YOUR TAAAAGS YOUR TAGS YOUR TAGS YOUR TAGS. ok. off is kind of hit or miss for most people because its so weird and vague and i am extremely biased bc its one of my favorite thinfs ever BUT. i am going 2 say i think u will love it actually. its got soooo many fairytaleisms. its got tragedy. its got extremely morally grey characters. theres no good guys or bad guys. ITS GOT WEIRD LITTLE GHOSTS !!!!!! look at these bitches i used 2 doodle the off spectres in my notebooks like constantly they feel like home 2 me

the art style is so unsettling and creepy. its got sketchy lines and weird freak of nature characters. i am going to be EXTREMELY selfish here in saying that i think u will very much enjoy the art style and also i want 2 see how u would draw some of the characters bc ur style is very monochrome and messy (<< i mean this in a beloved sense i love your linework so much) and i think it fits the vibe so perfectly. on a completely unrelated note are you still taking commissions.

ITS GOT ONE OF THE ALL TIME BEST OSTS EVER BTW. i still have the main battle theme (which is called pepper steak btw. best name for a song ever) as my ringtone on my phone. my video game ost rank goes 1.portal 2 2. off 3. undertale 4. minecraft. the off ost holds higher regard in my brain than undertale. shaking your shoulders it fits the vibe of the game soooo perfectly.

i will not get into the story too much here bc i already talked about some vague spoilery stuff in that post and i dont want to tell u too much more in case u do play the game urself BUT. ohhh my god. i could talk about the story for hours. u can ask aster after we finished the game we sat on call for like 2 hours while i walked her through my personal take on the ending and then she gave me her thoughts on the ending and EVEN THOUGH WE PLAYED THE GAME TOGETHER AT THE SAME TIME (i streamed it for her) WE HAD DIFFERENT OPINIONS ON THE END. ITS SOOOOO FUCKING GOOD its one of those things where like. its so open ended that nobody ever gets into fights about what the "right ending" is because. well. there isnt one UGH i love that shit.

also zacharie is here. he is such a beloved character to me hes been one of my biggest huge comfort characters since like. 2015. i love him. hes like sans undertale for people in 2008. he was the original sans undertale. i think they would be best friends

oh also despite the fact that the setting is very much like. weird abstract, sort of fantasy sort of industrial, the main character is a fucking baseball player. hes so out of place its so funny

Time: night! (Well I wrote most of this last night, but now it’s the evening of the next day!)

Birthday: well I’m a Pisces, so my birthday is between Feb 19th and march 20th!

Fave band/group: Pentatonix! Or For King and Country. Or the piano guys, the vitamin string quartet, Voctave.....also Phineas and the Ferbtones👌

Fave solo artists: I really like Lauren Daigle, and Jackie Evancho used to be my FAVE. Aaand idk if this counts but Michael Giacchino! love his scores, especially the score for Inside Out. There’s also this guy called Clay Kramer on YouTube who makes KK Slider covers of popular music, his stuff gives me so much seratonin😅

Song Stuck in my Head: Well I’m listening to music rn and “I’m Me” from Phineas and Ferb is on so I’ll say that! (I’ll revisit this one when I finish the list and update it with whatever song i’m listening to/is stuck in my head then) (ok the music has since been turned off and now I have “Status Quo” from High School Musical stuck in my head so! There ya go!) (now it is the next day, and I’ve got “when the party’s over” stuck in my head...i think these three songs are an accurate reflection of my taste in music🤣)

Last Movie: uhhhhh oh yeah, The Sorcerer’s Apprentice! It was SO GREAT because Jay Baruchel plays the main character (and the main character is super awkward), so I felt like I was watching Hiccup from the How To Train Your Dragon franchise learn magic and it was GLORIOUS. And also Nicholas Cage is great. And I liked the love interest in the movie as well!! She had a role to play in the story and felt authentic and genuine, which I appreciated!

Last Show: ok well the last show I watched by myself was Phineas and Ferb! Specifically, the episode with the Mardi Gras block party and then the one where Candace and Stacy compete in an obstacle course against Isabella and Ginger (omg wAIT ginger and Stacy are sisters and Isabella and Candace are GOING to be sisters mY HEART I—AH🥺). I hadn’t watched those episodes in forever, so they were really fun to revisit! I think the last actual show I watched was Kids Baking Championship or something, lol. (Those kids are AMAZING. So skilled!)

