Right around the time I moved into my condo a couple years ago I started becoming obsessed with trees. I will notice tress before I notice the houses, people, cars or anything else near them. Each one has their own character and beauty each totally different-in little ways or big-than the ones they are near. . I adore my condo for many reason but the view is my favorite. When I was figuring out where to put my bed I didn’t really care if it was centered in the bedroom (which is saying something with my slight OCD tendencies) I just knew I had to be able to leave my bedroom door open and look through the living room at the view pictured below. As I am writing this I’m realizing almost all my paintings in my house are trees as well. . I believe that nature lead me back to my internal voice-my roots you could say (pun intended😉). In nature I find myself present, peaceful, calm and happy. . It’s been a difficult week, but seeing this view as so as I open my eyes every morning always makes me feel centered and hopeful for the day and days to come. . Things you would never expect to be so beautiful from very not so beautiful tings. Take this bowl for example. It used to be an old rotting piece of tree limb in my yard! Amy and Lou live near me, they turned a piece of wood I was going to literally burn for a campfire and turned it into the cutest little bowl for my treasures!
