Had a BNHA dream last night (finally lol)
Mr. Aizawa made all of Class 1A make YouTube channels and create content for it as an assignment. They had to reach at least 100 subs for said assignment. Here's the channels I remember:
Deku and Jirou made like... horror comedy?? If that makes sense? They both made scary videos but they were funny (mainly bc they were acting out said horror with hand puppets kdjhgkj)
Only video I saw from Tsu was abt puppies lol (which caught some TodoMomo flirting in the bg. You two lovebirds get out of the shot! Some of us want to see the puppies! lol)
I don't exactly remember what Mineta's content was but it... wasn't that bad, whatever it was. Wasn't the content you'd expect from him at all. Was it a little obnoxious? Sure, but it wasn't pervy, whatever it was. Plus, he had surprisingly good editing on his videos, and he gave shout-outs to his friends so they'd get subs. (Can't believe I'm complimenting Mineta rn...) All I remember from his content was that it revealed he could speak another language... Some sort of Scandinavian language but idk which one. It was weird lol
I don't remember what Denki's content was to begin with, but he began making videos abt leaving little gift bags for his classmates who reached 100 subs and thus completed the assignment. It was so sweet! (One of his gifts for Jirou was asking her out on a date. Seems I'm a hopeless romantic even in my dreams.)
And that's all I remember. Sorry if it got rambly lol

Here's a random Todomomo art :>
I got into Todomomo recently while reading the MHA Smash!! manga. The more I read, the more I saw it lol--
Anyway, if you're curious, this scene may-or-may-not appear in a one-shot collection I'm currently writing on Wattpad/Ao3.
This is going to be a clip taking place on Valentine's Day. The idea was Todoroki found the sunflower lying on the ground (as he claims) and he didn't want it to get thrown out. Although he's so dense he doesn't realize what giving someone a sunflower represents. 👀
Read it here! (Ao3)

Caught in the Rain (With You)
G | BNHA | Words - 1.5K | Todomomo | Bookstore/University AU
AO3
Summary: After the bookstore closes for the day, Yaoyorozu ends up stuck under the canopy outside while waiting out a storm. She finds herself in the company of a young man who happens to get stuck with her.
“Excuse me, miss. We’re closing in five minutes.”
Yaoyorozu startled and bowed in apology. She carefully placed the book in her hand back onto the shelf, making sure to slot it in the same place she had taken it from.
After making sure the shelf looked tidy, Yaoyorozu went to the counter with the two books she had chosen.
Plus Ultra bookstore was a quaint little place filled with shelves upon shelves of literature of varying genres. Yaoyorozu often found something to her liking whenever she visited, though she wished that could be more often. University classes and studying ate up a lot of her time, so she was thankful it only took a few minutes to walk to the store from campus.
As she neatly tucked the two books into her backpack, making sure to say a quick thank you to the owner, Yaoyorozu noticed a young man who looked to be her age waiting behind her. His hair was parted evenly down the middle, one side a deep crimson and the other as white as snow. Heterochromatic eyes stared back as Yaoyorozu smiled out of politeness, the left one surrounded by an angry-looking burn scar. All in all, the young man was objectively very handsome.
Yaoyorozu shook her head. What would her mother say if she caught her ogling a boy so openly?
With that thought in mind, she hurried out of the store.
Only to find it was raining. Hard. Droplets came down in a heavy downpour, collecting into puddles that rapidly expanded in size and splashing off the ground. Yaoyorozu was only kept dry by the awning displaying the store’s name above her head but the pavement below her feet was already getting damp. A clap of thunder sounded in the distance as thick, dark clouds rolled by above.
Yaoyorozu bit her lip. If she were to walk back to campus in this weather, she would get thoroughly soaked. There was also the possibility of hypothermia to consider, not to mention the written draft of her research paper would be in ruins. It was a risk Yaoyorozu found herself unwilling to take. But what was she to do to solve this dilemma?
The store owner rushed past her and got into a car parked a few metres down the road, slamming the door behind him.
There!
Yaoyorozu opened her mouth, but just as she was about to call out and ask for a ride (she’s been a regular customer for a few months now. A small favour shouldn’t be too much to ask for) he drove away. She sighed, body slumping forward ever so slightly.
Maybe she should risk it. The research paper wasn’t due for a few weeks. But her backpack wasn’t waterproof, so everything in it would end up damaged if not destroyed.
She would just have to wait it out! She could be patient.
“Are you okay?”
Yaoyorozu jumped, letting out a rather unladylike squeak as her hand shot up to cover her mouth. The boy from inside the store stood to her right, his head tilted inquisitively.
“Pardon me,” she said, clearing her throat. “I hadn’t realised you were there.”
His brows furrowed. “Sorry I startled you.”
“No, it’s okay. I get lost in my thoughts sometimes.” Yaoyorozu said reassuringly. All the boy did in return was nod.
Not much of a talker, was he?
Yaoyorozu fiddled with her thumbs, watching the rain splatter from the ground and onto her knee-length boots. It showed no signs of easing up any time soon. She glanced to her right. The young man hadn’t moved. He flicked his hand up, checking the watch on his wrist.
“If you don’t mind me asking, why were you at the bookstore?” She asked in an attempt to pass the time. He blinked back at her as if not expecting the conversation to continue. His brows furrowed, eyes narrowing.
“To buy a book,” he said, glancing down at the one in his hand.
Yaoyorozu giggled but that only seemed to further his confusion. “No, no. That’s not what I meant,” she said with a smile and a shake of her head. “I meant to ask why you’re buying a book.”
The boy whispered a very quiet “oh,” before holding the book up closer to his chest with the front facing toward her. The cover showed an illustration of a young couple, their foreheads resting together and their eyes closed. The couple’s hands were held together against their chests. The title was printed at the bottom, the words in a beautiful, swirling cursive.
Yaoyorozu raised a brow. A romance novel? A peculiar choice for a young man, but some people like things you wouldn’t expect, she supposed.
(Her roommate Jirou, for example, also enjoyed the romance genre, though Yaoyorozu was sworn to secrecy.)
“It’s for my older sister,” he explained. “It’s her birthday soon, and this is the newest novel from her favourite author.”
“How sweet of you,” she whispered, smiling softly. She didn’t have any siblings of her own but the idea of one buying a book for her birthday made her heart sing with joy. This boy clearly cared for his sister, going as far as to pay attention to her favourites.
“What about you? I saw you bought two,” he said.
“One is for a research paper I’m working on and the other is from a book series I’ve been enjoying lately,” she replied, excitement laced into her voice.
“What series is it?”
When she relayed the name to him, his eyebrows darted up ever so slightly. Yaoyorozu supposed it was equivalent to the average, more expressional person gasping.
“I’m also a fan,” he said, lips curling into a barely-noticeable smile. Her eyes widened. “Which book are you up to?”
“The seventh.”
“Me too.”
“What a funny coincidence! You can borrow it from me when I’ve completed it,” she kindly offered. It was the store’s only copy, so she knew he would have to go out of his way to order one from somewhere else otherwise. The local library likely wouldn’t have it in stock yet since it was a small place and the book only released the previous week.
He nodded. “I’d like that. Thank you.”
Yaoyorozu involuntarily clapped her hands together—a habitual way of showing her excitement. As she began to gush about her love for the series, he listened intently, chiming in occasionally. Yaoyorozu couldn’t be any more delighted to have finally found someone to talk about it with.
As their conversation continued, she learnt also they both had the same taste in literature. Yaoyorozu herself had always loved to read. It was a great passion of hers, one of life’s many joys. In fact, it was the very reason she chose to pursue literature and education degrees. It was her goal to pass down that great love for reading to the next generation. In turn, he informed her he was studying at the same university, though a medical degree, not literature or education. To save people’s lives, he said, and to follow in his older brothers’ footsteps. Yaoyorozu thought it was very admirable.
A key difference between them, though, was that he didn’t live on campus. His siblings’ shared apartment wasn’t too far away, so he lived with them instead of at the dorms like most other first years.
Noticing the sound of the rain had gotten quieter, Yaoyorozu held out a hand. It was thinner now, almost a drizzle. Much more preferable for walking in.
“I should be able to get back to campus without getting drenched now,” she said, readjusting the straps of her backpack and making sure it was shut properly. “It was a pleasure to meet you.”
Just as Yaoyorozu took a step forward, he called out to her.
“Wait,” he reached into his pocket and pulled out his phone, the simple white case slightly battered at the corners. “We should exchange numbers.”
“Oh, you’re absolutely right,” she said, smacking her forehead. How could she be so careless?
Yaoyorozu stepped back under the cover of the awning and took off her backpack, tucking some loose strands of hair behind her ears as she reached into the back pocket. Pressing a finger to her phone, she unlocked it with her fingerprint and opened it to the contacts page.
