#treebeard
(In the Tower of first knowledge, during the events of Darkness)
Mace Windu: How long has this been activated, Astaal Vilbum?
Astaal Vilbum: What? Hoom!
Mace Windu: The Holocron on Volfe Karkko.
Astaal Vilbum: I can’t… Hoom! …understand… Hoom! …your accent.
(Windu grows visibly impatient)
Mace Windu: The holocron… Hoom! …about Volfe… Hoom! …Karkko. Hoom!
Astaal Vilbum: Oh. Hoom! Why didn’t you say so? Hoom! Some weeks, Master Windu.

No joke our old tv had a broken speaker solely because Treebeard’s scream blasted it out one time when we watched LOTR

Anyone else feel how beautiful the Treebeard chapter is? I have bookmarked almost all the pages.

*In Fangorn*
Legolas: The elves began it. Waking up the trees, teaching them to speak.
Gimli, shivering: WHY THE F*** DID YOU HAVE TO DO THAT

It's kind of cute how every creature in the Lord of the Rings just picks the hobbits up and tuck them under their arm. Like how Treebeard just picks Merry and Pippin, who feel safe for the first time in a while, and takes them to his home. Strange how the hobbits feel so safe with them manhandling them, because just a few moments ago, they were at the hands of the cruel Orcs.

'An Ent?' Said Merry. 'What's that?'

Pippin asking Treebeard to put hobbits into the list of living things was one of my favorite moments.

my Dad and I are ace as hell and we have a tendency to skip the love story parts of LOTR to get to the part where Treebeard and the Ents wreak Sarumans shit

So I take a real long time to find the right words to say or use and I just realized that makes me an honorary Ent:

Laurelindórenan has a specific entry in LOTR’s index, and apparently, the times it’s used by anyone, ever:
Treebeard:
“Do not risk getting entangled in the woods of Laurelindórenan! That is what the Elves used to call it, but now they make the name shorter: Lothlórien they call it. Perhaps they are right: maybe it is fading, not growing. Land of the Valley of Singing Gold, that was it, once upon a time. Now it is the Dreamflower. Ah well!”
Again:
“Folk have come to grief here. Aye, they have, to grief. Laurelindórenan lindelorendor malinornélion ornemalin,” he hummed to himself. “They are falling rather behind the world in there, I guess.”
Faramir:
“Boromir, O Boromir!” he cried. “What did she say to you, the Lady that dies not? What did she see? What woke in your heart then? Why went you ever to Laurelindórenan, and came not by your own road, upon the horses of Rohan riding home in the morning?”
Treebeard:
“For there was a great rush of those, burárum, those evileyed-blackhanded-bowlegged-flinthearted-clawfingered-foulbellied-bloodthirsty, morimaitesincahonda, hoom, well, since you are hasty folk and their full name is as long as years of torment, these vermin of orcs; and they came over the River and down from the North and all round the wood of Laurelindórenan, which they could not get into, thanks to the Great ones who are here.”
I just think it’s interesting!