When i created this blog: November 2019! It was riiiight after the season 3 finale of miraculous aired and absolutely wrecked my emotions. I had some fanfic written that I’d never posted and had been thinking about making a tumblr/ao3 for awhile, and seeing the finale made me finally go, “.....you know what, yeah. The finale is aired, no more spoilers.....it’s time to make a blog.” So I did! And I posted my first fic! And I’m so happy i did :)

What Do I Post: a bunch of multi fandom stuff XD. This blog started off as 90% Miraculous, 10% other fandoms I like...but now it’s just kind of a hodgepoge of my favorite fandoms (with a focus on Phineas and Ferb, lol). I reblog a lot of posts, and then I post original stuff too! I write fanfic, nowadays for Phineas and Ferb but for Miraculous in the past (and probably in the future!), I draw art (mostly Phinabella art because I’ve been drawing them since i was 11 and it feels good to return to my roots), and OCCASIONALLY I will write an analysis post (I’ve got one in the works rn actually 👀), attempt to make a meme, or dip my toe into salt just SLIGHTLY before quickly backing away, lol. If I were to list the fandoms I post about in the order of how frequently I post about them, I’d probably say: Phineas and Ferb, Miraculous....and thennnnn everything else is pretty random and depends on the day, lol.

Last thing i googled: Jay Baruchel 😂. Couldn’t remember how to spell his last name!

Other blogs: this is my only blog! Sometimes I think about making a separate blog for my art and writing, but I am not sure if I should or not....maybe I will someday, but idk. I also have an AO3 for fanfic and an Instagram for art! All are under the name “authenticcadence18.”

Do I get asks: sometimes, yeah!! Sometimes I reblog ask games/prompts and get some asks for those (I’ve got so many prompts in my inbox I want to write/draw things for...ah it’s fine, I’ll get to it eventually😅), and sometimes lovely people will leave thoughts or nice messages in my inbox🥺💕. I’ve got a specific tag for all those nice messages so I can read back over them whenever I need a boost!

Why this url: it’s a music pun! When a song/section of a piece of music ends with a dominant chord resolving to a tonic chord (if you’ve read a certain fic of mine you should know allll about dominant and tonic chords👀🤣), it’s called an authentic cadence! There are different kinds of cadences, and authentic ones are my favorite. One example of this is “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.” I also use this blog to be my authentic, fandom-loving self! So I like authentic cadences, and also, I’m Cadence and using this blog to be authentic! Woo! (And 18 is just my favorite number, lol) I’m glad I ended up choosing a name that doesn’t tie to a specific fandom becaaaaaause this ended up being a multi fandom blog!

Average amount of sleep: wellllll for the past week and a half I was sick so I was probably getting 9ish hours a night (because I would sleep in really late, lol). but NOW? In my immediate future? I suspect my average amount of sleep is going to go down because I’m really bad about staying up late even when I have to get up early😅. Hoping to be good about getting at least 7ish hours a night!

Lucky number: 18! But y’all probably already guessed that, lol.

Instruments: my voice, piano, ukulele, viola (but it’s been a HOT minute), aaaand i used to be able to play guitar but then I got a ukulele and forgot all the guitar chords. (I also dabble in songwriting! I primarily use voice and piano when writing music.)

What I’m wearing: my favorite sweatshirt (that was last night, rn I have on a tanktop), some leggings, and socks!

Dream job: I’m currently learning to be a teacher, and I LOVE teaching and working with kids so that is definitely a job I’m really excited about!!! I would also love to portray characters at Disney or something (well, maybe not at Disney because I hear they’re strict, but like....I want to be Rapunzel or Anna or something, that would be so fun). OR, I would LOVE to work in tv animation somehow, be it voice acting, writing scripts/music, and/or story boarding. basically if I could do what Dan and Swampy did for Phineas and Ferb/Milo Murphy’s Law, I would LOVE THAT. (Especially the writing music part. Getting to write music for established characters and get PAID for it would be SO COOL.!.!.!) Also I think it would be so fun to write Disney storybooks! Like, those books that are about Cinderella baking a cake or Ariel befriending a seahorse, stuff like that. Those brought me a ton of joy as a child!

Dream trip: I want to visit alllll the Disney parks someday😅. (Not right now because, ya know, Covid...but someday!)