As Yaoyorozu exchanged it for his and quickly typed her name and number, she realised something. They’d been so caught up in their conversation, they skipped the introduction step entirely. She didn’t even know the boy’s name, yet it already felt like they’d known each other for a long time.
She took her phone back, quickly glancing down at the screen.
Shouto Todoroki.
Yaoyorozu hummed happily. Looking up, she saw an identical expression adorning his face. She hadn’t noticed it before, but when Todoroki smiled there were cute dimples on his cheeks.
“I’ll be sure to contact you when I’ve finished reading the book,” she promised, a blush rising to her cheeks.
As Yaoyorozu waved to him and set off back to the dorms, Todoroki smiled softly and nodded. “I look forward to it.”

Got any future love interests for the kids?? ^^
YES ohakgnsj I LOVE THEM SO BAD THANK U FOR ASKING!!! ausgsjs theyre all also kid ocs and i have designs for them in mind BUT IM A LIL TOO TIRED TO DRAW RN SO I HOPE YALL UNDERSTAND 😭
NANA
has two childhood friends which are iidachako's kid (Mizuki "Tsuki" Iida) and kirimina's kid (Yōko Ashido)!
theyre... close. and hang out a lot and all that stuff but REALLY — at some point it was hard for them to tell if it was because it was just expected of them to be friends or if they really actually clicked.
especially since yōko and tsuki knew each other and only got introduced to nana when she was around 5. yōko is the eldest followed by tsuki and then leaving nana as the youngest. theyre all gapped in age by one year, but that didnt change much since nana was very... mature.
in late middleschool to highschool, they all kinda grew apart and made friends in their respective year groups instead.
after all graduating from UA, tsuki and yōko reconnected with each other but nana stayed apart for a bit, being too busy training and learning to take on the mantle of OfA
she briefly dated someone from the general studies of UA in 2nd year all the way until maybe a few months after graduation — but it didnt work out bc her partner turned out to disapprove of her want to be a hero and the next wielder of ofa, misguidingly believing her fathers forced it on her (even though thats FAR from the truth)
after reconnecting and settling into her new life, she ends up in a very loving relationship with yōko!
bakugou regularly calls up his best friend to ask for updates on his kid and her relationship like a nosey old man
TOSHI
CLICHE AS HELL BUT WOULD U BELIEVE ME IF I TOLD YOU HE HAS AND ALWAYS CLICKED WITH TODOMOMO'S KID? (shiki todoroki-yaoyorozu, they/she/he)
theyre about the same age, and i'd describe their dynamic as the classic introvert x extrovert that adopted them
shiki and toshi been close since forever!! toshi always willing to jump in and do dumb shit while shiki stands off to the side like "you know what maybe we shouldnt use my mom's bo staff to poke that hornets nest to check for honey..."
and like. theyre INSEPARABLE right? so even as the two of them grow up its so hard for toshi to see them as anything other than this person he grew up with even as shiki grew into a combo of their parents deadly gorgeous looks
because to HIM shiki is just... shiki. the same ole shikj he saw eat their own boogers and get sick from trying to lick back a stray cat that took a liking to them.
and the amount of jokes shiki and toshi make about each others parents? unBEARABLE. absolutely devastating.
the phrase "your dad"' is literally banned in both the midoriya-bakugou and the todoroki-yaoyorozu households
when they enter ua u can rest assured knowing every single teacher of theirs started greying at the hair trying to contain the both of them. it doesnt help that theyre both very obviously powerful and dominate the sports festival every damn year
they get seperate for nearly two years because shiki decides to go travel the world and train elsewhere for a bit and they FIGHT and its bad and ugly and for a good year and a half they dont talk even tho theyve both been stewing on that damn argument
and as the date of shiki's arrival goes closer and closer both of them cant wait to reunite and finally apologize and make amends, shiki expecting toshi to meet them at the airport and getting excited to finally confess their feelings, thinking that as long as toshi shows up, they have a shot—
— and then toshi gets shot back into the past (15 years ago) for 6 damn months.
and all that time shiki spends lamenting wasting their time and the loss of their best friend who went missing after a villain attack and its all sad and shit until toshi shows up out of the blue after going through his Own self discovery journey and tackles shiki's tall ass to the ground
and thats toshi's own "oh" moment especially after meeting and growing close w todoroki from the past
and they get together! the end. katsuki has another conniption.

in a committed relationship with causing problems

A PR Scandal (A Todomomo One-Shot)
Todoroki’s lack of media training is amusing until Yaoyorozu gets dragged into his latest scandal. Inspired by his strugglefest in Chapter 241.
-------
Answer within five seconds. Don’t overthink your answers. Be relatable, they said. If it’s specific to the police investigation, just say it’s confidential. He must look prepared and assertive to the public.
That’s what Todoroki recalls, minutes after he single-handedly defeated two Nomus. He was ready to fall apart, covered head to toe in debris, a slash across his chest, and a broken left rib. But here he stands, in front of a heavy camera and a news reporter jabbing the mic in his face.
Despite his exhaustion, Todoroki thought he had it under control. The questions were straightforward and fulfilled his criteria for minimal thinking.
“How did you defeat the Nomus all by yourself?”
“Ice and fire.”
“You haven’t even graduated U.A. but rumor has it that you’ll qualify for the Billboard Rankings next month! How did you get so strong so fast?”
“I train every day, study hard for exams, then maintain a healthy balance of quality friendship time versus solitude.”
“How are you treating yourself after this big win?”
“Soba.”
Easy, just as it should be. He was on auto-pilot, even as the reporter entered into her so-called rapid fire stage. Just say whatever comes to mind first and it’ll be over soon.
Until it backfires.
“Now Shoto, you have a very large female fan base crushing on you everyday. Do you have a special girl in your life?”
“‘Special girl?’” Todoroki blinks. They didn’t teach him this at the agency.
“You know, any pretty girls at school?”
“Like Yaoyorozu?”
———-
In the common area, Class A’s mood flips from their obnoxious cackling to a deathly silence. The spark being their Vice President’s name slipping out of Todoroki’s lips. And Yaoyorozu herself? Choking on her tea, its calming effects rendered useless with the latest revelation.
“M-M-Me?” Yaoyorozu stutters, eyes wide in shock.
It was a class ritual to watch Todoroki’s interviews because he always said funny, weird shit. But today? They didn’t know if it was a reckoning or the best thing that ever happened.
“What the fuck...” Jiroh gasps.
“So the shit show begins...” Tokoyami sighs.
“It’s only downhill from here for Todoroki-chan,” Tsu comments. “He was doing so good ‘til now.”
“Ohh is this a secret crush? A girlfriend?”
“‘Girlfriend?’” Todoroki repeats, confused.
“AHHH SO CUTE! THIS JUST IN FOLKS: ENDEAVOR’S SON CONFIRMS HIS SECRET RELATIONSHIP!”
“How do I have-”
“Now, tell us all about your new girlfriend Yaoyorozu!”
“Uh-confidential?”
On the screen, a sidekick drags Todoroki away, who is in disbelief at the turning tides. Midoriya turns the TV off, too aware of Yaoyorozu squirming next to him on the couch. He stands up, wavering his hands to the group.
“Hey guys, lets keep in mind that this is not Yaoyo-”
No one listens.
“TODOROKI IS IN LOVE WITH YAOMOMO!” Kirishima declares.
“I KNEW IT HALFIE HAS HORMONES!”
“GREATEST INTERVIEW EVER!”
“Intraclass relationships, oh how do I manage this as your President?!”
“I’m not dating him, Iida-san!”
“Guys, it’s all over the news!” Hagakure squeals, scrolling on her phone.
Yaoyoruzu opens her phone’s News app, horrified at the flood of Todoroki’s face on her feed.
“Endeavor’s Son Reveals Secret Girlfriend!”
“Icy Hot Hero’s Steamy Love Affair!”
“Shoto Breaks Our Hearts, Announces New Girlfriend Yaoyorozu!”
“Guess I’m not the only one staring at your boobs,” Mineta jeers, drooling in Yaoyorozu’s direction.
“Todoroki-san isn’t like that!” Yaoyorozu exclaims, crossing her arm to shield her chest.
“He legit admitted he’s got the hots for you, Yaomomo,” Sero cackles.
“I bet there’s a lotta wild thoughts within that dense skull,” Denki hollers, earning a punch from Jiroh.
“Give Yaoyorozu a break. We know Todoroki,” Midoriya tries to calm the situation. “He probably just said the first girl that came to mind.”
“That’s why it’s hilarious! First in mind, first in heart!”
“I thought he swung the other side,” Tokoyami shrugs, nudging at Kirishima and Bakugo.
“WHACHA TRYNA IMPLY, CHICKEN BOY?!”
Midoriya catches Yaoyorozu stand up abruptly from the couch, then run away from the common area. Hearing a door slam shut upstairs, he sighs.
Honestly, he would have done the same too.
