List of things TMA missed out on statementwise:

Sorted by fear.

Corruption:

-Bot Flies. They lay eggs on parasitic things like mosquitos and when they land on a host, the eggs with fall of and the larvae will burrow into the host’s flesh and feed on their bodily liquids.

-Bees. Have a statement of a beekeeper who is slowly letting the bees make a hive of them. Why not?

Vast:

-Theme park rides. Ones with drops were it feels like you fall forever, loops were the only thing under you is open sky.

Eye:

-Statement of a person about their roommate and how they seem to be keeping track of their behavior. Little things at first, like how they like their pasta cooked, but then it gets bigger, like knowing their work schedule and sleeping habits. This roommate just always watches. Might also go with the Stranger, depending on how it’s handled.

Stranger:

-We saw dolls and other humanoids, but not robots. Statement of an engineer who is trying to make a working robot, but it actually comes to life without power or creepy crap like that. When the person tries to look at its coding, it’s literally nothing.

Spiral:

Statement of a museum security guard regarding how the paintings seem to move in the corner of their eye, how the hallways seem to go on longer than they should, how the statues’ eyes seem to follow them. Night At The Museum but creepy.

Lonely:

Statement of a person on the search for a new roommate after their old one died. Every time they thing they find someone, something happens to them. Finally, they think it’s their fault and go into self-isolation. They think they see the fog in the street turn into their old friends, but they can’t go see in case they hurt them.

End:

Statement of a mortician. Idk, just seems like it would work.

Slaughter:

Statement of an American who moved to London. Regarding the last Black Friday shopping trip they took. It might have been the reason they left the U.S. On the trip, everyone was ready to kill for what they wanted, and everyone in the store did, until there was one person left. That’s the American Black Friday experience for ya.

Hunt:

A group of friends is on a camping trip when they hear wolves at night. Now, in America this is fine, but in Britain, wolves haven’t been part of the environment for many many moons. They can’t leave because it started storming the next day, and two of them are “sick.” Well, as you guessed, werewolves! One dealt with the urge to kill by leaving camp, but the other attack someone, leading to the others running with the friend that attacked them chasing them, along with the wolves. Basically Werewolf Games from The Hermit Archives or From The Archives.

Alex

Any time a character is aligned with either the Hunt or the Slaughter, there is going to be room for debate on which they better fit. There is a lot of overlap between the two, but a few key differences can help us pinpoint where a character belongs, and Alex fits the Slaughter.

After being haunted by the Operator, Alex concludes the only way to stop it is to kill his friends and then himself. He succeeds in killing Sarah, Seth, Amy, and later Jay. On paper, this scenario sounds similar to TMA episode 112, "Thrill of the Chase," which is associated with the Hunt, but a few key differences point to the Slaughter.

Unlike the Murder Club, Alex doesn't get pleasure from hunting his friends down. He's even reproachful toward Jay for dragging Jessica into their mess.

Alex uses intimate, painful, and violent methods. When he corners Tim in the shed, he attempts to bash his head in with a cinder block, which we see again with the bearded stranger in the tunnel. Alex is overly aggressive and violent with the kills we see; he gets caught up in the emotions like a Slaughter would. He doesn't give Jay a break either; Alex shoots him in the lower abdomen and leaves him to bleed out, which was the slowest and most painful way for Jay to die in that scenario.

At the end of the day, the only two entities I could see Alex being an avatar for would be the Slaughter and the Hunt. He left everything behind to pursue a grisly goal, and whether it centered around the chase or the kill, the result is the same.

I’ve been thinking about TMA (as is usual for me) and the four horsemen of the apocalypse (which isn’t usual for me), specifically how it ties into The Extinction.

Obviously The Extinction is going to be comprised of multiple entities so I’d like to give the four horsemen entity assignments. I will also just be calling them The [color] horse bc I don’t wanna type all that out.

First what are the four horsemen? The Red horse, The Pale horse, The Black horse, and The White horse. The Red horse carries a great sword, interpreted as War. The Pale horse, which is the only one in the original text to be specifically identified as something, is Death (you thought that would be the black one wouldn’t you?). The Black horse carries a balance scale, interpreted as Famine. The White horse, a conquer with a bow and crown, is the topic of a lot of debate, but often interpreted as conquest which brings plague (and this is how we will interpret it for arguments sake)

The Black horse needs some more explanation, it isn’t about crops dying or not being able to produce enough, it is about the upperclass taking a disproportional amount for themselves leaving the other 99% famished.

First, the obvious, The Pale horse is The End, I don’t think I need to explain my reasoning. The Red horse is the Slaughter, also pretty cut and dry, but also a bit of Desolation, War killing and destroying everything and everyone, whether you loved them or not.

The Black horse is pretty hard for me, it’s basically late stage capitalism and no fear entity fully aligns with that. But I can see it as a few different things, the Lonely mixed with The Eye with a hint of Desolation, someone destroying everything you ever loved as if you were a play thing or not even that. It could be a different mix of those three (I heavily associate capitalism to The Eye due to Elias Bouchard) but I still don’t really know about The Black horse.

Finally the one I surprisingly found easier even though what it represents itself is hard for people to pin down, The White horse is The Corruption with a hint of Desolation/Slaughter and Web. Conquest in the name of nothing but violence and conquering, that specifically brings pesticides and illnesses/bugs/etc that you have never heard of before. And one thing that I didn’t mention in my initial review on what The White horse was, was that is was said to carry The Antichrist, the willful bringer of the apocalypse (The Extinction) and the one who united all of these horses (Entities) under one ideal, to bring about the end of everything (again The Extintion). I feel like that is very Web aligned, it itself is not part of the Apocalypse, yet it brings it, creates it. And the Web always needs something to do, some big plan to orchestrate, what if the next one is to created the 15th fear entity, The Extinction?

Tbh that sounds like a really great fic idea and I might just write it myself.

So in summary we have (TLDR):

The Red horseman- The Slaughter with hints of Desolation

The Pale horseman- The End

The Black horseman- uhhhhh capitalism? (The Eye, Lonely, maybe a bit Desolation, maybe a bit of Hunt????? No idea, someone else will need to help me on that) [ @the-archived-puppet suggested The Buried since being crushed under debt is very capitalism]

The White horseman- The Corruption with hints of Desolation/Slaughter

The Antichrist- The Web
