Usually, as you know, I repair stuffed animals and dolls. It's the original that matters, the story and memories they hold. A new one wouldn't be the same. But once in a very blue moon, I make a custom animal to match another. Very blue moon because I really can't replicate commercial stuffed animals. I'm making them by hand and it doesn't look the same. But in this case, it was a former patient's family that reached out to me. That patient, Bunny, just wanted a new spa. But since Bunny had been in the hospital, there was a new addition to the family, a little girl, who really loved.... well a toy fox her mom's best friend had made for her. They wanted a new, sturdier fox, close enough so the little girl (15 months old) would accept it. They had the original book the pattern for the fox came from. Could I help?
Well, of course I said Bunny could come back for a spa, and I'd see what I could do for the fox twin. Here is Bunny, in his spa (he's from Goodnight Moon):
And here's the original fox. You may be able to tell he's mostly felt. That's part of why he's wearing so quickly:
Bunny didn't need a new heart, he had one from his last spa, and it went back in:
Meanwhile, we had to choose fabrics for the fox, both his main fur and his torso fabric:
Soon, Bunny was ready to go home, but he had to wait for Fox to finish being created, which took a touch longer:
But not too long... here's Fox ready to go meet his family:
Great! said their family. And the pair flew home to Maryland.
I was talking a bit about this but I think part of the reason iterators are designed as these small little doll-like puppets is both to humanize and dehumanize them by the Ancients. The puppet, at is core, is a means for communication with a great biological machine- to give it a face and features and ground it as you ask its advice or it's progress. This massive, world-altering creation simplified down to this little thing that had all the features of a person.
But its also small, cute, Ancient-like but clearly not an Ancient itself. They're colorful and simple, like a toy for children. And I think thats largely how Ancients saw them- often not as a person with desires and opinions but as an extension of the Ancient's work, a personalized character that represented their cities and people, whos citizens could like them and were comprehensible to their children, but was not them- and would not reap the reward of being them when a solution was found. Each one pretty and unique to make them individuals, but not seen- truly- as individuals by many- just as parts of their cities, something under the Ancients. Like if every town had its own personal My Little Pony they could ask advice on where the next community center should be built.
I am wholly enraptured by @o-i-w-u's Lord Bloodmoon design and I had to get some drawings out or else I'd die VERY dramatically. This beast was So fun 2 draw <3<3<3

I just realized that when Rick Prime forced/manipulated the Ricks who were trying to kill him into fighting each other, he wasn't just taunting and humiliating them.
He was actively turning them against one another so that none of them would be left alive to go after him.
The trick to surviving this really was to work together. Rick C-137 was right on the money.
And Rick Prime killed Diane to hurt all those Ricks because said Ricks dared to... "act like they were better [than Rick Prime]".
And later the following exchange occurred:
...Which is shortly afterwards followed by Rick Prime saying this to Rick C-137:
...I can't believe I ever thought that Rick Prime said this because he was scared of dying and wanted to find a chance to escape.
wait wait wait wait wait in creations and consequences of love is toy soldier still a wooden puppet thing? or is it some random person who kinda just takes orders? maybe it has a curse of its own? i cant see a character like the toy soldier existing without magic of some sort. how did it wind up in some little tiny village? what is it doing there besides being marius's hype man? im thinking it used to be a normal person at one point and got cursed pretty young so it really just views it as normal, it made its way to a small town because big city would carry a lot of risk of someone taking advantage of it. marius probably stepped in on its behalf pretty early to make sure none of the villagers got any ideas and theyve been besties ever since
Created in the wake of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Street Sharks was an animated series and toy line about crime-fighting man-shark hybrids that aired from 1994 to 1997.
In honor of the 30th anniversary, Mattel is releasing 6" action figures of Slash (with drilling action), Ripster (with punching action), and Jab (with head-butt action). Priced at $25, each toy comes with a shark cage. They're expected to ship in July.