——
He had been caught off guard.
They told him not to mention his private life for this reason. Now he was dealing with the pitfalls, his own words manipulated against him.
Todoroki doesn’t know how to escape this mess. Except, well, by actually escaping the interview and jumping back to his dorm. Nor does his father screaming through the phone make it any better.
“SHOTO! WHY AM I LEARNING ABOUT YOUR GIRLFRIEND ON TV?!”
“Look-”
“Who is this girl? Why haven’t I met her? What’s her class ranking? How compatible is her Quirk with yours? Who did she intern under? I need references. And how the fuck does she put up with your dumbass-”
Todoroki hangs up the phone, U.A. now in sight. He makes his final descent from his ice, then deactivates his Quirk on his dorm’s rooftop.
His classmates definitely watched that interview. The fact that he could hear yelling, alongside his own name, confirms so. Todoroki never understood why they found his interviews amusing, but today proved them right. He rather go straight to his room than deal with the mass interrogation awaiting him.
“Come on, that fool will never ask Yaomomo out! All he cares is trolling his pops!”
“Todoroki’s too dense to know what feelings are!”
Yaoyorozu...
He embarrassed her in front of their class and needed to apologize. It wasn’t his intentional to being her up, if she would believe it. It really was a slip.
And he’s not as dense as his Class thinks. He’s just...unsure on how to proceed. When second year started, being around Yaoyorozu made him feel a certain way that wasn’t there before. Something that he couldn’t see with Midoriya and the other guys. That she was someone to admire beyond her looks. That she was a trustworthy companion who never judged his stupid feelings. That he wanted them to be something more than a good friend who he trains and studies with. It was just an evolved form of their platonic friendship, right?
Except there had moments where Todoroki knew this was not the case. Moments that made him not in control, whether it was unintentionally activating his left side, finding his fist clenched right, or avoiding Yaoyorozu just to not deal with whatever turmoil he endured.
When their hands skimmed the other by chance and lingered for too many seconds. When they always sat next to each other during class movie nights. When he automatically checked the tea supply so Yaoyorozu never runs out. When he saw another third-year asking her out again. When he pinned her down during practice and her exhausted gaze was so inviting, he would have closed their gap if it weren’t for Aizawa-sensei declaring their match over.
This was the not an ideal time, but Todoroki wanted to get this over with. That stupid interview may have brought in unwanted variables, but his only focus was that Yaoyorozu was alright.
——
He called her “pretty,” Yaoyorozu muses in bed.
She knew it was an accident. Todoroki was never good at interviews, especially now that he’s one of the top young heroes alongside Bakugo and Midoriya. There is so much attention on him, he was bound to mess up like this. She just never thought it would involve her at some point.
“Why did he say my name first?” Yaoyorozu mutters into her pillow. “Could he...”
No, don’t go down that spiral. This wasn’t abnormal. He just thought she was pretty, nothing else. And based on the number of times she’s been asked of, several guys did too. Todoroki was merely catching up to a normal guy’s thought process.
You’re overreacting.
They do spend a lot of time together. And they text a lot, mainly for study and training sessions. Normal friend stuff, right? Just a boy and girl hanging out, alone with each other multiple times a week with minimal physical contact. There was nothing more, even if she wanted otherwise.
Todoroki is just getting used to having friends. It’s not a big deal that you’re the only girl he actively hangs out with. There’s no reason to think he sees you that way. Just keep your crush in check until he’s ready.
“Yaoyorozu, can we talk?”
“T-T-Todoroki-san?!”
Yaoyorozu gasps at the knocking on her window. She doesn’t dare to glance back. She knows Todoroki is right there, on the roof, knocking on her window. Like they’re in some romantic teen comedy-
Blushing harder, she rolls over, pulling the blankets over nose.
“I-I’m not feeling well.”
“Do you need medicine? You look really red. I can take you to Recovery Girl.”
She buries herself more, bothered by his offer. He’s escorted other girls to the nurse before.
“Or tea? I’ll make the honey ginger one.”
She drinks that a lot during study sessions, everybody knows that.
“What can I do to make you feel better?”
The last question makes her heart clench. He’s never been forward about her well-being, not sound so defeated at not having the answer. As if this was his sole responsibility instead of her own immaturity.
“I-I’m fine. Just tired from training.”
She hears a tired sigh on the other side of the window.
“I’m sorry for embarrassing you on TV. I’ll talk to everybody to stop teasing you.”
She hears Todoroki take the first step away. Her eyes widen as her body moves on its own, leaping out of bed to prop the window open. Todoroki halts at her sudden action, eyes just as wide in disbelief.
“Ano, Todoroki-san,” Yaoyorozu calls, gulping nervously. Todoroki turns around to walk back to her window. She didn’t know how to start this, her face warming up at the only thing she wanted to know.
“Do you think I’m attractive?”
“Yes.” The answer was immediate, even for Todoroki. Her blush was resuming all over again, probably crimson at this point.
“And do you find other girls...to be pretty?”
There was a longer, unsettling pause. “...Yes.”
Her chest aches. No surprise there. “O-Okay.”
“I like being around you more,” he adds quickly.
She watches him kneel down, bringing both to eye level with each other. He looked aloof as always, yet his whole body was tense. Was she making him uncomfortable?
She should have backed away to give him more space. Instead, Yaoyorozu finds herself leaning towards him over her desk. She’s rarely this close to him, where the smallest tilt would finally know how Todorok’s lips would feel against hers...
“I think about you a lot, so maybe that’s why I said your name in that interview,” Todoroki looks down, as if ashamed of revealing this information.
“And...how do you think of me then?”
She bites her lips, anxious to hear his next words. She’s still convinced that it’s nothing, but his gaze turns away from hers, only to something lower on her face.
“I don’t know the right words, but if you allow me...”
He makes the first move, pressing his forehead to hers. Yaoyorozu’s heartrate speeds out of control. His lips are just too close, just grazing her own nose. And his eyes say that he wants to do the same thing as she does.
“I’m better at showing than talking.”
——-
“Hey Yaomomo, we wanted to come by and apolo - AHHHHHH TODOROKI IS MAKING OUT WITH HER!”
“SO THE INTERVIEW WAS TRUE!!!”
“HOW DARE YOU LIE TO ME, YOUR CLASS PRESIDENT!”
“Ah...Revelry in the dark.”

Title: Step in Time For Momo’s Birthday! Pairing:  Todomomo Rating: T Word Count: 5,921 Read on Ao3 Summary:
All day at Disneyland Shouto is trying to find the perfect time to ask Momo a very important question. Between her planned schedule, their friends, and all the rides they want to do, he just can't seem to find the right moment.
Full fic under the cut! Thanks to @amaisenshi for helping me with this one!
"I have a perfectly laid out plan," Momo said, unfolding the map while the two of them sat on the tram.
Shouto honestly wasn't surprised. Momo had been talking about Disneyland non-stop since they had all booked the tickets. She had researched peak hours for lines in the park, looked up which were the best rides to get fast passes for, and she had listed out which restaurants seemed to be the best choices for dining. (Thankfully, Shouto had been able to convince her to allow him to choose the restaurant for them.) Momo had also hosted various Disney movie marathons both for the two of them and all their friends, in order to get excited for the trip.
"Have you never been to Disneyland?" Kirishima had asked at one of the viewings she had set up at their apartment.
"Mmm, I have," Momo explained. "But I went when I was a little girl and I don't remember much about it," she said softly.
Needless to say, Momo had been more than excited and Shouto wanted to be certain she had the time of her life, even if that meant following her strict schedule for the entire day. As long as Shouto was given time for one thing...
On the tram, no one was sitting in front of them and Momo was able to spread out the map. Her dark eyes twinkled with excitement and though she was pointing to the map, Shouto found it hard to follow; he couldn't stop looking at her eyes. She truly had planned everything out, even down to her outfit. Her red dress with white polka-dots matched Minnie Mouse and the ears she wore. They were black with a cute red bow, placed on her head perfectly, her bangs still spilling in front of her face.
He was going to marry this girl.
If she said yes...
"So, what do you think? Are those the rides you want to do too?" she asked, turning to look at him. Her smile was wide, her eyes twinkling eagerly.
"Uh," he sighed, realizing he really should've paid attention to the map. He reached up and adjusted the black Mickey ears she had bought for him to match her. "Yes."
"Great!" she said, clapping her hands together. "I thought you would enjoy the Matterhorn, given your quirk," she teased playfully. "And you know, Pirates of the Caribbean is one of the rides Walt Disney oversaw the production of!"
"Sound interesting," he said, waiting for the tram to come to a stop before opening the door. He held it for her, letting Momo step out too, taking her hand as she did.
"Let's meet up with Midoriya-kun and Meli-chan!" Momo smiled, lacing her fingers with Shouto's. "They mentioned wanting to go on Pirates and Haunted Mansion too. Meli-chan said they're two of her favorites!"