Fave food: uhhh i really like pizza. And popcorn. Also hummus and guacamole!

last book: I got the book Unbirthday for Christmas! It’s basically Disney’s Alice in Wonderland, but if she’d never gone to wonderland and things went horribly wrong there. (I think, I’m not that far into it yet, lol)

Top 3 fictional universes I’d love to live in: 1. DANVILLE, PLS. Especially as a kid, I SO would’ve loved to hang out with Isabella and Phineas and the rest of the gang! Danville is so vibrant and unique and people are always randomly breaking into song there, that’s my kind of place! 2. Fairytopia (from the Barbie movies!) because I could be a fairy OR a mermaid OR BOTH and eat seeweed to breathe underwater even if I wasn’t a mermaid. Like, that’s the dream right there. (I’ve always loved mermaids and fairies, lol!) 3. Maybe San Fransokyo from Big Hero 6? All of the technology in that universe is really cool! And I would love to eat a noodle burger, lol .

1. Do you have a preferred genre to write? Do you like to stay within the rough directions of the genre or do you like to mix and match?

hmmmm I mean like, what would constitutes as a genre? Fluff & Angst with some mild spooky/creepy tones? Yes. Dat me. Granted like the Fluff is more often and prominent but my god do I LOOOOOVE writing some spooky/paranormal shit. UGH my jam, bread, and peanut butter toast. It just depends on my mood tbh lol

2. Are you a writer that has a plot idea and then figures out what character(s) to use for that or are you more set on writing (a) specific character(s) and come up with a plot around them?

Typically its specific characters and SOMETIMES I have plot... but more often than not I like go “I want EMOTIONS TO HAPPEN DAMN IT!!!” Plot happens sometimes... honestly I have been writing more plot as of late, but like again the characters were pre-determined because uuuh that’s why I’m writing lol. I am very much a pantser with some vague ideas of plot, but things tend to go sideways if I try to plan too much shit lol (Brain gets tricked into thinking shit is done for one... Two: its dat adhd and focusing is hard lol)

3. 1st person, 2nd, 3rd, all knowing narrator or unreliable narrator and so many more choices - do you have a clear preference? Or different ones for different kinds of writing? Do you feel a certain pov works best with a certain setting and if yes, which one?

3rd person limited with a dash of unreliable narrator. I personally cannot stand 1st person...takes me a bit to dig into 1st person lol. Funny enough when I was oooo I wanna say like pre-teen time, I would swap POVs constantly without realizing I was? I had thoughts for all the characters involved and had no idea how POV worked other than “This is what this person is thinking.” And it apparently was like...a super natural flow that a few people have commented on how they loved it? Like...huh neat!

As I’ve gotten older, its sometimes hard for me to like...not swap POVs (it also depends on what I’m trying to convey in the fic) since I’m still in that mode of wanting to reveal everything and how much thought I put into it. The uuuuuh recent fic I’m working on (Rest & Rewind) I actually found a fun way to naturally swap POVs while still keeping it limited!

Hearing the thoughts and feelings of a character is...really fun and I’m glad I sorta finally figured out how to write it cause like 3rd person POV is my go-to. The limited and unreliable narrator is fun just cause like, you’re learning as the character is learning and progressing through the story.

Are you named after anyone? I’mmm named after the Chelsea Soccer (football) team, because my mom loved sports when she was young, and the TV was showing this team in her hospital room!

Ninjago is one of the first things on here, ofc. More than that however, I love the history and lore of it! There are still so many questions many people around me might consider outdated or whatever, but they still confound me to no end! (Heck, dm me if you wanna hear me ramble)

Lions. Big cats, and cats, of course, but lions are my favorite. I'm actually heading into college now to get a degree in biological sciences, and, long story short, my lifetime goal is to save the big cats! (MSG me bout that if you wanna hear me rant n ramble too)

FOOD. Holy SHIT I love trying new recipes. I'll get cravings at midnight, look to see what's in the pantry and look up recipes that I can swing by on! Sometimes its perfect, other times... Total failure. (I've had bad luck with mug cakes lately)

My OCs. I know this also seems redundant, but these guys are like friends n family to me, all in my head. And it's not just Marcie, Devion, and Jayden, either! I have so many that aren't even connected to ninjago that I love so much. I'd be happy to introduce some if you'd like. (Again, just ask!)

Drawing. I suck at it. But at the same time I really love doing it! It helps me design not only my characters, but helps my stress and helps me design maps and creations for my stories! I hope eventually I'll get good at it, or at least get a cheap pen tablet to get better at it.

You All time favourite character: This is hard because I fall in love very hard with every part, but currently I’d safely say Mista!

Favourite JoJo: Josuke and Giorno!

