai members) and 5x06 Ouroboros (the one with John Kreese during therapy) were also moving.

8 Anime Tv Shows I Love

(Again in no particular order and in some cases i don’t like all seasons)

~ Shingeki no Kyojin 🗝 / The obsession was real. The plot is dramatic and some characters are so good. My fave characters are Eren, Levi, Jean, Reiner and Zeke. And the soundtrack, amazing!

~ Boku no Hero Academia 🏫 / There’s plenty of characters I love, some soundtracks are so good and the chemistry between some characters is on point. And Shōto!! ♥️

~ Violet Evergarden 🦾 / This is so poetic and the animation is beautiful, it amazed me.

~ Free! Iwatobi Swim Club 🌊 / I’m a swimmer so I’m biased. 😅 I love the animation and the characters, this show is really comforting to me. And I empathize with some characters so much.

~ Dragonball 🐉 / It’s a classic and VegeBul was my first ship.

~ One Piece 🏴‍☠️ / Iconic, I’ve grown up with it. Corazón and Ace are so precious to me.

~ Nana 🍓 / Nana (Osaki) is such a great character!

~ Naruto 🦊 / Itachi will always be one of my fave anime characters and the backstories of some characters are so moving.

A Love Letter to Arrow 🎯

If you've ever followed me on my old tumblr or even encountered any of the edits I use to make that circulated this website, then you'd know that my favorite show was Arrow. It was my main content to post and reblog on my page. It's the show that dominated my dashboard and what all my mutuals would fangirl about.

My life had basically revolved around Arrow for the better part of the past decade. It wasn't just a show that I enjoyed every week, it was the show that opened the door to so many new experiences for me. My love for this show led me to go out and try new things, meet new people and create memories and friendships that I will cherish forever.

As I reminisce about the things that brought me joy, as well as go through the farewell tour of my previous tumblr page, let's have a look back at my journey with Arrow.

I had first heard of Arrow during SDCC 2012 before the show had aired. John Barrowman interviewed Stephen Amell and Katie Cassidy about a new show that all three were part of, and talked about the hype going around the convention for this show. I knew nothing about it, I know nothing about Green Arrow or comic books. But I was a fan of John Barrowman and I wanted to watch more of him, so made a point to remember to watch the show.

When the pilot aired, I realized I wasn't that interested in superheroes or dark dramas with action. So I didn't continue on, I mean what are the chances this show survives the first season anyway? Well fast forward to the new year and the show got renewed just as I started to see more gifs of the show on tumblr. (btw this was my consensus on what shows to watch, whichever shows my tumblr dashboard was recommending)

Soon enough more and more posts and gifs about the show start to pop up on my dashboard which to me meant it was probably good. Then gifs of a particular blonde character with glasses also kept popping up. I thought she was cute and anytime I saw gifs of her and the main guy I thought they had chemistry. I figured she was probably the nerdy love interest who has a one-sided crush on the leading man - since it was heavily implied he was supposed to end up with his ex-girlfriend.

Despite how tired I am of these predictable tropes and didn't need to see another damsel in distress type scenario, their chemistry intrigued me enough to give the show another try. Besides, my dashboard seemed to really ship them as well so who could blame me, I'm easily influenced! Also, I saw gifs of this scene circulating my dashboard and I just couldn't help but be intrigued.

So I gave the show another shot and actually watched it through. it helped that the season was already over and I knew they would have another one so should there be any cliffhanger, I wouldn't be too pissed off about it.

Lo and behold, I loved the show. And even more, I loved what I thought was the impossible ship. The ship that wasn't supposed to happen, that wasn't planned, but it all hit us like a wall of bricks. Olicity had taken over my every thought and my every being.

You see, the thing about me is that I can fall in love with any show easily. But if you give me a couple that can reach into the deep caverns of my soul and pull out my withering heart buried deep inside, then that show will own me! And boy did Arrow OWN me!

I genuinely lived and breathed this show. The 5 months when the show was off the air felt like I was suffocated and floating aimlessly, not knowing which direction is which. the only reprieve I had was stalking the cast's social media page and anticipating for any information about the new season.

In short, I lived for Arrow.

Because of my love for this show, it made me want to venture into the world of Comic Convention. The cast of Arrow frequent the Heroes and Villian Fanfest and fortunately for me, they held one every year in San Jose which is only two hours away from me. this wouldn't be my first time going to a convention but it is my first time going away for the weekend to attend a convention. And what a better one to go to than the one that the cast of my favorite TV show attends.