The excitement was radiating off of Momo, even when she walked there seemed to be a slight skip to her step. Shouto squeezed her hand, working to keep up with her.
Walking towards the entrance, she looked so happy, humming along to the music as they stood in the small line to get into the park.
Stepping inside, she gasped and cupped her cheek, glancing around at the scenery right at the front entrance. On the grass hill leading up to the train stations, Mickey's face had been sculpted into the shrubbery and Momo immediately pointed. "Let's get a picture!"
"Alright," Shouto said. Disneyland was never a place he had thought about going. As a child, he had always appreciated the movies, but they never took family trips, so he had never been to any of the parks, not even the one in Japan.
Even with this trip, Midoriya had been the one to suggest it. He was moving to the states to study and work with Melissa Shield for a little while and had invited the majority of his friends to come with him for a fun trip to Disneyland. The girls had all been more than excited, Shouto too, though admittedly, he had ulterior motives.
He and Momo started dating their second year at U.A and moved in together immediately after graduating. Shouto hadn't wanted to live at home and the idea of being around Momo as much as possible appealed to him.
But now, a few years had passed and he wanted nothing more than to propose. He knew he was going to be the first of his siblings to potentially be married and he was definitely the first in their class to make that leap... but he knew he wanted Momo, no one else, so he didn't see the point in waiting.
And what better place to ask her than Disneyland, where she was beaming with happiness.
Of course, it would only work if he actually found time to do so in her jam packed schedule.
"Say Mickey!" The woman smiled, snapping the picture in front of the entrance.
"Thank you!" Momo said in English, bowing her head as she took the card to find their picture later. "Ahh, I'm so excited Shouto!" she said, holding up the small card.
Leaning down, he brushed his lips against hers, kissing her softly. "Me too."
"S-Shouto!" she gasped, cupping her cheek.
"Couldn't help it," he shrugged. "You looked cute."
"...W-Well... we should... go meet Midoriya-kun and Meli-chan. I-I don't want to keep them waiting!" she said, and Shouto nodded, smirking at how flustered the small kiss had made her.
Making their way down Main Street, however, was a completely different task alone. Momo wanted to stop and look at everything. She watched each of the moving displays as they changed scenes, commenting on how magical it all looked.
She also wanted to look in the entire store, but Shouto had dragged her away, promising her they could shop later on before leaving the park. Uraraka, Bakugou, Kirishima and Ashido were all coming soon and Shouto could assume the girls would want to shop a little.
"To Pirates!" Momo smiled, but suddenly stopped and turned to face him. "Shouto..." she whispered. "Are you sure you're okay with the schedule I have planned?" She gently took his hands in hers.
Of course, he hadn't really listened to the schedule fully because she had been so distracting, but he couldn't imagine there would be anything he didn't want to do, especially if Momo was excited for it.
"Yeah," he said softly, glancing at their hands. "Why wouldn't I be?"
"I-I don't know..." she stammered. "I-I just got so excited and I want to be sure you have a good time. I know you've never been here and... well... I want to make some amazing memories with you here today."
He felt his heart clench. He could've gotten down on one knee right then and just asked her, she looked so perfect. She always cared so much about his feelings and happiness.
"We already took a picture," he said, a small smile pulling across his lips. "So the memories have already begun."
"True!" she giggled. "I'm just... glad you're happy."
There were so many sappy things he could've said in response to that, but he didn't want to make a complete fool of himself so he nodded, squeezing her hand. "Let's go meet them."
"Right!" she said, continuing up Main Street as they continued towards Adventureland.
It was perfect. They could ride Pirates and Haunted Mansion with Midoriya and Melissa, then he would take Momo to a private lunch where he could propose. It would be romantic and she would love it. Or so he hoped.
The two made their way across the park and Shouto was certain he had never seen so many people in one place. Everyone looked happy to be there too. Well, mostly. There was one crying baby that looked miserable...
Momo kept their hands together swinging them back and forth as they passed by a giant treehouse, making their way under the bridge to the line for Pirates. Melissa and Midoriya stood by the entrance to the line, the two laughing as they chatted together.
"Midoriya-san! Meli-chan!" Momo waved, tugging Shouto closer to them.
"Todoroki-kun! Yaomomo!" Midoriya waved back, his face lit up when he saw his two friends. "Glad you made it! Where are the others?"
"Well," Momo sighed, rubbing the back of her neck. "Ochako-chan and Mina-chan were taking a really long time to get ready so... I decided Shouto and I should come earlier. But, I have a plan for the day."
"Oh?" Melissa asked and tilted her head as Momo took out the map.
"Mhm! We'll do this ride and Haunted Mansion! Then Shouto and I have lunch together, and then we can meet everyone for a picture in front of the castle. I also thought we might be able to get everyone to do Splash Mountain together! Then I want to take Shouto on the Matterhorn and maybe do It's A Small World," she said, pointing out all the spots on the map.
"Wow!" Melissa said, adjusting her glasses. "You really do have it all planned out."
"Mhm!" Momo giggled, walking into the line. She continued to talk with Melissa, showing her other spots on the map.
"Wow Todoroki-kun," Midoriya chuckled. "You might be tired tonight."
"Ah... yeah," he said, watching Momo talk excitedly about some of the things she had glanced at in the stores.
"Are you okay?" Midoriya asked.
"Mmm..." Shouto sighed, making sure to stay far enough away from the two girls. "I'm going to do it at lunch."
"W-What!?" Midoriya yelled and immediately covered his own mouth. "You are? You brought it?"
"I have the ring in my bag..." he said, twisting his lips. "It's a bad idea?"
"No!" Midoriya said, waving his hands about. "Yaomomo seems really happy to be here, especially with you so... I'm sure she'll be happy."
"I hope so..." he muttered.
"I-I'm hoping I can ask Melissa out on a date, but I... It's so scary. I-I mean I can't believe you're asking Yaomomo to marry you," he hissed.
"You should. Ask her out. I think she'll want to," Shouto nodded, urging his friend. Even he had noticed how Melissa acted around Midoriya.
The line for Pirates moved decently fast, mostly because the boats sat so many, and once they were on the ride, Shouto took a seat next to Momo.
"Our first ride! It's so exciting!" she cheered, clapping her hands together. The boat slid away from the station and she glanced to the side, gesturing to the restaurant. "That's the Blue Bayou restaurant," she sighed. "It would be so amazing to eat there."
"Hm..." Shouto muttered. "Well, I guess you'll be amazed."
Momo gasped, turning her head to face him. "That's where you got us lunch reservations!?" she asked. Her dark eyes glistened with the twinkling of the fake fireflies.
"Mhm," he nodded.
"I can't believe it," she said, watching as the restaurant slowly faded from view.
"Get ready you guys!" Melissa said, glancing behind them.
"Ready-?" Shouto began to ask as the boat tipped over the edge, falling down the small hill.
Momo let out a soft squeal and Shouto gripped the back of the seat in front of him. He hadn't expected this ride to have a drop. It wasn't that he couldn't handle it, but an unexpected drop threw him off guard.
The boat continued its journey, traveling through the caverns filled with creepy skeletons and darkly lit caves.
"You know," Momo said softly, leaning over towards Shouto. "The skull above the captain is apparently real."
"N-No way!" Midoriya said, glancing at the creepy skeleton head which hung above the bed on the wall.
"Mhm," Momo giggled. "It's kind of creepy. That rumor is supposedly true," she explained. "There's another rumor however, that Walt Disney himself is frozen and buried underneath this ride."
"Oh, that one isn't true," Melissa laughed softly.
Midoriya however, looked extremely pale. "A-Are you sure?!"
"Positive," Momo laughed, "you have nothing to worry about."
Despite the laughter between their group, Shouto had a sinking feeling in the bottom of his stomach. The ride was dark, but in some places the music was cheerful, and filled with jovial, drunken pirates, but it wasn't enough to distract him from the thoughts swirling in his mind. Lunch was creeping up on them, and he felt unprepared.
The ride came to a halt at the bottom of a large ramp, pulling them back up from the depths.
"You know a lot about Disneyland, Momo," Melissa commented.
"I did my research," she nodded, and they made their way up the road past New Orleans Square to the line for the Haunted Mansion.
"I hope this ride isn't too scary," Midoriya said quietly, leaning towards Shouto.
"Is it supposed to be?"
Melissa hooked her arm around Midoriya's. "I promise it's not that bad," she said, tugging him forward.
"No, it's meant to be fun!" Momo laughed, squeezing Shouto's hand. He loved the feeling of her hand in his. He wanted to keep it there forever.
The line for Haunted Mansion also moved quickly, the track once again in continuous motion. It was actually impressive, Shouto thought, how proficient they were at keeping the crowd flow moving.
When they got to the front of the line, they climbed into their cart together, the spooky narrator making sure to tell them he would lower the bar for them. Momo blinked, watching the bar bounce into place. "Incredible!"
