Just saw your newest post (ouch-) and I was reading the comments and one talked about Titan Bi-Han, which got me thinking :

How do you think Kuai and Tomas would be around him? Whether it’s just sitting across from him or being in a convo, how’d you think they’d be like with someone so similar yet so different?

It would definitely be difficult. They'd be seeing Titan Bi-Han not long after Bi-Han's betrayal.

At first the two would be ready for a fight and Liu Kang would have to tell them that this Bi-Han was different. Then they'd finally notice his clothes, how he carried himself and that his eyes were softer.

They both would try to react in a professional manner while keeping talk to a minimum but I do think their reactions would vary.

Kuai Liang would be keeping things to a minimum because it would hurt too much. Bi-Han betrayed them but that's still his brother and he cares about him. And yes, this Bi-Han is different but he sounds and looks the same. Talking with this Bi-Han would be difficult but he'd force himself too.

We don't know their relationship in the other timeline but assuming they're still brothers, Bi-Han would try to talk to them and Kuai Liang would keep things minimal as possible. In his mind, this Bi-Han will have to leave and he'll be back to dealing with his own Bi-Han so there's no point in talking and getting attached and obsessed with someone you cannot have.

Tomas would try and keep things minimal but for different reasons. I think he'd assume this Bi-Han would be equally as annoyed by him so he stays out the way. When Bi-Han actually starts talking to him, he'd probably be surprised. He'd especially be surprised if Bi-Han said he was Lin Kuei still, even if he wasn't by blood.

I can see Kuai Liang trying to avoid looking at this Bi-Han, but I think Tomas would do the opposite once he knows this Bi-Han isn't like his. I think he'd find himself staring at him and not breaking eye contact, which can make him seem a bit weird but in reality he's trying to memorize what Bi-Han with softer eyes looks like. His Bi-Han looks at him with annoyance, this one looks at him like he'd look at any other human. Tomas would wanna remember this, so when this Bi-Han leaves, he can still picture it and imagine what could've been.

And Bi-Han isn’t dumb so he knows something is up but he just assumes he died in this timeline. He’d only find out the truth if he asked about Kuai Liang’s scar I think. And honestly I can see Kuai Liang getting really defensive and kinda angry about it. He shouldn’t because this Bi-Han hasn’t done anything wrong but he’s in mourning. Whenever we saw Bi-Han, we saw Kuai Liang so we can assume they were close. Someone close to you betraying you will leave you with so many conflicted emotions. I wouldn’t be surprised if Kuai Liang is extremely angry and holding it in. Tomas is probably conflicted because Bi-Han isn’t nice to him but he still never wanted to lose another family.

When this Bi-Han leaves, they’d both think they made the right decision. Kuai Liang thinks he did the right thing by not speaking to him much and keeping to himself. He has bigger things to worry about and is becoming the Grandmaster of a new clan. Becoming attached to that Bi-Han (which he knows would happen) would make him plaster him on his current Bi-Han and get others hurt. Tomas on the other hand would be relieved he got to experience a Bi-Han that wasn’t critical of everything he did, even if it wasn’t for long. I think this Bi-Han would weirdly give him closure. Kinda like “if he wanted to, he would”. If Bi-Han wanted to treat him nicely and like a human, he would. Another version of him could. This would show that Tomas isn’t the problem. It’s Bi-Han. And that would help him sleep better.

okok so Bilao, yes. But Titan Bilao. So Mk11 Kung Lao and soft/calmer Bi han (mf looks soft and calmer but is probably just as, if not more, deadly)

two touched starved idiots, one who is clingy and touchy and the other who isn’t used to a touch that isn’t violent and harmful.

Lao just softly putting his hands on Bi Han’s waist or cheek with no ill intent, and that man short circuits and turns brighter than a tomato. Lao would also definitely comb through Bi Han’s hair and do different sorts of hairstyles, he knows his hair, he’s had practically ever type of hair style.

and and (I’m not done yet) Bi Han giving Lao the attention and praise (he fucking deserves) for anything he does and making him be seen (and not liu kangs shadow), and that man turns all gushy and blushy (that last couple words were fucking cringe but I’m tired)

so we have acts of service and words of appreciation. And then we have quality time and physical touch

An interesting detail about Titan Bi-Han

I'm sure I'm not the first one to point this out, but can we talk about how Union of Light Bi-Han is no longer wearing the Lin Kuei symbol attached to the ribbon on his arm?

I'd like to think that it's because Union of Light Bi-Han is finally free of the Lin Kuei's influence. While our timeline's Bi-Han's only focus is the future of his clan, a future he is willing to die for, this Titan version of Bi-Han seems at peace with himself and content with where he stands in life. Whatever journey he's been on, it must have helped him to see the bigger picture and helped shape him into a more mature and responsible person, which is why he's helping in the fight against Titan Shang Tsung. Union of Light Bi-Han is still a proud Lin Kuei, but his loyalty to his clan no longer dominates his life.

To the main timeline's Bi-Han, the Lin Kuei are the bigger picture. It's also quite interesting that the Lin Kuei symbol on his arm is worn on the left side, the side the heart is on. SPOILERS: In a leaked intro dialogue with Ermac, Bi-Han mentions that the Lin Kuei fight as one with him as their heart and mind. Having lost his brothers, his clan is now all Bi-Han has left and knowing that he will lose that too makes his ending all the more bitter.

I'd really like to know Union of Light Bi-Han's backstory. Is he still the Lin Kuei's grandmaster? Maybe he left the clan like he did in one of his old arcade endings, maybe in his own timeline, the Lin Kuei are much more peaceful than in other timelines. I wish we could see more of that version of Bi-Han, but I doubt we will.
