This will probably not reach a lot of people, but for those who happen to read this:

Tumblr is terminating accounts without warning.

It has happened to a dear friend (some of you may know who I'm talking about: anaer) just last night (nov. 15), and apparently it has also happened to other users as well.

There was no contact message or anything, and my friend has been consistently reaching out to staff to try and get this sorted out (with no reply still) (nov. 16).

I do not know how helpful it is to download your account information just in case this may happen to your account as well, or do a blog backup, but I guess those things can never hurt.

If my blog happens to be deactivated, know that it was Tumblr dragging me away into superhell kicking and screaming because there's no way I'm leaving this clown site willingly.

Just saw a YouTube short of a guy saying that trans women are women as a comment was saying that they are insults to "real women" but the guy making the video explained that ALL PEOPLE start off as a girl in the womb. Because we do. In the womb female genitalia is formed first and later melds into male genitalia. Then he said in a mocking tone meant to be the commenter speaking "well none of that matters til birth!" His response to that is "but I thought you said life starts at conception?" To which I SAY "if abortion is murder then what is miscarriage?" That's it. Trans women are women. Trans men are men. All men started as a woman. And if abortion is murder then what is a miscarriage. Life does not start at conception. It starts at first breath. If not, then explain and stillborn child. Babies who are born dead. What then? Am I making any form of sense??

not me suddenly remembering being in a modern poetry class this time last year and discussing how Stevens' Supreme Fiction had a call back to Shelley's West Wind and confidentially saying out loud in front of the entire class "Percy Shelley was that OP of this line though" only to be met by a sea of blank faces as I realised that a) nobody else in this room is on tumblr and b) even if they were nobody else in this room speaks fluent English and c) I cannot for the life of me successfully translate the term "OP" into ANY language and have it still make sense in the context of a poet who died over 200 years ago

Hi, you might know me as Vana on this account, but my main username is @divasnaxx and you may know me as the gremlin behind @vtubers-guild

I NEED YOUR HELP - as I am concerned that all of the love and passion I have put into my blogs may have been entirely erased and it may NEVER be recovered.

(putting under a read more just to be safe)

This morning I tried logging into that Tumblr account, only to be shown this terrifying message:

I was SHOCKED. I was literally able to login 2 days ago without issue and to my knowledge I had done nothing to warrant my account being terminated. No community guidelines were violated. I have taken every security measure to make sure that only I can access my account, and not anyone else.

All I was doing was just reblogging neat things (as you do here) and building up a vtuber resources blog to help this community flourish on this website.

I am a Tumblr veteran and have been on this platform in one way or another for over 10 years! I avoid drama like the plague and don't post anything that would violate Tumblr's community guidelines. I received no communication from staff prior to this, indicating any warnings or that this would happen.

I am just someone who enjoys what the core of what Tumblr is all about: being free to be yourself and express what you care about, which is why seeing this message this morning made me upset.

BOTH of my blogs no longer exist, and the hours I poured into building up not only my personal blog, but my passion project of a vtuber assets/resources hub to help fellow vtubers grow and chase their dreams have been lost.

My heart is broken and even though I have emailed Tumblr support, asking them to explain what happened - and if they could fix it - I don't have much hope. I am truly worried that these blogs are lost and I will have to begin again. At this point, I am too scared to even remake those accounts until I know exactly what Tumblr support's response will be.

It may seem silly, especially because there are thousands on account on here, but after coming back here to try and escape the burning bird app, I was really happy. I was beginning to remember why I loved Tumblr and just how many possibilities there are for ANYONE on this platform, not just me. I was making friends, meeting new people, and creating a blog that I had hoped would help vtubers old and new on their journey.

I do hope this was just a mistake. Just a glitch that happened and everything will be fine, but there is a piece of me that is very concerned - especially after doing some googling and seeing some not to positive outcomes for people in similar situations like mine.

I hope that by sharing this, and maybe getting some visibility on this issue, that I will be able to get my blogs restored and not have to begin again.

So please, spread the word! A reblog goes a long way here. And I hope that with your help, I can go back to being a chaotic gremlin who shares memes while trying to help grow the amazing vtuber community that has started to flourish here.
