Disgaea 7 DLC Episode: Mortal Kombat
Part 1: Descendant of the Great Kung Lao
Fuji: "This is the place, eh? I'll admit, I appreciate it's somewhere quiet for once."
Pirilika: "I'm surprised you agreed to come here after getting that letter, Fuji. I thought for sure you'd be first to suspect a trap."
Fuji: "I am. I'm only here right now because I have time to kill. The moment I see the one who sent me the letter, I'll cut them down before they have a chance to spring whatever trap they have in mind! Who knows, they might have a few coins in their pockets once I'm done."
Pirilika: "Okay, but what if it's not a trap?"
Fuji: "Yeah right, like someone's actually going to give me a life changing opportunity."
???: "Oh ye of little faith. You need to learn to relax a little."
A man walks up to the two of them.
Fuji: "So, you're the one who sent that letter?"
Kung Lao: "I'm...one of them. The name's Kung Lao. I know it may not mean much now, but trust me, it's one of legends."
Pirilika: "The Kung Lao? You're right. That's not a legendary name I'm familiar with, and I've read about thousands."
Fuji: "It may be legendary wherever he's from, but it won't mean much here. So, what do you want from me Mr. Kung Pao?"
Kung Lao: "It's Kung LAO, and like the letter said, my friends and I want to give you a life changing opportunity. But to do that, we need to test your skills."
Fuji: "If you wanted a fight, you could have just said that. It would have things a whole lot easier."
Pirilika: "What is this life changing opportunity, anyway?"
Kung Lao: "Defeat the three us and you'll find out, though I must warn you, since I'm your first opponent, it should be a clear sign that it won't be easy."
Part 2: Kitana, Outworld's Edenian Princess
Fuji: "So much for the Legendary Kung Lao. I don't know what's more disappointing, that fight or the fact that he was dead broke."
Pirilika: "Keep your neck up, Fuji. There are still two more fighters around here, right?"
Fuji: "You mean "keep your chin up", and remember, I'm not expecting anything grand anyway. We're just killin' some time here."
???: "Wow, you made it past Kung Lao faster than I expected.
A woman walks up to the two of them.
Pirilika: "A woman this time, and she's beautiful at that."
Fuji: "You're my next opponent for this little test? Just so you know, I'm not going to hold back because you're a woman."
Kitana: "Good. That means I won't have to fail you on the spot. I am Princess Kitana. Pleased to make your acquaintance."
Fuji: "Princess? You look more like an assassin."
Kitana: "Well, I would be lying if I didn't say I have quite a bit of blood on my hands."
Pirilika: "A beautiful princess assassin? She's so cool! I never imagined I'd run into someone like her in Hinomoto. I'm so glad I finally came here"
Fuji: "And here I thought you were just fixated on bushido. Still, let's see if you're any better than that Kung Lao, guy from earlier."
Kitana: "Aren't I supposed to be the one judging you right now? I highly advise you keep your ego in check."
Part 3: The Chosen God, Liu Kang
Pirilika: "Fuji, did you really have to knock her out like that? I was going to ask her about her fashion."
Fuji: "Hey, she said she'd fail me if I went easy on her. Besides, she's alive and breathing, ain't she? Just ask her when she wakes up."
Pirilika: "But what if she leaves before I get the chance? Ooh, I'm getting the case of the FoMO right now!"
Fuji: "Piriko, calm down. Her last buddy is up ahead, so she'll probably head straight here after she wakes up."
Pirilika: "You really think so?"
Fuji: "If it gets you to shut up, yes."
Pirilika: "Okay...thanks for calming me down Fuji."
Fuji: "What did I say about thanking me?!"
???: "You two have quite the interesting relationship."
A man with glowing eyes descends toward them.
Pirilika: "Woah, he's definitely different from the other two."
Fuji: "You're telling me. I can feel my blood pumping just by looking at him."
Liu Kang: "I am Liu Kang, God of Fire and protector of Earthrealm."
Pirilika: "Earthrealm? Is that like an alternate human world?"
