pride this year for me has been about using my new position of power within my community to force change and acceptance. even subtly. i wore my bi flag pin this week, i have never come out to any of my co workers, i didn’t feel the need to. But now that I’m elected and have solidified myself for years as a fixture in my community I’m forcing everybody that comes into my rural office to ask a service of me to interact with somebody wearing a pride pin. You want me to issue your marriage license? Your dog license? Notarize your documents? You’re getting a bisexual doing those services. Ordering new indexing cards for our birth, death, and marriage index i’ve made the switch to more gender neutral language and options because that’s something I can control and it’s wonderful.
I looked the gay man that came in scared of his neighbor in the eyes and there was a mutual understanding between us that we knew of each other and I assured him of his safety with me, he spoke in codes I was only familiar with from my days years ago in drag clubs in a less liberal area of the country. We understood each other.  Yesterday, the first day of June, we hired not only a woman to an opening in a widely male dominated planning board, but an openly lesbian woman.
Vermont may be more welcoming to LBGTQ+ folks compared to many areas of the united states, but being open can still feel scary to many. Some of us still feel the need to speak in code in our widely left leaning, blue voting communities which is in part due to how past people in similar positions of power to me have acted towards them. But i can help change that, even if just a little. If you’re LGBTQ+ you are safe in my office and safe in my care.

Inspired by Yah Yah @fluoresensitive's 9 books they want to read in 2023, here are the nine transgender books I wrapped up to inject a little mystery into my reading life this year. Very excited to grab a blind date with a trans book ♥

this is such a surreal period for lgbtq rights because on the one hand pride is more widely recognised and respected in society than ever and there's tonnes of rep in popular media, and on the other bigoted shitbags are constantly and loudly saying how much they want us eradicated with no repercussions

thsi is kind of a vent i hope it stays in the void strongly dislike people who say 'all genders are valid' but then hate on others for making up their own gender identity. like. everyone experiences gender so differently. for the life of me i myself can't wrap my head around why some people feel the need to dictate what you can and cannot be. you're making the same stupid argument as bigots are if you stop at only 'existing' genders like there's some Binary we Strictly have to follow

Howdy! Could the racist anon’s ask that you replied to have a tw for suicide baiting on it?
Thanks✨
I would but there's 2 issues with that.
1. If I trigger tag it the way it should be (no alt. Words like sewer slide or sui bait, etc or without blocking letters out like su*s*de ba*t*ng, etc) so people can properly block it, it's gonna get blocked entirely by staff and considering staff is probably already looking for me to slip up (considering I'm talking about Palestine, I'm poc, I don't block out words, my previous account got nuked), I really don't wanna take a chance getting reported or getting eyes on me again.
And lastly 2.... That ask is not, legally or literally speaking, a sewer slide bait, especially not a genuine one. Sewer slide baiting is a legal term, it's a word that describes a specific set of illegal actions that lead to someone's death and a kys in my inbox from an anon is not sewer slide baiting in the slightest. They don't actually expect me to take them seriously. Sadly, that action has been given the emotional cheating/gaslighting/narcissist treatment in that they basically mean nothing when you misuse them constantly.
A genuine case of sewer slide baiting has to be done by someone close/with emotional hold on the victim intentionally bullying/abusing them and encouraging them to kts when they know that person is in an emotionally compromised state. It would have to be done in dms, in person by someone i knew and cared about manipulating me in a vulnerable place. Sewer slide baiting is a serious thing and leads to deaths, someone saying kys and a bunch of slurs in my inbox is not as serious as actual fucking sewer slide baiting and I should know, I've gone through it genuinely.
So no, I'm sorry, I won't be tagging something that isn't sewerslide bait as sewerslide bait because it .. well isnt sewerslide bait and im not getting a strike aginest my account for something i dont even agree with.
I may tag it as tw kys or something but I've already trigger warned everything I see needs to be trigger warned like the slurs.
If that's not enough, I'm sorry but no.

