a list of things EJ Caswell deserved to hear this season. It’s really not that hard Tim.
I’m proud of you!
I understand you’re busy. I won’t pressure you to do ___.
I can see you’re under a lot of stress. How can I help you?
Your stress and anxiety are valid.
As a first time director, did an amazing job on directing the play! given how this was thrown in you last minute, with only two weeks to prepare and no supervision or guidance or help to assist you in the process, you pulled it off and did a truly exceptional job at that! You should be proud of yourself! I am proud of you!
I’m sorry you’ve been busy this summer. I can see you’re doing everything you can to try and make this work. And I appreciate that.
You are worthy and loved and always have been, regardless of what external sources say or don’t say.
You don’t need your dad’s praise or validation to prove your worthiness or competency at anything. You already have that within yourself.
Your dreams are valid and you deserve to pursue anything your heart desires, regardless of how lucrative it is

[ID: A digital comic of Sam and Celia from The Magnus Protocol and Danny from The Magnus Archives on a gray background. Everyone is colored in a single color. Sam is red, Celia is green, and Danny is yellow. Sam is a fat Arab man with short curly dark hair, a mustache, and a small goatee, and he is wearing small black earrings, a cardigan, a turtleneck, trousers and loafers. Celia is a slim Korean woman with short dark hair and she is wearing rectangular glasses, piercings including an industrial piercing, an x-shaped earring, and snakebites, a button-down shirt with the sleeves rolled up, a vest, trousers, and black wrist cuffs. Danny is a tall, beefy Latino man with short hair, a cut in his brow, and a "cat mouth" and he is wearing small hoop earrings and a waiter uniform including an apron and name tag.
Sam and Celia sit at a table looking tired. Sam is resting his chin on his hand and Celia has her fingers steepled.
Sam: We'll NEVER get what we need without this specific thing and/or connection. WHATEVER will we DO?
Danny appears holding a notepad and pen, shrugging sheepishly and smiling with flowers around his head. Sam and Celia sit up, smiling at him excitedly with their hands in the air
Danny: UM, I might just know a guy!
Sam: Our regular waiter, Danny Stoker!
Celia: You ALWAYS have what we need!
Danny: HAHA, what can I say?

We got the Shapeshifter episode so let's look at whose was whose, and what it says about the characters!
We'll start with Laios because he's the simplest. Despite both his own and the parties doubts, he does have a solid idea of who everyone is in his head, all their personalities match (well, his Marcile is a little more serious), but as stated it's the little details he gets wrong, Chilchucks wrap, Senshi's helmet and Marcile's hair.
Chilchuck is more interesting as a character study, because while it's easy to write off as "hater energy" I do think it says more about him than that. His Senshi is the most simple probably because he knows Senshi least, his thoughts are just "that handsome dwarf", but he has worked with Laios and Marcile for a while and suddenly they've become more unpredictable to him. Visually they're both accurate, but Laios' monster eating and Marcile's forbidden magic have altered his perception, while the "I must consume" Laios is more overt, this is what he pictures as Marcile's spellbook.
Marcile and Senshi I'll handle together because their biases both come from the same place: they're longer lived and have more of a focus on first impressions, because to them it's not been as long as it is for others, AND they have more overt racial bias. Both of them see Chilchuck as a child, in the bonus Senshi diary pages he actually thinks Chilchuck is a child tall-man, not a half-foot. Their Laios' also speak to this first impression/bias idea. Tall-Men look effeminate to Dwarves, so his Laios is soft and very Falin-like, while Marcile was told he looked "just like Falin" and was taken a back by his masculine features and blows them out of proportion.
Finally, Senshi's Marcile is, as stated in the description there, purely from bias, but again looking at the Senshi diary, it's also how he draws her when petrified
I mainly wanted to make this post because on the surface it seems odd that Laios' Shapeshifters are so "normal" while everyone else's, especially their ideas of him, are more caricature and I wanted to explore how it's not like, then being bad friends or being mean, but an example of character exploration!
(spoiler under cut)
And it could always be much worse

That cut off tee has be feeling g a lot of ways.
We haven’t seen Buck in a cut off tee since his posturing at Eddie in the firehouse gym wayyyyyy back in 2x01
I don’t know why but that fact and the fact that this might very likely be from ep 100 is giving me how it started how it’s going vibes - there’s just something about the idea of them playing into Bucks jealousy and it making him do stupid things (like sprain someone’s arm or whatever injury he causes).
It’s the combination of the cut off tee that connects to the jealous posturing, the water theme and the construction on sunset theme all being put together in one scene that has me feeling things.
Idk i can’t articulate it right now