"Did you research this ride too?"
"Of course!" she said quietly. "There are some interesting facts about this ride actually. A lot of tricks are done with mirrors," she explained as the ride pulled off.
"The endless hallway is a collection of mirrors," she explained. They continued along the way, Momo glancing around and taking in the spooky sights. Shouto knew he should be looking around too, but currently, he couldn't stop looking at her.
The cart pulled them into the hallway above the banquet room and she gasped. "This room," she said, gesturing excitedly. "They use projections to make it look like the ghosts are dancing. There's actually a giant sheet of glass and they have the animatronics dancing beneath us and they're projected onto that side of the room!" she explained. "Isn't that amazing!? Oh! And that spider web! It's actually from a toy gun! A child shot at it after sneaking the toy onto the ride and the bullet got lodged in the glass. Instead of bringing in a new one, they covered it up and made it look like a spider web."
"Wow," he said, genuinely listening to all her exciting facts.
"I-I'm sorry Shouto," she said. "I-I just got so excited researching things about this ride."
"You don't have to apologize," he said, leaning over to kiss her cheek. "I like it when you're excited."
Even in the darkness he could see her cheeks flush. Perfect. Just the shade of red he loved.
As the ride continued on, she spat out other facts about the graveyard and the various ghosts scattered throughout. Riding with Momo had certainly been informative.
"Haunted Mansion is one of my favorites," Melissa said, stepping back out onto the pathway. "I especially like it at Christmas when they design it to look like the Nightmare Before Christmas!"
"We'll have to come back sometime for Christmas!" Momo said, clapping her hands together, and Shouto felt his heart tighten again. She would look so cute, watching the fake snow dancing around her, her pale face lit up by the magic of Disneyland.
"For now, we should get to lunch," Shouto said, glancing down at his watch.
"Great! We'll meet you guys by the castle for pictures!" Melissa said. "Deku and I are going to grab something to eat too!"
"See you," Midoriya said, looking wide-eyed and eager at Shouto. Thank god his green-haired best friend hadn't given anything away.
"Shall we?" Momo asked, and Shouto nodded, beginning the short walk back to the entrance of the restaurant.
"Mhm. I'm... glad you're having a good day," he said, squeezing her hand.
"It's been incredible! I can't believe you got us reservations for Blue Bayou! It's so expensive, Shouto, are you sure?"
"Positive," he replied quickly. In fact he had never been so sure of himself in his life.
Or so he thought.
Until they sat down and began talking. Momo was absolutely thrilled by the glowing ice cube they placed in their drinks, her face lighting up with the various colors as she stared. The more she talked, the less Shouto wanted to, the weight of the ring heavy in the backpack on his chair.
The restaurant was dark, and while it did have a nice, unique atmosphere... it didn't exactly scream romantic.
The food was delicious however, and Shouto hadn't realized how hungry he was, as they spent the day running around the park.
"I'm so happy we're here together, Shouto," Momo said, squeezing hand across the table when they finished. "I was nervous this sort of thing might make you bored, but..." she trailed off, her cheeks red as she turned away from him. "It's actually cute... watching you have so much fun. I'm glad I get to see it."
"I..." he froze. No one had ever told him they liked watching him have fun. Then again, it would not have been as exciting had Momo wasn’t there. "It's thanks to you," he said finally. "All your research and all your facts... they're amazing, I'm so impressed. It doesn't take away the magic for you?"
"Not at all!" she said. "It just... shows me how much love went into creating this park. They wanted to make a place where people could have fun and create memories and... I don't know... I guess I just like understanding what they were creating."
It made sense, honestly, and it was such a her answer. He didn't need anymore information to know the time was definitely right.
"Alright!" she said, jumping up from the table when her phone alarm rang. "We should go meet the others for pictures! There's so much more I want to do today!"
"Ah... wait..." How was he supposed to propose if she was just going to run off so quickly?
"We don't have time to wait Shouto," she said, a smile still on her face. "We have to stick to the schedule and we don't want to keep everyone waiting.
He glanced down at his bag before picking it up. No. The time was definitely not right.
Well, at the very least, they were about to meet up with their friends in front of the castle. Taking a picture with her and then getting down on one knee sounded romantic.
They made their way out of the restaurant, Momo gently clicking the color changing ice cube on and off. She giggled, holding it up. "I'm so excited we get to keep these."
"They are cool..." Shouto muttered. He didn't want to dampen her mood, but the more he put this off, the more stressed he grew.
He swallowed, following her as they made their way across the parking, exiting from Frontierland to head to the castle. "I hope no one is late," she mused quietly as they made their way over to the large castle. "It would really throw off the schedule."
Yes, heaven forbid they mess that up.
No. Shouto shook his head. He had to stop being negative. Momo was having fun and she had created the schedule to give them the best time possible. It wasn't because she was trying to be difficult. She didn't know what Shouto was trying to do.
Melissa and Midoriya were standing in front of the castle with Kirishima and Ashido. Shouto was admittedly a little surprised the two of them had even found the meeting location.
"Yaomomo!" Ashido cheered loudly, rushing towards her, pulling her into a hug. "So!" she said, and grabbed her hands, looking at them expectantly. "What did you say?! How was lunch?!"
Shouto felt his heart drop, and Midoriya looked his way, nervously shrugging. Obviously the green-haired boy had spilled to Ashido... who was far more dangerous than any of them.
"Say what?" Momo asked tilting her head. "Lunch was amazing! Shouto got us a reservation at the Blue Bayou!"
"What's that?" Ashido asked, thankfully distracted from her original question. Or maybe she realized there was no ring on Momo's finger.
"It's a restaurant inside by the Pirates ride."
"Oh my gosh what?! That's so cool!?" Ashido cheered and then immediately glared at Kirishima. "Why didn't we do something like that?!"
"I-I dunno!" Kirishima said, waving his hands quickly. "I-I didn't know you wanted to."
"We're at Disneyland, Eiji! I want to be treated like a princess!"
"O-Oh... sorry..." Kirishima said, looking disheartened. Shouto wanted to offer advice, but admittedly, he had no idea what to say. He didn't do well with loud boisterous people like Ashido. He was just happy the subject had been changed.
Momo had left to speak to a photographer, and she glanced around clearly looking for the missing couple.
"Ochako-chan!" she waved.
"Momo-chan!" Uraraka called out, moving to stand with her as she dragged Bakugou over. The blond didn't look like he was having a very good time, but then again, it was to be expected from him.
"I got us a few photos from the photographers so we can do a little photo shoot. All the couples can have private photos too, if they want! My treat!" Momo smiled, looking extremely excited.
"Are you guys having a good day? What have you done so far?" Melissa asked.
"We just did Space Mountain," Kirishima said.
"Mhm... I got a little dizzy," Uraraka admitted, rubbing the back of her neck awkwardly.
"Are you okay, Ochako-chan!?" Midoriya asked, concern flickering across his green eyes.
"We sat down, she's fine," Bakugou hissed.
"O-Oh that's good! Thank you Kacchan," Midoriya smiled. Sometimes, Shouto wished Midoriya would be more aggressive when Bakugou was frustrated.
"What have you guys done?" Uraraka asked, oblivious to Bakugou's frustrations.
"So far, we've done Pirates of the Caribbean and Haunted Mansion," Momo said. "But I still would like to try the Matterhorn, plus we'll all be doing Splash Mountain after this if we want to stick to our schedule."
"Right," Midoriya nodded, looking determined to keep things as close to said schedule as possible.
Shouto and Momo were the first to take pictures, and Shouto clutched his backpack to his chest.
"You can leave that here," the woman said, gesturing to the side. Did he want to? He glanced back at Midoriya, who nodded eagerly, as if he had read Shouto's mind.
But they were in front of all their friends. As beautiful as the castle looked and as beautiful as Momo looked standing in front of it... he didn't want her to feel pressured to say yes because all their friends were looking.
Maybe the time wasn't right after all.
"Say Mickey!" the woman said.
They took their couple photos, letting the others go as well, and finally they finished off with some group photos. The photographer set them up, posing them in various ways, making them try out silly faces too.
"I bet Kacchan didn't even smile, even though we're in the happiest place on earth!" Midoriya teased, nudging him.
"Oi!" Bakugou snapped, swatting Deku away from him. "You should be fucking thankful I'm even fucking here!"
The two began to argue as Momo's phone alarm went off. "Splash Mountain time!" She immediately took Shouto's hand, dragging him back towards Adventureland.
"Ah, yes, let's head out." Shouto murmured, following Momo's determined gait.
Once in line, the girls started chatting to each other, and once again Midoriya and Shouto hung back, speaking quietly while the girls laughed and Kirishima loudly teased an angry Bakugou.
"So you didn't ask her?" Midoriya whispered, leaning in towards Shouto.