#myevilposts#sighing so loud.#g-d i'm so pissed off. i hate misandrists soooo much i especially hate when they deny that that's what they are.#or act like they are somehow valid bc one (1) man was abusive towards them.#like honey my mom was both physically and mentally abusive to me and i don't hate women. it's very easy to not be a dick actually.#once again. what they should actually be angry about is the systemic issue of the patriarchy or their single abusive man.#not men as a whole. like it's so easy.#it's actually so easy to just hate shitty men and not men as a whole. btw.#also i can't believe people think my struggles to be included in discussions about pregnancy due to uninclusive language#(which is very very much a trans issue.) isn't real just because i'm a man.#honey. i have a womb. i can in theory get pregnant. i don't want to be misgendered and excluded from a conversation#that literally fucking applies to me and is important to my physical and mental health and well being. just because i'm a man.#i am being oppressed in this situation. that is what transandrophobia is.#like is the fact that people are calling pregnancy and abortion 'women's issues' and i'm like 'hey. those things apply to me#and i'm a trans man. please use inclusive language that doesn't misgender and/or exclude me.' and people are#like 'ugh shut up you're literally a man. you should deal with being excluded from this conversation.#that literally fucking applies to you and being misgendered by our language.' actually like progressive?#like do you think it's progressive to say that me getting misgendered and excluded from a conversation due to#cisnormativity is fine. because oh i'm a man. men aren't ever treated like shit ever.#when i am quite literally being shat on for being a man in this situation. despite it literally including me.#transphobia tw#like don't you all literally see that what you're saying is that misgendering is ok just because i'm a man?#and that my having to deal with pregnancy and abortion is invalid? just because i'm a man. and acting like that's a progressive thing#to say??? like literally stoppp. you are literally telling me. who is trans. and being oppressed bc i am trans.#that the transphobia that is specifically targeting me. bc i am trans. isn't real. bc i am a trans MAN specifically.#and like yes. i experience transandrophobia in real life. it is not just an 'online' issue bc no form of transphobia is.

still not over the time i told a recent friend (now recent bf) i liked his shirt (pale blue-grey polo w narrow white horizontal stripes, compliments his fluffy light brown hair + hazel eyes) and several lunch walks later he said he can’t remember the last time someone complimented him on his outfit. i think my heart audibly cracked
#where to even start with this like.#HE LOOKS GOOD. FREQUENTLY.#he matches the accent colors of his band tees to his pants and/or shoes. my fave combo rn is#the black The Who tee (white and red lettering on both sides) + cream shorts + black sneakers w red accents#he does the accent matching thing subconsciously btw. i pointed out ''your sneaks match the shirt that's cool'' he was like ''oh they do''#no one ever said anything huh#my understanding is dudes are hesitant to compliment other dudes bc they fear being called gay for it. classic homophobia making life worse#first and foremost for gay ppl but also for the straights#and women are hesitant to compliment dudes bc they worry he'll take it as flirting. classic heteronormative#''women and men can't be just friends'' + ''she asked for it'' garbage making life worse first and foremost for women but also for men#and yeah also all genders of trans and/or enby folks may be hesitant to compliment guys bc they fear being hatecrimed. can ya blame em??#look at the fucking statistics#on the one hand not being constantly judged for their presentation is a win for men. i love the compliments but it's also unnerving how#ready ppl are to appraise my appearance#that said it sucks that men getting pos attention for looking nice on the daily is so rare#all that suit hype yet no love for subtle accent matching. sweet kicks. a good sturdy jacket. FLANNELS#also would it kill us to tell guys their facial hair looks good? multiple guys ive dated have asked my opinion on their facial hair choices#before stating what their preference is. i'd get asking out of curiosity or wanting to know how it affects the kissing texture#but dude. man. my guy. people who love you will kiss you anyway even if it's a lil fuzzier than they prefer.#what's important is you like it#idk how to condense all this into occasional normal compliments anymore i just tell#bunny boy#his hair is pretty and his taste in band Ts fucks and spend 30 seconds curling and uncurling his fingers bc his hands are nice#sigh#snowswords

I just want to say that as scary as it is, I don’t think the Ghanaian anti-lgbt bill will go anywhere. Nana won’t give assent because it’ll go to the Supreme Court so they’ll probably put it to a secret vote which means they won’t be able to use party whips and without that I seriously doubt it will pass.
In my view it’s being used as a talking point more than something politicians actually care about, and even the finance ministry urged Nana not to sign it cause it fucks up their relationship w the World Bank which they depend on.
It’s really important not to become complacent (there’s a protest tomorrow in London outside the Ghanaian embassy) but I’m also saying don’t stress about it too much.