Favourite JoBro: Mista and Rohan!

Favourite Villain: Kira!!!! (I’d say La Squadra but they are angels I cannot classify as villains, in my heart)

Favourite stand: Moody Blues and Sex Pistols! I find Moody to be astoundingly beautiful, and it’s power is one I find particularly great in the modern world setting! Fitting for a police officer such as Abba! Sex Pistols being my favorite is majorly due to the huge motherly instincts that kick in when I see them; I just want to pamper the little children...

Favourite part: Currently, part 5. But I have a feeling once I read part 7 that’s gonna change, maybe. (｢`･ω･)｢

Favourite thing about JoJo: Quite a bunch! From the way it depicts its characters, to its bizarre story, to how we get to engage with the characters and feel for them, how it never ceases to surprise me! And I just find the series as a whole a wonderful story, with a nostalgic feel to it, and I just can’t help but fall in love with it all over.

Give a hug to: I’m too soft for this question... everyone?? I think I’m not allowed to do that. But sorry, I just think they all deserve a hug (´；ω；`)

Get or give comfort to: Give, practically everyone in part 5??? They’re all so tragically sad and stressed I need to do something about it. Also the gang from part 4, they are soft and a lot happened. Get comfort from... I guess I’d really like to get comfort from Bruno or Erina. They’d be great at it.

Go out on a date with: If I follow my stupid romantic side, Mista (I won’t shut up about him and I’m sorry) But If I think about having fun and having a really complete ideal date, I’d say Josuke works wonderfully! I want an arcade date and to go shopping aaaa

Move out and go live with (as roommates): Narancia. Please let us be chaos gremlins together. Also I want to eat pizza with him on the couch as we watch Devilman and sing the opening horribly but with great enthusiasm!

Marry: Mista!

What is your dream activity with who, where and how long: I dream quite often of walking through a calm promenade while the sun sets in winter, holding hands with Mista as he tells me whatever thing comes to mind, then we sit on a bench to drink something hot while the night starts to cover the sky with stars. Then we go home. That’s it sorry for being soft and cheesy on main.

The character you relate the most to: This is... a very hard question. But if I had to really choose one I relate to, it would probably be Narancia. We both suck at maths, we both like to do our thing, have big dumb bitch energy, and are very emotional. And Trish but lets not dig into that.

Did JoJo make a better change in your life? How did it help, is it a big or minor change: Actually jojo did make a change in my life! It lead me to make myself a Discord account and there I've met countless people I consider close friends today! Also, its always something that cheers me up! And recently, I’ve gotten to join the writing jojo community and it has been most wonderful!

Do you self ship or oc ship with a canon character: I have no OCs actually! And never really thought of making one honestly. I do lowkey highkey self ship with Mista, Bruno, Risotto and Rohan though (those being the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse, there’s more to a minor extent).

If you had a stand, which one would you like to have? However, realistically which one would you most likely get with your past and demeanor: I’d love to have Golden Experience! It seems like such a wholesome stand. Although realistically, I think I’d get Spice Girl. I feel as though I may be incorrect in saying this, but surely I’d get a stand that, well, helps me stand for myself and think the situation optimally when it comes to caring for my own self. A stand that’s somewhat its own separate being, like the rational side as you could call it. 3B Trailer Reaction / Commentary

Ngl after watching the trailer for the first time I laughed my ass of for a solid minute because the scene changes where so swift that I didn't get a thing LOL Then I rewatched it, pausing every 0.03 seconds and here are my thoughts. Pls bear with my shitty screenshots ;)

HELL YEAH WINGS IT WAS ABOUT DAMN TIME!!!! After Jace (Dom, whatever) invented a Wing Rune in that one video and after there's an official Winged Rune on the Shadowhunters Wiki Page

Uhhh agree to disagree. Maia is a strong and fierce character, and she knows how to demand respect... but she is way too trigger-happy to be a good leader. Case in point

literally the next frame is her smashing one of her packmembers. I mean, Luke didn't do too good a job either, with (understandably) prioritizing Clary over his pack and his general penachant for avoiding conflicts and trying to wait things out (and I'm still not over the shit he pulled in 3x04). Which is why in my opinion both of them together would be what's best for the pack, balancing each other out.

When I first saw this gif (because of course I saw three billion gifsets before I saw the trailer) I thought 'whaaaat does Alec have magic now?????' until I realized this is Cat's hand. Heh. There go my Warlock!Alec-Dreams. For now.