"No... she wanted to leave to meet up for pictures immediately after we finished eating..." he sighed. "I thought about doing it in front of the castle but... everyone was watching..."
"Ah yeah... that's... terrifying."
"I take it you haven't asked Melissa either?"
"Nope," Midoriya said. "Haven't found the right moment..."
Shouto twisted his lips, knowing that feeling so well.
They split off their group into two logs, one with Bakugou, Uraraka, Kirishima and Ashido, the other with him, Momo, Midoriya and Melissa. Midoriya had bravely decided to sit in the front and Shouto sat behind Momo, gently keeping his hand on her shoulder.
The ride was definitely the more daring of the rides they had ridden thus far, the twists and turns and ups and downs making Shouto's stomach hurt, especially because the lunch they had eaten was so large.
Then they began the long climb to the top, the music changing to an ominous tone. Of course, most of the animatronics had been extremely creepy throughout the entire ride, but still. Once at the top, Shouto heard Midoriya scream the loudest he ever had as the log shot down the steep drop. Shouto, admittedly, ducked his head, convinced they were about to hit the thorns.
When the log hit the bottom, the water splashed over the edge, soaking his leg. Worst case he supposed he could heat himself up to dry off.
Momo let out a yelp, shaking her arm out. "I-I didn't expect to get so wet!"
"It's called Splash Mountain for a reason!" Melissa teased.
The group climbed out of the boat, meeting up with the others, everyone lamenting about how wet they were. Though even with the sun beginning to set, it was oddly refreshing.
"Shouto and I are going to go wait for the Matterhorn!" Momo smiled, looping her arm around her. "We'll see you guys later on Main Street for the fireworks!"
She waved goodbye to the girls and led Shouto across the park. He was happy he had let her read the map, because he had no idea where she was taking them the majority of the time, especially as she dragged him across the square past the castle.
"The Matterhorn has two tracks," Momo explained. "Which should we ride?"
"You choose," Shouto chuckled. "I'm fine with either."
Her lips curled into a pout, her eyes filled with concern. "A-Are you not having fun Shouto?" she asked.
"N-No! I am," he stammered. It was true, he was having fun, he was just... stressed that he was running out of time.
"Are you sure?" she asked.
Leaning down, he pressed their lips together once again. "I promise. It’s been a great day."
"Okay, so you still want to ride this?" she asked, gesturing to the line which wrapped around the side of the mountain. On the other side of them, Alice in Wonderland music played, echoing from the storybook ride.
"I do," he said, taking her hand as he pulled her into the line.
This certainly was not the place to do any sort of proposal. The line moved slowly, and Momo discussed some of her favorite Disney scenes, urging Shouto to the same. There was something so pure and innocent about the way she spoke of her love of Disney movies, like there was a spark of hope and magic Shouto didn't quite understand. But he knew his childhood hadn't been as normal as most.
"I'm so glad you're willing to listen to me, Shouto," Momo whispered. "S-Sometimes I think I ramble too much, but I'm glad it doesn't seem to bother you."
"It doesn't bother me at all," he said, shaking his head. "I like hearing about your passions." He wished he could've said more... everything he had been saying all day felt lame the more he replayed it in his head.
When they got to the front of the line, they finally slid into the bobsleds. The track was rickety, and creaked as the cars went along. They jostled onto ride, Shouto's hips slamming against the side. However, he did enjoy the icy coldness of the mountain, and the snow aesthetic. It was comforting, and for a moment he felt strong.
He was going to do this... even if he had to during the fireworks.
They stepped out of the bobsleds, exiting towards the walkway and Momo wobbled for a moment. "Woah..." she sighed. "That... made me feel a little woozy. A-And the yeti was surprisingly more scary than I expected!"
"Do you need to sit?" Shouto asked, gently grabbing her shoulders.
Immediately, she looked at her watch. "No... the fireworks are soon, we should get a spot... although..." She glanced up ahead, looking at the strange white building just down the way from them. It had a strange face on the front, rotating back and forth. "Do you... think we have time for It's A Small World?"
Shouto twisted his lips, wanting to break Momo of this tight schedule she had put them on.
"That... was one of the ones you really wanted to go on right?"
"Well yes but I-"
"C'mon," Shouto said, grabbing her hand as he led the way this time, tugging her towards the ride.
"But Shouto-"
"It's a short wait," he said, gesturing to the sign. "Let's just go. We won't miss the fireworks."
"Okay," she said, a smile pulling across her lips as they dashed into the line.
It only took about ten minutes for them to get onto the boats, the instrumental of the song playing on loop through the speakers as they waited to board.
"This ride does have some of the most iconic designs and animatronics," Momo pointed out softly, scooting into the seat next to Shouto.
They had gotten front seats and as the ride pulled away from the station, Shouto hugged his bag to his chest. Maybe right after the fireworks would be best... but... then there would probably be a huge crowd of people...
Maybe right before exiting the park.
His thoughts began to loop like the song playing on the ride. He tried to pay attention, especially when Momo pointed out the various hidden characters on the ride. She gestured to Aladdin and Jasmine flying on the carpet above them, Cinderella with her mice as well, Mulan was flying a Mushu kite... but all Shouto could think was one word over and over:
When.
When, when, when could he actually ask her?! Maybe asking at Disneyland was a horrible idea. This whole day he had followed her around, wanting to keep her as happy as possible and he couldn't do this one thing?!
Suddenly, their boat came to a halt inside the large white room, the song still looping and the small animatronic dolls still dancing.
"Please stay seated. Your world tour will continue shortly..."
They were stuck.
"Oh no!" Momo said, glancing around the room. "Are we stuck? Hopefully not for long." She pulled out her phone, staring at it. "We might actually miss the fireworks."
Shouto sighed and reached forward gently tugging her phone from her. "Momo," he began. "It's okay..." He needed to stop coming up with excuses. He had been waiting for her to slow down for a moment when really he should've stopped her. She was so worried about following the schedule, she had her mind so clearly focused on the next thing.
"But-!"
"We're stuck," Shouto said. "You can enjoy the ride you're on."
"But I wanted to make sure you got to see all the classics!" she exclaimed. "I-I mean we didn't even get to do Thunder or Space Mountain... or... or..."
"Me...?" he asked. Of course she was doing this for him and not because she herself was excited. What had he done to deserve such a perfect girl caring for him so much?
"Of course! I-I mean I know your family never did anything like this so... so I wanted to... make sure you had the best time possible."
He swallowed, feeling selfish suddenly for not appreciating her schedule more.
"Momo," he sighed. "I don't care what we do. Honestly it was... mostly fun for me to watch you get excited about it."
"Really?" she whispered, her cheeks flushing.
"Yeah... actually there's only one thing I've wanted to do all day."
"What? Have we not done it yet? We can! We don't need to see the fireworks."
He glanced around the room, noting how white it was... and for a moment all he could think about was Momo in a beautiful white dress, walking down the aisle...
Since they were stuck, they certainly weren't going anywhere. He supposed now was as good a time as any, despite the people sitting behind them. They were in their own little worlds, having their own conversations anyway. Letting out a sigh, he pulled his backpack onto his lap.
"We can do it right here."
"Huh?"
Reaching into the backpack, he pulled out the small box, placing the bag down.
Momo's eyes immediately widened, darting her eyes between Shouto and the tiny box. "S-Shouto! What?!"
"Momo..." he muttered. "I-I can't get down on one knee and no time has felt right all day... but then I realized it didn't matter if the time was right or not because we finally stopped and all that really matters is that... I'm uhm... I'm... you know... with... you," he said, slowly opening the box.
The ring was a moderately sized circular diamond, surrounded by sparkling red rubies. "Will you... marry me?"
"S-Shouto!" she gasped, lunging forward to wrap her arms around him. He clutched the box hard, trying not to drop it as she hugged him, causing the boat to rock. The people behind them began to murmur, until one of them realized what was happening and began to clap.
"O-Of course I'll marry you," she whispered, kissing him on the lips, holding herself so close to them.
"You will?"
"Yes!" she said, laughing immediately, tears pooling in the corner of her eyes. "I-I wasn't expecting this at all."
"You... seemed so happy here, I wanted to make it unforgettable." He pulled the ring from the box and slid it on her finger, loving the way her face lit up.
Suddenly the ride lurched forward, drifting them towards the exit. Momo clutched her hand to her chest. "I-I'm honestly shaking," she whispered. "I-I can't believe this..."
"Y-Yeah..." he said, stepping out of the boat when it came to a stop. He held out his hand to her, helping her out of the boat. A few of the people on the ride congratulated them as they walked by, smiling and gently touching their shoulders.
As they exited the ride area, Momo tried her best to hold back tears that threatened to fall. "Shouto it... really is so lovely." She stood on her toes, standing up to kiss him and he wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her close. "I love you so much." He knew they were standing right in front of It's A Small World, but he honestly didn't care. He was going to spend the rest of his life with the most perfect woman and he couldn't be happier.