Sometimes I wish I did get a chance to date girls. By the time I had finally shaken off the last of the residue of homophobia from my church growing up in my mid-20s and became aware of the fact that it was ok to call myself bisexual, I was already a few years into my relationship with bf.

there is btw, A LOT to be said abt how theres only one big leftist video essayist who is transmasc or adjacent. like the transmasc erasure in the leftist youtube space is RAMPANT
Oh GOD yeah.
And necessary statement of "transfems are marginalized and their inclusion is equally vital to transmascs and unaligned people, and they also experience a ton of exclusion and abuse in leftist creative spaces."
That being said, I feel like so often people just don't even recognize the absence of transmascs because of the masculinity/manhood. Like there are people who care about diversity and inclusion will make sure they talk about transfem history, promote transfem creators, and I don't think its out of malice, or even done consciously, but they think that transmascs don't need that same care because well. They're men, right?
& that's half of transmasc erasure. One half is erasing the manhood/masculinity (misgendering), but the other half is erasing the transness and acting like transmascs have the exact same positionality as cis men, and transmascs are essentially exchangeable with cis men. Our unique needs are not considered. When your feminism is fundamentally cissexist, you view it as "trans women are women and its important to support women creators." And again, I don't think this is always done consciously, but on some level people think "trans men are men, and men don't need to be promoted as much." Its ciswashing transmasculinity so that ATM isn't exposed and talked about in leftist spaces.
Its fucking wild when you start seeing transmasc absence as the presence of erasure, and you watch all these otherwise accepting people who put effort into promoting marginalized voices, to whom the absence of transmascs in their spaces and work is completely invisible. And when you point it out, people will come up with arguments like "I guess transmascs don't care that much about [x]?" instead of imagining that it might be because of systemic anti-transmasculinity. The reasoning for a lot of people is always that it must somehow be transmascs' fault that they aren't represented.

btw, trans people who dont care about passing aren't "making other trans people look bad". there are as many ways to be trans as there are people on this earth. while one trans person may have dysphoria so bad they can't function from not passing and that's valid and important, another may get euphoria from not passing. some of us enjoy being androgynous or "other" looking. some of us enjoy "looking trans". that doesn't make anyone else "look bad". it doesnt "take away" from the hard work someone else put into their transition to pass. everyone transitions according to their own unique goals. we are not all the same, and one person's transition says absolutely nothing about another's.