Honestly the only really bad things about 2017 were not personal for me. Our government, and then watching 2017 be awful for some friends, that’s it. But I can’t complain about how 2017 treated me and my family specifically.

ON TO THE POSITIVITY

Baby #3 is a little ball of sunshine who smiles most of the time (a huge difference from the first two, who were very serious babies). And the older two are very well behaved; I’m constantly amazed when I have to be around other people’s children. I can’t take credit, though, because I really have NO idea how I would go about dealing with some of the behavior I’ve seen from other kids. Mine just...choose to be good. Thanks, kids!

I lost 35lbs, which means I’m only 15lbs away from a healthy BMI and 30lbs away from my goal weight -- I’m aiming for the middle of healthy BMI, not the low end, never fear people who like to make comments on that :P My eating habits have definitely improved, and I’m making more of a conscious effort to not be sedentary even though all my favorite hobbies are sedentary hobbies. And I can tell that it’s making a difference! I don’t get winded as easily, I feel lighter on my feet, and I don’t feel like my stomach is trying to suffocate me anymore. (If you count from my highest pregnancy weight I lost closer to 65lbs but...with every pregnancy I’ve pretty easily lost 30lbs with no effort because it wasn’t fat gain, it was placenta and vein expansion and those other exciting biological weird things that happen when you get pregnant)

I had a phsyical and the doctor said my health is perfect \0/

I finished the first two Memrise Japanese courses, which of course leaves me far from fluent but closer than I was! I’m actually starting them over, though, because Memrise pulled the versions I was working on and the updated versions have the same vocabularly and phrases but with added kanji! and obviously kanji is important, so. Since I only need to focus on the kanji this round it shouldn’t take as long, I think? I might do it concurrently with the original third course.

I improved my art more than I initially realized (see my above comparison, which I am very proud of lol) And I did this despite having a baby! I have such a long way to go before I get to goal, but any progress is good right? and my husband got me a CINTIQ which is AMAZING and also photoshop, which currently hates me but lol I’ll figure it out I’m sure

I started a 1x1 RP with my BFF that’s following a plot I’ve wanted to RP for, oh, close to a decade now and it’s even better than I could have imagined. And I found an RP forum that I love (also thanks to the BFF)! The other writers are fantastic and they write the same types of slightly overbearingly political themes and also I think I have FINALLY found a home for a character that I’ve had trouble placing ahhh I’m so excited

A lot of great music came out of 2017!!! Too many songs I loved to enumerate.

1. What is your favorite non-Victuuri character from YoI? Why?

Mari! She’s such an awesome, supportive big sister to Yuuri, and I really love that effortless connection between them. I kinda look like her too, lol. I’d love to cosplay her someday.

2. If you could visit anywhere in the world, without worrying about money, where would you go?

Gosh, anywhere? I’d love to go to Ireland. It’s so green and lovely, and my ancestors were Irish. I’d love to learn more about the culture.

3. Favorite video game/board game?

Right now, I’m hooked on The Witcher 3 and Animal Crossing: New Leaf. An odd combo, but they’re both such relaxing games! I love them. ♡

4. Do you have a talent that is very unlike/unique from your other talents/skills, unique or unknown?

Ooo, well, let’s see…I have a lot of musical background, I’ve played piano and sang my whole life. I can also whistle scarily on key, apparently. And even though I’m a painting major, I’ve recently fallen in love with wheel-throwing ceramics. Never thought I’d be good at it, but I’m not too shabby as it turns out!

5. What superhero would you most like to be and why?

Hhhhhmmmmmmm, that’s a hard one…I’ll go with Storm? Cause she can fly and she can make a cozy rainy day whenever she wants.

I’m not a huge fan of Disney, but I did love Aristocats as a kid, and still do. I don’t know that I have one favorite character, though, except for maybe that one way past cool cat that sang “everybody wants to be a cat”.

Virgil Longbottom’s not the brightest halfling in the cabbage patch, no two ways about it. Curly-haired sod is a bit flighty, if not entirely scatterbrained, and he talks aplenty when it would serve him to hold his tongue. But when he lets loose with that long scythe of his, you’d better shield either your eyes or your nads, cause he’s goin’ for one of em, and his aim ain’t nothing to sneeze at. (Lol that was fun)

10. How many languages do you know? Are there any you want to learn?

Aaah, does knowing some phrases in Sindarin count? 😅😅 English is all I know, but I’d love to learn Gaelic or Polish.