"I love you too."
Suddenly her phone alarm went off, alerting them of the fireworks, which were about to begin.
"Looks like we can still make the fireworks," he whispered against her lips, pecking her.
"How about we walk over, slowly?" she said. "We have more time than we think," she giggled.
Quite frankly, they had plenty of time; forever.

Red gown
Fandom: BNHA (Boku No Hero Academy)
Warnings: gore, angst
• • •「◆」• • •
I felt like floating. For moments straight, there was no gravity pulling me down. I was just there, floating at a black empty void. I was dreaming again. And, as I slowly looked to my scarred, soft hands, shining in the dark, I knew it would be something interesting.
Suddenly, it changed. I was standing, feeling the weight at my feet again, at what a really formal place. A salon, clearly an fancy event. Fancy walls, a fancy chandelier, fancy tables. As I looked around, barely moving anything but my eyes, it was strange to see how cold the room felt, and looked. I saw my reflex, my green hair, green eyes and messy freckles on a broken mirror. It had such an disturbing atmosphere, almost like someone to had died there. Then I moved a bit and noticed... there were puddles of blood in the ground, and bodies laying around. They were far away to see properly. Too far to recognize. I was feeling my body heavy like a truck, but I slowly got closer. Curiosity was killing me.
I quickly regretted this choice, tough.
I got closer to the body I saw first. Now, I could see a beautiful bride gown, once white and peaceful, now stained with cold red blood. One hand was carelessly touching her stomach, where the biggest stain was. The other hand leaned towards another direction, a gold ring shining on their finger, like they wanted to reach something. Someone. The veil covered their face, but I could see the thick black hair around her face, curls falling over. A shiver ran towards me. A cold wind blew through a broken window, blowing the veil away, revealing Momo's pale face, makeup ruined, a painfully dull expression. She looked older than in real life tough... maybe twenty five years old or something. She was getting married. But with who?
Then my sight followed her leaning hand, and I saw that half and half hair I knew so well; Shouto was thrown on the cold floor, laying in his own blood, wearing a shredded suit, a hand also leaning towards his fiancé, with the same gold ring, the same dead hope. A bad feeling paralyzed me. Momo and Shouto married... that meant they probably invited their friends to the wedding too. They would've invited us. My body involuntarily turned to see the other bodies. It was quick to recognize them this time. I saw Kacchan, obviously kicked and stabbed to death, looking frail as he never could've ever been. Kirishima, beaten up and murdered, skin cruelly broken in pieces like old porcelain. Iida, dyed in red, his engines brutally taken away from him. Uraraka, her brown hair cut and her belly red. Tsuyu, just a little thing thrown away on the hard floor. Ashido, burned and stabbed. Kaminari, laying onto a pillar, holding his own arm, a wound uncontrollably bleeding. There was also a small shine at his finger, silver this time. Jirou, I could notice, had her plugs cut away. There was the same silver shine on her finger too. She wasn't even moving. Aoyama, few meters away of her, his belt broken, stomach stabbed. All of my classmates, one by one, thrown on the floor, dead. And then I unconsciously moved around a bit more, against my own will, just to see my older self, in a ripped suit, hurt, face to face with an laughing Shigaraki. "Finally, I'm going to get rid of you". He said, touching the older Izuku's face while he couldn't move. I wasn't seeing my older self's face, but I could feel my hope draining as I saw myself turning to ashes. I felt like turning into ashes too... everything was blurry, shaking uncontrollably, a white noise blowing in my ears, a panic growing so toxic I couldn't breathe, a despair blooming in my heart, an urgency to move, despite not being able to.
I woke up at the warm carpet in my room.

Those Smiles
His whole life, Todoroki Shouto only cared about becoming the Number One Hero. But suddenly, he found himself buying overpriced tea and threatening the senpais in pursuit of another goal. (Todomomo one-shot)
--------
There were few things that Todoroki Shouto needed for a good life. Becoming the top hero for the people, unsoggy soba, and his father not being a jerk. As long as he had those three, he would be satisfied.
But then he made friends who inspired him to pursue a greater purpose. And some friends encourage him better than others. Particularly Yaoyorozu Momo in more ways he could have predicted.
She had complimented on his exciting internship with Bakugo and Midoriya, especially when the three were declared to be the future Top Three by the media. Todoroki had brushed it aside, but Yaoyorozu refused to let him be humble.
“You should be proud! Not everybody can do that! I mean, I’m still with Uwabami, so...not much happens beyond her fan meetups. And you know, my Quirk isn’t that useful on the battlefield since I have to rely on a lot of eating beforehand-”
She spiraled into her ramblings, her voice weakening upon entering her own limitations and plateau and more things that cause her smile to fade. This part of Yaoyorozu, he discovered, was another bothersome thing to grey his life. Like any hero in training, he controled the situation immediately.
“You're strong, Yaoyorozu,” Todoroki interrupted her.  “...You’ll be a good hero.”
For a moment, Todoroki wasn’t sure if he said the right words. But then, her smile gradually returned, and a strange warm sensation spread within Todoroki that wasn’t there before.
“Thank you, Todoroki-san.”
He hoped that smile never goes away. Maybe, Todoroki decided, he can make that happen as her friend.
As they advance to second year, Todoroki wondered if the gods were messing with him. If they fed him this selfish desire for his raven-hair classmate beyond friendship. That he could not be satisfied until then.
Little things changed first. Although Yaoyorozu offered her tea to the entire class, Aoyama was notorious for hogging them. Days before midterms, Aoyama was the victim of everybody’s death glare for using up Yaoyorozu’s supply.
“Mou, now I have to wait ‘til Mother returns to England,” Yaoyorozu sighed, dejected at the empty tea drawer.
“As your president, I promise to lecture Aoyama-kun and restock your tea!” Iida declared.
“It’s okay, Iida-san! I'll be good for midterms,” Yaoyorozu assured him, smiling gently.
That was a lie, and he disliked seeing her force out that polite smile. When they left the kitchen, Todoroki grabbed the empty box, ran back to his room, and opened his laptop. This act of kindness, he discovered later that week, was not normal to do for a friend.
“Eh?! How did you get it so fast?!” Yaoyorozu asked, puzzled when Todoroki presented her with the large box.
“Online.”
“But Todoroki-san, the shipping must have been high, and you bought so much...” Yaoyorozu looked away, and he could see a blush creep on her cheeks.
“It wasn’t expensive,” Todoroki replied. “You need your favorite tea to study well.”
He liked doing this, along with the funny, nice feeling that followed when he saw Yaoyorozu smile. He wasn’t sure how to describe what was happening to him, this need to do it over again. Whatever consequences should come to him, Todoroki would gladly take it.
Including a deadly phone call from his father after the monthly credit card bill came.
“SHOUTO WHY DID YOU WASTE $200 ON WHITE PEOPLE TEA?!”
And sometimes, the little things were not so innocent.
They often sparred against each other on the weekends. Todoroki didn’t always get the upper hand. Yaoyorozu would find ways to catch him off guard, an admirable sign of her own improvement. Until both messed up and eventually, collapse on each other. When Todoroki toppled over her, it was the first time he understood how dangerous their spars could be to his mental composure.
She was too close, but Todoroki couldn’t bring himself to get up. Instead, he stared into her gunmetal eyes, just as wide as his. Her chest was heaving into his, and he was too aware that they were touching everywhere but their own faces. Hell, their foreheads were grazing each other, lips so close he could feel their breaths mingling.
He could, if he wanted to. He was already leaning toward her, and unless Todoroki was imagining, so was Yaoyorozu...
“15 MINUTES UNTIL CURFEW!”
Iida’s scream jolted the two back to their senses again. Particularly Yaoyorozu. Gasping, she immediately pushed Todoroki off.
“G-Goodnight, T-Todoroki!” She muttered before sprinting back to the dorm.
He couldn’t process what just happened, nor did he want to. He would escape this mental complication with a shower. A long, cold shower.
Then there were moments when Todoroki didn’t know what to do. Scary to be specific, one that exceeded his own ability to rescue others.
She killed someone for the first time. A small villain caught Yaoyorozu off guard during a drug raid from her internship. She had panicked and did what was necessary to protect others, Todoroki assumed. Apparently, it was not easy for Yaoyorozu to believe that.
“She didn’t eat today,” Jiroh muttered, holding a barely touched rice bowl.  Every night, each classmate took turns convincing Yaoyorozu to come out. Hell, even Bakugo offered despite his disastrous shouting attempt. Except for bathroom sightings, Yaoyorozu hadn’t left her room since. She wouldn’t even return to her parents nor attend class.
He scaled the roof until he found Yaoyorozu’s window. When he stepped into her room, he found her curled under her blanket, her face buried into her pillow. She didn’t move as Todoroki stopped at her bedside.