VIV is constantly criticized by her own fault.
TW: Mention of: SA, Rape, Transphobia, fat phobia, Antiblackness.
(Hey, i'mma probably do a post eventually about episode 4. Btw, awfully shit, worse than I thought it could be... BIG TW OF R-PE AND SA IF YOU'RE GOING TO SEE IT. AND TW of the minimization of those topics too.)
(SORRY FOR BAD ENGLISH IN THIS POST TOO)
BUT I NEED TO CALL ATTENTION TO THIS! One of the reasons I criticize a lot of Viv specifically is because of how much she puts herself out there. She sees something she posts on Twitter about it a shit ton (even on "threads" lol). AND because of how lacking of improvement she has being. (I personally know people I have considered terrible when we were teens, but I have seen legit improvement from them in recent years. They seem like people who struggle, but got to grow up and made up for any problems (or pain caused to me or others). People have the ability to change and become better. Something that matters at pointing out issues or discussing-is the idea of creating change on others. It is better to get someone to change for the better than to cast them into the forever jail of nothingness (unless, IDK, they Sexually Assaulted someone, for example). Specially when they are young people. Doesn't mean YOU have to stick with other people that hurt you, no. Doesn't mean people get to do what ever and get away with it.
BUT All of this problem I have seen from Viv are from age 19-30. (you can change at anytime btw) And see constantly repeats herself and her actions. Seems to have never accepted criticism (said by herself too), and never able to see her own faults. The fact that is a continuous behavior is a problem, how she always responds is awful. My post of "Viv has being transphobic for 10 years", was to signal that. If she really had changed over those 10 years to a genuine thing- I could've taken that! But no, the shitty double standard against trans men... the weird treatment. THE MANY STORIES OF EMPLOYEES GETTING MISGENDERED HEAVILY, TOO.
(I know people who were transphobic [When they were teens mainly], that Genuinely improved and changed their beliefs. Now they treat trans people with respect and care! And still learning about gender-fluid people, too!)
It just seems to be further and further away from getting better! The fact that she only decides to take in account voices from SA victims that agree with her- it's painful as a victim, my self!
And yes, people who sent gore or dumbass shit to Viv (or the team) don't help. And go get help why you're looking and sending Gore to anyone. (Also, stuff like this does lead to people not listening to others people genuine callouts). The fact that I criticize something doesn't mean I agree with the people that go and do shit like the thing I just mention above.
AND ALSO A IMPORTANT THING HERE!
This drawing was created by DollCreep. BUT ALSO FUCKING REMEMBER this was done in response to the shit that Viv drew of him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
If you didn't know Viv drew a transphobic caricature of DollCreep using the name Jojo (his old nickname). This put together with a shitty anti-sjw meme video. DollCreep is a transman, Viv drew a character based on him. A furry wolf girl, If you can see in the image the main thing listed below the character name is the fucking "Sex=♀️". SO ON PURPOSE, CHRIST. Like... AND YES-is shitty from both to have drawn this (even if it was in respond) mainly immature in DC part. But that, or any toxicity coming from DC, doesn't delete the transphobia here. (imagine drawing a racist caricature of a poc person, because they are shitty to you). THE POST LINKED ABOVE SHOWS THE SITUATION, and in the end of the day. Viv says that DC is an abusive shitty person to her, but never realizing her own faults or anything she could'be possibly done wrong! (and again, any wrong done by DC in general can not be deleted by the fact of having being treated badly. If he did shitty stuff himself, that doesn't delete the wrong done in general to him or to others by viv)
Here about transphobia:
Tumblr media
(this is like 8yrs old too)
Again, she never acknowledges anything that she might have done wrong. "She is a thoughtful person, that wants tor write queer and disabled characters! She wants to tell empowering stories of..." It doesn't even feel close to that when people bring up actual problems in her writing that are stereotyping or bad, and she just yells and cries. It all feels like empty sticks she is only interested in in the surface level, she doesn't want to actually deal with.
When she says "This characters is black guys ♡♡♡" and then the fucking 7th, a grayish character with zero black features. She can not actually try and draw a black person with a different hair texture, she'll faith is hair isn't straight and spiky (has done this so much too). She is all for positivity and diversity (can not draw more than 1 character that isn't a fucking stick with the same stupid face).
She can not write relationships in general. She cannot do gay couples, then don't lean on the stupid old uke uwu defenceless x big rough seme protector stuff. Again, all the interactions with Husk and Angel are sexual harassment. They are already a revealed future couple (and episode 4 is terrible for them, specially with that song). Stolitz is toxic, and predatory. That is not acknowledged, and all Stolas's predatory behavior and power dynamics are put in the background, cause- "look how sad Stolas is :(! HIS DAD IS SOOO MEAN, HIS WIFE IS A BITCH". All her gay characters are in pure surface: over-sexual twinks that are assholes, which also fit into the top/bottom as personality boxes.
Any other point includes sexual harassment as a joke. BUT KNOW SHE WANTS TO BE LIKE "GUYS SA STORIES MATTER, LOOK AT WHAT I WROTE" as if she didn't lean back into the problem of the diminishing of SA and r- (in general and done to men) with her jokes in HB. With all the sexual harassment that Angel Dust puts on Husk and others. (AND YES THERE IS NO WARNING IN EPISODE 4, FOR ITS HEAVY TOPICS! I do believe all series/movies with this need it. SPECIALLY IF IT'S SO GRAPHIC! "Sexual content" is not the same as a warning for SA or R-pe. An adult can see a movie with sex or sexual nutidy- when they see that- but it's different to get straight assault on screen. Victims can watch movies/series with sex in them all good, you cannot just group consensual sex in the same assault or R-pe...)
The thing where Mammon (the only fat character that isn’t from the fucking background.) is like FIZZ YOU NEED TO LOSE WEIGHT. AS IF SHE COULD EVEN DRAW ANY DIFFERENT BODY SHAPE WITHOUT DYING. Like there is only Mimzy (hasn't appeared yet, not given any importance. In the female lead show). Mammon the piece of shit (does the same as Blitz, but he is actually fully bad.) His design is done with 80 fucking layers on top. Like all the test of the skinny character's clothes suck up to their body except for Mammon. His body is hidden in layers upon layers of clothing (that's all you got?). All you main guys need to fill "the skinny have nothing men" and "skinny woman with big hips and legs, but no fucking stomach"?
AND YES! VIV DOES DO THE FUCKING, "FAT = FOOD LMAOOO". You know the thing HH fans and hater where like the "Bee needs to fat thing is bad, cause of fat = food (only food) is reductive and shitty"
(Can I refer to how the show Bojack H, make Diane gain weight cause of anti depressants- and it wasn't a joke! And she was happier too?)
Tumblr media
(mine, from post right below)
... like is a bundle of issues. And Viv will never accept that she might be /or is wrong. That's why it hits the fan with stuff. -And again I liked many of the little concepts and stuff in HB and the original pilot of Hazbin. Shit- I still like Sir Pentious and Nifty. I do like Mammon as much as he is a pack of problems to call out, I fucking love the piece of shit Australian jester- The artist work hard on it, and I'm happy it's an openly queer! (as limited as it gets, too....). I liked Huni-cast, I loved the original voice cast! -and that happens! I could be writing this about other stuff too, not only Hazbin... if I created this blog earlier- IT WOULD ALL BE ABOUT RWBY, DANGANRONPA, even svtfoe...Ladybug... or Agretsuko's ending too. So yeah, sorry for the long post (as if all my post weren't)