Liu Kang: "Yes... you could say that."
Fuji: "So a literal god is my last opponent? Talk about a difficulty spike."
Liu Kang: "A spike you say? But Fuji, you have been fighting gods this whole time."
Fuji: "The hell do you mean by that? Your friends back there are gods too?"
Liu Kang: "All will be explained after this battle...if you succeed that is."
Fuji: "Ugh, I hate it when people are cryptic! Fine, God of Fire, you want me to cut you down so bad?! I'll be sure to do my absolute worst with you!"
-after the battle...-
Fuji: "How's that, God of Fire?!"
Liu Kang: "You are as skilled as they say, Fuji. It seems we made the right choice traveling to this reality."
Pirilika: "This reality? What do you-"
Kung Lao: "So, how'd the test go, Chosen One?"
Kung Lao and Kitana go up to the group.
Liu Kang: "He has passed with flying colors. The question now is will he be willing to join us."
Fuji: "Join you? In what? You better start explaining now before I start cutting all of you down!"
Liu Kang: "Calm yourself, Fuji. As promised, we will tell you everything. Do you remember the promise for a life changing opportunity in the letter we sent?"
Kitana: "That opportunity is about joining us to prepare for an upcoming war."
Pirilika: "A war?"
Liu Kang: "Yes, unlike any other seen before. You see, Kung Lao, Kitana, and I are all titans. We are guardians of our own timelines from a different reality.
Fuji: "Guardians of timelines?"
Kung Lao: "It's a lot to take in. Another titan named Kronica kept resetting the timeline we used to be a part of and long story short, our timelines started to split."
Kitana: "Furthermore, there's a powerful evil that is currently planning to either destroy or take over our timelines. Because of that, we decided to search for allies who would be willing to help us when the time comes."
Liu Kang: "When we came here to Hinomoto, we heard about your abilities Fuji and considered you a potential candidate. That being said, you are not obligated to join us if you do not wish to. After all, this reality will not be affected by the upcoming war."
Pirilika: "Multiple timelines going into war with each other in a different reality? That's bigger than the Omi War movie I saw a few years ago! What do you think, Fuji? Should we help them out?"
Fuji: "You idiot! Did you forget why you came to Hinomoto in the first place?! I can't pay off my debt until we're finished collecting all the legendary weapons!"
Pirilika: "That's... a good point."
Fuji: "Look, Liu Kang, right? I already got a lot on my plate right now, so I'm afraid you're going to have to look somewhere else for help."
Liu Kang: "That... is a shame, but I understand."
Kung Lao: "Guess we're back to square one, huh?"
Pirilika: "Are you going to be staying in Hinomoto for a while."
Kitana: "At least a little bit to search for someone to aid us. Why?"
Pirilika: "Well, since we're traveling all around Hinomoto ourselves, why don't you join us on our ship? It'll make searching a lot easier."
Liu Kang: "We do not wish to impose..."
Pirilika: "Don't worry, there's plenty of room and you can stay as long as you like. All I want in exchange is for Kitana to tell me about her clothes."
Kitana: "Oh? You're interested in Edenia's culture?"
Pirilika: "I'm a massive otaku and I run my own fashion company. To say that I was smitten when I first saw you would be an understatement."
Kung Lao: "I bet Liu Kang knows exactly how you felt."
Liu Kang: "Why...whatever do you mean by that, Kung Lao?"
Kitana: "I see... and do you oppose to this idea, Fuji?"
Fuji: "Hey, she owns the ship and I work for her under contract, so I don't really have much say."
Pirilika: "Don't be like that Fuji. I value the opinions of all my employees."
Fuji: "What's crazy is the fact that you're the first CEO that might be telling the truth when you say that."
Kitana: "Very well. This is something I can agree with."
Liu Kang: "I thank you for allowing us to board your vessel, Pirilika. As for you Fuji, if you ever change your mind, don't be afraid to let us know."
Fuji: "Yeah well, once I take care of my debt, I might think about it. No promises."