“Yaoyorozu, can we talk?”
“I’m tired.”
“Everybody is worried, “He pressed on.
“I just need to sleep. Please leave me alone.”
Withdrawn, cold, lifeless. This was not the Yaoyorozu he knew, not the one who made him feel that the world was just and fair. He was scared that Yaoyorozu revealed her true self right there, one he couldn’t confidently stick with.
But he didn’t leave. Instead, he sat down on her bed, hating himself for taking too long to even think of what to say. Why couldn’t he provide the same calming, warm presence that she did for him? How was he terrible with something as simple as comforting her? Especially when Yaoyorozu needed someone the most?
“You had to protect yourself and the others,” Todoroki felt his own voice trembling. “Any hero would have done the same-”
“Heroes don’t kill, no matter what!” She sat up abruptly. Todoroki knew his attempt failed when he met fury within her glare. Not a single hint of the usual kindness she gave everyday before then. He was ready to run until he saw tears brimming around her eyes.
“I could have stopped him without ending his life. What if he had a family? What if he redeemed himself after? What i-i-if-damnit, I’m so weak and stupid-!”
He pulled her into his chest, wrapping his arms around her slim frame.
Idiot, he thought to himself. This was a bad move. Yaoyorozu was still shaking, and he winced as she started punching his chest.
“L-L-Let me go, Todoroki...p-please...!”
Maybe it was wrong to grab Yaoyorozu in her most vulnerable state; an unwanted, non-consensual hug as she beat the shit out of his upper body. But his own words were not working, and instinct told him to catch her before she broke down. To hold her as her screams fell into soft whimpers, her aggressive fists now gripping his shirt. As she calmed down, Todoroki started to rub her back, hoping it would soothe her even by a bit.
“I’m happy that you’re still here.” With me.
He kept her within his embrace until she fell asleep and stayed with her for the rest of the night. As he watched her sleep peacefully from the chair, Todoroki learned a hard lesson.
Yaoyorozu Momo was not a perfect person. Her plethora of insecurities may never go away. She could be terrible to deal with. If he still wanted to pursue this strange joyous feeling around Yaoyorozu, he would not always get it. There will be times she doesn’t want to smile because the world can be cruel.
She’s worth it, he reminded himself upon waking up to Yaoyorozu’s face. He may have been drowsy and sore, but he saw the smallest glimpse of her smile. The first sign of her recovery. Waking up to her every morning, Todoroki thought, would be nice.
Dealing with Yaoyorozu at her worst should have driven him away. Instead, Todoroki found himself more protective of her own well-being. Particularly around U.A.’s male population. The seniors began noticing Yaoyorozu as more than Class A’s Vice President, according to the girls’ gossip. He couldn’t go one week without hearing about a stupid male asking out Yaoyorozu, often in front of his own eyes.
But one specific guy irked Todoroki. Hiden-senpai was the most stubborn of them all, a big, brawny third year with no sense of personal space when it came to Yaoyorozu.
“Come on, Yaoyorozu, we’re both single and could use a good time in bed,” Hiden-senpai smirked. Todoroki saw the senpai reach for her chin before Yaoyorozu moved back in the hallway.
“I’m sorry, Hiden-senpai, but I can’t go out with you.”
“If you’re trying to be a real hero, then you don’t want me saying bad things about you, right? I am a sidekick for the #7 hero.”
Todoroki didn’t understand dating, but he knew it shouldn’t start like this. Yaoyorozu normally could control the situation, but this was not going well. His fist clenched as the senpai hovered closer to Yaoyorozu, who gasped when her back met the wall.
“Hiden-senpai, forgive me but I need to study,” Yaoyorozu side stepped him until Hiden grabbed her arm.
“Oh, I can help you study. Books, your body, you name it-”
Todoroki stopped thinking. Within seconds, he lunged at the two, grabbed the senpai’s shirt collar and slammed him against the wall.
“What the fuck?!” Hiden-senpai yelled.
“Todoroki-san!” Yaoyorozu gasped.
“Don’t touch her...or else,” Todoroki growled, steam seeping from his hot fingers around Hiden-senpai’s throat. His flames would have burst if Midnight-sensei didn’t knock him out.
He expected their interaction to be tense after Midnight’s rant on unsupervised Quirks and the spirit of youth. Yaoyorozu, however, was more than displeased.
“You can’t disrespect our senior like that,” Yaoyorozu lectured him.
“He threatened to ruin your hero career if you didn’t sleep with him. What’s there to respect?!”
“I was about to push him off, “ she insisted.
“I don’t care.”
“Why does this matter to you?"
There were many things he wanted to say in response. It was a hero’s duty to protect those in need. He didn’t want weirdos bothering a friend. That his temper would flare whenever he saw guys flirting with her. But none of those reasons escaped, and he settled for less.
“You’re my friend, and friends look out for each other.”
He knew she wanted to hear more than that. Her fallen shoulders and disappointed eyes proved so. Even then, she managed a faint smile.
“I see,” she muttered, her lips struggling to maintain that happy facade.
“Thank you, Todoroki-san. You’re a really good friend.”
He never thought those words could sting him.
Although hope remained, the longing to be more for Yaoyorozu became too much for Todoroki to handle. He couldn’t explain these feelings yet. They did not reach the levels of “love” but certainly heading on that path. Consequently, he unleashed these so-called feelings on Yaoyorozu before he could realize it.
It happened on a quiet Sunday morning. There was nothing special about that day. He found her washing dishes with messy hair, no makeup and baggy pajamas. This wasn’t Yaoyorozu at her prettiest, yet he could imagine every morning like this beyond U.A.
“Ah, good morning, Todoroki-san!” She noticed him, greeting cheerfully.
Yaoyorozu proceeded with her normal ramblings; freshly brewed coffee was ready, today was bathroom cleaning day, group study session was at three, and so on. Todoroki didn’t hear the rest because he blurts the question he had been holding out on for the last year.
“Do I make you happy, Yaoyorozu?”
“Eh?” Yaoyorozu blushed, followed by a concerned expression. “Where did this come from? Of course you make me happy. You’re one of my dearest friends.”
“Would you be happier if we were more than friends?”
Another bad thing to say, Todoroki thought, as he watched Yaoyorozu drop the dish sponge. Her entire body shook before slowing turning to face him.
“Todoroki-san, what are you trying to say?” She asked nervously. She was hesitant to believe his words to be true, her eyes wide and frighten. Todoroki couldn’t blame her, so he begins as earnest as he could.
“I like spending time with you. I think about you when we’re not hanging out. I’m stressed when you’re not happy and relieved when you are. I don’t know if I’m the best choice for you, but if you allow me...” Todoroki paused, not realizing he was already walking toward Yaoyorozu, who leaned against the kitchen sink.
The logical part of him screeched how this made zero sense in his hero journey. But as he stared into Yaoyorozu’s eyes - with all her love and kindness and insecurities within - he regained his commitment for this new goal in life.
“I will do my best to make you smile everyday.”
“And how would that be different than just...” Yaoyorozu asked softly, stepping closer to him until their bodies were grazing each other. “...being friends?”
Todoroki thought that maybe she was in denial or worse, did not return those feelings. But her eyes kept darting between his eyes and lips, as he did to hers. She wasn’t asking for it, no. Yaoyorozu was inviting him to communicate those feelings in his preferred way; no words, just doing it.
”Like this,” Todoroki whispered before pressing his lips to hers.
Soft was the first thing that came to mind as he kisses Yaoyorozu. Followed by the warm sensation he always felt whenever he was around her. Except, this time was different. He felt enveloped in an unusual aura of safety and joy that he didn’t know he needed. One that increased as her hands held onto his shoulders.
They broke free sooner than Todoroki wanted, both wide-eyed and shaken from what just happened. He wrapped one arm around Yaoyorozu’s waist and buried his other hand into her hand, steadying her balance as they got lost in each other’s soft gaze.
“W-Was that okay?” Todoroki asked. He worried that this was the wrong move, for Yaoyorozu didn’t say anything for a long minute. But then her lips curve into a big smile, followed by the gentlest chuckle. He was convinced that Yaoyorozu’s laughter - alongside her wonderful smile - could rescue him from his worst nightmares.
“It was perfect,” she replied, leaning toward him. Todoroki pulled her closer, eager to capture her lips once more until-
“NO ITS NOT, YA CHEESY HALFIE SHIT!” Bakugo screeched from the kitchen counter. “DON’T MAKE OUT WHERE I EAT MY OATMEAL!”
Not that he could care less for Bakugo’s breakfast routine. As long as he could make Yaoyorozu Momo smile and laugh, Todoroki Shouto knew he would lead a good life.

Ahh, can’t believe I finished this given how long it was. Thank you everybody who voted on my poll; it really helped me get productive with my fanfiction writing. Please let me know if you have any feedback as I’m always happy to grow my writing.