I went almost every year until 2019, but the years I went were the best and will forever be ingrained in my memories. Not only did I get to meet my favorite actors who play my favorite characters in my favorite show, but I also got to have my own special experiences with each of them. One that will forever live on in my mind. More than that, I got to meet quite a lot of online friends, and mutuals I've had on tumblr and other social media platforms that I befriended because of our love for Arrow. it had become a yearly thing for us to meet up and enjoy the show that brought us together.

I have invested a lot of my time and attention in Arrow. I've also invested a lot of money in the show. Not just in the form of paying for their merchandise or anything, but with the amount of money I spend just to meet them and have these experiences where I can be with my favorite cast. From the convention to special events that Stephen Amell would hold through his wine company Nocking Point, I've attended them all.

Arrow isn't just a show that I enjoyed thoroughly. it's a show that brought me happiness, that brought me special memories, that brought me a lifetime of friendships. Arrow still continues to give me so many blessings, even after the show has ended. I am grateful for the years I loved and poured my heart into this show.

8 Shows To Get To Know Me

8 of my favorite shows are M*A*S*H, Twin Peaks, Dynasty, Seven Deadly Sins, Neon Genesis Evangelion, The Witcher, Hawaii Five-0, and Gorl World YouTube Drama

M*A*S*H: this show was my absolute favorite in high school, and it took me so long to watch because I had to rely on re-runs. If I was lucky, I would catch 2 episodes Monday-Thursday and 1-2 episodes on Saturday 12-2am. The series finale completely destroyed me to the point that I have a hard time finishing any TV show these days.

Twin Peaks: yet another show where the then series finale really stuck with me until we got The Return finale which also really stuck with me. Special Agent Dale Cooper remains one of my all-time favorite characters. His optimism and work ethic are inspirational.

Dynasty: y'all haven't lived until you watch an 80's soap opera. The drama and wardrobe are phenomenal. Some of the craziest shit I've ever seen was in Dynasty season 2 and 3. The plot points to get to this clip... incredible.

Seven Deadly Sins: this is the first anime I really got into, and it changed my life. Ban was my first husbando, and the rest is history. The series finally ended in two parts last year, and I kinda wish the second part never happened. It's sad that the series was dropped from the original animation studio, so later seasons do not have great animation. It's a fun ride! Just don't want the second half of the last season.

Neon Genesis Evangelion: a lot of my favorite shows have endings that just rocked my world, and boy howdy is Evangelion one of them. At the end of the anime, I was very hopeful, but I was devastated after finishing End of Evangelion. Two endings that are supposed to be the same but different. I am Shinji. Shinji is me. I first watched this show in 2019 and then rewatched in 2021, and it hit different in the midst of a pandemic and after the Texas 2021 Winter Storm. Excited to rewatch again this year!

The Witcher: while I prefer the video games now, the show is so good that I ended up binging the first season in 1 day with a friend of mine and then I bought Witcher 3 on my PS4 the next day. The rest is history. I love Geralt of Rivia so much. He is my special traumatized old man with a praise kink who has seen some shit boy.

Hawaii Five-0: this is not a show, it is a gay fever dream. I started watching this show while visiting my grandmother last year because she had crime show re-runs on constantly, and I always hoped that Hawaii Five-0 would come on. I am continually amazed by how close Steve and Danny are that I sometimes don't believe it's a real show. How did they get away with it all and still not make McDanno canon? They lived together, went to couple's counseling, shared the same bed, cuddled on the couch, DANNY TOLD STEVE TO PICK A BASE. gay gay homosexual gay.

Gorl World YouTube Drama: I fell into Gorl World about 2 years ago, boy howdy I can't stop watching. I don't enjoy reality television, but I sure as fuck am down to watch hours uponhours of coverage on everything that goes down with Foodie Beauty, ALR, Nikocado Avocado, and others. FB in particular bc her life is so buckwild that it can't be real. i miss the nashie era. long live Queen BBJ ♥️♥️

See THIS is why I trust the writers because the whole point of the deadline passing was so we could SEE Poseidon surrendering for Percy. The show has given Poseidon a more active and loving role in Percys life. The gods pride would never let them surrender to one another. But Poseidon knew his brother wouldn’t spare his son’s life. And he knew the only thing that would spare his son’s life was him surrendering. ALSO FURTHER CEMENTING THAT PERCY IS HIS FAVORITE CHILD! The writers pens this episode>>>
